    Half the remote control screen has been cut off the app since the last update, on my ipad, and the button to route sound through the ipad is completely missing from the app. This is a complete disgrace.

    This app is the worst!! If I could give a -star I would. ITT will connect the first day and then disconnect everyday and will not re connect! No matter what you do the app won’t connect to your tv. Filled the trouble shooting and guess what…still won’t connect.

    I have a Roku TV. I mainly use the app to adjust volume and to power off when I move to the kitchen in the morning and forget to turn the TV off. I loved this app until the recent update. It didn’t work at all after the update. It appears to have undergone a “fix” yesterday but it is still not fully functional.

    TLDR: literally will only connect about 1 out of every 20 tries. Essentially useless. The remote won’t ever connect while any app is running (YouTube, hbo max, etc). What the heck is wrong with this thing? The idea of it - to connect to multiple Roku devices and TVs - great idea. But it never connects! When you are running the roku on any screen except the roku menus, it refuses to connect the remote. Mostly I want this app so I can turn off the TVs when the kids have wandered off, or when mom falls asleep. Or to adjust that annoying YouTube volume when the kids are watching the horrible content that they do This app is useless for those situations. So sad. Great idea that just never really works. Please fix- I actually NEED this to function. 8-27-2021 Version Update 10-13-2021 It’s even worse now. Nothing I do can get it to connect. It SEES my devices but times out trying to actually connect. Is there anyone at Roku actually working on this? Or that knows how to actually CODE? Look at all the horrible recent reviews. I lowered my review to one star from two. Way to go, team.

    This app worked until it updated to 8.00 last night. Now the app is completely unusable. I even tried reinstalling the app, but that didn’t change anything. Roku’s website offers no option to contact them for support about the app. This is very disappointing. Hard fail. I may change my rating if they fix the app. EDIT: I figured out that the app will work if I launch the app from the iPad in portrait mode. This allows me to use the private listening feature again, which is the only reason I have the app. I’m upgrading my review from 1 star to 2. The app is still not very good.

    Smh, the Roku becomes unrecognizable by WiFi multiple times a day and you have to “forget it” then wait for it to eventually become recognized as a “new device” so you can reconnect and stream audio and control the Roku over the iPhone 12 Pro Max, running iOS 14.7 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️ (the constant loss of connection has nothing to do with the iOS not being iOS 15, this has been a problem since I was using Roku on the iPhone 10 Xs Max)

    I used to love this app but after the last update, the keyboard would always come up first when I try to use it as a remote. It’s very annoying. I don’t need to type anything as soon as I turn on the TV.

    I already had issues with this app working before the newest update. It would vacillate between being “connected” and disconnecting at whim, but now that it’s updated, the app, on two separate phones, will not move past the “check it out” screen explaining what is new about it. I cannot use it at all.

    Remote disconnects repeatedly, like ever 20 seconds. It’s effectively unusable. Don’t bother downloading, a waste of space on your phone/tablet.

    Hi there! I love this app and use it as the main remote for my Roku, but I noticed a lot of performance issues after the last update to the app. The remote is painstakingly slow, and the “recent channels” tab no longer works that well. If you could look into this and maybe patch it, I’d love to give the app a full 5 stars. Thank you for such an awesome streaming platform to begin with!

    This is clearly the most commonly used app for using a phone as a remote for use with Roku. Then why is everyone having the same problem with intermittent disconnectivity? Not a few, everyone. I’ll keep using it because it is a great app. But too often I have to wait for it to find my network or wake up my tv. Please correct this bug. If not for my convenience, for my wife who has to listen to me complain almost every night that “it’s not working again”!

    Up until today 10-12-21 this app worked great. I down loaded the update and it no longer works properly on my ipad. The controller portion is shoved into the upper right hand of the screen and some of the buttons are hidden. It is useless now. Please review your update and fix it

    This app not only saved me money by canceling my $260 cable bill. My husband can watch ALL the westerns he can handle!! Loose the remote in the bed? No problem pull one up on your phone. Adding a app follows you on every tv that has Roku access.

    I can’t even connect to my TV anymore, even after the “normal” troubleshooting I used to do. Turn off (sometimes unplug) the tv close the app then turn tv back on then remote. BUT IT DOESNT WERRRRK!!!!

    The newest version cuts off the right side of the remote so you cannot access all of the remote features. It used to work well.Please fix it.

    I love this app, it’s amazing, and the only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because it doesn’t work very well on an iPad. There is a glitch that morphs the screen to fit a phone so their are several buttons you can’t press including the on and off button, and the only solution is to install and re-install the app. Otherwise, great on phone!

    Since the latest update unable to see the menu for connecting headphone to app. Only partly seen and the part I need, the headphone icon is not visible and nothing fixes this. New interface is annoying and unable to figure out how to contact support about this problem as no way to contact them on website.

    Ever since the last update, the app gets stuck on the initial screen and there’s no way to close the stupid “check it out screen”. Your Roku app is useless now. Your software engineers must be working from outside the US if you allow this crap to pass quality control. Congrats, you joined the rest of useless app I deleted from my device.

    I have a Roku Television. After I moved, I lost my remote, and I was told by Roku Support that I could use this app for my television. Because it was not connected to wifi at my new place, the app was entirely useless. I was then directed to buy a new Roku remote, and purchased the Roku streaming attachment as well because there were no individual remotes for sale. The new streaming device isn’t connected to my old television and I can’t use it. All of this to say: this app doesn’t allow you to connect to your Roku Television, power your television on and off, and raise or lower your volume. Please work on your user experience Roku. It’s extremely frustrating to not be able to access my ACTUAL television, and I’m stuck on one volume. So. Annoying.

    When i open the remote, the remote is scaled down and shifted to the right, approximately one third of the buttons are not visible and the ones that are do not function correctly. I am using a 5th generation iPad running iOS 14.7.1. I really like the app, but as it stands its completely unusable to me, up until the last few days this worked perfectly, so i can only assume that a new version update cause a problem. Please fix this so i can write a better review.

    This app isn’t working on my iPad since I installed the latest update of the app. I can’t use my Private Listening feature because the app isn’t displaying in full screen and it’s cutting off half the screen so I can’t see to select the earphones to listen to my shows.

    I am not a fan of this app any longer. On my iPad the remote control box changes size becoming very tiny which I absolutely dislike since I am visually impaired. Will be removing app from device

    I love this app, but having a native version for the iPad would help out a lot. I use my iPad as my home dock & having a full screen version of the Roku would help out.

    Have had no crazy issues with this app until the latest update. Don't know if it's just me but now every time I open the app it buffers for eternity unless I close the app and reopen it. Not a huge deal but super frustrating.
