Will update when watch compatibility returns. 1/5
I love this app. The watch compatibility has never failed to wake me up when I need to wake up. Until today. Imagine my surprise when I wake up to discover the app was removed from my watch overnight? And that it was an intended part of the most recent update was mind boggling. I certainly agree that there has been a need for a redesign on the watch version, but it was working just fine yesterday and every day before that. I don’t understand why the existing version couldn’t have been left alone while a newer version was worked on. It’s a bit more than a minor inconvenience on our (the users) end. And a highly unnecessary one at that. Please consider rolling this back for now; give us the awesome new version once it’s ready but let us keep using the existing reliable version in the meantime. My review would have been 5* if not for this, and once the watch app comes back I will change the review.
Love this app! 5/5

I use sleep cycle every night since I struggle with sleeping regularly, (or rather used to). When I say I struggled, I mean I would go to sleep at 3-5am and then wake up at 3 or so pm, continuously throughout the week. I missed a lot of classes in college due to my sleep schedule. I’ve used this app a while ago and it didn’t seem to work that well, but I decided to give it another shot and it’s worked very well this time around.
I’m still trying to transition into a proper sleep schedule so I still wake up relatively tired, but my sleep quality has been increasing over the past week so I’m hopeful. Compared to my stubborn alarm clock that just makes me want to slam it, this app wakes me up when I’m the least angry, so it does the job of actually getting me up a lot better. I recommend this app to anyone struggling with sleeping, because I tell you, I used to be one of the worst sleepers ever, and this has actually helped.
Apple Watch Gone? I Want My Money Back. 1/5
I renewed my subscription for another year not long ago and now the main feature, the watch haptic alarm, is gone? I couldn’t be more disappointed as I’m getting ready to sleep tonight. I never leave negative reviews but this is unacceptable. Bring back the feature or give me my money back. That’s basically stealing 30 bucks from me.
Watch app disappeared 😤 2/5
By The Real Bill Bradley
I need the watch app to help me wake up by vibrating on my wrist since I have a hearing disability. The watch app just vanished last week with no warning. I will just need to go back to the old standard alarm. Shame.
Sleep Cycle 1/5
By Diane LB
I attempted to cancel the subscription in the allowable time to avoid being charged. I was charged before the time limit expired. I spent over an hour trying to request a refund or simply cancel the the subscription and it was impossible. I will never purchase another app with an automatic renewal.
No longer supports Apple Watch 1/5
I’ve been using this app for years, over 1100 nights logged. I loved the silent alarm feature that uses a watch vibration to wake me up and not wake up my wife. Once this feature returns I will happily change my review.
No more Apple Watch support? 1/5
I used to love this app, but with the latest update dropping Apple Watch support I’m canceling my subscription...
Best sleep tracker out there. But watch app vanished! 4/5
By NYC Jason
I’ve been using this app for a solid four years and it keeps getting better. It’s given me insight into my sleep patterns, helped me get to bed earlier and is the best way I’ve found to wake up in the morning. (I’m not a morning person at all, so that’s really saying something!)
My favorite addition was the watch app, which is the only alarm that wakes me up consistently. However, with the most recent update (6.1) the watch app is gone, which is why I’m giving four stars instead of five. I don’t see it on the watch, or as an option in the phone’s Watch App to even install it. Where did it go?? I’ve come to rely on it daily so please don’t make me go back to the days of setting three different alarms in the morning.
No matter how many times I turn the app off or set it to measure sleep only without an alarm, it still goes off at 6/6:30 on weekends!
Good, but a few quirks 5/5
For the most part, this application works well on an iPad. However, there have been a few times when it thought I was asleep, but I wasn't. The interesting thing is that it warns that it might not work on a memory foam mattress, which is what I have, but it works pretty well. This disclaimer is why I'm not too concerned about the occasional mistake.
I'm most interested in finding my sleeping patterns so I can determine the optimum times to go to sleep & to wake up. So far, I have been able to detect some basic patterns that I think will aid me in this endeavor.
