Nearly perfect 5/5
I can read manga on my iphone 8s. No zoom, full page, crystal clear. Downloads work. The interface is pretty slick. Organizing this much content is a tall task. They push new content over old content, but if you want to explore the history of Shonen Jump’s manga, it’s easy enough to do. Plus it’s only two bucks a month.
(Minor gripe: no Hunter X Hunter)
It’s nice 4/5
By Leafar H
I like it and use it a lot. Only complaint I have is that some manga are missing chapters
Obsessed with the SJ App!!! 5/5
So many amazing titles to choose from and I can read on the go, which has made my life tolerable in such a stressful world.
Needs Device Syncing 4/5
If I could sync my reading list between iPad and iPhone and web, this would be five stars.
Simply excellent 5/5
Easy to use with all the Shonen manga at your finger tips.
Is the 2$ worth it? 4/5
This is a good app, the main reason I downloaded it is because the main licensed mangas like Naruto, One Piece, My Hero Academia, and One Punch Man are mangas you can’t read on an app like manga rock but isn’t worth the hassle to read on an online website. But with the 2$ subscription, you can read all these mangas( only the mangas under Shonen jump) but only up to 100 chapters a day. I get not being able to download a certain amount, but the fact that I’m paying for the subscription and I can only read 100 chapters a day seemed like a rip off: like they are trying to make sure you don’t speed through all the mangas and subscribe when in reality I just wanna binge all these mangas over and over again. So hopefully this changes but it’s almost pointless to have the free membership for this app, and then paying for it means that out of the about 50/60 titles that are provided by shonen jump: you can only read and download 100 chapters a day. I would say try to the free trial and see for yourself, but for me as long as there is a read limit I wouldn’t pay for the membership no matter how cheap it is.
Almost there... 4/5
I’ve been using this app for a week now to read Dr. Stone and I’m really enjoying both the manga and the app. This app is good but not perfect.
First, you can’t favorite manga, only certain chapters. This is really annoying because I want to keep a list of all the manga I’m reading or would like to read without having to download the chapters.
Second, I just caught up with Dr.Stone, and after finishing the most recent chapter, the manga disappeared from my “Reading” section. I would really like it if it stayed there so I can quickly see if there’s a new chapter.
Third, making an account is pointless. I have the app downloaded on both my iPhone and iPad for reading at home and work. Both devices are logged into the same Shonen Jump account but none of my bookmarks get saved. Any reading I do doesn’t get saved to the account, only the device so even though I’m logged in on both devices, I’ll have to keep my own track of where I’m at, really inconvenient.
Fourth, it has a good number of shonen manga, but not as much as I would like.
Fifth, back to Dr. Stone, currently there’s 111 chapters on this app and a new one coming out in a couple days. However, pirated manga sites already have the 112th chapter available. If I’m gonna be paying for an app, I’d like to have new chapter ready to read as soon as it’s a available, not two days after pirating sites receive it.
Those are all the problems I can think of right now but I’m sure I’m missing at least one more. Don’t get me wrong though. This app does a lot of things right. It’s high quality scans with bold lettering so it’s hard to read on an iPhone screen and the app layout looks nice.
If there’s an update fixing most of the issues I listed, this app could easily be 5 stars and definitely worth the couple bucks per month.
Much to like 5/5
Super dope app
Minor concerns tho,
Hopefully they update in the near future and add more tittles preferably hitman reborn haha. But other than that app don’t hurt the pockets and easy to enjoy
Just a suggestion 5/5
I think something that would make this better is if there was a series bookmark/favorite option in the app
My review 5/5
By a males review on manga
Would be better if I could read licensed Manga on ios
Smart move 5/5
They’ve made the newest chapters free. So it’s great for bringing in new readers. Plus their membership is cheap. The scans are such high quality too. It’s great.
As a long-term Dragon Ball and Naruto Fan I LOVE IT! 5/5
This is a must have for every Shonen Jump reader. Even though you only get 3 free chapters, the subscription is cheap and VERY WORTH IT! Also, even if you don’t get the subscription it’s still in HD unlike many other manga apps. If you pair it with music from the anime, then it’s even better.
Best manga reading app out there 4/5
By Bored Manga Reader
Great app with very fluid and easy to use features. The only downside is in order to add things to your library you have to download them instead of being able to keep a select few to read without having to sift through all the others. Other than that the app is fantastic
Must have manga app!!! 5/5
Do not hesitate, and the subscription is an excellent value.
