SkyView® Lite app reviews

  • It’s all relative(!,?) 4/5

    By idea_filter377
This is opening my mind. 1st where’s home? We’ll start with temperate zone, country, and recently noticing planet. “Time is in there somewhere.” I’m all relative in this growing “and changing” experience. Always having the ability of a clear sky makes me more curious. Have a nice night wherever and whenever you are.
  • Love it! 5/5

    By Spider monkey 🐒
When I was using a different app it was giving me a lot of trouble with the location and set up. With this app it’s quick and easy. Love that they add facts for free too!!! (PS. NOT A ROBOT OR PAYED AT ALL (NOT SARCASM) BELIEVE ME!!!!! 😥😂)
  • Best app 5/5

    By Hit Khoikhoi
Perhaps I use the básica version it's incredible
  • Love it 5/5

    By Rylee Westenskow
I love this app!! I haven’t learned more about the stars, constellations , and planets in my entire life. This app is super useful and fun!! If you love the stars, and everything to do with space then you will love this app.♥️ I love the stars and universe!!
  • Great performance for free app 5/5

    By Scatmandylan
SkyView Lite is stellar. It provides an augmented reality that shows planets of our solar system, the famous constellations (Orion, Ursa Minor and Major, Virgo, Libra, etc.), the Hubble telescope, the ISS, and many other stars. The stars and planets each have a charted course in reference to the Earth’s rotation and time. When a star or planet or object is tapped, it provides general information about the tapped object and can be expanded upon with an upward swipe, with a detailed picture and detailed information. Although these pictures aren’t 3D renderings that you can turn and observe, as is the case with many other apps. Aside from that, only the main solar system’s planets are shown, as well as only “important” stars. This is okay, however, because if all the stars were to be shown, then the screen would show nothing but. This app is certainly a great performing app, especially for one that is free.
  • Music 1/5

    By Miffed!!!!!
Since the app was last updated, the music doesn’t play. I’ve tried every setting I could possibly think of, but no dice. I can only assume the update made it so you have to buy the upgrade to hear the music now. I can’t think of anything else. If I’m right, it’s a dirty trick 👎🏻!!!!
  • AWESOME 5/5

    By DiDi799
Guys it's so accurate and cool! Perfect for telescope viewing. Just note that there are some excessive extra purchases...

Didn’t calibrate and don’t know how to make it calibrate. Any suggestions?? Other people have it and said it calibrated itself. Mine doesn’t work. ????
  • Needs one improvement 4/5

    By jshaws
This app is a lot of fun but I can’t give it 5 stars unless they add Pluto to it.

  • Way more than just stars 5/5

    By 2swiss
Honestly only downloaded this app thinking it has had stars. It wasn’t til my 3rd or 4th time going on the app that I saw venis. Just so happens venis was visible by the naked eye that day!!!! This app will have you doing 360s and going upside down looking at the universe from earths perspective!!!! I never ever write reviews but I have been on the app for like 45 mins so I have to compliment the creators.. ps I have never been so excited to look up or down at the stars lol
  • I don’t think this is right... 2/5

By Boom1172 for instance has Jupiter in Scorpio but while I look thru the app it is in libra.... so what’s the deal? It seems to me from what I can find elsewhere it is in fact in Scorpio... The calibration seems kooky, I have good service on a new iPhone, Lame cause I’d really like to use this app and would buy upgrades too if I could trust it wouldn’t be lame, sorry but I gotta give it a 2....
  • I LOVE IT 5/5

    By Ashcat212
This app is absolutely beautiful. There are so much fanisating things to look at. Only downside, was the fact that I could only see 5 planets. Although the app can quite exquisitely track the planets/stars movement. Anyways! This app is AWESOME! And I will be severely recommending it to everyone I interact with in the foreseeing future.😊
  • Nice 5/5

  • I find it fascinating 5/5

    By Bitty Gurl11
this app is amazing, often makes me comprehend my place and existance in the universe, its interesting to see where the planets are in the sky, even in the day time... it allows me to easily see patterns in the sky, helps me learn and i can use alot of words to explain this app but im too lazy to lol

  • Breath taking 5/5

    By Brinad56
I walk to work in the morning and was wondering what those two stars named. I installed the app, opened it up, pointed to the objects and literally gasped at the beautiful images on my phone. I highly recommend this app!
  • Skyview deserves 20 stars!! 5/5

    By gma teacher
I’m a teacher, it’s such a and easy way to show little ones what’s outside the world.
  • Very easy to use 4/5

    By WestTraveller
I used to use SkyOrb for star viewing. It has become clunky with newer versions. Now i try out SkyView. It is so easy to use, very smooth ,both on my iPad and iPhone. I like it!
  • Impressive 4/5