Something I would like to see changed concerns the alarm. I would like to be able to preview the sounds and the volume levels before the time comes for them to wake me. I've only been able to handle setting the exact time for the alarm to sound rather than let it try to find the optimum wake-up moment because I am such a light sleeper that I wake up at the first sound. This can be a real bother to my system if the sound is too loud or not "gentle" to my sleeping mind. It's also annoying if it is 1/2 an hour before I need to wake up, which is the default time to begin sounding the alarm.
I like the most recent update's added features. Many of the charts could be very useful, but I think it would be better if I could add the notes after I wake up. Sometimes my sleep is affected by something that occurs after I've already started the alarm & started to sleep.
2019 September: You’ve been listening! Thank you so much! I can now adjust the notes after I wake up. I also really like how I can easily flip between no alarm, alarm within a set wake-up time (I like 20 minutes), and alarm at the wake-up time. This app just keeps getting better.
pretty good! 5/5
i’ve been using sleep cycle for years. i have to say, this new update where it calculates how much sleep you got vs. how much time you were in bed, is amazing... or, it would be if it worked. the second your graph dips any slight amount, sleep cycle immediately believes that’s it. even if it jolts back up one minute later and shows it on the graph, the “time asleep” doesn’t seem to understand that
EDIT: it works if you use motion capture rather than microphone capture!
No warning about removing features 2/5
I do not have automatic updates turned on for this exact reason. You removed the AW app without putting it in the change log. That was how I woke myself up before my sleeping baby in our room. Thanks for ruining the app experience for me and forcing me to abandon this app. Please at least tell us that you will be pulling the AW app. For others do not update if you use the AW app.
FEATURE REQUEST 5/5
Kudos to the developers, wonderful well-made app that positively impacts my well-being.
One feature request: it would be wonderful to have a fourth screen (besides wake-up window, hard alarm, and no alarm): duration. You put in how many sleep cycles or minutes you want to sleep e.g. I want to SLEEP 9 hours (not be in bed for 9 hours) exactly on the weekend, regardless of the time. I can do the math for roughly 9 hours ahead of time before I go to bed but this doesn’t account for how long it actually takes to fall asleep. The 30 minute window is nice but sometimes I toss and turn for an hour and I have to open my phone and redo the math.
Please take this into consideration. Thank you so much and keep up the good work!
I used to swear by this... 3/5
This had been my favorite app for about two years. I could have been a marketing rep with all the people I persuaded to use this ap. This ap was the first one I opened every day to see how I slept. ...Then came the most recent update. The visuals were improved but the accuracy went way down.
What happened. It used to know when I was asleep, awake, tossing and turning, or up to use the bathroom. Now it seems to just guess. How did the app get less smart with the latest update? It saddens me because this was my favorite app, now I can’t take it seriously.
Latest update removes the Apple Watch app without notice. 3/5
Let me first say I’ve been using sleep cycle since 2014. Overall it’s the best sleep monitoring app I’ve found. However.....
The latest update has removed the Apple Watch features. It just disappeared without warning. You need to search the website for a reason. So if the watch feature is important don’t update.
Now this is still a solid sleep monitoring app. It’s convenient, easy to use, and can help you track / adjust behaviors that impact your sleep. I’ve adjusted my rating from 5 stars to 3 because this is a feature they should still have. Others have solved the issues and they have it in their other app. I hope the Apple Watch comes back. Soon
Past updates have been glitchy 1/5
The current one says I need to turn on my location, although it is set to while using. The last one would randomly shut off in the middle of the night. I do not like the new layout at all. The old layout was superior.
Watch app! 2/5
How did you not anticipate the watchOS 6 changes? A sleep tracker needs a watch app.
Shuts off notifications 1/5
I don’t like that this app controls notifications for messaging. I still want to have those and since installing and using this app I don’t get a sound when messages come in. This should be my option and not controlled by the app that charges a subscription fee.
Recent update removed Apple Watch app 3/5
Works well, but the last version removed support for the Apple Watch. Too bad, I thought the vibration of the watch worked best for waking up.
What happened to the watch app? 4/5
So all of a sudden in the newest update, the watch app is gone.
Apple Watch app???! 3/5
Where did the Apple Watch app go?
Where is Apple Watch app?? 1/5
Why did they remove Apple Watch app without listing in the changelog ! That would have warn users :( would not have updated if I had know otherwise
Used to be great ! No Apple Watch support ! Kills the battery ! And really not much insightful info !