It’s great but I’m twelve/al money goes to college 3/5
You need to join for everything and if money is something you have then 6/5
My only complaint about the app is that it doesn’t have genres set up. It would be nice to be able to look up a genre and find new manga to read.
Very good 5/5
Great when it works 3/5
I usually can’t access my manga because the app continually doesn’t recognize me as a paid member even though it shows my subscription as active. Very very frustrating
This is body checks 1/5

This is the most scamming game on the world you say it’s free but if is not cause I can’t read chapter 246 of black clover I think so is it really free huh huh tell Bandai about this and he will sue you and hunt you lol lol lol this is buttchecks
So I’m a little kid I’m 12 years old and I watch dbs a lot but I don’t have any money to buy the subscription even if it’s 1.99$ my mom does not give so I would love for you guys to make a free no payment subscription but come on guys you win los of money let us enjoy manga like we are supposed to be
Great manga too bad about downloading manga 5/5
I used to be a yearly subscriber and right now I’m currently still on my yearly plan I’ve enjoyed it so much my only problem I have is I love downloading manga to read later I’d enjoy in the future if we could renew our downloaded manga chapters instead of it being automatically deleted
Scans? Why bother when you have the official release for such a good price 5/5
I use to read scan and liste to reviews before the official chapters were out but the longer I listen to the One piece podcast and the insights that the official translator had to share with the fandom made me want to read the manga as it is intended and not an edgy/ “authentic” rush translation from scan.scans left me with a small distasteful moments when just to make something sound cool they will leave untranslated words that yes sound cool but when read in a foreign language and this untranslated words aren’t key components to the manga then they should be fully translated to get the actual point that the author is trying to tell. The quality in dialog is great, that is to say the latest translations from the last decade and a half because the manga industry in the west has come a long way. People who knock some translation choices base on early chapters shouldn’t complain to much of is not as weeby as scans. Remember the translators need to get comfortable with the world and language so the readers can follow without getting confused every other chapter and they don’t end up spreading wrongful information to the fandom. Got the subscription quite a while only use it to read One piece but boy there are so many more manga and I think I’ll read the OG dragon ball manga. Never read it before lol. Anyways app is not perfect but it deserves 5* for all the great thing that they give us and for such price
INCREASE CHAPTER COUNT 3/5
Pls I want to read more than 100 chapters, Would pay more for this. Pls. I am a simple man
Can’t Sign In 5/5
By Tanner cox
This app is phenomenal. This review is strictly for this version update.
I can not sign into my account.
I can not change my password.
I can not create a new account.
I’ve deleted the app and reinstalled it. I’ve waited a week to see if it would resolve itself.
Whatever the “unknown error” is that I’m suppose to “check back later” on is driving me away from using this app.
Problems with membership 3/5
By A L L M I G H T !
I’m paying for premium but I still can’t view/read certain chapters bc it’s telling me to join the membership. Which once again I’ve already done.
Great app for current titles 4/5
By Ahja Reyn
They’ve fixed all their old bugs from when it first came out, which is great! Now it’s a lot easier to browse and read any title available with the monthly membership!
On the downside, they only favor the extremely popular older titles to keep around. I’m hoping this will change - that maybe they will cycle through some of the older manga to make it available for readers every six months or something. Because I would LOVE to have legal access to completed works such as Hitman Reborn as a way to show my support for the live stage production happening in Japan right now. Or D. Gray Man considering they rereleased the anime a few years back. Just as a way to help support the mangakas and let them know they still have fans out there.
Don’t like paying 5/5
I like it but I don’t like the fact that you have to pay for it
Really great app. Lots to enjoy and read
It’s so confusing 1/5
Why does it go from chapter 6 to chapter 40 out of nowhere ? What happened to chapter 7?
Great app and easy to navigate. Also reasonably priced.
It’s good 5/5
Even if you don’t get the membership you sill will be able to read the latest chapters of your favorite manga right at your fingertips. The membership is only 2 dollars a month and let’s you every comic the app has.
One problem 5/5
I don't know how many other mangas have this, but Kimetsu no Yaiba skips from chapter 52 to 139. It would be great if I got every chapter, but other than that, this app is definitely my go to.
By Max gertschen-klaseus
Plenty of good books on here and I like that you can download them
By dat boi 1234321
It kinda sucked that we have to pay money to read almost all of the chapters. The one thing I liked though is how they let us read a few chapters free.
