Best app on my phone! 5/5
Love this app! Listen to the podcasts in the shower. Part of my daily routine to keep me sane!
Pretty much stole money right out of my pocket and charged me twice. Still can’t figure out how to contact anyone to give me my money back
Although I do see very great potential for this app, I’m not interested in having to pay for a membership. I was looking for an ALWAYS FREE way to help myself, not this app that makes me feel hopeless and broke 👎🏽
Cool app 5/5
I do love this app but I wish some of the sessions were free
The app let me listen to the first audio clip in a series. The first clip was only five minutes long and didn’t even really get into any helpful information. After that, I couldn’t continue listening unless I wanted to pay $60. There should be more free sessions available with the option of buying a membership if you’d like to get more content. I couldn’t find anything else for free to listen to, though.
Scam for your money 1/5
Not upfront about ridiculous price to use this app. You can find the same stuff online free.
Only if you plan on buying the membership. 1/5
I was really excited about using the app and the possibilities it offered for meditation and self reflection, however shortly after downloading it I realized you have to buy to membership to use any of the app at all. As a grad student I don’t have $60 a year to spend on something like this so I wasn’t looking for a premium version. I thought I’d at least get a handful of meditations and self-care guidances for free and the rest of the app with purchase of a membership, but sadly no. One short introduction to the app and how it works is all you’ll get for free. Disappointing to say the least. Don’t download unless you intend to spend the money to buy a membership.
Downloaded and deleted app within first 10 minutes. It asked me a few questions did a meditations session. I selected 3 different things the app is supposed to help with and each wanted to charge $19.99 or more. Very disappointing, all about money money money. Nothing really free but how to breathe.
I LOVE this app, the free trial and the little snippets i received made me a believer of it. However i haven’t purchased it because the thought of a yearly subscription i don’t want to commit to. (May be an anxiety issue) however i wish we had the option of paying monthly. Or do we have that option and it’s something I’m missing.
I find it kind of crazy that you would charge for things like this... you get on the app and your excited to help yourself, love yourself again Etc & every category you have to pay to read about it
:( to good to be true 1/5
I downloaded the app and right off loved the introduction ❤️ but after That is until i realized that i have to pay $60.00 to use it or pay for anything in it i understand that you need to make money but unfortunately a mother of two i can not afford this ! I love the idea behind this just wish it was more affordable ! I will be deleting the app 😕
Work in progress 5/5
I’m the work in progress.
Thanks to this app I can finally learn how to deal with all these anxiety attacks and thoughts that I have. It’s been 2 days of listening to podcasts and I’ve been able to take so much stress off not only myself, but my heart and even my soul.
It’s great but 4/5
I really like the idea of the app and honestly I loved the introduction but as someone who can’t afford the premium it’s kinda useless...it’d be great if you didn’t have to pay for so many of the talks but I really do enjoy the idea of the app!!!
pretty good—if you’re willing to pay $10/month 3/5
none of the sessions go past one section without making you buy the premium. on the upside, it helps a lot with sending you uplifting notifications, inspiring journal entries, and helping with physical self care.
Not very inclusive 2/5
There is a large section on relationships & sex in the app, but it is mainly geared towards heterosexual women. The app could be far more inclusive to other populations.
Great but too expensive 4/5
Although each one is positive and great, they’re too short (3-5 mins only). If you want to listen to more you need to pay for it. It can be costly.
So freaking expensive 1/5
By Yeh buddee
$50 a year - they should make something they claim to be so “helpful” a bit more affordable.
You basically have to pay for everything. 1/5
I wanted an app to help me with anxiety and self love as it advertised. But instead I found that only a few sessions had 1 free “episode” and even those were just describing what the sessions would be. I’m very disappointed because I thought this would be a great app for empowering women but instead they just want money:(
Highly disappointing 1/5
By Forever Miss Dawn
I find this app to be vulgar and offensive... sweat words are completely unnecessary and far from lady like at all! I’m all for encouraging, empowering and supporting women ... just not in this manner. I don’t use this kind of language and it’s far from motivational to see an alternative to the “F” word in a notification or title. Deleted this app..
Perfect gift to myself 5/5
By mac & cheese please!
It's like having a private therapy session in your own home for 5-10 a day!
Free version is a tease! 2/5
By GFY Nickname
I am giving two stars due to the misconception I had when I downloaded it. I felt like this app is all about self-care and taking time for yourself, even if it is just a few minutes a day. I guess it is but only if you are willing to pay an annual fee. They may allow you to complete one or two podcasts/videos in a topic but then the rest are premium. I think it is ridiculous to have to pay $59.99 a year for a service like this, so I refuse to pay it. After posting this review I am going to delete the app.
I can’t recommend this app enough. 5/5
Sanity and Self is part of my daily routine. From relationship advice, to meditation practice, I believe it is a must have in every woman’s tool kit. Taking time to learn more about how to do life in a peaceful collected manner, even while dealing with tough situations, has been a blessing. This app has something for every woman and gives practical steps toward creating a better sense of self and acceptance.
Fun and useful 5/5
I just started using this app and already love it. I love the positive vibes.
Satisfied!!! Definitely recommend 😍 5/5
Day 2 of using this app and I am not disappointed yet! Buying the monthly subscription of $9.99 really opened the option to explore all the podcasts and they all are so amazing. They really talk deeply to you and allow you to reflect on your life and to water your inner seed to grow into the beautiful woman you are meant to be!! ✨ Definitely recommend!!
Expensive app 1/5
By human being 2
Not to sound cheap but I found once I started using the app that I couldn’t use anything unless I paid for it, and though this might be fair to some I don’t have the money to pay for any of it, which I found to be frustrating, people should have access to free mental help, and this is not a choice on this app.
