easy to use and free stickers and in game items. good stuff!
This is a nifty tool to use for Pokémon codes!!! Only thing is that, if you, perhaps, find the qr a couple days earlier, you have to alter your settings to a specific date, and sometimes places do that, but when you try to redeem the code into the game, you have to wait till the server is open for the event, which can take a long time.
What location services?? 3/5
I checked the settings for Location Services and I can guarantee that this app is NOT on that list!
Edit: Okay so it does have location services, but too little too late!
It said event ended on 23rd, usually when this happens, event ends at 11:59 on the day of the end, but I went all the way to the location only to find the event ended on the 22nd. I wish they just used Mystery Gift instead of this annoying inconvenient app.
Doesn’t work while in a target 1/5
I went to two targets and it does not recognize that I am in one both times.
Doesn’t work at all 1/5
Went to target that had the QR code for the shiny Pokémon Lets go event during the time period for it and the app wouldn’t pull up the QR scanner for it so me and my girlfriend were unable to get it the event Pokémon. Don’t waste your time on this app
i cant sign in 5/5
Wen i try to sign in they want me to put my parents email so i did but it didn’t work
I can’t wait for more activities to do! 5/5
By Glitched Fox
I love this app and I like that I got a Detective Pikachu photo sticker when I got the app. This app is perfect for Pokémon fans of all ages. The app is super accurate so thats why I give it a 5-⭐️ rating. I hope everyone else love the app as well and I like how you get new activities when the time for the old activities runs out
It needs to be fixed 1/5
By Auntie Felicia
The idea of the app is cool, but you cannot even access it. I was able to log in with my Pokémon trainer club account, however it prevented me from using the app without location services. So I went into the settings to try and activate the location services, but the option was not available, so I could not even use the app. If they fixed all of the problems, then it could be decent, but for now it is a complete failure.
Signing up and they think they know how I spell things 1/5
Um... I think I know how to spell my own email, thank you service that doesn’t know a single thing about me.
A REAL review 1/5
All the reviews are idiots who can’t login because they didn’t verify the account. I haven’t even seen a real review yet. Basically all this app does is show you news on events and mystery gifts. That’s literally all it does. You can get stickers but what does it even do? Just feels like a boring fan made app showing you news for events.
Needs Improvement 1/5
By why. ?
This app is useless for people with multiple switches and multiple copies of games. I use to be able to get my Pokémon distributions for both games now I can only get it for one. Bad.
A Target only app 1/5
This seems like a fun way to get Pokémon but all challenges are for Target stores, nearest one from me is 2 hours. So disappointing
iOS users left out 1/5
Doesn’t work on iPhone despite being in a Target with locations and notifications enabled - was standing in front of the QR code and nothing was popping up
Worst app so far 1/5
After contacting the customer support 3 separate times, they have yet to resolve my issue of the app not recognizing that I’m inside a target store. The employees even told me that for many others it doesnt work either. If your app worked, I’m happy for you and jealous. If you have the same issue as myself, I feel your pain.
It always said something wasn’t wrong
Hey, free stuff 5/5
By Its Just Jaden
I’ll get straight to the point: this is a great app. I mean, you get free Pokémon, stickers, and other things just for going to your local store. Who can turn down a free shinies for your Pokemon Let’s Go games?
Clunky, Redundant, and Uneccesary 1/5
By Avial Andrew
You know how when a Pokemon event happens, you’d typically go to a store, grab a ticket, and put in a code on your game? Imagine that but with a lot of asinine steps in between.
I was a bit skeptical when I found out that this app was needed for the current Pokemon event, but I bit the bullet. My phone isn’t compatible, so I downloaded it through my iPad instead. The log in wasn’t too bad, but that’s only because I had an account to begin with. I can’t imagine trying to jump in without one. Afterwards, I went to Target, tracked down the sign, and scanned it. What happened next was comical bordering on satire. I attempted to view the codes I had been given, only to find a giant yellow button reading “See Details” was in my way. Ironic huh? Anyway, until I get this resolved, this is my review. The pngs that can be edited into an existing photo with a simple editor doesn’t help either. Sorry.
Some of us have had a hard time logging in but how do you get the freaking camera
Scanning doesn’t work 1/5
We tried to use this at Target for the Detective Pikachu event and there is no way to scan the codes. :(
Has potential if it would work 2/5
By Ruler of Popstar
I feel like this could be a really useful app if it was able to work as they advertised it to. There is currently an event going on at Target, but I couldn’t get it to ever work and according to the workers no one who has come in has been able to get it work. Apparently the app is supposed to track your location that way you can get notified about when you can get the items in question, but in the case of my local Target, they say they only tagged a certain part of the store to be recognized, and only those with Android devices have had luck even getting it to recognize that. Overall I understand the concept of this app and I think it could be really useful, but until they work out some of these major bugs I wish they would just go back to how they were doing the events before.
Good concept bad execution 2/5
I like the idea of the app, but during this Target event it would not work for me, or anybody else that came in to try. The target guy recommended trying a different target maybe it has something to do with the GPS? This target is over five years old you think it would be there by now. I can see this being a problem in the future, and forcing people to fake their GPS locations due to it thinking we aren't in the store when we really are.
No a good app 1/5
By its not a good app
This app doesn’t work. I can log on but the app never finds me. I have tried for a few days to get a shiny pika but the scanner never shows. Wrote to tech and they said it was user error but no one in my area can make it work
The event was supposed to happen may 11-june 23 not just on the 11 for the kids only detective pikachu event. The display was missing completely from the toy department and then was told since i was an adult i would have to pay $8 for the code. I miss the old events gamestops and toys r us used to hold for the games. Kids are not the only ones playing pokemon 😡

It is really good
Worst app 1/5
Worst app ever!!! Did not work at all!!!! Do not get!!!!
