Faulty Promotion Code 2/5
This is not the first time this has happened. I received a promotion code for rent a DVD or Blue Ray disc and get one free. However, the system still charged me for the second DVD.
I was using your previous app that worked wonderfully. I STUPIDLY updated the new one and to my surprise, cannot use the on demand features reads how to watch click on it and reads device not supported??????????????! I have a iPhone 10 it all worked before the update.....

Redbox has really come a ways with their app. I remember not too long ago it was terribly cumbersome to use. That was the past. This newer app is very easy to use syncs well with your account. It is current and responsive. Occasionally there are still hiccups which keep it from 5-star. Sometimes objects in cart get taken out or movies in my wish list disappear. Then later they will reappear. However, majority of time the app works super.

When you go to the description it says that it has more languages but when u rent the movie online it only has the subtitles in English, im upset because i feel like wasting my money, the reason i rented the movies from here is because it said it had Spanish subtitles and my parents only speak Spanish

My points magically disappeared, I was told it expired when someone from their Social Media Engagement Team reached out to lie that my points were already returned.
That was in December 2019, fast forward to April 4 2020, still waiting on those points to magically appear. Bunch of liars and thieves, just when I was about to redeem my points, it expires, how convenient.

We are able to redeem our Groupon coupon from home computer but not on mobile. We had used coupon and went to pick up movie but it was not working at circle k in Catalina. Messed us up.
STREAMING DIFFICULTIES 1/5
Help! We do not have a red box conveniently located to our home so I was pretty excited to find and download the app. PROBLEM: It says you can stream however when I found a movie, it says “not supported on this device”!?
I CAN stream Prime, Netflix, you name it! Why can’t I stream Redbox???

I earned two free promo codes and after setting up account I entered the codes and got nothing. If I cannot trust you guys to give me free movies that I earned then why would I spend any money renting movies from you? I’ll just stick with vudu, at least I can trust that I’ll receive what I pay for.

As is so often the case with local (Central PA) Cinema, REDBOX has, somehow, decided that movie viewers in my area are simpletons. There are slightly more avante garde titles that are just not available and it’s pretty annoying & frustrating.

I would love to see Redbox expand on the filters though. A by cost and by number of rental nights would be helpful. Especially during this time of quarantine an expansion on multi-night rental would be great. How about one week? Finally, it seems that when one applies filters they override viewing availability by location. Can this be fixed?

I don’t know what kind of issues you all may be experiencing but I am consistently, over the last month or two, coming across Trailers that won’t play or I get all the background sounds & no voices. I have shut it down, cleared it out & started over. I have uninstalled & reinstalled & yet these problems persist. Please fix this before I have to find a new place to get my movies....

I loved renting from redbox but I will never rent from redbox ever again. They charged me for a movie that I returned. Then told me they can’t help me. It was not my fault that their box was malfunctioning. I had dates and times when the movie was returned. The customer service was rude and I was nothing but nice to them. Never again. I will not support a company that will not work with customers. Especially because this was not my fault it was Redbox’s fault.

I use the Redbox app multiple times a week. I love that I can see what movies are at my local box, reserve online, pay online, etc.
My biggest pet peeve with the app is they broke the ability to sort the new releases and upcoming releases by release date. The movies seem to be sorted by how Redbox wants to push their movies. For instance Jumanji 2 is at the to of the new releases lost even tho it was released over 2 weeks ago. And other just released movies are near the bottom of the list.
Now I have to use a 3rd party website to see what the new movies of the week are.
Feature request: since all payment and reservations can be done on a mo Ike device. Provide the ability to pick up movies at the box using your phone. No need to insert a credit card into the machine.

Why does the rental start as soon as u reserve? It should start once the video is actually picked up from the kiosk!!! Ridiculous business practice. I’m paying for something already that I don’t even have in my hands.

When I try to use my points it adds a rental cost of 1.85 instead of taking it away.
Called customer service and they remedied they situation.

Love that you can earn points & free rentals. In addition, love that you can reserve movies at the different kiosks so you’re guaranteed to be able to watch your desired selection for the night.

Cannot redeem points to stream a movie online. Can only use at a Redbox pick up location which right now is not ideal. No FAQ section for points redemption. It’s like y’all don’t even care.
