I have been using the old app for several years. I loved the simplicity and functionality. As others have mentioned, this new app is more complicated, but whatever, I dealt with it’s I had several years of data. However, with this last upgrade, I LOST IT ALL. I am sure I will get the automated message from customer that every review appears to get, positive or negative, but I have no hope of recovery. I will be looking for a better app to synch my scale to.

The scale will not connect to my phone or to the app! It doesn’t show up in my Bluetooth list. I have done all the troubleshooting tips and still nothing. Was so excited to use… beyonddd disappointed!! Will be returning and trying a different brand

Renphro Health App does NOT show all stats. Only weight and BMI appear. I’ve tried follow their troubleshooting guidelines and it doesn’t work.

Tried to manually enter a prior weight so the app would calculate/show my total weight loss so far, but it doesn’t recognize manually entered data when making the calculations. Frustrating because I’ve lost nearly 15 pounds but the app only calculates 4 pounds lost. Hopefully they fix this bug.

For me, the app stays in the splash screen preview and that’s it. I have the newest iPhone model, so this cannot be the problem. Gonna send the body fat scale right back to Amazon and also leave a review there. Because as I saw from the other reviews, you are not even getting a proper feedback from their team.

After seeing all the negative reviews here I went to download the older version but it says it will be retired soon and sends you back here. So far I think the app is great assuming it’s accurate. It measures so many things and I just hope they are all correct. If it is accurate I’m super healthy and my metabolic age is much younger than my real age so I hope it is. Unfortunately there’s no real way to test it other than getting a professional assessment. The only negative thing I have to say is that if you move the scale and recalibrate it, it reverts back to Kg which is really annoying.

In the old app, I opened it and weighed myself in the morning. Simple.
In the new app, I have to open it and then click twice to weigh myself in the morning.
Why are you adding friction?
All other companies and apps are reducing clicks and reducing friction

Terrible vs. original Rephno app 1/5

Rephno had a wonderful weight tracking app. It was seamless and easy to use. Loved it. Now they are looking to push everyone into Rephno Health which overly complicated the simple use case …weight tracking. I don’t want a social network for my weight …just a simple tracker. Please don’t force it on us.

I ended up deleting this app because it wasn’t as straight forward and easy to use as the old app. Way too confusing and complicated. I like being able to view trends on the old app, which this one didn’t have—or at least I couldn’t access it. I hope the old app stays viable. I bought the Renpho scale and tape measure which both sync beautifully with the old app. Sometimes new and improved isn’t better—as in this case.

With the old app my weight would sync right away now with the new app I may have to try weigh myself at least 10 times before it’ll enter the data. It’s stinks it’s at very aggravating/frustrating. Been a user 8 years at least.

This app is a downgrade over the previous version, it log me out of my account constantly, and it doesn’t pick my reading right away.
If the old app get deleted, I’m going to sell my scale and look for a different company.

I really dislike this app. The app never connects to scale automatically to record your weight. When I record my weight, I open the old app. I actually really like the old. It was user friendly, very easy to use and accurate. This new app is just taking up space on my iPhone.

One idea that I believe would make it fun between families/friends is a challenge system mainly revolving around the weight scale. Wether it be for a month, week, year or so custom, it’ll be a fun addition to add.

There are plenty of apps that by scanning the barcode get all the nutritional info. That would be very helpful and will save a lot of time. So far, it is very slow adding the food one by one.

The scale always syncs as long as I have the proper view showing in the app, and it always shows up in Apple Health for me. I was a little worried when I saw the reviews here but I haven’t had any issues in the 2 months I’ve been using it daily. The only feedback I’d give is that I wish it was more simple to erase duplicate data from the calendar, that’s a bit tricky to find.

Yes, they did update the app and it’s a little bit different from the previous version, but it works just fine. Some people say it does not connect to other apps, but that has not been an issue for me. I weigh myself in the morning, and then I open Apple health, and it not only has my weight, and the time which I stepped on the scale, but it also has a slightly higher degree of accuracy. The Renpho app says my weight was 187 pounds, the Apple Health app displays it as 186.95 pounds. When I open Fitness Pal, it also shows my updated weight.
I’m not all that strong on tech and making apps talk to each other, but mine connects with other apps seamlessly. Definitely getting the five star review because it does what it is supposed to do.