This is great 5/5
By Anime Watcher 112233
I wasn’t much of a manga reader, always preferred just watching the anime adaptations but this app has turned me into actually preferring to read the manga than watch the anime. It is fantastic and convenient if not a bit buggy when flipping between apps or closing to write a text and then coming back. I always have to close the app and then start it up again but that is just a small small small inconvenience for this fantastic app.
Dope asf 5/5
This is that app right here bruh! Download that right now! And get a subscription! It’s worth the $2 bruh! It’s only two dollas mane. Come on mane.
Favorite way to read 5/5
This app is spectacularly designed and convenient. The selection of manga is really good, varied, and vast. Downloading chapters in advance saves me data and loading times, especially since I live in a rural area. I've never hit the 100 chapter daily reading limit, and I read all of dragonball up to the latest issue of super in one month. My only problem with the app has since been solved, since they added bars showing how far into the chapter you've read. This is probably my favorite app on my phone.
The best way to read manga hands down 4/5
The quality and value for this app and the subscription is very good. The addition of the Continue Reading row was awesome. To me, the only thing keeping the app from 5 stars is not having a “Favorites” section of the library, and only because the library is very large. I like organizing so this might be a personal thing.
This is what Shonen Jump fans have been waiting for 5/5
By Joe Spiff
It took a long time for publishers to catch up with the bootleg digital distribution model that had dominated the manga market, but this is them doing it — and the quality is great, and it’s lovely.
Good but needs more 3/5
I love the idea of this app. I want to support my favorite series and this is a great way to do so. But I wish there was some sort of bookmark or favorites that can keep track of the ones you want to keep up with. This is a great ebook reader though. I wish the releases came out same day or the next day after from the original. I recently read Demon Slayer, and since I have no self control, I wanted to binge read it, only for me to realize you stopped at ch 53 and then had chapters from 139 and onward. Why would you do that? If you already have 139+ chapters, just have 54-138 too...
Anyway, having ebooks is a more convenient way to travel with, since I move a lot. I’m trying to convert to ebooks, but I can’t help but buy the actual books when they come out...
If I could give 0 stars I would 1/5
By Wolfie Woods
Ok.Let me get this straight. You have buy a membership to read more then three chapters of the my hero academia manga. That’s annoying.Ya girl just wanna read her favourite anime’s manga series and I have to pay to do that I’m deleting this. (Please correct me if I’m wrong)
MY REVIEW 5/5
I wish the mangas were free anyways GOOOD APP
App is good but keep getting errors 3/5
I keep getting the "missing pages" error. Not the biggest deal but gets annoying when it happens 5 times in one chapter
New and improved 5/5
I was an on and off reader for a while sometimes picking up the occasional volume and reading the free stuff but I always wanted to dig deeper into. The new system is amazing I am having so much fun catching up on all the current running manga and becoming a part of the conversation. The subscription price is dirt cheap and is an amazing deal for what you are getting. The books load very fast though I do wish it had a guided view like comiXology. The way you add books is also cumbersome. They only have a section for purchased and downloaded items, I would much rather prefer if i could add books I intended to read later without having to download them. Another minor gripe would be a lack of recommendations, so far I’ve been going off of currently running and recommended manga but I would like to dig deeper into the vast library they offer. Maybe a rotating roster of recommended books on the home page would fix this easily. Other then those minor problems the app has been greatly satisfying and I highly recommend it for anyone looking to get into manga.
First time user 4/5
The app is pretty decent and I’m able to enlarge and read any manga! This is amazing for an visually impaired individual!
Needs bookmark/favorites 4/5
By Super grizz 22 omega
The app itself is functional and is a great deal at $2. My only gripe is the lack of bookmarking or favorites feature. Add that in and straight 5 stars for sure
Best value for $1.99 5/5
By Susu's Tbone
The only thing I would recommend is too make a way to delete all downloaded manga in just one tap instead of manually deleting each one, other than that the high amount of Viz media Shonen Jump affiliated manga, the ability to read unlimited, and the ability to download up to 100 chapters to read offline, would definitely recommend 5⭐️
it's "ok" 3/5
1. i need alerts to when the manga i'm reading is about to drop.
2. why can't i follow a manga?
3. some manga are not available to read even through the subscription.. that's lame.
4. i like the download feature.. but you guys definitely need to add more manga.
