Customer Service is AWFUL 1/5
Skillshare, nobody likes reporting an issue to your CS team to only get a canned response bringing up anything but what was initially sent to you. Get it together.
This app makes you sign up for the premium and no refund can be given 1/5
My wife and I both signed up for this app to try it for $14.99. We selected this option upon downloading it. After we downloaded it it charged us $99.99 for a year subscription and iTunes or Skillshare will not respond to give a refund. SCAM
Great Classes! 5/5
Cost me thousands and thousands to complete six years of college! Skillshare has taught me more at such a lower cost! I could of traveled the globe with the savings.
By Karen Designer
I love Skillshare! I am new to Adobe Illustrator and when I get stuck on something or want to learn about a new skill I use Skillshare to take me to the next level.
Amazing 🙌🏼💯💯 5/5
Great to learn a new skill everybody needs this 💯🔥
AWESOME APP 5/5
This is an amazing app for upcoming artist or anything else. It’s awesome!!
Just a little lacking 4/5
I like the idea of Skillshare-the class content is great and constantly evolving, the amount of videos and topics is almost overwhelming lol..the app could use some work. I have tons of saved classes and no way to sort through them. Also, I would REALLY like a functional Roku TV app. I hate streaming from my phone and watching it on there-I have incredibly bad vision and watching things on my phone screen (which is an iPhone plus, so not the smallest screen) puts a lot of strain on my eyes. I was able to find a free screen mirroring service to stream to my Roku but it wasn’t the easiest to use and was loaded with ads. My free trial will be up in the beginning of April and I would really like to sign up for an annual subscription but I just can’t justify the cost for something I can’t stream directly to my tv, limiting my ability to really use the service. As of now I have probably 50 classes saved to my list and have only been able to watch maybe 5 of them since I signed up in January, because as I said, the strain on my eyes is too much. Please add a Roku TV app or the ability to mirror directly from the Skillshare app to any tv!
Great Resource for the Proactive and Hungry Mind 5/5
By Peter woof woof
If you are proactively trying to learn skills then this app is just what u are looking for. The videos are dense so it will require your full attention(not like a podcast where u can listen while u run or do other work), but it’s great because u can watch them on the go with phone app. There are a lot of different topics and the information is much more professional than YouTube.
Some people enroll in classes at community college, they are the weak ones. Take control of your own education, no credits, no schedules, no bs. The only one who will be patting you on the back is yourself. If you are actually ready to learn, just do it.
App improves regularly! 5/5
I’m a huge fan of Skillshare. The ability to watch as many classes you want on a subscription basis is incredible. Now that the app is catching up to the functionality of the website, you can have classes on the go. Definitely worth investing the time and $$$ into.
Fabulous way to learn. 5/5
By Sindy PL
Hooked! I’ve reclaimed my ‘Lost on social ‘ time and taken myself to school! I am thrilled with the results and progress that I’ve made and the personal communication that can be had w the artist teachers!
Great program app incomplete 3/5
I really enjoy skillshare, but the app still lacks a lot of functionality of the website. It still has its uses, but a lot of content attached to the lessons is missing. Hopefully they will increase the functionality on the app and I will update review when that happens
I’m learning more on this app and site then at my university. plus, the diversity of content (Everything from Photoshop, to Exercise, to Management) I no longer need to “fake it till I make it” because I have the guidance and structured resources to learn anything at my fingertips.
Learning made easy 5/5
I love Skillshare especially the group projects,
Thanks for being innovative and helpful, i would love to have more time and take more classes at a time , all relevant , all new and useful to progress in life and business
App is a scam 1/5
Downloaded the free trial back in January (2months I believe) and as my usual when I start a free trial I cancel the subscription to not be charged the full amount until I’m satisfied. Now the trial is over and I was charged the annual fee $100!. In their fine print is said transactions are not refundable. I feel like they and Apple inc. are not helping to resolve this issue
I love it 5/5
LOVE skillshare!!! 5/5
Being able to learn just about anything from the comfort of ones home and at a time that fits ones schedule is just a few reasons of what I love about skillshare!
Skillshare has given me the freedom to be able to make my dreams come true! The teachers I find on skillshare are a joy to learn from and keep me wanting to pursue my goals and to try something new that maybe I otherwise wouldn't have tried.
I highly recommend skillshare!
DO NOT USE 1/5
So I did the free trial version and canceled it cuz I did not like it then tried to remove my card from the account now I hearing about people being billed despite deleting their account and canceling their sub
Cost effective online learning 5/5
Been a member for years. I learn a lot from Skillshare and have been using it to expand and improve my skill set in order to gain more fruitful and fulfilling employment. Instead of watching tv I’ll pop on a skillshare class and learn instead. Game changer!
