Lovely distraction 4/5

Solid Sounds 5/5
By M. Rainy
Really enjoy listening to my personally designed Dark & Stormy Night sound mix while I'm writing and trying to zone out the environmental noise around me. It really keeps me focused. Highly recommended!
Really aweful 2/5
On Mac OSX 10. Had to click the icons about 4 times to get them to work then 4 times again to get them to stop. The rain which is usually what I go for to help me sleep sounded like a water holes hitting pavement, pretty bad.
Very handy in an open worksspace. 5/5
By j horinon
This is my goto audio source when I need to put on headphones to block out nearby conversations.
Great as a noise generator for sleeping as well.
Would recommend it to anyone 5/5
This app is awesome. I love how many sounds are free. I love the humming sound, the seaside sound, the different water sounds, the bird sound, the underwater sounds, and the medival sounds. If you need something for relexation, this is must have.
I like the idea 3/5
I like the idea of this application. When I created my own atmospheres I was able to really slow down and focus. Sadly, I went to use it today and had to restore my purchase and all of my creations were gone. The fact that the purpose of this is to help relax, loosing my creations did the exact opposite.

Great App! 5/5

I love combining sounds in this app! It calms me and really helps set the mood when writing certain genres of stories. All in all, 5/5 stars!
Still a terrible interface, and now uses 100% CPU! 1/5
By Dan J Z
Not sure why they're keeping the current interface. It's absolutely terrible. Really, I just have to shake my head, what are they thinking? Do they even use the app themselves?
And somehow the app is now taking a full CPU core, which I only realized after my laptop felt hot on my lap, and I checked the Activity Monitor. They're running something on localhost, who knows why.
great relaxing sounds
The best for concentrating! 5/5
By Anita AB
one of the few apps that help me concentrate while reading or studying. love this app (:
Major update wrecked it 1/5
Slow to load, and scrolling through the sounds is clunky at best, and often impossible at worst; just doesn't work. Very frustrating interface.
5 kids 5/5
By Amanda Flood
Love that it's free. I have 5 kids. I am in grad school. I put my headphones on and choose a combination of sounds to stiffle the back ground noise of my child dominated home. Helps me focus more on my home work. Nuff said.
Life Safer 5/5
Perfect for studying! I also use it for when I'm extremely irritable and about to freak out. It helps me take deep breaths.
Great free app for helping with tinitus 5/5
I have tinitus that has become constant and this app really helps deal with it.
Great Selection of Sounds 5/5
By C.B. & the 40 Winks
The binaural sounds with the headphones are a first time experience for me. I'm determined to improve my own ability to fall asleep. After a 10 minute session using the "Pre-Sleep" selection I find myself more relaxed and ready to sleep without the anxiety that I will not sleep tonight.
Does what I need 5/5
By Mr Wilkins
I use it for white noise some mornings to drown out the sounds around me and it works great. I saved some favorites (combined "melodies") so I can just click on one of the favorites and start. Easy.
never worked 1/5
Tried downloading twice and neither worked, just saw the opening Relax Melodies screen and that’s it.

Awesome for studying 4/5
I love to use it to drown out my roomates when I am working on homework.
This app is great! I use the 20 hz focus brainwave sound mixed with other nature sounds nearly every time I need to write or just get in the zone. There are endless combinations of sounds that can help enhance your mood or block out other distractions. Highly recommend!
By $ydney $pencer
The sounds aren't obnox like a lot of others, so me likey
Free version infested with bugs. Often doesn't work. 1/5
I don't know what the pay version is like but the free version is buggy. I have it downloaded on my iMac and when it launches, I get the main screen but nothing else. I have to close/reopen it multiple times until I can get it to the point were I can pick my sounds and start listening. I was going to buy the pay version but now, I'm not sure if it's buggy as well.
Solid Option 4/5
Great app for setting atmosphere. I pair a collection of the sounds with my oil diffuser and it knocks me out quickly. Hoping to see more soothing sounds added long term, but definitely a solid option
Making meditation easier 5/5
By Grandpa Fos
As someone new to meditation I find the prerecorded sounds and the ability to mix them to my preferences is great. The brinwave sounds really help with meditation.
Timer dosen't work. 3/5
When time is up, the melody dosen't stop.
My Go 2 5/5
I'm an artist and filmmaker, and in this industry your brain and your emotions are your greatest tools, so when the day is over and you need to shut your brain down, sometimes it doesn't go down easy due to the day having some emotional and or brain heavy creative work. Thats why when I came across Relax Melodies, I was so so thankful. I just needed something that could take my brain and remove it from my work and daily thoughts, and put it into a place where I could just rest and actually let my brain drift to sleep. I hardly go a night without it now. Its amazing.
I’ve used Relax Melodies for years and until this last update i loved it, i used it every night to help me sleep. Once i updated it i couldnt use it because it got stuck on the loading screen and never did anything else. I have the premium version on my kindle fire and it works flawlessly and i’ve resorted to using that instead of the one on my mac but this is frustrating, please test things on multiple devices both old er and new before you push new updates or your going to end up with a lot of crappy reviews.
Best ever 5/5