You’ve lost a customer ! SleepWatch is miles ahead. !
I'd prefer a watch app 3/5
The Hue integration is nice when it works, but sometimes it just doesn't and I wake up annoyed. A watch app where I get a silent alarm would be much better and I don't have to worry about whether my phone can be close enough, which is not always possible.
Let me down 1/5
Not one to write reviews or anything but in my opinion if an alarm clock app fails to alarm up to 3 times. It’s going in the garage. And that’s exactly what this app has done. Other than that it’s a great app
Bring back watch app! 3/5
The recent changes to remove all watch support eliminated my favorite thing about the app! An alarm that didn’t wake your partner while providing useful data was 5 stars, but now we’re back to square one.
Have Been Using It for Several Years 4/5
I love this app. I would have appreciated a warning or head’s up that the watch app would be deleted.
Please work on reinstating it. I would be willing to go Premium for it. It’s the best way to wake up without waking up my wife.
Thanks for your consideration.
Why remove watch app? 1/5
Bring back the watch app please! Thank you.
Love + request 5/5
By BusyStudent 1846
Quite like this app. I like that I can put in different tags to see how they correlate with (not necessarily cause) bad sleep. I’ve found that factors that contribute most to a high quality score are stretching before bed and using my weighted blanket.
I stopped using the alarm feature except as a backup on weekends - it takes me 5-6 alarms to get me up and I wanted that to be factored into my sleep analysis since it’s something I’m working on. I’m aware of the snooze feature but had too many instances of sleep-me shutting the alarm off, so I use my regular phone alarm to get me up and sleep cycle just to track.
However, lately it seems the red banner at the top hasn’t been there in the mornings, so I’ll forget to turn it off when I get out of bed. This ruins everything because the last two hours are measuring me walking around the house/to work. I delete these days since they’re inaccurate.
Is there any way to edit the time frame of the measurement afterwards?
No WatchOS Integration 2/5
Been using this app as a premium user along with WatchOS for almost 2 years, but now the watch app is gone along with my desire to continue use of this app.
Do NOT download !!!! 👹👹👹👹👹 1/5
By Pedro Prdko
It is draining battery whole night. Damaged my battery and had to replace for $70.
No more Apple Watch integration 4/5
The primary reason I used this app was for use with gentle wake using my Apple Watch, as my charger is deliberately away from my bed. The developers have stated that new iOS restrictions prevent them from doing a watch app. It’s a shame, and I’m not sure there’s anything else that will do sleep tracking with the watch. Back to Pebble!
What happened to the Apple Watch app? 1/5
By Let's get caffeinated
I am very concerned as I have been using the app on my Apple Watch for a few months now and today it was gone!
Watch OS6 1/5

Why isn’t compatible with watch OS 6 anymore?
Good, but same alarm sounds since 2010!!! 2/5
By JPizzel DoJJ
Hi, please add more alarm sounds. It is very annoying to wake up under the same sounds. It’s demotivating for sure...
Where is Apple Watch app???
Don’t get Doesn’t work 1/5
By ill tell you straight up
I paid money to wake up on time I set my timer for 6:30 and woke up at 8:00making me late to school
Sometimes it simply doesn’t work. 3/5
I have used this app for years, but there was a time last year where I stopped using it because it would fail to sound an alarm, and I wake up to 40 notifications saying that I snoozed it. I didn’t. What’s worse is that it takes over your phone in a way that prevents backup alarms from going off. I stopped using it, but restarted a couple months ago because the wake up feature is nice, but today it did it again so I will just suffer through old school alarms because I cannot be late.
Timing of cycle 3/5
There’s one thing that the app does that doesn’t make sense. I set a time for going to sleep. The app starts my sleep time the same every night even though I don’t go to sleep then.
It varies as to what time I go to sleep. There needs to be a way for me to click on something to let it know the time I do go to sleep.
The wake up time works perfectly.
Can something be done about this?
I’ve tried other sleep apps, but this one is the simplest one but does me no good.
Stops Working in Middle of Night 1/5
I've used this app for my morning alarm for years, but recently the app has been quiting in the middle of the night, which makes it so my alarm doesn't go off! I've been late to work twice because of this I'm done with this app.