Very thorough tutorials 5/5
I was impressed that the tutorials are spaced out in 5-10 minute lessons for ease and the tutorials are very helpful.
Skillshare needs to take its own classes on app design 1/5
Website isn’t too bad. App is terribad. No category search and video player UI leaves you about 10% of of the bottom of the screen to scroll and navigate through a menu of lessons obviously designed for the web. All but unusable on IOS.
Fake free trial 1/5
This is so not cool, my free trial isn’t even done yet and I already got charged $99? Why mislead the public like this? Never signing up for these free trials again lesson learned the hard way.
Good but could be better 3/5
The content is great, but the app could be better. There could be better tagging to enhance the search result quality. The video often freezes. Sometimes the same lesson repeats itself instead of moving to the next one. It often starts a lesson from the beginning instead of picking up where you left off.
Saves the Day! 5/5

The best app for learning and fine tuning your craft. Worth every penny. Excellent instructors.

Great website but app has many bugs and needs improvements 1/5
I pay $15 a month because Skillshare clearly is a great place for people who want to learn continuously. However, the app leaves a lot to be desired. I have used the app on my android phone and my iPad, both have their own challenges. On my android phone, I STILL can’t get to access my downloads section and it keeps loading. Despite the multiple responses I got from Skillshare about troubleshooting, nothing seems to work. This is more than disappointing especially because I want to watch the classes during my commute when I don’t have good data on my phone and want to access downloads.
On my iPad, every now and then when I seek in a video, the video gets hung although the audio is still going on in the background and it’s really ANNOYING to have to close the app every other time I want to seek in a video. It’s a terrible experience with these bugs.
When it comes to actual features, there is a lot that many other reviewers have covered, but one of the most annoying things I have come across is that the video UI is inconsistent on the iPad. When you rotate the screen and use the non-maximum version of the video screen, the screen size changes every time, pretty inconsistent and the only working space you have to access/switch between different chapters within the class is about an inch!!!!! Please fix these issues first, it only seems compelling that you should spend more UX, PM resources on your app since there are so many new, amazing classes being added to Skillshare on a daily basis, you need this to sustain your user base.
Great service but app could use changes 4/5
Great, truly but I wish there was better organization and search for the videos you’ve saved or downloaded. I have over 400 videos saved for a range of topics and trying to find what class or video I want is a pain.
That aside, I’m am getting value and I’m so happy. Classes are generally short, concise and I’m completing the end result very quickly instead of weeks like typical classes, which feels really good. Thanks Skillshare!
Muy excelente app
Great for learning 5/5
I have been using Skillshare for only a few days now and have already taken multiple courses on film production and photography. There is something for everyone on Skillshare. It offers an extremely wide variety of skills taught by some great instructors. I would highly recommend this app.
Love spending my extra time on the bus learning instead of YouTube browsing
I am a homeschooling mom and I love that I can use the classes for my kiddos. They can learn how do so many neat things, which is great considering they both love to be creative.
Learning so many things 5/5
Learning is something I've always loved. There are so many things in the world that I've always wanted to play with and learn about and skillshare has helped me start that process. It's so much fun and useful for my work, my hobbies, and just for fun.
Best app for learning 5/5
There is something for everyone on this app. I use it almost everyday.
Amazing teachers! 5/5
I have been using Skillshare for quiet some time now, like almost over 4 years, I feel like my design and illustration skills have evolved tremendously! It’s an investment, it’s more than an app!
Want to recommend for iPad users but can’t 2/5
First, no split screen? Also, the app doesn’t allow you organize your courses, so it’s just a jumbled mess... all these small things add up and are ultimately going to keep me from purchasing a subscription.
Worst Apple TV App 1/5
By M. Deier.
I’ve been a subscriber on and off for a few years. The teachers, teaching and video quality, and overall content is pretty good and constantly improving. Which is great. I wish I could give a better rating, but the app itself is the problem. The app on the iPhone and iPad is limiting. And it is THE WORST App on my Apple TV. I can’t see all my saved videos and whenever I try to “enroll”, the app crashes. And why do you have to enroll on the Apple TV when you don’t need to on any other device? In order to “enroll” in a class, I need to watch a few episodes on my iOS device and then sometimes it’ll appear on my Apple TV. I don’t want to have to do that and I shouldn’t. I’ve been dealing with this for months and no update. And yes, I’ve closed the app, made sure everything is up to date, restarted the Apple TV, uninstalled and reinstalled. Sometimes it’s better, sometimes it’s worse. I know it’s the App and not user or the device error. Please fix this problem. It’s aggravating. I never fill out reviews of Apps on the App Store, but this is so bad, I felt I needed to.
