Overall good! 4/5
Pretty easy to use, makes everything about ridesharing much more convenient. App UI could use some tweaks but overall it’s a great app.
Absolutely love the app easy to use and accurate
Wonderful app 5/5
Wonderful app...I recommend it to everyone driving not only uber or lyft drivers...
Love it 5/5

Awesome app very accurate
So easy to use 5/5
I love this app!! It was really great to have it tracking all my work. I would highly recommend this app to everyone who works driving for any of the ride share companies. Thanks Sherpashare!!
Must Need Tool 5/5
This app is a MUST NEED if anyone drives for a app based ride share. The tools included make it well worth the subscription. It analyzes everything to make sure you have the best ride share experience. Always have this app open while driving!
By The man mr dude
Works great. Accurate in all my driving time and doesn’t seem to miss any unless the app is closed. So don’t forget to keep it open
Great App 5/5
What a great app, very beneficial & I’d recommend it to other rideshare drivers.
Good so far 4/5
So far I like it. However trial period ran out before I could really get into it. Dashboards are good. I drive only for uberselect so not sure how valuable this is yet.
Awesome tool for sales people! 5/5
Awesome tool for sales people that use their own car and phone.
Good app 5/5
By juggalo fo lyfe
Would be better if it were free
It’s an okay app 4/5
I like the service but it doesn’t update the hotspots or best places to drive until you’ve closed the app and restarted it, which can be a real problem if you are trying to use it while getting ready to drive for the day. Other than gay it seems to be an ok app for now I haven’t had it long so we’ll see in a little more time!!
Good app and provides actual events 5/5
So far one of the best apps for drivers to know the 411 for events and hotspots in the area.
Great product for ride sharing 4/5
DON’T BUY!!!!! REVIEWS ARE BRIBED!!!! 1/5
There are free mileage trackers that are 100% free that work just as well. Terrible customer service that is rude and argumentative. The positive reviews are coerced from paying app members by bribing them with free service. Buyer beware!!!!
Great app 5/5
Some of the pro tools are invaluable.
SerpaShare is a must have! 5/5
I’m loving this app. SerpaShare is a must have for any ride share driver!
Terrible customer service 1/5
I was recently asked to be a “sherpastar” to promote the app. Considering the app had MAJOR attacking failures in recent weeks, the last thing I am going to do is promote the app.
When I brought the tracking problems to the attn of tech support and the CEO, the CEO’s answer to me was that I was having “connectivity issues” even though on message boards others were having the same problems I was. Days went by, no change. I was in conversations with the CEO during the day, he asked me to send my most recent logs, I said I have been driving all day and it isn’t tracking. He was too lazy to look into my logs himself to show I drive the same route every day, 5 days a week from 8-4pm. Yet on the days “I was having connectivity issues” I drove the exact same route and yet I had no connectivity issues the previous 10 months!
I missed out on over 300 miles that were tax deductible in a 3 day span by a service I pay for that failed. That equates to over $150 in tax deductions. I paid for sherpashare to simplify thing for my CPA, I will end up costing myself $ for a service I paid for.
I asked the CEO what compensation he was going to offer for his companies failure to its paying customers...... his EXACT response to me was.......”you’re kidding, right?” He wasn’t condescending enough telling me that I had connectivity issues when it was plain as daythat they were having app issues, and hence an app update.
No, Mr. Jianming I’m not kidding! If you have customers that pay for a service, your service fails and you treat them like this, GOOD LUCK succeeding when others can use STRIDE for free or mile IQ.
It is the principle of the issue, pathetic customer service. This coming from someone who has worked in customer service his entire life.
Doubling my trips 1/5
Keeps doubling trips that i already have catagorized. Its ok but not worth the money

Loving the convenience of this app! I drive a TON for business and this makes the whole process of tracking mileage effortless. Writing off my mileage for taxes will be a breeze.

