I’m afraid Etsy has fallen victim to the sunk cost fallacy with their new “Etsy Seller” app that is set to replace this one. Most real users of the app have recognized that the new app is inferior, yet Etsy has apparently dumped too much money into it at this point to scrap it as they should. This existing app is far superior in both UX and functionality. The new one feels like it was made by one of those app companies using drag and drop templates to build apps for companies that don’t have funds to hire a real developer team.
I can only hope that someone at Etsy will have the guts to admit the new app is a failure, then either pull the plug or completely overhaul it with a more experienced team of developers.

I previously had an Etsy shop. Until the verification requirement. The bank number I was repeated told to verify was not my bank account. Therefore Etsy never listened to me and closed my store. Who wants to make sales and have proceeds deposited into someone else’s bank account? I have tried many times to contact Etsy about this but their “robot” doesn’t understand so I have not received any response from Etsy in that long time! I would love to have a real person from Etsy contact me snd straighten this out!.

Etsy was once a great place to shop small but, as of lately I’ve been scammed 3 times from fake plant sellers. Yes Etsy refunded full amount but it should not be this way, they need to step up their security and scrutiny on sellers.

I have been using this app to sell for 5 years. It is convenience and easy to use. I can even operate orders when I am traveling. But, recently, it has been blocked by the China. Please please fix this issue!

Etsy is a great way for small business owners to use a convenient platform to sell their goods and merchandise. I sell vintage clothing and this is my preferred way to sell! I do have to say however, that I prefer the old app before they updated it to the new format.

Every time I try to log in to my account I get this error. I’ve updated the app, I’ve changed my password, I’ve restarted the app, everywhere else I log in is fine but to sell items you need the app. This is so insanely frustrating and no solution! I usually never complain but you can’t even use this app. Dumb.

Deleted the app, downloaded, sign in….same message….

As I just read in another review but I feel the need to reiterate just how awful this app is. How easily you can lose a listing by simply swiping your finger too far off your screen is a devastating feeling it takes so much energy from me personally to create a single listing because every single time this happens. Also during the uploading process, sometimes it doesn’t quite make it and it just disappeared it’s gone. It should have an automatically save progress function. that once you start a listing it should all immediately become a draft if you were to accidentally exit that window.
All listings, from the start of its creation should have its progress automatically saved as a draft until completed and published!!! Multiple drafts should be available to use at same times.
Change the exit form for listing page.

Just started using the selling portal and so far no significant complaints. Intuitive and efficient.
Two things keep from five stars:
1. Enable sellers to mark an item as shipped without having to inout tracking.
2. Revising an item with multiple variables like size is not available as far as I can tell. I can neither add to an existing variable quantity not add an additional variable once the listing is live. Have to do the whole listing over. I’m using an iPad, so perhaps that is the issue. But, seems like it should be.
Having said all that, still enjoy Etsy over any of the other options I am aware of. It’s my go to for selling our art and vintage items as well finding creative things to add to our lives.

I sold a couple years ago through Etsy and eventually stopped because my full time job got too busy. I since wanted to reopen a new shops with different items and all the app says when I try to make a new shop or log into my old account is “we have made improvements to the app please update your app or open on the web browser” um my app is up to date and the browser doesn’t help at all.

Stop Deleting Listings! 2/5

You guys delete listings with no explanation. How do you expect small businesses to succeed with one sided communication. Ive gone over the policies several times and my listings do not go against esty policies and are in the correct categories. I relist you guys deleted, i make edits, relist you guys delete. Im selling items exactly the same as other sellers and you continue to delete mine. I need answers, a live person to let me know what is going on. I have not had an issues until now.

I have had this app downloaded for a while and recently made a shop but the app will not allow me to sign in, it gives me the message “We’ve made some important improvements to the Etsy app. To continue, get the latest version or use your browser instead.” Of which I deleted the app and redownloaded as well as checked to see if there is an update, there is not for me, but I’m still getting the same message and not allowed access to the app. Please fix this problem.