Great videos but app needs a lot of work 1/5
I recently downloaded this app for my Apple TV and signed up for the 30 day trial of premium membership. When I open the app I was excited to see the number of videos and content available on the site. However every time I went to enroll in one of the classes the app crashed and sent me back to the home screen. I then went on my home computer and iPad to see if I can enroll there and then play the videos on my Apple TV. There doesn’t seem to be an enroll option on the website itself you can play all the video there directly. With Apple TV app it locks out all the videos except the intro into you enroll in the class which can only be done through the app. I went to see if there were any updates to the app that I could download but was informed I had the latest version. I will be canceling the subscription before the month is over if these issues are not resolved.
App is the best 5/5
This is a great app with no crashes or glitches! I love to watch all my classes on Skillshare on my phone, Ipad, as well as my desktop computer without the feeling of starting my classes over because the app keeps up with my starting point as well as my ending! Kudos to this app and the people who made it!
It’s great! Hope they expand! 4/5
By Taira S
Tried this out for a little while and thought it had a lot of easy to follow classes, a fairly easy to use app layout, and a great concept. Classes are added all the time so I hope they expand and add more topics for more languages, different art mediums, etc. But I really wanted to write a review to say their customer service and support are really fast and friendly! I had a little problem with my account it was resolved almost immediately!
Private tutors 4/5
I feel like I have a variety of person tutors and I can decide if I want to work(play) today or put class on on hold. I can also choose review things I’m no feeling confident about or to study late into the night if I’m “on a roll”!
I especially enjoy “meeting” all the different personalities and the encouragement that each teacher gives.
Good but wish it was better 3/5
The content is amazing and I’m learning so much but for $15/month I should be able to cast it to my tv and watch the videos anywhere I want. It’s crazy to me that for a product with so many helpful tip videos the app has such a poor user experience. I can’t edit my lists in the app there isn’t a very clean way within the app to organize the classes I want to watch which seems a shame with something with so much content and more coming everyday there’s not a good way to really sift through it all.
The app almost seems like it’s designed to be a one off kind of thing like use the free trial and be done there’s no incentive to keep it long term because it doesn’t make it easily accessible long term. If I want to watch 15-20 different classes there’s no way to find the one I want besides sifting through my watch later list. It’s sad that the website is the only way to manage your content like what’s the point of even having the app if it’s just completely inferior to the website in every way.
I want to be able to cast to my tv and organize my classes it really doesn’t seem like a whole lot to ask if I’m paying a premium price for content in 2019 it’s not like the service is free. I mean I pay less for Netflix/Hulu and I can cast with both of those. All in all great content dumb app?
Maybe the developers of the app can watch a video on Skillshare about app design?
Who Knew?? 5/5
Who knew I could learn graphic design online for free?!?!?! I can tell you that until last it wasn’t me! I am so excited about this opportunity and the content I am learning. The quality of the videos I’ve seen so far are great and the speaker I’m listening to now also does a great job at explaining and teaching the content. And the great part is that I can have this quality of education and it’s free!
Love this app.. 5/5
There’s tons of good info about anything, to me totally worth it to pay full membership..
I totally Recommend this app for any one who wants to learn something different.
Just give it a try and you’ll never regret.
Beyond Ecstatic about Skillshare! 5/5
I am beyond ecstatic that I discovered Tom Bilyeu online from which I then discovered SKILLSHARE!!! Thank you to Skillshare and the contributing experts for providing the most VALUABLE content/education (that previously would’ve cost $$$$$$)...for pretty much nothing! I have taken advantage of sooo many opportunities to encourage people to checkout Skillshare and will continue doing so! -OBsessed!
For the price it is wonderful 5/5
I’m am an ‘knowledge junky’. If I could afford it I would go to college full time. This is the next best thing. I love it.
SkillShare is the best 5/5
The best self learning app around. Easy to use and one can find many interesting subjects!! Keep up with the great work 👍
Doesn’t stay logged in 3/5
Love the app, but I have to re-log in every time I reopen the iPad app. Frustrating.
I love the classes, the app could use work 4/5
This is an amazing resource and I love the variety of classes available. However I think the app can be frustrating. It wont keep my signed in so I can see my account (just when I open it and was to browse the app) or I don’t have the full use of seeing things. I hope the app functionality improves but otherwise this is a FANTASTIC place to learn.
Sign in problems 2/5
Downloaded the app, wanted to do the $99/yearly & it wouldn’t let me sign up or log in. Sketchy to me. Uninstalled
By C. Lantro
Just started using the app. So far love the app buuuuut... It looses a star because the one thing I wish with the app could do is cast. Maybe I’m just missing the icon and it’s user error, but I could not find a way to send to my tv which I think would make me use it more.
Love Skillshare 5/5
The app is very easy to use and navigate and the offerings are extensive.