Two thumbs down
Love this app 5/5
This helps so much!!! I never have to remember to turn on anything to track mileage plus I get to see where I will get the most rides!!
So far so good 4/5
Just started to Lyft and this has been helpful
Doesn’t track miles, dont waste your money. 1/5
If you need an app to track mileage this one will NOT do. After the first two rides, it will not track no matter how many times you restart the app. Talked to customer representatives and sent them error reports and was unable to tell my why it wouldn’t track my every ride. they told me delete and reinstall the app which didn’t fix things. In the end I had to manually put the miles and I just deleted it. Don’t use, it’s garbage.
They contact me in app immediately available 5/5

Awesome response time!!!
No customer service 1/5
You can’t call for help. You tell them it’s not working and all you get is an “oops sorry about that!”
Missing trips! 3/5
I found it was interesting to test out but that, the old fashion pen and paper, FAR more reliable! Sherpashare was missing whole days of trips all together even with the app being opened during those days! Or in some cases I had one or two trips in a day when in actuality I had been driving to and fro all day! Yes I had miles detection on at all times but just wasn't cutting it for me!
Works for me 5/5
By Mesh do
New to driving Lyft I came across this app and stopped looking. It provides a simple way to not only track mileage but all expenses as well as car utilization for personal vs business. Easy to use and intuitive.
Great app 4/5
Easy to use. Track miles and expenses.
Set it and forget it 5/5
I gave up on a previous app and decided to give this a try. I enjoyed the ability to customize certain things, such as my gas rate and drive habits/behaviors. I also appreciated the ease of tracking and logging miles. The app sends prompt notifications following drives to categorize which is quick and easy. Another plus I found was the customer service. Even within the free trial I was reached out to daily by a member of their team seeing how they could further assist me based on my driving behaviors. I highly recommend this for anyone looking for a comprehensive tool for logging and reporting information!

