    This app is unreliable and buggy. To connect, it requires the user to select from a list of nonexistent TV choices. Then once you’ve correctly guessed your actual TV, the app requires the user to “accept” on the TV using the TV remote. ??? Then it will promptly disconnect so you have to start the convoluted process again.

    I just purchased a new 2018 65 inch Samsung Frame TV. It is connected to my internet via ethernet cable. This app will not connect to my new TV and will also not connect to my 40 inch Samsung either. Both TV’s show as options to connect to in the app but when I select one, I get a message “connection failed” every time. Samsung, please fix!

    Would give a zero stars! It does not work with newer models and your iOS phone. I was mislead to believe this would have worked when I bought my tv on Samsung website. In order to screen mirror with iPhone you will need to buy Apple TV for your tv.

    Garbage, waste of a app. The VIZIO Smartcast app is so much better than this poor app. Samsung should be ashamed to offer this app.

    This app doesn’t even work. The tv says it’s connected to home WiFi and the app keeps saying no tv found and I kept refreshing. Samsung do better.

    To require your software to have both the TV and the device using SmartView on the same WiFi is ridiculous! If I can Ping each device, within my domain, they are on the same network. Please fix and I assure you will get more stars.

    This app scans and scans. Tells me the TV that I am watching is not found. The app acknowledges connection to the wifi network for my home. The TV acknowledges connection to the same network. Other generic TV remote apps connect and control my TV without issue.

    Won’t detect a TV on the same network. TV was purchased in Jan 2019, verified connection on wireless network, and still, app cannot find the TV on the same network. Pitiful.

    It was clumsy to use but did the trick when the kids lost the remote. But now it’s useless. The apps don’t take the button inputs. It disconnects from the tv all the time. Can’t watch anything with it. USELESS now. Would give 0 stars if I could.

    I have a 2018 Frame TV and this app won’t even recognize it. It’s very frustrating because Samsung recommends this app to control the TV but it won’t even recognize it. Samsung need to get its act together where it’s apps are concerned. Love the TVs, hate the apps!!!

    The app simply doesn’t connect to television reliably. I have a new iPhone 8 and. Samsung 55” UHD TV which is 8 months old. The app worked a month ago but will not connect anymore. I have verified WiFi network.

    This app does what it claims, just painfully rarely. What is does consistently is crash, hang, disconnect, misrepresent what is on the screen. Just really poorly executed app and unstable. Very sad that Samsung chooses to sell but not deliver on promises.

    Have my TV on Wired TV to get better internet speed and this app only detects the TV if it is connected on the WiFi even though both wired and wireless network are on a same /24 subnet!!! This is a basic networking. Both devices on a same broadcast domain, networking 101 Samsung !!

    I have a Samsung Smart TV purchased in 2017. This is Samsung’s own proprietary app to work with their TVs. It doesn’t work, it just returns an error message saying that the app doesn’t support my model. Other remote control apps by third parties don’t work either because Samsung has locked it so that only their proprietary app will work. Can someone explain why this is a “smart tv”? Maybe because I am still smarting over being stung by them.

    In 2019 after paying what I did for this TV, I would hope to be able to project what is on my phone screen with ease but that’s not even possible unless I’m working within a limited set of data types (my photos, etc.). Projecting what’s on my mobile browser- nope- not happening. Biggest reason for one star though is app looks, feels, and functions like it was designed by a high school kid in an intro to computers class. I’ve probably been motivated to leave a written review four or five times in my life and Im old enough to remember my Prodigy username- it’s that bad. Disappointed in my otherwise beautiful TV. Guess it’s on me to do more due diligence before spending that kind of money.

    I would absolutely love this app if it had just one more feature. All it needs to be perfect is a QWERTY keyboard feature so things can be typed in the search bar easily instead of having to use the arrow keys which is incredibly annoying.!

    The first time I used this app it worked flawlessly. That being said, every other time I have tried to use it I get an error that it cannot connect to my tv and ....that it must be connected to the same network. It is connected to the same WiFi network. Nothing has changed and I am able to get on the internet via my tv with no issue. I expected better than this. I have also tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times to no avail. Don’t bother downloading this app - Samsung needs to get their act together. Please note if I could give this zero stars I would have.

    Older versions worked fine. This newer version just continues to say "searching". Don’t bother downloading unless you enjoy downloading apps...and then deleting them.

    It sees the Samsung ku7000 but refuses to connect. The app mytifi connects and works fine in 2 seconds. Why can’t Samsung get there own app and tv to communicate and other company’s can????

    TV and phone on same wifi network. Internet works on tv from same wifi network yet my phone can only connect to to once every few attempts. Icing ok the cake is it shows a connection prompt for the phone everytime and doesn't bother remembering. Pathetic. MU6300 and iPhone XS
