See saw 4/5
By second grade sillies
A great tool for sharing student work with their families.
AwEsOmE ApP 5/5
My kindergarten students and their families love this app. The kids LOVE sharing projects they're proud of that they can’t take home. The parents love seeing a glimpse of what their child is doing each day. I love having all my communication in one place. The teacher folders are especially helpful for keeping assessments all together.
Seesaw for Gifted 5/5
I use Seesaw for my Gifted students every week and my parents love the communication of the student progress. Students have one to one access to Chrome books and I also have a limited amount of iPads for student use as well. Both devices allow easy sharing through the app. Wonderful tool for high ability students to express their skills. Thanks for a wonderful app.
Todd S. Elementary Gifted
This is a great app but I think it needs to fix their notifications the only notification O get no matter what the notification is supposed to be is "There is a new activity in (Class) please review"
Wonderful reflective tool for documentation 5/5
As a homeschool parent, I am loving this app. It’s perfect for our child-led Reggio Emilia Inspired Homeschool. I use it to document our learning journey and process. It’s a great tool for pedagogical documentation and reflection. We use it to revisit our ideas as well and dive deeper into concepts and ideas. A visual journal and online keepsake I hope to use for years to come. I appreciate all the features available to document and record learning.
I love it 4/5
Great program only draw back is that when I download videos my kids submit to my phone it’s only a picture.
LOVE THIS APP!!! 5/5
As an elementary school teacher, I have always struggled to document and publish student achievement. This app makes it very easy. Parents can connect with the school and the curriculum in ways that were never possible before. It is easy to use, the tools make a lot of sense. Students can use it easily and teachers can learn it easily. Thank you so much for this app!
SPANISH CLASS IS ALIVE! 5/5
By Whenever Dahling
This is the most engaging app I’ve seen in awhile, my students are loving it! Parents are loving it! Which means ADMIN will love ME!!!!
Thank you Seesaw!!!
Great app for the classroom! 5/5
My students and I are enjoying the Seesaw App so much! The students love the activities, and get so creative with using the technology. I use it for assessment to see if they can apply the skills we learn, and it’s so easy to differentiate with the app!
Amazing Way to Connect with Families 5/5
I absolutely love this app. I am able to stay in constant contact with the families of my students. I can easily share quick classroom announcements or pictures so they feel connected to what is happening at school.
Speech Language Therapy 5/5
By Diana Zimmerman, MS, CCC-SLP
I absolutely love this app! Iuse it to show parents what their child is working on during speech language therapy sessions. I record 30 to 60 second samples of kids practicing their speech sounds or words. I also record Story Champs story retelling tasks. This is a great way to show students’ skills and successes with teachers and parents.
Great for our class! 5/5
By OKPreK SPED
I teach a special education Pre-K class. Seesaw has been great to use!
I wish I could add more than one photo at a time to the albums. I also wish the albums were visible to families.
Great tool that can still improve 4/5
By Ms. Grey at theDREAMlab
We use this in our out-of-school-time makerspace. The students enjoy using it and understand it. The project style isn’t perfect for how we record things (w.i.p. Check ins and progress shots.) If multiple images could be posted together, and posts could be linked as part of a larger project, that would be great.
I am so pleased with this app! My kids, parents and I love it
Love it! 5/5
I use this app for my after school clubs and it’s a great way to show my students work.
I really just love Seesaw! I put my class pictures, videos and messages to parents! It’s a very easy app to use! I love It!
Kid friendly and teacher approved 5/5
By the teach qirt
I love Seesaw! I can post activities for students to complete. Students can post books, videos and audio recordings for me to see. We can also share with parents and comment on each other’s posts...kind of like Facebook for kids’ work. We use it every day.
As a special education teacher, this app changes the game both in a small group setting and inclusion environment. Also love that parents are involved every step of the way!
So easy 5/5
Easiest way to keep your personal privacy yet foster open communication and keep parents updated.
My students love it!! 5/5
This is a fabulous app to use for my classroom.
Great tool, missing assessment tools 3/5
Love the ease of use, but the skills dashboard just isn’t up to par with what kiddom can do. Make that enhancement, with api to sis, and the tool will be great!!
Best App 5/5
By RTS Teachers
Seesaw allows students to show what they know in many different ways. It is also a digital portfolio that can follow them from kindergarten to eighth grade. My students and I LOVE it!
Opportunities galore 5/5
Seesaw offers so many great opportunities for students. Besides showcasing their work in a positive way on a social platform, students can complete work right in the site/app, and make positive comments to peers, working on their digital citizenship.
By pooh room teacher
I love using seesaw to keep parents informed and share what we are doing in class! It is easy to use too!
A great tool to showcase student work 5/5
I love the features included with Seesaw to use with students in my classroom. Many of my students enjoyed being able to comment on students work in a productive manner. Parents do as well. If I had one suggestion… I would love to be able to use the Manage Students feature to disable commenting from certain students only.
Kids love Seesaw 5/5
My art students love using Seesaw. They think they are on Facebook. They enjoy seeing others artwork and leaving comments to one another.
