Disconnects and Connects frequently 3/5
Works really well when it’s working. When playing videos however from my phone while screen sharing, it connects and disconnects every 5-10seconds while playing the video. Fix that issue and this app would get 4/5 stars.

Tried with iOS and Android both give same results... program won’t even acknowledge I have a WiFi connection let alone find the tv.... which is odd since I can screen mirror to the tv and cast to it fine from iOS or Android.... don’t waste your time on this program or a frame tv....

I am showing connectivity within settings > network but the app does not show the tv. This app seems useless.

I never write reviews for apps but I’m making an exception for this one. This app has potential to be really helpful and good but instead it’s complete trash. I was able to connect my phone to my tv but then the app would glitch and crash. I tried multiple times and the few times that the app didn’t prove itself a complete waste of time it still didn’t display the contents of my phone onto the screen. This app is terrible.

My neighbors tv is the only one that shows up. I’m not sure how or why my TV doesn’t come up when I scan for a device. Fix this app!!
Keeps saying I’m not connected to the same internet as my TV when I am. Let me use the app for about 5 minutes then kept saying my connection was lost. Would give it no stars if I could. Glad I have a Vizio now and not Samsung like my parents which I was using up until two minutes ago. Nothing against Samsung but this app is the worst.
I don’t think I’ve ever written a bad review but this is ridiculous. Look how many 1 stars there are. Developers need to fix this.

I have 4 Samsung TVs, all Smart TVs with Wi-Fi, and the app can’t find any....
And the app hasn’t improved in the past year or more..

Awful connectivity. Always hit or miss. Now on iOS 13 it freezes after load. Useless now for such an expensive tv. Samsung, please fix!!!

Got a new tv, tried to download this to make it easier to use it and the app wouldn’t even sync up to my tv. They are both on the same WiFi and up to date. Not sure why it isn’t working but I just uninstalled it.

My network shows up, and my tv is listed but the app refuses to connect. Shows an error message saying my tv needs to be turned on and on the same network as my phone and OF COURSE they are. 🙄

This app simply does not work. Terrible job Samsung! It cannot find my tv connected to the same wi-fi as my iPad. Don’t bother downloading this app. Complete waste of time.

Like so many other Samsung Frame users I downloaded this app hoping it would make using Frame easier. It immediately recognized the existence of my Frame — but refused to connect with it what ever I tried or did.
On the plus side it costs nothing. Which is precisely what it does.

This app worked great when I first started using it last year. I just started using it again, and like other customers have mentioned, it requires you to use your regular remote to grant your phone permission to use Smartview every time you close the app or lock your phone. Every. Single. Time. Major bug, and clearly an issue that wasn’t there before.

Wi-Fi Requirement - Samsung Incompetence? 1/5
This is asinine! My TV and phone are on the same network, but since my phone is using Wi-Fi (obviously) and I have chosen to hardwire the TV using an Ethernet cable to the Wi-Fi router, this app won’t work.
This is the only time I’ve ever had this sort of issue. Other apps work fine with mixed Wi-Fi/Ethernet.
Samsung looks incompetent and either needs to fix this or provide a reasonable explanation.

Apparently Samsung, a multi billion dollar tech company can’t find a decent programmer. Still can’t connect to my tv. It finds it occasionally. Meanwhile a random third party remote app found it and connected in literally 5 seconds (I had to press ok on my physical remote or it would have connected faster). Samsung, this is one of the many reasons why I haven’t bought another one of your products since I bought this tv (regrettably) and have dissuaded others from buying your crap.

I am a computer geek who worked for a software company. When I first configured the app with new TV, it worked somewhat ok. The whole tv app process was clunky and buggy. Did get the app to work though. Once I rebooted router and a new IP was handed out to TV from DHCP server, now app will NOT connect to TV at all. And uninstalling and reinstalling doesn’t work because it clearly still has the same tv info in the re-installed app. This might be an apple bug but I think it’s probably a Samsung bug. When a user deletes Samsung app, you should have the choice to delete user data.

Doesn’t look like Samsung has made any fixes or updates to this app in 10 months as of the time of this review. Maybe they’ve abandoned this app. Suggest moving on. It won’t find your Samsung TV no matter what even when you’re sure your TV and your phone are on the same WiFi. Even when you’re sure your tv is compatible. It even will say you’re not connected to WiFi when you clearly are. Broken. Plane and simple. And seemingly no response from Samsung or interest whatsoever.

We have a brand new 2019 frame tv and this app will not connect to it. It’s showing up on Bluetooth. I get my phone linked. The tv shows up on the list, however it gives an error message that the tv and phone need to be on the same WiFi network. They are. A little searching tells me that Samsung is no longer compatible with an iPhone and Samsung doesn’t care and won’t be correcting it. Terrible customer service.

I just got this tv and updated it and just downloaded the app. It’s on the same network and the ya is on the device list but doesn’t connect to it at all. Just says connection failed