Fixed my sleeping habits. Game changer 5/5
By The social scientist
I downloaded this on a whim but before I started using this app my sleep schedule was all over the place and I had very bad sleeping habits from sleeping all day or napping too frequently to not getting much sleep at all and always going to bed at weird hours causing me to feel sleepy throughout the day and grumpy because I was either getting too much sleep or not enough. This app changed that for me and has been the best tool for making my day better and my nights amazing. This app motivates me to go to bed at a reasonable hour and meet my goal of 7-8 hours a night. At first my average was 4-5 hours of not great sleep. Then after I got my week in sleep grade average I was shocked! I was getting sleep, yes, but the sleep I was getting was horrible and not benefiting me in anyway. This motivated me to bring that average up and start sleeping at least 6 hours a night, then slowly up to 7, I’m currently working on getting up to 8 a night. It’s changed my days. I am up early and I feel amazing and recharged, I have more time to do things and I’m not horribly tired. I get to bed at a reasonable hour and I wake up early. This app has made me a morning person. I am so much healthier and happier using this app. I also love the alarm and its various choices, the weather feature is awesome, and the wake up noise is so pleasant. No more loud dreaded alarm clocks. If you’re someone who has trouble sleeping, getting good sleep, or just wants to meet your sleep goal this app is amazing. I look forward to seeing my average go up as I reach my goal of 8 hours a night. This app is a game changer.
Good old days 1/5
I’ve used this app for around three years. Before the “update” it was useful, fun, and interactive. However, many of the features that had previously been free are now only for premium. Scratch that, all of the features are now paid. The snore, stats, comparison, hue, sleep aid, tracker and everything else besides the alarm are now gone. I really miss the old app and will probably delete this one if these issues are not fixed. I am extremely disappointed in this soulless cash-grab of an alarm.
Charges $30 without consent 1/5
I was charged for the year subscription even though it said I would get a free month trial first and the app support is “down” right now. I did not agree to be charged $30. Wth
I also used to be one of the members who had “lifetime access” to premium for free! And it was unable to recover my access for some reason, even though my email was the same.
Cool, but... 3/5
The concept of this app is cool but it’s not completely accurate. It tells me I fall asleep 3 minutes after laying down which I know is not true. Also, whenever I wake up I do not think it’s during my lightest sleep. I haven’t improved unfortunately while using this app.
Didn’t work for me 1/5
This app did not work for me at all. I was never in light sleep when it went off and was always miserable. Woke my husband up more than it woke me up. I’d say it’s definitely worth it to give it a try because the concept is great, just didn’t work for me.
Please add time till wakeup on sleep screen 4/5
Cool app, however, there is one feature missing or at least I can’t find it.
It’s time till wake up shown on sleep screen. When I set target time when I want to wake up I’d like to how long it will be, calculated automatically, something like “8 hours 35 minutes”.
Please male it available.
Great app, been using for a while but 5/5
By bipity bopity owo
I LOVE this app it is amazing but, I’ve run into a problem, you see, sleep aid was once free and I used it for like 2 day before it was part of premium and now, I can’t turn it off, it’s a little annoying, that’s it, still 10/10
If you want to fix your sleep, get this app! 5/5
I really like this app. I’ve used it for three years now, and it’s really helpful in making me understand and try to fix issues with my sleep. My only - very minor - complaint about the redesign is regarding the sleep aid. I occasionally wake up in the middle of the night and use the sleep aid to fall back asleep. Since the redesign, it takes a few extra steps to get it going again, which means I have to wake my brain up a little more (and that sort of defeats the purpose of sleep aid).
cancel subscription 3/5
Following the instruction, there is no button to cancel subscription in view apple id. I passed one day of trail, and don't wanna be automatically charged again. Please help..
It worked great, now it’s broken 3/5
The last few nights I have had an issue where when I pick up my phone towards when I should be waking up, it says “please open Sleep Cycle to resume analysis”. Sometimes I don’t even get to see this notification because I’m still ASLEEP. And then it won’t actually set off the alarm anyway. The first time it did this was last Wednesday, and I know it did it today again because I was an hour late for work! Please fix this so I don’t have to rely on my awful regular phone alarms
