Just one question 5/5
I don’t understand when they give the location of an incident with the capital letters BLDG.
That is something new… What does it mean?
Great App!! 5/5

A Remarkable Service to the Community 5/5
I’m an advanced EMT in Wisconsin, and I use the App to keep tabs on my service’s calls when I’m not on duty. My entire family has begun to use the App whenever they hear a siren so that they can see what’s up. Finally, I’ve responded to 1 PulsePoint alert for a sudden cardiac arrest. It felt great to be a resource even when off duty!
Text size 3/5

I realy ths ap one prob the text siize is way to small - no option to the text sie - no pinch to enlarge the text - fix that and my star rating will go up
I love PulsePoint...let’s me know if my EMT daughter is on a call.
By Old hose roller.
I was told that you are only alerted to CPR calls at business not at homes, is that true? There has been 2 CPR calls within a 1/2 block
From my home with out an alert.
My neighbors know I'm a EMT.
This App is helpful in giving you a basic idea of what is going on with your local fire departments.
Pulse point 5/5
Would like to see more west county and south county and st Charles districts on this. Would also like to see more incidents.
PulsePoint review 3/5
The PulsePoint app overall is decent. There are a few things I would like to see change on the app such as information being more accurate. Information regarding active emergencies are often in accurate, especially when it comes to the status of the units working the emergency scene. It also happens very often where I see an emergency myself yet it’s never reported on the app. The app is good to have however there are definitely some changes that should be made in my opinion.
Saves Lives 5/5
I have personally responded to several CPR notifications and as an EMT this app is fantastic for use while at work.
I don’t think they include where every ambulance is because sometimes I’ll see a rescue squad go by and I’ll check this site and it doesn’t show it. I’ve even checked hours later and it never shows up. I feel; either show where they ALL are or don’t show any of them. What’s the big secret?
I work in EMS and PulsePoint helps us out tremendously!
Wonderful App 5/5
By 2 in the clouds
Being retired from the emergency medical field, it’s nice to know what is going on around me. Doubly nice if someone needs CPR. And absolutely invaluable living in CA wildfire country. It has also come in handy when family, who live in other parts of the country or state, are having weather, flood or fire situations.
Great APP 5/5

Know what’s going on 5/5
By Steve in Folsom
Great software. Lets you know what is going on.
Great app to keep you informed 5/5
Lately it is not sharing the incident as the call comes in on pulse point.
When I see a fire engine heading into my neighborhood I look on pulse point and nothing is posted.
And when I see an ambulance and fire truck racing down the road I look to see if I should choose a different route but nothing is posted.
Then an hour later I may look again and see that there was a medical emergency about the time I heard the sirens.
It used to post at the same time the units were dispatched.
Great for local info 5/5
This is a great app for medical, fire, traffic and other issues happening in real time. I use it in addition to a scanner app.
PulsePoint review 5/5
Not much to say except it’s a awesome App and I know what street I have to avoid when leaving the house. I get notifications on front of phone. Need one just like it for police activities. They zoom down behind a major street behind my house. Always wonder why.
The Best... 5/5
Now just adjust the time frame to 1 minute...behind...
Great Program 5/5
Very reliable. My company does not use this but the fire department in my area does.
Thank you 5/5
Love this app please keep up the good work
My County 5/5
Anyway you guys could add the county I live in to this it would be amazing and I would love to help you guys out if you need help
By Mini bob girl
Great app! We have family in the area and have access to staying on top of any medical or other emergencies plus very helpful knowing any accidents that may impede our commutes and travel.
Time Commitment 4/5
I would love to have the time committed to the alarms added back to the screen. It was very useful in determining wether a call was important enough to review the following day.
It’s worth it 4/5
By davey danger
It’s habit forming so use it carefully. I find myself checking the app every time I see an emergency vehicle on the way to a call.
As an EMS provider 5/5
We use this to literally map ourselves to calls when we don’t hear dispatch properly. It’s awesome.
Great app 4/5
It's great just need to turn the radio back on
I hate when SJFD is down and communication is delayed. Torture!
Need more event definition 4/5
Would like to see more event definitions such as for Public Service Is that a cat rescue? School event?
Great tool 5/5
I use this app all the time. It’s nice to know where traffic collisions are so I can do an alternate route. Not to mention that I also used it to save a life. It’s great for that. Thank goodness that they developed this app.
Simply the best 5/5