Amazing app 5/5
I started using this app this morning at 2:30am, and I haven’t listened to any music or watched tv since then. I’m glad my heart guided me to this app. It’s truly wonderful and amazing. I don’t mind pay a subscription for something like this
I don’t like that you have to be a member to get the stuff. The first time I got it I loved it and couldn’t wait for the next day. But when I went in the next day I had to pay for it. Other wise I loved it!!
It cost money to be self confident I’m a teen and don’t have money for this but need the relaxation just seems unfair
Annual Subscription does not appear to work 2/5
I was excited to try this app and enjoyed the free trial, but I purchased the annual subscription but the app continues to prompt me to upgrade from a free plan and wants me to purchase every session in app.
Seems like an amazing idea 2/5
Seems like an amazing idea for an app. But Don’t waste your time. You have to pay for every subject you’re interested in.
But what about students 3/5
This is a wonderful platform that really seems to care about its users. The only problem I foresee is that it could be such a wonderful tool for teenagers and students to learn to be the best they can be and learn to love themselves. The problem arises when students and teenagers can’t afford to have the extra things that they may actually need. My only suggestion is to make more free options so we can grow without adding to the debt we’ve already surrender to.
More free content 2/5
After only listening to one 5 minute lesson on this app I could really tell that it was going to help me out allot.
It was going to give me the insight that I needed. And I was looking forward to getting active in the community.
And that this might also help me with how lost and hopeless that I feel.
And that it may also help me with confidence and to overcome recent trauma.
Unfortunately allot of the lessons that I could find seemed to cost 3 - 5 dollars.
I’m not at a place in my life where I can afford something like that.
I understand everything can’t be free. But maybe make a larger. More complete section with free content for the broken and broke* women like me, who are fighting to pay bills, transit, and groceries.
Women like me who still need guidance, who have dealt with trauma- but can’t afford regular doctors or therapy.
Auto sub 1/5
Bigggest scam ever. The app comes with a free week subscription, never give any warning and hit you with an entire years subscription. Who’s going to remember their week is over? And you better get it cancelled within 24 hours with apple, or you’re stuck. They know what they’re doing. This is why consumer protections are so vital. Because companies pull crap like this without warning and then tell you didn’t read the fine print.
I’m NEVER using this app again. It’s not about self help and your mental health. In fact the auto subscription gave me a real scare. It’s about making money.
It’s not free... don’t download 1/5
By I NEED TO RELAX
One of the biggest things app developers do is make an app “free for download”, but then very little content is actually free. They advertise ways it can help you better yourself, but neglect to mention it comes at a price. I don’t believe I should receive it for free, but I do believe you’re false advertising when you’re not being upfront about the costs. For people that are trying to better themselves, there are far better apps that cost the same or less.
Shouldn't have to pay 1/5
This app is way too expensive When I can find the sane free content online for free.
Great idea but not quite what I thought 2/5
I think the idea of this app is great but the fact that it ends up wanting to charge you and basically blocks access to all but one podcast just seems ridiculous. If you are wanting to encourage and help women why put a price tag on it.
Soo happy I found this app , wonderful app
Cost Money To Actually Use 2/5
This app would be really amazing if it didn’t cost money to listen to these podcasts. I’m a college student, and this would’ve been really beneficial in my life, I don’t have $55 to give to listen to this. Don’t bother. Wish it was free instead.
It could have been much better. You have to pay to unlock a lot of the videos.
Why pay money 1/5
Being a college student it’s hard. I thought this app sounded amazing but of course the deal breakers. You gotta pay. Why can’t something like this be free??! If I wanted to pay for something like this I’d go see someone.
I love it but $$ is always needed 4/5
I fall in love easily with apps that are about self-care all the time, but you always need money in order to do anything on them and I think that’s kind of unfair. I know that it won’t change though, being in a really consumer-heavy place. I do appreciate do some free sessions, but they’re only intros. I just think people that don’t have the money to do these kinds of things with self-care need to be noticed because they deserve it too.
All Intros 1/5
By Future Nurse 👏🏻
You have to pay to listen to all the pod casts so all you hear through out the whole app is intros
Worth every penny 5/5
The audio sessions have helped me so much in discovering who I am and what matters to me. I’m feeling a bit lost in life right now, and the Sanity & Self app is like a therapist for a fraction of the price. It costs $60 for the whole year which wouldn’t even cover ONE therapy session. My favorite program is “Give Less F#cks, Live More Life.” I’ve listened to it like 5 times now bc there’s always something new to give an F about. Can’t wait to see what new programs they keep coming out with!
I never knew how important (or really what) self-care was 5/5
This app is amazing. There is so much amazing information coming from some really amazing people. I’ve learned so much about myself and how it’s ok to put my needs first in order to better equip me to deal with life and even be more helpful when it comes to other people’s needs.
Self-care isn’t selfish!
Not great 1/5
Not even that great of an app and they made it hard to unsubscribe, automatically charging me 60 for a year long membership 🙄
This would be such a great app for me if everything didn’t cost money. Literally almost everything. I started what I thought was a free series to find that the 4th podcast on required me to purchase the upgrade (it was a seven part series). That’s really rude. I can’t even finish it! Messed up.
Great App! 5/5
Use it daily! Yoga, breathe breaks, and time to myself!
This app became my light in the dark! 5/5
I’ve been going through an extremely trying life situation and Sanity & Self has kept me focused on my mental health and self care. I couldn’t be more grateful for each speaker.
By Karate jake
This app is such BS... each piece of content has a price tag!
