    Terrible. It seems to never work. Can’t ever find my tv even though it’s been connected to it 1000 times. Can’t turn the tv on. Can’t find the tv if it is turned on. Literally just doesn’t work. It’s so annoying and aggravating that you just have to give up on watching tv at all. Works sometimes! But very rarely!

    The app is really nice when it decides to work. Getting on it and trying to connect to the TV is difficult most of the time. It always asks me to “wake” the device but I already turned my TV on and off about 3 times before that. Its very frustrating. When I CAN connect, the app is really easy to work on. The channels button lets u chose an app on the TV without having to actually go to the home screen. You can also turn the volume up on the TV with the volume buttons on ur phone. I’ve only gotten the app to work about 3 times. I’ve had it for a month. Everyday I have to watch things on my phone because the app wont work.

    App has pretty much lost its functionality. This is the only way I can turn on my TVs as I have lost the remotes. The touch function does not work & I can’t turn on my TVs as a result.

    Updated the app to 7.5.2 but it still immediately crashes as soon as I open the app. It’s been doing this since the last couple of versions.

    I’m having consistent issues with app not working unless I manually turn the tv on first. If my tv is already off and I open app.. my phone will not connect to the tv tho they are on the same WiFi, which means I have to manually get up and turn the tv on which now makes the app useless. However once the tv is powered on, the app then connects and everything is perfect

    This app crashes averytime I’ve tried to use it recently. It doesn’t “wake” the tv 90% of the time. It drives me nuts. And then if you use an actual remote forget using this on your phone, it won’t work until MAYBE the next day. Very inefficient and quite annoying.

    After looking through the comments I guess I’m the only person experiencing this problem. When I open the app to look through “channels” I have no problem. When I click on “remote” it tells me to “select a device”, so then I click on it and the page freezes. I can’t do anything but close the app entirely. If I open the app and go straight to “devices” the page freezes and won’t let me click on anything so then I’m forced to close the app. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled and the problems are still there. I want to use the app so I can wake up my tv when it’s dark and use the remote on the app since my physical one is really loud but I can’t do that when the app never works.

    The app ( when it works) is very nice to use. I can turn the volume up and down with my phone as wells as change channels. It is very convenient but my dogs chewed my physical remote up. This won’t be a problem if the app would connect like it should. Sometimes not every time it just doesn’t work. And the only way to get it to work is use the physical remote. You have to turn it on with that and it works from there. So now my tv is useless till I can get another remote.

    I have children that have a habit of losing our actual remote!!So this app saved the day numerous times!! Haven’t noticed anything to glitchy or buggy about it however the ads are a little much.other then that it’s great!!

    I’m not sure why they removed the headphones button from app. But that was the only reason for this app. I expect this app takes a hit and people will assume ROKU as a whole isn’t as great as it is. Just saying. Please return the headphone button. No need to Remove features!!!

    For the passed two days the app has not been working on any of my devices. The reason I use the app because with 3 kids the remotes disappear. We haven’t been able to watch tv for 2 days. I deleted reinstalled and updated the app and nothing. Edited: even with the recent update it’s still not working.

    A few weeks ago the app started to function only intermittently. I am not able to select a device, on the select device screen. Touch functionality does not work. The remote only works if I quickly click to the remote section when I open the app. I tried reinstalling the app. Now the “Connect Now” button does nothing when touched, so I can't even add a device now. My Rokus are useless until this is fixed. Im on iPhone SE running iOS 14.4

    I was using the app perfectly before the last update. As with the other comments, I tried to connect to the devices and it would freeze. So I uninstalled and reinstalled. Still did not work.

    This app worked perfectly fine in the beginning, but now the remote app won’t even connect to my WiFi! And when it does the app stays frozen! So I did everything to reset the app, turned off WiFi, deleted app and installed it agin nothing seemed to work so I deleted the app for good! I would have it 5stars but I rate it 1star!

    Worked perfectly fine for a long time. It started to freeze when I clicked the devices button and that was fixed but now I cannot search or find any of my Roku devices. Makes my Rokus useless as all my remotes have broken. So annoying.

    Honestly, it worked the first minute, and then it stopped. No matter how much you close and open the app, it won’t work. Not only that, both app and my phone are connected to the same network, yet it says Roku and device must be connected to same network. THEY BOTH ARE! I’ve tried everything, closing and opening the app, to deleting and downloading it all over again. It’s both frustrating and irritating honestly.
