  • Mr. M Eustis 4/5

    By Useless29
Good app, but Redfin area of coverage is very limited, it’s not a national app, hardly any western coverage, very disappointed.
  • Monitoring the real estate market 5/5

    By robin dawn
I throughly enjoy monitoring the RE market both in my neighborhood as well as desired ‘hoods’. It helps me decide when, and if, I should put my home on the market. It also allows me to ‘peek into’ home designs. I love Redfin
  • I go to Redfin 5/5

    By DiceeX
I like how u can see a map and which way a home faces, plus the property details tab, and of course the pics and home history.
  • Can any app remove spec houses?? 3/5

    By REJane1
I have all of the real estate apps, including this one. Redfin gets extra points for allowing you to filter build by year, so I can exclude most of those terrible Autocad drawing homes in theory, but homes listed as “to be built” are still showing up. This can’t be that hard, web/app developers!!! 3 stars for being a good app. Get rid of the spec/autocad/non-existent future builds or build in progress homes and I will happily award 2 stars back- that’s how annoying it is...
  • Great App 5/5

    By Dredeep69
This is such a great way to look at homes. With our limited time and busy schedules my wife and I can share favorites and talk about what we like. It’s helping us narrow down our new home. An agent already reached out to us, so kudos to Redfin for making house shopping easier!
  • Decent App, No Portrait Mode 3/5

    By dan51678
Overall this app is pretty good - really wish there was a portrait mode instead of the forced landscape mode.
  • Duffer 2/5

    By nickname1997!
Added my house. Shows it in the wrong location and I can’t change it. I changed it in one place but another place still shows it wrong. I have a 360 sq ft shop that I can’t include. Very cumbersome navigating.
  • Good app 4/5

    By CloakOfMuadDib
Wish I could filter by exterior material as well
  • Found my house on Redfin. 5/5

    By Pasadena Yeah
Found my home the day it was listed. We made an offer the very next week and closed a month later.
  • UI not responsible when Schedule Tour loading 2/5

    By Faiz_o4
When you select a listing, the UI freezes until the schedule tour is fetched. Please fix this, its really annoying
  • Commute feature 1/5

    By Princesst304
They advertised being able to see how much of a commute I would have with each home so I signed up. After I make account that feature is no where to be found. Poor
  • Better than Zillow 5/5

    By BClemmons
When we purchased our home Zillow’s estimate was thousands of dollars off from the appraisal. Redfin on the other hand nailed it to the dollar! I now use Redfin to track my home value over time. Thanks!!
  • Manufactured Home Search 4/5

    By Mtn Gal
I would like to purchase a home on its own land. Unfortunately I don’t have very much money so it would probably be a manufactured home on land. I have not found any real estate website or app that will accommodate what I need in their search filters. Redfin is very good about putting the space rent on their website as compared to other real estate apps I have used. It’s extremely frustrating when you cannot find the space rent amount on the home; It’s very misleading, if not deceptive on the sellers part to purposely leave out that information about the HOA fees or space rent amount fees. I wish there was a filter for space rent and the real estate apps would absolutely put that in there for every single home. I would also like a separate filter for homes on their own land or any other such filters that would make my search easier for me. It’s extremely hard to filter out mobile homes that are in parks that pay more than $500 per month, compared to a mobile-home that’s on its own land where there are no monthly fees. When all the proper information is not put in, in the first place, it causes me a lot more search time to try and find out if that property has HOA fees or space rent fees.… Extremely frustrating! If they could please put in a filter for homes that are on their own land or even include the parks where you own your own land = ROC Parks, where their HOA fees are minimal, would be a great help. It would make my search for what I want much easier. I’m a disabled senior and I certainly cannot afford $500 + every single month in addition to the cost of the home. Redfin be the great leader and start making those filter changes now so more people will be willing to use your app, as compared to your competitors! Also I would like to add, I wish you would add a few more features. One is a map that is color-coded for crime, that is extremely important for me. The other feature that I like that you have is the “Xout” feature, but it’s hard for me to notice. I have to remember to look to see if the X is dark. You have a “red heart” on the front of each listings, ... maybe you could put a red X or blue X on the front listing page also, next to the heart or replace the heart or put an X over the heart. That way I don’t have to open up each listing and remember to look for the black X. Mostly it’s because I can’t find the amount of the space rent that it takes so much time to find out what the space rent is, if there is any. But I am extremely grateful to Redfin for being the only one I can find that is very diligent in posting the Mobile home park space rent amount or HOA fees for the properties, so I appreciate that very much! But I would be even more grateful if you would make a few more upgrades on your app. Another very helpful one would be a filter for “land lease amount“, I believe that’s what you call the space rent at the mobile home parks. You have a filter for HOA fees but not for the space rent at the mobile home parks. That would be greatly appreciated if we can filter out those mobile home parks that have the high space rents. Also since I’m looking for a mobile home on its own land and on a permanent foundation, the information about a permanent foundation and if it’s on it’s own land is extremely important if you can filter that somehow, that would be greatly appreciated, or at least post the information needed about the foundation for each manufactured\mobile home. Thank you!
  • Great app. 5/5

