I lose my connection every 15 minutes and I have it on automatic connect for WiFi and mobile. Wrote to customer service but no response on there end. Not renewing my subscription.

I am very unhappy with this service. I signed up for the free trial on 3/9/19. I downloaded it to my laptop and iPhone.I was charged $7.99 on 3/18/19. I emailed the company on 4/5/19 asking them to cancel and refund my first payment. I haven t heard back from them but I was just charged a second payment on today 4/17/19. It doesn’t cover a whole lot. I don t understand what s taking so long to cancel and refund. The trial is designed to force you to upgrade since the trial doesn t cover much time. I m disappointed in the customer service. I need a number to call. I want to CANCEL!!!!

I got McAfee many years ago and has currently reactivated my account to help protect my iPad and iPhone from these dangerous hackers and sites that harbor dangerous viruses which could steal personal information. I do value McAfee for its experience in maintaining a safe environment so I don’t have to worry about my valuable personal information being hacked or used in any way.

Keeps asking me to upgrade when I already purchased a year for up to 5 devices 1/5
So far this app keeps asking me to upgrade from my free account. I purchased a year policy on my pc for up to 5 devices. I signed on with my email and password and it still states that I am on a free plan. I can’t even find a contact us anywhere on the app. Extremely horrible.
I set it up to supposedly turn on automatically. Every time I open the app, I have to set up security manually. I suspect it is not protecting my tablet when application is closed.

Easy to use. Would work if it would stay on. Turns of automatically every 10 mins or so. Don’t spend your money. From a true fan of their antivirus software. Very disappointed!
Stops iCloud Backup 3/5
The problem I find with the vpn app on the iPhone is it stops the iPhone from backing up to iCloud. So you are forced to make a choice or choose another vpn that will allow you to do both. Please fix this fault ASAP.

Like the App—but got locked out of my phone 2/5
I like the app, but one day it kept asking for my password and wouldn’t accept the password. After multiple attempts, I had to uninstall the app to get past the dialogue box and access the rest of my phone apps. Not cool.

I am currently overseas for a period of time and purchased this VPN service to protect my information. Since I have started using the app it has given me nothing but trouble. While it works half the time on my laptop (Windows) it almost never works on my iPhone. There are two major issues with it.
The first issue is that it will continually fail to connect to the VPN servers. When it does, it will disconnect from them frequently causing you to have to manually reconnect.
The second issue is the app itself. When the app is opened, it will not pull up the drop down menu to select which server to connect to. This is especially frustrating if the server you have already selected won’t connect. When attempting to reach any sort of customer support, the app will only bring up an error screen.
In short, I would like my money refunded so I can purchase a more reliable and robust VPN service.
What did purchase and I believe I have no protection even after ordering unlimited data ?
Scary that the protection companies own systems are so poor.

If you purchased McAfee LiveSafe on Mac, what benefits does that purchase offer, as far as, living safe while being live & protecting identities and what is the difference between the mobile app SafeWeb VPN & The McAfee Safe Connect VPN app and why isn’t it part of a McAfee yearly subscription to LiveSafe ? Why is that a separate subscription to an already existing subscriber ? Are these programs even needed in a constitutionally based country or are we under attack by cyber terrorists and our device property is expensively useless from the factory ?

I should have known since it is powered by Hotspot Shield. It is so complicated and customer service is the worst if you ever figure out how to get in touch with them. The app has the worst help options. It worked good for a little, but as soon as there is a change, everything is de-synched and good luck restoring purchase. I am getting billed for an account they say it does not exist

Drops or won’t work 1/5
During the trial, there were minor issues such as once you press the start protection button then there would be a message stating, Oops something went wrong” but it would eventually connect after 3 tries. The worst is when you actually purchase this worthless service that is when all heck breaks loose and their true colors show. The service drops constantly, it never connects when you are in dire need of it, and there is always an error. I want a refund because I’m not even a week into paying for this terrible service. They should just go bankrupt already. It IS NOT WORTH PURCHASING. DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY.
I tapped the option for the free 7 day trial but it automatically charged me $47.99 for the year subscription. Don’t say you off a free trail then charge people anyway. That or fix what ever bug is causing this. For this being an company that claims to keep people safe on the internet it’s odd that your app doesn’t work right.