Parents love it for SLP updates 5/5
I first tried Seesaw with a select group of students and quickly expanded to my whole caseload. I surveyed parents and 90% gave it 5 stars and the few others gave it 4. I’ve had a lot of positive feedback from parents in passing and at meetings, and it’s more confidential than the FB groups the classrooms have. The only thing I wish I could change is to easily track who I haven’t posted for recently without needing to go through each kid individually.
The BEST app for primary grades! 5/5
I have always had two problems with independent work in my first grade class: I can’t check up on them without having them hand in a worksheet, and I can’t always be there to give them directions again in case they forget, especially during centers. This app solves both those problems!! I can be at home on my couch checking their independent center work, I can record and write directions so that children of all ability levels can understand what to do, and I can turn just about any assignment into an authentic assessment instantly! Could not love this app more!!
So easy for students to use and fun to get parents involved 5/5
Students don’t have any trouble using this app to submit work.
Parents like being connected!
By First grad squad
This has been a great tool for students to show their parents what they are learning in the classroom! It’s easy for kids to share their growth and progress in pictures, videos, and recordings.

So much to love! 5/5
There is so much to love about the Seesaw app! It’s a great program for communicating between school and home. No longer can students come home and say they did “nothing” at school today. Parents and teachers can give students feedback to continuously improve the learning process! I recommend this to all of the elementary and middle school teachers that I work with!
Thank you 5/5
I am not good with technology! This is soooooo easy to use!
We love this app...BUT 3/5
By Emily McFadden
All of a sudden the custom text function is missing. My kids loved that, and there has been copious amounts of frustration now that it’s missing.
Customer service is unresponsive 1/5
After trying to contact someone for four weeks now, with no answers, we are being forced to go with a different app. Such a shame because the app has so much potential!
Individual log ins 4/5
By Mrs. Casto
One thing that I do not like about seesaw is that the students can see what I post on others boards when they log in. I wish each student had a different login or different QR code to scan, so that they did not have to select their name, and could possibly post on a classmates board.
Parents love it! 3/5
This is our second year using Seesaw. Parents love it!! It’s ‘instagram’ style feed allows for ease of use and visibility of pictures, announcements, and notes. I only with they could merge with remind for the benefit of importing a calendar and sending reminders automatically.
With 40 students between my two classes, I wish there was a way to upload more than one picture at a time (similar to how Instagram lets you create a series) or create a collage of a few pics that represent students work on a certain activity.
Finally, we purchased the Plus feature to help us with our Illinois KIDS portfolio artifacts, unfortunately the ratings scale is set for you and you can’t change it. It lets you use 4 stars instead of the 6 levels we need.
Overall, a great basic app to help bring the experiences in the classroom home and vis versa, send announcements, and keep communication visual. Hoping for the silver bullet of apps to help meet the needs of busy teachers and bustling students!
I love it, but.... 4/5
By Kinder with Mrs. P
I love everything about seesaw, but I wish there was a way to invite families by plugging in their phone numbers. I have families who do not check their child’s folders/backpacks or emails regularly or at all BUT I’ve never had a parent that doesn’t have a cell phone. They are more likely to connect if I could send a message or link to help them connect to their child’s journal via text message!!
Love using seesaw! 5/5
Every teacher should have this on their phone! It’s so user friendly and the payoffs are huge because parents will LOVE seeing what their children really do at school. It’s also a brilliant way to allow children to take ownership of their own learning!
Not only is it 21st Century, but the students Love it! The fact that I can enable comments makes them feel like they are texting (my students are second grade). SeeSaw requires listening, learning, and practice on the part of my students in order to operate the program. As the teacher, I appreciate using this digital resource as a learning and portfolio tool to share with students and parents.
Seesaw Teacher 5/5
By Seesaw lover
Seesaw is the best classroom app I have ever used. Students, families, and teachers all love it.
It’s hard 3/5
My class code would not work anybody have that same problem
Single Best Decision I Made 5/5
Adding this app to my class was the best addition I made last year! It’s a MUST!
Last year I used Classdodjo....this seems a little harder to navigate.
Teacher Review 5/5
Great program to use in class and out. I use it for class assignments and students can get class perks.
2 apps 3/5
I am a private tutor. I use this app multiple times a day with all of my students. There are so many features that I like about this app. It has been a great way to go paperless and to communicate with my parents. I have the parents post videos and pictures of the homework I assign. In order to do this they have to download the class app and the family app. There needs to be a way to integrate all of this into one app. Having two apps makes the first week of setup really confusing for parents. It would be much more convenient if all of the features were combined into one app.
Student Motivator 5/5
Students love to use Seesaw and it’s easy to use. Students like to create different structures with their STEAM bins and either take a video or picture of their work. They like to look at the work of their peers and comment on it.
Can’t wait to do more with it this year!
DEVELEPOR PLEASE READ THIS....HELP! 1/5
I loved this app so much but when I was typing a book report on the note thingy it stopped me and said u can’t have more than 500 characters. It froze for a sec then I was able to scroll up then it froze again and the whole book report was gone. Ten minutes of contemplating how to start it, three hours of typing it, six sevenths of a perfect book report gone to waste. I need a developer to read this because if the developer can get it back I’d greatly appreciate it.