This app is great for miles and would recommend.
Features galore 5/5
I have made $$$$$ with this app! Thank you!!
Track your miles 4/5
Great tools to help rideshare drivers! Helping me find locations that riders might likely be when I’m not in a familiar area. Also good tracking tool, tho I never signed up for full service so I didn’t get a report. If I could know it would effectively replace MileIQ, I would switch. I was able to sign on to MileIQ and make corrections and additions, not sure Sherpashare will allow this. Also found that my data and battery were being drained fast so I only did the free two weeks and stopped. Might still be worth it. I definitely recommend drivers track their miles! Heat map is good for hot spot recommendations.
It’s ok 5/5
By Don. Loves the Lord
A simple app that does what's its suppose to do. I'd like to see it tie into some Xero, QuickBooks, and other financial apps/software. overall, I highly recommend the app.
Easy and automatic 5/5
SherpaShare is a great, easy to Understand and Matic mileage tracking app. I drive for Uber and Lyft and after each trip in allows me to categorize them as personal or business. I’ve also tested exporting two Excel and CSV so that I can have all the details at the end of the year for tax purposes. I haven’t subscribe to the monthly plan yet but I do intend to.
I like Sherpashare tracking all travels. I tap the map, pick person or business. From there I have multiple choices.
Tried 3 Apps This Wins 5/5
By Pat Parra
Compared Stride, Hurdlr, and Sherpashare. When my phone crashed Strides tracking was lost. Hurdlr works well but is not as easy to use as Sherpashare. Also I found I end up saving more money when using Sherpashare compared to the other 3. The big thing for me was finding an app that would still finish tracking my trips, even if my phone froze or reset. Sherpa seems to do the trick. Highly recommend
Great potential. Keep the improvements coming 4/5
So far I’m really happy with the mileage tracking part of this app. I love that it tracks automatically without having to turn it on and off. No issues with missing trips so far.
The Pro Tools features seem like they will make this app well worth the monthly fee. I’m still a little on the fence about it, because I’m not quite sure they’ve paid off for me yet. Here are the issues that keep it from being a slam dunk 5 star app:
Heat map: it would be really helpful to have the website version of the heat map available in the app. When I get a ride to an unfamiliar area, I’d like to know what areas tend to have relatively high demand at that time of day without having to go to my web browser and use the clunky time slider. The heat map in the app is not that much better than Uber or Lyft, because you still end up “chasing the surge” based on where demand was a minute ago, when it might be somewhere else by the time you get there. With the web heat map, it’s also based on the past, but it can also predict where demand is likely to be when you get there.
Compass: not very useful to me at this point. Why does the slider have such a huge range? 10 miles is on the low end of the scale, but that can take 30 minutes or more to travel! When I end up in an unfamiliar part of the city, I need a ping within maybe 5 miles at most. Plus, I want it to be in the direction of familiar territory, not anywhere in a circle around me, which could take me twice as far away from where I want to be.
Hot spots: cool idea, probably needs more users to contribute. Again, in an urban area, 10 miles is a long way to travel to a “hot spot” and you’ll invariably get a ping along the way that takes you somewhere else. It does seem like you could take all the aggregate data and create useable hot spots from that. The closest “hot spots for you” that I get are 5-8 miles, which is pretty useless in Los Angeles. I think 2 miles would be the farthest useful distance.
Anyway, I hope this app continues to improve. Overall, I definitely recommend it.
Best for ride sharing so far, but needs some polish 4/5
SherpaShare does indeed do the work for you at a reasonable cost. If the company remains committed with enhancements and updates, it will own this market.
Taking all automatic approach (even integrating with an Automatic adapter), the app lacks real time trip tagging and manual trip entry. Relying on a server and web portal for the above features removes some of the app’s elegance. I would find the ability to relate SherpaShare’s trips to individual trips useful in case of an audit; on the other hand, logging trips en masse does mean the cost of picking up a fare is tracked with appropriate mileage deduction.
SherpaShare also focuses on Uber drivers despite allowing tagging of virtually every rideshare service known. The app would be improved if it supported Lyft as thoroughly as it does Uber. Since navigation apps like Waze are integrated with Lyft and Uber’s Driver apps, there may be appropriate APIs to deeply enhance SherpaShare.
The premium features, although useful, also focus on Uber more than Lyft. Of exceptional note is the chat feature. If one wishes to enjoy political diatribes, rudeness and obscenity, jump right in! I, however, would encourage policing of user names, behavior and posting by a moderator.
Overall, unless something better comes out, I’ll be using SherpaShare.
So far SO GOOD 4/5
Having just done taxes, I wish I had this last year.
Very helpful app 5/5
Does all the work for you. I love it!
New user 4/5
Just downloaded the app still testing it out, it did notify me as soon as I got home from work to update the trip which was nice will touch base with you in a month to let you know.
Use this app to keep up with mileage and it does a great job separating work from regular travel.
Easy to use 5/5
It’s a very simple app that does so much so that I don’t have to.
Tracks my trips and lets me designate between personal and business.
Easy entering and tracking of my expenses.
Tracks my earnings and generates extremely useful reports
I’ve found it effortless to use, and it does the record keeping I hate doing myself. So far it’s great!
Questionable reviews 1/5
Before my SherpaShare trial expired, I received emails from them saying that I could get a "FREE month of SherpaShare membership" and to "reply to this email with a screenshot of your review so we can credit you." I'm not sure if Apple allows that. Keep in mind that some (or many?) of the positive reviews here were traded for month of SherpaShare membership.
My SherpaShare trial expired abut two weeks ago. A few days ago, I took BART to San Francisco (not driving). I noticed that my battery was draining fast. I checked battery usage (in Settings) and discovered that SherpaShare was responsible for 15% of my battery usage! I launched the SherpaShare app. It said that my Free Trial had expired. SherpaShare continues to track mileage and use the battery after the trial expires.
I just noticed that the app description says, "Do you drive for Uber or Lyft? SherpaShare boosts your income 30% and more." Really? I don't believe that claim.
SherpaShare's main value is tracking mileage, but many other apps do that very well and have done it longer. In 2017, I started driving for Uber. To track my mileage I reset the Trip Odometer in my car before driving, then after driving, I recorded the date and distance in a Numbers document in iCloud. Since the document was in iCloud, I could modify it from my iPhone or my Mac. This record was fine for my taxes.
Mileage tracking via a mobile app is convenient, but it's not absolutely necessary. If you do use an app for mileage tracking, make sure that you have complete access to your data (because it's your data).
Hotspot finder 5/5
Has helped me find hot spots in my area