I purchased this and I couldn’t log o to any websites and my apps were not working. I had to disconnect the app and now home works just fine.
This needs to be removed until it is thoroughly corrected. I need to remove from my device but am unable to cancel subscription where my purchases are.

I bought the app online on my laptop. It isn’t working on the iPhone and isn’t properly showing up in my Accounts when I log in. Then I had to spend over an hour on the phone with customer service to get it fixed. Waiting for them to get back with me. Who has time for that kind of incompetence and why should I trust their technology if they can’t do a simple sale?

Worst VPN Ever 1/5
I used VPN in my iPhone since 2012. By far this VPN is the slowest VPN of all time. Very few locations to choose from. Either as a free or paid VPN, you are not good at all. Your UI is buggy and very confusing to use. Your network is so slow that my 7 years old daughter can not even watch good quality YouTube Videos, it always shows the loading icon. It also refuses to connect to your server all the time, sometimes it connects and sometimes I need to try 10 times to let it connects. Your Design also looks like old school UI, kind of Windows NT interface. McAfee is a great brand, please do not lose your brand value with this very poor quality VPN service. Please improve your network and upgrade your UI as well. I see you are advertising heaving everywhere. Please do not do that, instead of wasting money by advertising your poor quality app, invest that money in your product and VPN servers. Otherwise, you keep losing your long term fan like me. Hope this review helps you to make this app a better product

There are more than two months that I cannot access my paid subscription, due toma technical issue created by Mcafee after updating their app. Nobody solves the issue. They do not give my money back. It is a shame.
I paid for a full year subscription. Now they have my money, but they do not give the service.
Support just say: we are working to solve the issue.

Terrible Order Experience and Customer Service 1/5
I tried to sign up for a free seven-day trial and was charged for a year. The charge showing on my account history didn’t have an amount showing and had a different order number than the one in my email receipt, and I spent almost 40 minutes trying to get it cancelled and refunded in what should have been a five-minute call at most. I also was unaware that Safe Connect is only for iOS and Windows, excluding Mac OS, which totally defeats the purpose for multiple device coverage for Mac users. I strongly recommend looking elsewhere for a VPN service.
McAfee charging me twice to use their product 5/5
First I installed McAfee safe connect on my PC $7.99 a month for up to 5 devices. Downloaded the McAfee safe connect on my IPhone and used my user name and password I created for my PC everything worked great. The iPhone app updated and after the update the app wouldn't except my user name and password and was charged another $7.99 for the month on my iPhone. I now have it on my PC and Phone and I'm being charged 7.99 a month for each one. I'll be removing it from my phone after this review.
After contacting McAfee customer service we got to the bottom of the problem and all is good so I changed my rating from 1 star to 5 star as I never had a problem with the product per se as it's easy to use and works as advertised.

I have unlimited access which I bought in September and was working on my iPhone but for some reason after the recent two application updates my subscription is not working. I have logged off and logged in multiple times and still the app asks me to upgrade to premium and asks for payment too.
This app started to protect me right away and I got a little vpn icon

This is a legit VPN I have T-Mobile mcafee mobile security premium that is a great thing T-Mobile offers but this VPN is the worst ever! It always disconnects every time my phone goes off the screen never ever stays connected even after being a previous user I canceled my subscription! Loose the APP!!!!
Extremely slow data transfer 1/5
After the new “sleek” UI update, it has been extremely frustrating and very slow. Before this latest update, I was unable to even tell that the VPN was activated because my data speeds were unaffected but now there is some serious data throttling going on. Would no longer recommend a paid subscription to this at the moment until it’s resolved.
Update Ruined Everything. 2/5
VPN was working fine.. until the new update. I’m pretty sure it’s because the place i use the vpn blocks a certain type of vpn connection (IKEv2), but before, there were others. Now i can’t even use my subscription i paid for. Extremely disappointed. Please add this feature back as it’s a must have for me. (IPsec) (L2TP)