    By noonan50
Easy to search and not informative than other real estate apps.
  • Great real estate tool 5/5

    By 239palamino
Redfin is a great little tool to keep tabs on local real estate pricing. It shows me clearly what houses have sold recently, what houses are on the market and the pricing history of those homes. Very useful app.
  • Stop asking if I like the app 1/5

    By Paul!!99
Looks like I have two options. Delete the app, or write a review. Well here’s the review you had to have!!!
  • Great for the most part. 3/5

    By Deediddly
I love this app, out of the three main real estate apps that I have, this one has the most up to date info. We recently put our house up for sale and Redfin updated almost the exact second that we changed from for sale to pending, closely followed by Zillow and realtor.com dragging its heels 4 hours later! This app would be 5 stars if all of the features worked properly. I’ve been trying to add a commute to properties we’re looking at and I am unable to get further than entering an address as the button I need to click to calculate commute times is hidden by the keyboard feature which does not collapse. Otherwise I find this app to be very user friendly.
  • New User 4/5

    By OnFire_JefWen
So far from what I have experienced, I'm impressed.
  • App modifications 3/5

    By Dissatisfief
I have changed the filters for notifications more than once because I was getting so many emails; however, it does not get updated in the app. I have deleted and reloaded the app with new filters and it still sends notifications based on the original filters. Soooo annoying
  • Stuck in landscape mode! 3/5

    By Just Your Usual Reviewer
The functionality of the app is pretty good, it works more smoothly and consistently than the web site which frequently fails to load maps or other features. The problem is the app is locked into landscape mode forever! You’re going to spend hours with this app and having to hold your iPad sideways to a couple of hours gets pretty uncomfortable. For the first time in several years as a heavy iPad user, I felt physical pain from being forced into a sideways grip. If you can get over that or you already customarily use your tablet in this way, with a kickstand or keyboard stand for example, you’ll adore how well the app works. I’d gladly give this thing five stars if it didn’t cause me physical pain to use. Just don’t zoom in too much or the app will for some unknown reason deluge you with already sold homes instead of homes for sale!
  • The Best !!!!! 5/5

    By MS EYM
I love this site. Very Informative
  • Good start; needs more options/features 4/5

    By Kelia79
I get pop-up notifications on new & changed properties, but there needs to be a way to simply go to a list of property notifications, and view them in categories (e.g., all multi-families, all in a certain zip). There should be more robust features, such as ways to better categorize and view lists of properties I “like” (such as by area, price, property type, rating). It would help to be able to rate them in some way, so I can focus on those I like most, vs. seeing every single “liked” property in a massive list.
  • 12+ hours to post photos? 1/5

    By EvanstonBaptist
Very surprised by Redfin’s tech troubles today. The other mobile search tools (Realtor.com, Zillow, etc.) posted photos of my new listing at 1942 Orrington Avenue within 12 minutes of when I activated it in our MLS. It’s now been 12 hours and there are no photos on Redfin. #realestate #redfin #fail #tech #realtor
  • Awesome App (Needs North-South Indicators) 4/5