I live the updated information and how useful it is
Well Done 5/5
I was surprised has to how quickly the calls are received. The maps are also very helpful.
Retired Fire Medic
Pulse point is always about 1-2 minutes late before you get an alert, and half the time you don’t even get an alert. There’s been multiple car accidents close to me that I go to, and there’s already ambulances on scene because it was so late getting the notification.
Cool App! 5/5
I love this app! My son is a EMT student and did a clinical with a PulsePoint Dept. It was fun to see what calls he was going on.
Orange County Fire Rescue 1/5
Structure fires, House Fires, and other incidents aren’t getting paged out anymore and are coded as a generic “emergency response”
Could be better 3/5
By noneof your businesd
There are times when it seems that there is a quite a delay between the time a call appears on PulsePoint and the call being dispatched. Are all fire trucks both red city and yellow county trucks showing ip on PulsePoint?
Luv y'all 5/5
I luv y'all
Because my dad is a firefighter and it's good to see all the stuff going on in stafford and see any calls near me
Great app 5/5
Works well! Love the update! This is a wonderful app for us first responders and great for the community!
Awesome App. 5/5
Awesome app, as firefighter I can hear what is going on in my city when I’m off which is pretty cool. I JUST WISH THAT RADIO BANDS DO NOT MIX IN CERTAIN ZONES (cities)
By Hillbilly midget
This app helps me to know what goes on in my city
Great App 5/5
I love knowing what’s happening around me. Thank you for keeping me informed!!
Outcome of having pulse point 5/5
Comes in very handy to have! I can avoid accident areas, fire area's! Glad they came out with this!
Map option 5/5
Would be better if you were able to see a pin drop on a map.
Not working in KC 1/5
Was working great in Kern county ca. but not working now. Shows no incidents.
Dislike the update 5/5
Why’d you get rid of the time duration that the call was open?
Highly recommend 5/5
I'm telling all my coworkers, friends, and family about this app now. I was able to respond to a notification that someone nearby needed CPR, and I arrived on scene to do so (successfully, too! Yay!). The only suggestion I have is that when the address for the event shows, there should be an option to pull up that address in a maps application to navigate. I had to punch the address in on a separate app and fumbled it pretty good since I was nervous, but having this feature would have made this a 5-star rating.
6/18: Updating my review to 5 stars since the amazing developers added the mapping feature.
Version 3.2.2 review 5/5
Update for 3.2.2
Thanks for adding Incident Duration back to the screen. Helps to know which calls were major and which were either minor or false alarms.
Update for 3.2.1
I like the look of the new icons and traffic directions will have to wait for an incident to support them.
But i do not see the time on scene for the responders at all anymore. It used to be on call page so easy to tell what was important and what was a false alarm. Then they moved it to the icon so you had to click on each call. Now it is gone altogether. I know space was a factor before but that really does help to know if a fire call was critical and took 2 hours or just a burning pot on a stove and took 20 minutes.
Update for version 3.12
Still works great. Occasionally agencies will change their protocols or equipment and the app may not get all the calls right away, rare but does happen. Not the apps fault but they get it resolved quickly.
Local agency recently upgraded their radios and that made it harder to pick up the tactical channels used by units on a call. Still not perfect but they are working on it.
Update for 3.2.6 -
Version 3.1.1 had occasional loss of agency but it was noted on their website with a work around until this fix came out. Have not had any other issues with losing settings and app continues to be very useful. Only thing I miss is on the Active/Recent calls page they took off the field about how long the call lasted. That helped to differentiate between False Alarm calls and calls that were important without having to click on each one individually.
Update for 3.1.1. Talked to developer and settings seem to have stabilized now. New lower light bulb wattage on agency makes it easier to read unit status. Will need to test more as well.
Update: 3.03. The settings to alert me when incidents happen keep getting wiped out every few days. No rhyme or reason as to why this happens. I have iPhone 5 with IOS 6. Reducing to 2 Stars. Good app if it was more stable and they tweaked the color effects, see review below. Version 2.x never did this. If you have 2.x stay there until they resolve some of these issues.
Update: 3.02 the notifications settings keep resetting to none and I have to keep turning them on. Not sure why but it is annoying to keep checking on them.
Also the flashlight look indicating the dept being monitored has a glare below it that makes the top incident hard to read. No reason to have it and should be removed.
Thanks for fixing the maps in v 3.01. Finally able to see the text again.
I like the ability to easily switch between multiple agencies.
Found out my problem with broadcast button. It is a push button, not a sliding button. Push the picture of the microphone on the right of the slider and it turns on. Push again and it turns off. A little confusing since it looks like you should slide it to the right to turn it on.
Giving it 5 stars with the new readable maps and now that I can hear again
Great app 5/5
A lot of people on the job use this app every day. Please could you add some kind of route it feature from a current location to the app?
Works great but scanner doesn’t work