Really doesnt work! 2/5
Launch week for shiny Pikachu and Eevee? Oh how about using location services? Oh wait, it doesnt work inside the store! So guess who cant get it work after spending an hour at target? Such a lame way to give out codes, should have learned from how pokemon go’s locations worked (cause its off quite a bit).
Window is too small 2/5
The screen does not format to anything other than a phone making the app nearly unusable
There is currently an event going on thru May 11-June 23. This is a lie. The event was only one day.
Doesn’t work for iPhone 1/5
I have troubleshooted everything I could have I have reinstalled the app, I turned on location, allowed notifications and access to my camera and it never popped up to take pictures of qr codes. Meanwhile my husband Android it works perfectly for. What I find odd is we logged in with my account on both phones and my phone the activities weren’t completed but they are on his so this leads me to believe the activities are NOT linked to your account rather then they are linked to your phone. I’m disappointed. Please fix this for iPhones before the giveaway is over.
Doesn’t work 1/5
Won’t scan the Qr code at all to get the shiny Pokémon. Tried multiple times, screen just constantly flashes while trying to scan does nothing. How can I get my shiny Pokémon.
Very easy to use! I like this new approach! 5/5
The app works as advertised. Basically you have to be in the area in which the event is taking place and then scan the QR code.
The only issue I see with this method is that maybe for whatever reason certain people cannot download apps on their phone for whatever reason and young kids will have to use their parents phone.
Mind you that middle bit isn’t a knock against the app itself but maybe if The Pokémon company is reading this they can offer an additional solution.
Useless app 1/5
This app is absolutely useless
Hard to log in and dumb idea 1/5
This app is super annoying to log into and the security is crazy for some app made for kids and if you get the password wrong more than 5 times it gets disabled temporarily. Also the whole concept of having to use the app and find QR codes around target to receive one Pokémon card, poster, and a shiny Eevee/Pikachu is stupid. I miss the good old days when you could walk into GameStop, get the free event stuff, and walk out.
Very Frustrating 1/5
Don’t get this if you don’t wanna get mad. It’s very frustrating to sign up.
Not parent friendly 2/5
This app might be great for a single person with one account but as a parent it blows. If you have one more account for kids, it is ridiculous to try to link accounts and get logged in. We are at an event today and I have now been blocked and can’t log in to participate so one kid gets the code and one doesn’t. Thanks niantic, this was way more stressful than fun.
Have to accept their spam 1/5
You can’t use the app unless you agree to join their marketing lists and allow them to send you spam and share your info with their marketing partners.
Yet another Pokemon app. Why are there like 12 different apps all for the same game? Why not make 1 that does it all. Let’s also make it have a super complicated password for a simple game that I will never remember. Not worth the effort.
Okay for what it is. 3/5
This app is likely what Game Freak is going to be using for Pokémon distributions in the future. To that end, it seems serviceable enough. My main gripe is that that’s ALL it’s does. I feel like a “Pokémon app” could be expanded to accommodate things like the global link or other online features, and I’d like to see it become something more in the future.
Log in trouble 3/5
I sign up my Pokémon Trainer Club using please allow using my link google account to log in please
Easy App. Don’t Believe Reviews. 5/5
I was a little hesitant on using after reading the reviews, but Pokémon is something I always gotta be a part of, so I tried the app. To be honest, the log-in is not a problem. Just follow the steps, and you’ll be good. It just needs you to sign into your Pokémon Trainer account on the Pokémon website, then approve the terms and conditions. After all that, Pokémon Pass will allow you to sign in and receive the rewards. That’s all, and it didn’t take me long to figure that all out. Hope you all enjoy the rewards from Pokémon Pass!
Pointless (cash grab) 1/5
By unsatisfied pokemon fan
All it gives you are “stickers” you can use in the camera setting (on the app) so you can take a pic with pikachu.... doesn’t help you with anything at all..?! Just another Pokémon cash grab!
Broken and ridiculous 1/5
I contacted support and nothing.
So I have locations enabled
And it keeps saying I don’t.
And when you go to settings it doesn’t show locations for the app
It shows camera, siri, notifications and background refresh.
When I click onto any of those it doesn’t do anything.
Good job Nintendo! This is an outrage because I can’t get any Pokemon and all because you guys won’t ship codes to target/GameStop etc?
Update - App now in order 5/5
Once the initial bugs were out - allright, this is a good app. :)
I love this app. Best idea by the Pokémon company. I love how thy are going green now 2 save paper on the code cards now and gone with this app 2 get the codes now. Best idea by the Pokémon Company and Nintendo.
Login broken on iOS 1/5
Exact same credentials work on Android and not iOS. People saying that users are doing it wrong are absolutely wrong.
The iOS app isn't allowing certain characters in the passwords. If you have a complex password (like one generated by a password manager), then you'll need to change it to login.
iOS devs need to get on the ball here.
Username NOT email 5/5
By T-Man Dessert lizard.
I struggled to log in for the past three days (like many others). I originally was trying to log in using the email associated with the account and my password. Then I noticed the app wants USERNAME not EMAIL. Once I put in my username, it logged in without a problem. Hopefully this helps others who are having issues.
- ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 1/5
By You have got to be kidding 🙄
Impossible to login. Awkward to try determine what information is needed and no access to technical support. HUGE waste of time 😡
How to fix login issues 4/5
This app doesn’t support most special characters in the password, even though the website for trainers club does. Just change password to only use letters (upper and lower, of course) and numbers, no symbols. Not sure why the dev hasn’t made a more formal post acknowledging the issue.
