QBO Works Great, We Love It - except…. 4/5
We’ve come to truly appreciate QuickBooks Online and it’s flexible mobility. The cloud based app does practically everything a company would want no an accounting/bookkeeping/invoicing system. We have very few complaints and their support is top notch. I would give QBO 5 Stars if I were able to enter Bills from the Mobile App AND got the Invoice modifications we asked for over 2 1/2 years ago. We spent about a week getting QBO Support Staff to understand or seemingly simple request. Turns out apparently wasn’t so simple and was told QBO Developers would have to change the code to give us one more User Defined Field on our Invoices. We were told it would be in the next upcoming App Rev & it wasn’t and we still don’t have it. Get that done & give me ability to input Bills on Mobile Device and this App is STRONG 5 Stars. Will edit review if &/or when we get these 2 things buttoned up.
I do not like the new update! 3/5
The old version used to allow you to create and save notes on the customers activity list, which was very useful for our company. The new update does not allow this. Please bring this feature back with your next update.
App stopped working properly on company phones 2/5
Over the past several days app has not been working properly. No one can view invoices in the activity feed. Only payments and expenses are showing up. It looks like the developers updated the app to a new version a week ago. I think the update just created problems.
Do not sign up for free trial 2/5
My free trial just ended so I tried to purchase a subscription and had to call customer service because it would not let me “renew” from the website or the app with my current login information. So she walked me through the process on how to purchase a subscription only to tell me when I was done that all my information that I originally put in the app (receipts, mileage, etc) from my free trial would not transfer over and basically I would need to start from scratch… even though she had me use the same email and password. Now she is trying to delete my “new” account to see if we can extend my free trial on the “original” one to idk I guess purchase it from the “trial” account. Was on the phone for over 50 mins and the only thing she was able to do was delete my new account that we created together and refund my money. But she is still unsure if they can recover/extend my trial account and “will get back to me”

I used to love this app. The last couple of years the app crashes daily and multiple times. I’m in the middle of working and the app says critical updates are needed and logs me out. I’m extremely frustrated with this considering I pay over $20/month to use this software across all my devices. No resolution or contact from customer service. It happens almost weekly. What a nightmare.
If you’re a small business do not use them for payment processing. They have withheld multiple, very large, payments for review. We are fine with that except every time it has taken well over two weeks! No explanation or reaching out to us to discuss where they are in the process or for more information. It’s disgusting. I would rate lower

I’ve been trying to cancel my account for 4 months and it will not let me and they have no phone number to call so trust me when I say this is a bad purchase they keep taking 75 a month out of my bank account and I don’t even use it

Started my small landscape business and found this so easy to use. Invoices are fairly simple. Tracking mileage and the receipt snap are amazing. It helps me keep things organized all around. A very user friendly program.

Not working as promised 2/5
I had hoped this would be as easy as TurboTax. But that is certainly not the case. It is supposed to link with ShopKeep, our sales and inventory control software. It is not. QB shows costs of goods sold at negative $32 when it is actually over $100K in ShopKeep. I got QB so it would generate accurate financial statements. That is not the case. It seems that in order to sync inventory and COGS, I need to cough up another $100 a month. With our bank statement and Shopkeep, I could do all of this myself. Just for credibility I may get a bookkeeper. At least I could wring their neck when I get an idiotic report. Feeling like Julius Dithers right now!
Don’t Waste Your Time 1/5
For having a hold on the market, this app leaves a lot to be desired. The online version is way overpriced and there are many other options available for a fraction of the cost. Right now, I’m locked out of the app because it doesn’t recognize my email address (same one that I’ve always had and still works to sign in on desktop)

Poor customer service 1/5
Tried to migrate from desktop to online to be able to use the app, without success. Dealt with three agents, all acknowledged the issue, no one able to help and fix. Spent hours and finally gave up and asked for a refund for the online subscription. Intuit doesn’t have skilled support staff to fix a data upload issue.

I love this app. It’s great. Easy to use, intuitive (no pun intended). But heaven forbid you need to call and get help with an issue. I needed to update my number and it Literally took 2 months and 20 phone calls. I spoke with dozens of reps, all assured me that they had fixed the issue. It basically locked up 15k of revenue that I couldn’t access that whole time.

QuickBooks makes me so mad, it wants to “help you” by automatching all your bank transactions but it does it wrong and when you are trying to change it it doesn’t let you. It’s a stupid app. Don’t use it, find something better. I’m so done with QuickBooks.
Be careful what you pay for 2/5
While I enjoy using QuickBooks for Accounting.
For the last five years, the only thing I seem to get is higher fees. I’ve started at $30 a month and now I pay $50 a month. All ACH payments are charged 1% up to $10? (checks). I don’t except credit cards because I do not want to pay the fees. This is the only checking system that I use that charges fees for a check deposit. Yeah sure PayPal charges a 1% fee but that’s for an instant deposit. There is no instant deposit and I don’t want it because I don’t wanna pay the 1% fee
My Annual income accounting (checking) is never correct , I use them more as a reference when doing taxes. I still have a notification on my account from a year ago about a bounced check that I took care of, but I can’t delete the invoice that was had the bounced check. The program works OK but too many fees are attached with everything which is pretty disappointing, especially when you’re self-employed and have to pay higher taxes then most and provide your own healthcare.

Please go back to the way it was . My customers used to use the whole screen to sign for a payment now it’s teeny tiny .

