This is much better than paying a teacher 5/5
You set your own days and hours
Dedication and focus is the only thing you have to contribute in order to be successful.
3 flaws 3/5
1: these lessons are way too expensive. 2: I hit the correct notes and it doesn’t catch it. 3: it’s way too hard, I think I’d rather get a piano teacher.
IM IN LOVE WITH THIS APP 5/5
This app is the best app ever and I mean the best it actually works
Its Ok 3/5

It’s so beautiful. I can’t even.
best app for me - new lesson per month please 4/5
By G Vibes
I've always wanted to learn piano, but was never disciplined or motivated enough to stick with it. Finally committed and found this app. I've used it every day for the last 180 days straight and still keep coming back for more. I love how they keep adding more lessons each month - sometimes it feels a bit slow, but at the same time, I have plenty of things to keep going back over and improving. I wish there were more songs at each level and more song sheets, just to keep the older lessons' emphasis more interesting but that's hardly a complaint. The iPhone touch-only workouts helped keep my daily habit streak going when I was out of town on vacation. It doesn't always hear every note I play in chords, but it's pretty darn impressive.
Update: 511 days in a row and still appreciate the app, BUT, the new lessons every month thing hasn’t really happened in a few months. They’ve done some tweaking to earlier stuff, and I’ve got no problem with them trying to optimize for early starters, but there’s still so much to teach after intermediate IV and Chord Styles III and the Bach sets. Let’s keep this train going forward!
yeah its free all right, until its not. 2/5

i have TRYIED to like this but, its so hard to like this. they say in the adds saying "FUN EASY AND FREE" but no. its not as exciting as it seem if you really want to lear piano on this app,
congratulations you played ya self, you have to pay for lessons
to learn REAL STUFF and not baby stuff. for most of all if you want to learn to play piano. go to a real human, not a coded app.
This app is great. Love my piano teacher shared it with me.
Great app! Easy to use 5/5
By Flashin lights
Awesome app, very easy to use and get started right away
Charged me twice 1/5
I got the subscription for 120$ for 1 year of lessons and I got charged every month.
One problem 4/5
I love the app but there is 1 problem. When I hit the key it sometimes doesn’t pick up the sound
I know how to play 1/5
By Clan 888
Even when I typed in I had experience playing, it put me on the basics. And I just had problems with the game because I played g like it told me, but it said I played c and kept putting me in practice mode.
GREAT!!...but one tiny complaint. 3/5
Over all the app is great, I am very satisfied with the outcome, and how much i have learned already. However the only complaint I have is, the app won’t pick up my notes not matter what I do. I have a Sound Master 61 key electric key board, it has a lot of sound, and a very strong base so I have a hard time understanding why I am having so much trouble getting the app to read the sound. I am not one to get frustrated easily and give up when it comes to music but with this happening so often it is quite hard to stay calm when you’re constantly pressing the right note but keep getting told it is wrong and having to do the practice mode. I have nothing against this app just simply asking that the makers take a look and see what they can do.
Simply piano 5/5
This app is amazing I love it! It teaches me how to play the piano and if you mess up they go back and make you practice so you will be better but this app is amazing I know that I will be good at playing the piano in the future.
help you learn piano it is awesome
Wish subscription was free :( 2/5
By snap hater :0
Some parents don’t get a lot of money and can’t afford piano clases. When I saw this ad on a game I was like WOW I can finally play piano now!! But I finished 1 course and was about to play a song and you have to pay like 160$ I don’t have money for that. I wish it would only cost you money for playing any songs without unlocking them and everything else free. But the app is good but not totally free :(
Wrong notes 😬🤷🏻♀️ 1/5
I am new to the app so I thought I would give it a try. I clicked on middle C but it keeps telling me that middle c is the black key above it . I don’t know if it’s my electric piano or maybe just for the first time ?
Learning the piano 4/5
This app is good that introduces you to play the piano at a good rate however the note detection is not always the best
It won’t work 1/5
I have an iPhone 7 and I seen a lot of advertisements on this app so I checked it out. It was working pretty well until I got to middle E. At this point it could not at all hear when I pushed a key or not so I could not get passed this part. I had my keyboard on full blast and it still couldn’t hear. I did EVERYTHING and it would not work. The music is off too.
Absolutely terrible at note recognition 1/5
This is great concept but with absolute terrible performance. I recommend you work on a major update to get this issue addressed
I think that this app is really okay but it really makes me angry when I press the right note but the app says that I pressed the wrong note and that drives me insane, i also hate the way of how when ever you make like 3 or 4 mistakes you have to go through the practice mode which slows down your learning process. But other than those problems the app works okay...
I saw a lot of ads on SimplyPiano so I decided to get it. I did the first section in like 10 or so minutes and then I realized you had to pay for a subscription and I thought “oh well I’ll just do the stuff that doesn’t need subscription to do” but then I realized there’s nothing other than the first part and the touch version. That’s why I deleted it and came here to write a complaint.
I don’t like it.. 1/5
First off, you have to pay for the next lesson, which not a lot of people have credit in their phones or something. Also, the recognition is terrible. When I press the right keys, it assigns them as wrong. No, Joytunes, I’m not following or messaging your social media. This can be either changed or kept the same to the point of me deleting this. Thank you or your app but for me it isn’t to my standards. Not trying to be harsh.
By Frosty Games Co.