I have used the original app for 2+ years…now we have to use this “new & improved” app? Omg. After 3 days I FINALLY got it to connect….it said it would transfer all previous data…it did not. It said it would be better, easier to use. It is NOT. ITS A HUGE PAIN. I’m very sorry Renpho decided to do this the other app was surprisingly easy to use…which is why I used it for so long. Please get those folks back to fix this if it is a MUST that we use it….if not please allow the old app to continue to update.

I bought a product, and went to use this app. It is atrocious! I can’t even get past the set up screen, as the information fields for height, weight, and everything else on the same screen, or not accessible to those using voiceover or talkback on android. This is absolutely ridiculous. for a new app, it was not well thought out. The old app is just as horrible.

I really don’t like this app. I like the old one better. It doesn’t recognize I step on the scale. I have to click on the weight before I get on the scale. Before you just got on and it knew. It no longer updates my Noom app. No longer updates my Fitbit app. I hate it.

This is basic functionality that is missing. Any health app should sync with Apple health and this one does not. Because of this the app and devices are pretty useless. Way better products to use that do have this ability. I would not have purchased if I had known this. They could easily add it and chose not to. Waste of money.

This new “Health” app doesn’t perform the basic, necessary functions of recording weight & stats or syncing data to or from other apps… INCLUDING THE OLD RENPHO APP. Just recording your weigh-in from the Renpho scale with this app requires extra steps with instructions that are written in technical terms, not everyday user language. This new app is trying to be something more like a full fledged health app in a market already saturated. (Including a new cringeworthy “social” feature.) It fails as a health app and fails at the basic functions the original app was designed for.
Also notable, I could not find any method to import my year++ worth of data into the new app. I contacted support about it. A few days later I received a response email that I could not understand because the unfortunate support rep did not have a firm grasp—or even a loose grip—on the English language. (That’s Renpho’s problem, not the rep’s.) From what I was able to suss out from his response, there is no fix for the problem. He just cut & pasted the same unclear instructions from the app into his response and wrapped it in a string of English words that don’t add up to a sentence.
I will delete this app and stick with the old one as long as I can. If Renpho phases out the old app or support for it, I will purchase a different brand scale—probably a bigger name brand—with an app that works well, syncs well across devices & other popular apps, and is more user friendly—and dump everything Renpho altogether. This new app already has me eyeing other brands already.

You used to be able to open the app and weight yourself and the data would sync and you’d be on your way. Now it’s open the app and weigh yourself then go to a different screen and manually chose the data to add to your account. I’m so frustrated that I’m going to buy a new scale from a different brand that is easier and quicker to use.

The Renpho app oddly prompted me to log-in, so I did and all my progress from January has been erased. What is the purpose of creating an account if none of my data is saved in the database?

This new app bricked my months-old scale.
The app is horribly designed, is forcing me to use an internet connection (I bought a Bluetooth scale for a reason! I don’t want my internet connection to be on in the morning!), and when I do try to set it up for internet, thinking maybe I can use Bluetooth afterwards, the app sends me to settings, that don’t allow me to enter my internet or password.
The previous app worked well. Along with many other reviewers, I suggest a reversion to your previous app.
Now, what to do with this useless brick of a scale?

Please stop making changes that aren’t necessary. The original Renpho app with the scale works great. I don’t want to use the new app and I keep getting a reminder to go to it. I don’t want the new app. Improve the original app, add to that . Having two different apps is confusing, annoying, and it’s over kill. Otherwise I love my scale and it has been monumental in my weight loss journey.

2/16/23 updating to 4 stars as trends are now available. However there are issues with it. Eg bone mass is same with a change of 0 yet the trend is decreasing. Would also love the ability to swipe left and right for the previous and next readings