    By Prashant420
I love this app. The fact that I can search homes by schools is awesome. However, I always wanted to know the direction the homes are facing. I struggled to find that. If you add a compass feature indicating east/west/north/south that will be fantastic.
  • Least clitchy superior U.I. 4/5

    By Frumunda-maballs
Works the best out of the one I’ve tried. Hopefully someone from Redfin sees this. I want a global warming feature. A button to turn on that shows 50-100 year predicted sea level rise and where the new coastlines will be. Or at least a feature that allows me to filter for property elevation. So I can sort not only by bedroom numbers and square footage but also by elevation.
  • Needs work 2/5

    By Kristytxs
Constantly crashes it is so frustrating!
  • Bug and Missing feature 3/5

    By iPhone Game Lover
The most annoying thing about this app is I get all these notifications and when I click it it doesn’t go to the house. It only does it when app has restarted, subsequent notice just won’t respond. The other issue is the lack of filter for single story home, which weird enough is available on their website. So my saved search on the website is totally useless in this app.
  • Redfin review 4/5

    By Krisna Rav
Redfin listings are good. They need to include estimate of Home in all their listing. Rent estimate will also be helpful. Zillow has it for almost all their losing. Including crime data will be useful as well as been done in trulia
  • Photo is worth a thousand words 1/5

    By Missydylan
Why put a house on the market if there are no photos or there is just one photo of the outside...??? especially not good for individuals wanting to relocate and the first step to viewing homes interested in and it is not up to today’s technological abilities and be proactive with diverse actions of showing more photos... why should someone have to spell it out? Thanks but no thanks....
  • Waste Of Time 1/5

    By CurtisJInfla
Works when I searched for SFH’s but when I tried to look for condos in downtown Miami, it kept freezing up and closing the app. Never got it to work. Not sure if it’s because of the number of available properties in such a condensed area. Don’t really care. It’s just a waste of time. Deleting this overrated app.
  • Disappointing glitches 2/5

    By BG828
Was one of my fave apps until the glitches started locking me out, causing me to reset my password and then not accepting my password as changed. Off to Trulia I go.

  • Weak iPhone app/poor customer support 1/5

    By weaksupport
The app is giving me listings in areas (a different state) that I am not interested in. Redfin has not responded to two requests for support in the past three weeks.
  • I need a reset button 3/5

    By NCErinT
Redfin is my go to house hunting app... & I’ve been following the market for several (like 4) years now. I do not use the desktop version , so I cannot rate that portion. Overall, this app is great. That being said, I am beyond frustrated with the “🔔 New Homes” tab (bottom, middle). Usually, this is a great feature that lists newly listed houses that Redfin believes you will be interested in. One of the reasons I used to like it was that it used to be a shortcut to finding back “that newly listed house” I was talking about so I could show it to them. However, my algorithm has somehow gotten off and it has started to show me homes far outside my price range & occasionally out of my area. There is no way that I can determine to fix &/or reset this. I can’t delete the house from the “New Homes” list nor does “x”ing the house out remove it from the list. It’s not like these houses are showing up in my actual searches, so why bother “x”ing them out? This has basically made the entire feature useless. I would love to reset it and have my “new home” tab back...

    By threeclaws
Beyond the normal glitches for the last 6mos or so the app just freezes up. I’ve uninstalled, restarted, reinstalled and then restarted with no change. I’ve restored my iPad and done a clean install. This is on an air 2. At this point the issue is not on my end, Redfin needs to sort this out.

On other websites/apps I don’t feel like I get the latest info. On Redfin it seems like I’m always informed.
  • Love the notifications based on your filters 5/5

    By ToriLovesSoftware
This app really helped me find our dream home. It helped us understand the local market. I love how you can pull a report on what houses were listed for vs what they actually sold for with days on the market. Zillow does not offer this capability. It helped us understand how to negotiate our offer to purchase a home by including enough time to sell our current home. I also love the updates on how our home is appreciating. They only throng they could do better is the estimates on current value. I feel like this is too conservative because I have seen the Redfin value of 2.0m and then the home is listed for 2.6m and sells within a week all cash offer. I have seen a few of these examples.