    By Justpickonedamnit
I installed this app on my Old iPad2 about a year ago. Was impressed with it then. Since my daughter gave me her old iPhone 5s I figured I’d give it a try. Much much more accurate and way better. Minimal ads, good features, would be well worth the upgrade as well.
  • Advertising on the main screen? 1/5

    By supermonzon at gmail
Great app, but then trash pops up on the screen, and if on night mode, the ads are shown in full brightness to ruin the experience. I am deleting this. There are several other apps that show the stars very nicely and I won’t put up with stupid ads.
  • Joy 5/5

    By jhansvoice
I felt a sincere joy while using this app abroad on trips out of the states. I was able to take in a new field of view.
  • Explore your surroundings! 5/5

    By Ali.P.S.
I love being able to open this app whenever I see a star or constellation that I want to know more about or become familiar with. I’ve used this app on and off for a few years now but in the last few months with so much more dark time in the northern hemisphere, I have used it almost daily. I like to quiz myself and the app helps me grade my responses. I also use it to teach my two year old about the wonders in the night sky. We love it! Her favorite star: Vega. My favorite star(s): The winter triangle; Sirius, Betelgeuse, and Procyon. I love the option to display or hide constellation lines or artwork, and love that I can either show or hide the actual surroundings that my camera can see. This app is great, I highly recommend it. There’s almost nothing I would change about it except maybe if there was a way to add a link in the facts area of a selected object to either the Wikipedia page or some other information source for further knowledge exploration.
  • Disappointing... cool but ads on the moon! 1/5

    By jj-francophone
Really ... turning app towards the moon causes some friggin woman’s ad to show up and we cant remove! Friggin weird... if you like space, dont bother with this app.
  • Love it 4/5

    By Joeys angel
I have so much fun looking at the sky
  • Didn’t work 1/5

    By Ashkicker911
Downloaded app and went outside and it didn’t do anything. No stars, planets or even the moon was recognized... useless app

  • Sky View 5/5

    By Dancer009
We absolutely love this app. It’s so amazing to bite the stars and planets and be able to read facts about them. Thank you for creating this app. 😍
  • Not very accurate 2/5

    By Pottsieeeee
I was hoping to use this app to see the sunrise but it wasn't accurate enough for that. Being that it's free I guess that's what you get though.
  • Absolutely Fantastic!! I Love this app... 5/5

    By rwkspk
This is so enlightening... Get this app.,
  • Wow 4/5

    By 96748
This app is pretty cool. And it’s free
  • Educational 5/5

    By Military Brat-Japan
I always like to learn something new. This app is one of my favorites.
  • Fantastic 5/5

    By rdbdlb
Great for all ages especially children.
  • Premium version no work 1/5

    By Startrekman75
I purchased premium version and one part of app says waiting on developer and will not load but asks for camera and that part of the app will not let me leave a review so I think it’s kinda fishy. And I found out app has been waiting 3 years for Developers. 😳😕
  • Nice App 4/5

    By Astro49
Pretty good for beginners. Nice graphics, low on tech. Nice and has amazed a few of my friends. Don’t care for the fiction, but if it gets folks looking up it’s ok.
  • Already ??? 4/5

    By reneewoods
Just started to enjoy this app and cannot find a constellation. With in the app I was informed of the constellation Lynx saying it’s a neighbor to Cancer. Couldn’t find by looking around and it’s not even an option in the search field. Wonder what else it’s missing? But, love the concept.
  • Great app 5/5

    By Apollo5150
Gonna use it tonight to see the meteor shower. Woooohoooo. Thank you. Enjoy the sky everyone. Wherever you are on the earth.
  • Easy to use and interesting 5/5

    By ebedeeb
Very easy to use, just point into the sky and the whatever is there is clearly identified in the screen
  • Death Star Confirmed 1/5

    By Ahhshkshakihelao
There is no Neptune, Uranus, or Pluto. Therefore they have been destroyed by the one and only Death Star. #FirstOrderWins P.S. Would have rated 5, but Death Star destroyed 4 of the stars #RIPStars
  • Amazing 5/5

    By Anihic
I am very pleased with this app. It’s probably one of the best apps I have seen. Even the free version is enough to teach kids (and adults too) about stars, constellations, planets and other objects and their positions in the sky. I highly recommend it.
  • App Review 5/5

    By GartT987654321
    Great app
  • I don't care about Artemis. That's not why I have this app. 1/5

    By Harry123HOD
I am disappointed that the functionality of this app was compromised by advertising from Artemis/Audible/Andy Weir. It makes SkyView significantly less useful as an educational tool for those interested in astronomy. This is absolutely the wrong use of augmented reality. If anyone ends up thinking that there really is a colony of smugglers fighting against some rich people on the moon, it will be on your heads. For shame.
  • Be simplified 5/5

    By JJ14u2nv22
Simply amazing to be so close without being lost in travelers wonder