While the app is well-designed, it has one fatal flaw. The app is incredibly unresponsive. Half of the time it wouldn’t register that I pressed down a key, which meant I couldn’t even get past the first part of the first lesson. Awful.
I know how to play the piano really well. I got this app because I saw that it could give you songs and hear you play and give you tips. But I was not expecting to have to start from the very begging and not even be able to play songs I want to try. I'm playing some of Mozarts songs that even most adults can't play. So when I was forced to play the first five notes and being told that I was off beat or didn't play it quick enough was frustrating me. This app may work for some people but it definitely didn't work for me. I want to enjoy playing piano and I thought this app could help fill in the holes. But it didn't. Kinda of sad. I don't have the money to buy the songs unlike some people. I want to play classical songs and songs that give you a rush. This app definitely didn't have the feeling of playing piano. It just didn't click. 😕
The free forever plan, barely teaches you ANYTHING whatsoever, And the plans, other plans I mean ONLY bill ANUALLY at over 600 dollars?
This isn't free like it says in the ads 1/5
I saw all over the place that it was learning piano for free, I finally decided to try it out then I learned I can't even do any more courses because it's not ACTUALLY free, so what they're trying to do is say "This is free!" Then make us pay for it? No, just no.
Was disipointed 1/5
I was soooo exited to learn to play the piano. And it’s always been so hard to find something that was for free. Then I found simply piano. everything was good so far then I went on to the what’s next and wow what a surprise I had to pay to learn literally almost all of the notes besides the first five. I was very disappointed. Even in the advertisement it said it was FREE. Very disappointing that it was not.
Awesome but one thing 4/5
So you need to work on it recognizing paino but over all awesome game!
This is stupid 1/5
By Kawaii kitty3
I hit the notes at the right timing and it took me to practice mode and I did this for an hour and it still said I was wrong.this app don’t use it
Doesn’t work 1/5
I use to play piano but stopped me since I’ve always wanted to continue learning this app came up on adds so I installed I have piano but is said I was doing the one next to it but since I’ve already played I knew I was doing the right one so i put i didn’t have a piano but still couldn’t use Cause I was trying to actually ply 1 star hope you fix this horrible app
Good game 5/5
i had it for 1 day and im good at piano
Love it wish full experience was free 4/5
Love the app but would love it if it was fully free. I’d LOVE to see a violin version:)!
Not really helpful. 2/5
I used this app while I was playing my keyboard, and it wasn’t even picking up the notes correctly. So I don’t think it works for all pianos.
Overall nice application! 4/5
I really enjoy how easy this app is to use.
I have already learned so much piano which is great!
I do have to say that the singing is pretty terrible. I always imagine that the app developers just sang the songs their selves after making the app.
The singing is so terrible at times that I can’t properly play the lesson because I am laughing so hard.
Also the main pictures are a little offensive at times. The picture of James Blunt is quite disturbing!
But thank you for helping me learn the piano!
TERRIBLE APP 1/5
this app is garbage dont download
Don’t get 1/5
So I got this thinking it would help with my piano, but apparently it costs money in order to get past the beginning . Don’t get if you don’t want to buy.
By cool amazing and fun
Something good about this is that it teaches you how to play piano but you have to pay to actually learn and pay songs and what if someone wanted to play a song and they didn’t have the money??and I want to learn this one song but my mom will not by the free trial why not just have the songs so people do not have to pay I ma very angry and I usual don’t get angry at apps.
Fantastic!! I'm learning to play the piano... it just take a lot of practice.. Love it
Seriously money 1/5
To achieve your dream pay 119 dollars a year um no thanks bye
Please read: Bill monthly instead of annually... 2/5
I don’t mind paying per month, but annually is just too much for most people. I can imagine you having this type of billing as the only charge option initially, but now your app is popular enough that you should be able to give us users a break. I really want the app, but can only afford $10-$15 a month right now, and At the moment I cant pay annually. I’d appreciate this option, thanks for reading.
By AMAZING RYLEIGH1234
This app has taught me so much in like 5:00 minuets and I did not even want to eat my favorite dinner i just wanted to play!😁
Your app was good, I’m deleting it because I’m not wasting my money on a membership to learn how to play piano thank you.
This is amazing 5/5
At first I thought no way I could very play the piano but simply piano helped me! I also thought no way this is free it will charge me to play the piano! But No IT IS COMPLETELY FREE! If you want to learn to play download this app
Nice app! But 3/5
By No password found
I love this app but I had to by premium and it cost a lot! Ask you parents about this because I bought the year trail and we had to pay 100 dollars! So kids ask you parents and make sure your parents be careful of what they buy
Pricing is Unreasonable! 1/5
Developers, it is clear you have a fantastic app! I’ve done my research and it is very obviously one of the best! So for this, I understand your wish for charging some money for access, however I think you should consider charging “per item”. For example, .99¢ for a new popular song, or $3 for a more advanced lesson. Myself and my family and friends have even discussed that we are more likely to pay for apps when it is in amounts like these! Or, perhaps just charge $5 for the app itself and thus give full access! The subscription fee you are asking for is downright unreasonable, and something that I can not afford. The whole reason I downloaded the app was so that I had a easy, cheap option to learn as I am a nursing student in college with minimal time or money to spend in true piano lessons. But with the price you are asking, I might as well get “real” lessons. ☹️ Please consider this! It seems you have many other players who feel the same way. And thus, many NEW players that would hop on board with (mostly) free access!