It is an awsome relaxation program. I give it 5 stars!!!
Sound Therapy Reimagined 5/5
By Reasonable Individual
-You have heard of therapy through meditation, touch, animals, coloring, smell, accupuncture, heat, cold, and electrical stimulation, but you probably don’t think twice about the idea of sound therapy. At least I didn’t, until I came across Relax Melodies, which clearly has a lot of science-based research behind it and a dedicated staff to continuously refine the effective use of sound therapy. While there is an entertainment factor to this app in being able to select from a large library of sounds, its main utility lies in its ability to truly help reduce stress within just 2 minutes of listening and help prime you for sleep within 5-10 minutes.
-What I truly appreciate about this app is the attention to detail in how the staff curates the available sounds. Most other sound relaxation apps I have tried have a smaller library of sounds which are often times more distracting (sleep-inhibiting) versus relaxing (sleep-inducing).
-Bottom line: If you have trouble winding down at night for bedtime, give this app a whirl and I bet you will find a sound or melody that will help empty your mind of the day’s worries and make your mind more receptive to enter into a state of slumber. (I really like “Piano” and “Zen”).
-One final note: The Customer Service behind this app is outstanding. I messed up my subscription selection and they walked me through how to fix it for the better. There were also extremely responsive to my emails.
Relaxing Melodies 5/5
I have been searching nad collecting songs to play while writing in noisy environments when my yoga teacher began using this app. Now i “won’t leave home without it."
Would be even better w/work-friendly white noise settings 4/5
By improving app for work use
I like this app a lot. It’s free and has good white noise tracks and it’s great to be able to combine several at once. It would be even better for if it could be used not only for relaxation - which it is very good for - but also for more productivity / creativity uses of white noise, to support doing writing and other creative activities or work tasks in noisy environments. Specifically, background coffee shop tracks and other more social noises would be good. The tracks available here do their work of making me sleepy, but sometimes I want white noise that helps me focus, and that means more human social background noise sounds.
New version 4/5
I prefer the older version but this is good. I would have given it 5 stars but all the constent adds to upgrade need to go if you’ve refused it once - this is most annoying.
I do like the options for puttimg sounds together and having an extra option or two that weren’t on the original
Mac version needs work 3/5
By Siva Del Fuego
I first acquired this app on my iPhone, and there it is a magical, above-and-beyond masterpiece of a program. It’s beautiful, it works flawlessly, and I crave what it does. On the Mac, I still get the sounds that help me do deep work at the office, and which calm me and relieve anxiety when at home - which is very good. But the interface is clunky and it has issues, like that it always seems to have a red dot alert on its icon, as though there’s some message I need to read. But where is it? Heck if I know. It’s ugly (looks like an older iPad app) and doesn’t respond to swiping left or right with my track pad (I have to click the arrows). The fonts chosen, and the buttons are all dated. In the free version, the ads pop-up upside down. I hope the team behind this app can muster the resources to brush it up. I bought the pro version for my iPhone. I’m holding out for some signs of progress for this Mac version, however. But let me tell you, these sounds… they are wonderful and so helpful for setting a comforting mood. You can close the window and just let the sounds play, you can’t do better.
This is a NEED for anyone STUDYING or trying to FOCUS 5/5
This is my Go-To when I’m having trouble focusing when I’m working on a programming puzzle or trying to absorb information for an exam. It helps to drown out outside noise, and with the “binaural” sounds for Concentration (must use headphones), I’ve gotten successfully through many study challenges this year. Thank you, programmers for this app (I have it on my iPhone as well as my Mac laptop).

I wasnt expecting much but was blown away by all the free melodies and the fact that you can combine tunes is even better…what a great way to start meditating in the morning!
By Allen Girl 2013
As a grad student, reading through hours and hours of reseach and writing, this app provides the background sounds (Flute and Rain are favs) I need to maintain focus!! And its free!!! Love it, thanks!
Wow this App is amazing!! 5/5
By Rosa Ahmed
I totally recommend downloading this app, it definitely helps me whenever I’m trying to block out other noises and puts me in a calm, relaxed state!!!
Amazing in every way! 5/5
This app is outstanding! The interface is easy, simple, and fun to use making customizing you perfect sound a breeze. A big thanks to everyone Ipnos software!
Best app I never knew I needed! 5/5
By IN User
I love that you can make your favorite mix by layering different sounds at different volumes. Give me a rain shower with frogs and a purring cat, and I’m in my happy place. It’s true that the interface of the app has some weird upside-down issues, but that doesn’t cause a problem. Now I’m off to download the app for my phone. That’s how much I like it.
I use this app for myself when I have trouble sleeping… I’ve used it for years. I have started using it with my dog who is afriad of thunder storms. Whenever it would rain hard or thunder she would do a none stop barking. I have surround sound speakers hooked to my computer and I play a combination of thunder, rain, wind and other outdoor nature sounds at night. It has really helped her get use to the sound of thunder. It works wonders for her.
Great for sleep or study 5/5
I use the phone app for falling asleep and I have the computer app running in the background when I am writing papers and stressed out. As someone who can’t concentrate with music but also hates silence, this is a really useful tool! Some of the sounds are things I would never use (lookin' at you “Butterfly” and “Medieval”) but I’m sure someone out there loves those.