The product is good. Customer service is awful. Hard to get on phone. Hard to get a timely resolution. Usually takes 3-4 phone calls and each customer service operator has no clue what happened on last call. Very frustrating product to like even though it has some great features.
Holds your money for over a week 1/5
QuickBooks holds your client payments for up to 10 days, if your clients pay you through QuickBooks. They also charge $10 per payment, for your client to pay you through QuickBooks. This is very disappointing and we were not told of this. We are not recommending our clients and accountants use QuickBooks any longer, and we are not using their payment services. I’d recommend using PayPal, Zelle, Venmo or any other payment service, instead of having your clients pay you directly through QuickBooks. It’s because of this that we decided that we may not continue using QuickBooks. What a terrible decision by QuickBooks to take advantage of small businesses during this time.

2021-08-13: I would like to see ALL transactions/register of specific card “on the app”, when I click the Account balance on the cards.
2020-10-11 : logos for different banks cardsIt will be great if you would be able to change the logos of each credit/debit card to match the image of the actual card. So you can easily differentiate which card is which- like like the Apple wallet. Or give the user an option to upload the background image of each card. And as always I gave 5* to this app. Thanks
2020-09-17: Feature 1 : Cash Flow feature put QBO ahead of ANY “ if there is any” competitors out there . But the expired events “of last thirty days or so” of CASH FLOW needs not to just disappear. Instead they should be retrievable and postponable for future date if the need comes and to reduce redundancy. Feature 2 : Income prediction- qbo learned the income I make in any given time/interval “weekly, monthly or other”. Let’s say qbo predicted I will receive a deposit of $3750 coming Friday. However The Wednesday before Friday I received a deposit of $900. In that case QBO should reduce the expected $3750 by 900. If qbo does not reduce my income by the amount received “in this case $900” , the cash flow projections after a week or a month will be OFF by the amount received. Let me know if I’m wrong on feature 2 please. And as always I gave 5* to this app. Thanks
2020-05-15 I have been using QB about last 17 years or so. Therefore I’m very familiar with QuickBooks. Please make the Memo Field of ALL transactions searchable when you are using this app and the reason I recommend this addition to this great app is as follows. Let us take an open invoice #913037289 as an example: When I get paid , I call that payment 913037289FS (FS at the end stand for Final Settlement). So when I search the invoice # , it will pull both the invoice and its payment. This works great for me. HOWEVER; If I get paid for a multiple invoices from same customer at same time (this happens a lot) , there is no a meaningful/helpful way to associate the open invoices to the check/direct deposit I just received. If this “Memo” field would be searchable I would list all my Invoices numbers in the Memo of the check I just received. I hope you got my point. Please make this field searchable. Thanks
Automatic Sales Tax has issues 1/5
Recently, it forced me to update from the manual sales tax center, to the automatic. It tries to calculate all of my customers tax based on their shipping address. However, if I have in store customers, I have to then go back and change settings. Also, it has created an automatic rate that it defaults to. I cannot make my manually created rate be the default. Also, once I run a transaction, I have to go back in and reselect the sales tax rate that I ran the transaction under, otherwise it shows up as 0 in QBO, but my merchant account has the correct amount.
Please give us back the ability to use manual sales tax center, or at least to remove the newly created automatic rates.

Stop nag advertising in a paid service 1/5
Nobody wants payroll, instant deposit, or any other intuit services that are CONSTANTLY advertised when I do something. Every time I create an invoice I have to click no to payroll ads, instant deposit ads, accountant ads, it’s irritating. The app is poorly designed as it is, you clearly dont use what you sell.

I had used Quickbooks at a previous job so, I was very familiar with it. My husband and I stared a home improvement business and, of course, I chose to use Quickbooks. I have tried EVERYTHING possible to gain a connection with our bank...nothing worked! I canceled our subscription. Extremely disappointed!

This app is still useless, inaccurate overdue invoices. There are people on my list of "overdue" that paid months ago. Do not trust this app. Would be very nice if it was right! Quickbooks online works great but this app stinks!

The large mandatory update changed the quickbooks desktop and mobile app. The search feature is messed up on both sites. We are looking for a way around Quickbooks moving forward.
Note: 2 iPads used to be able to put new customers and invoices in the mobile version and all devices were able to search but that feature is gone. So bad…… When my technician puts in a new customer and invoice I am not able to find that customer on my iPad in any form of search.
Our office is pulling their hair out, have been using QB for decades, not able to use the software as previously.
Quickbooks is going downhill.

This app runs an ad campaign on my religions website its ads constantly pop up and now the ad covers up some of the function buttons so i cant properly navigate the site. Im trying to learn about god . I wish this ad campaign was more respectful

QuickBooks was pushing their QuickBooks cash account, it’s a scam and has totally messed up my finances. It captures your money and ties it up in their system, requiring extra steps to get access to it.
They make it very difficult to cancel, haven’t figures out how to do that yet😡😡😡. I’m very close to cancelling QuickBooks altogether.
Easy for person new to bookkeeping 5/5
QuickBooks was so easy to learn. I was not trained as an accountant it just sort of fell on my shoulders. I am now able to do the bookkeeping and generate attractive invoices and bids quickly. This has helped our small business a great deal.

Been using quickbooks for as long as I can remember and now the online makes my life easy because I can access all my info from anywhere and I am no computer guy but I can do anything with this program.
It’s ok, but I wish I could send invoices via sms. That would really be great! I currently use another app for that, but it doesn’t give me the feature to have my clients pay instantly with card or bank transfer. If this app could offer that it would be unstoppable.
What kind of accounting software is this? It is trash.
Lacking in basic accounting features. Inconsistent and confusing interface. Out of harmony with the browser based front end. Dfficult to believe that intuit would release a product this bad.

By far the absolute worst customer service. My account was deactivated and can’t call anyone to get help. They want you to login but you can’t login if you’ve been deactivated. Extremely frustrating! Terrible support
