By what a waste of an app
Consistently 15 to 20 minutes later than their “latest predicted delivery time” and will say on their tracking feature on the app that your food has been delivered when… it has not. Also… customer service reps are pretty dismissive. Changed their reward system recently so even after you have spent $250 dollars U can’t collect your “free pizza” with out spending another $10 dollars. I am deleting app.

Used it to place an order didn’t allow me to track the order via link only on the app. After going through the download and app setup the tracking still wasn’t available. Food was delivered but I wasn’t notified about even after the fact.

Order minimums to get pizza points are too high. Same can be said for order minimums needed to get your free pizza once you’ve earned one. We stopped using.
Confusing Overall Ratings 3/5

Curious how the app has an overall rating of 4.9, as well as a visibly low amount of 1 star reviews. When looking through the ratings at least half (likely more) are 1 star reviews. This holds true no matter how you sort them or how far down you scroll.

I’ve used this app 3 times and I’ve never been notified about any status updates, particularly delivery status. This is very frustrating when the first indication I get that my delivery is here is because the driver is calling me wondering where I am and at someplace where I use this app, it takes me almost 10 minutes to walk to the pickup point. It also sounds like none of my delivery instructions get to the driver so they never find the right driveway. Other than that, I like the reorder function best

Been using this app for over a year. Thinking how cool it is we get free pizza pies. However in one year I have not received one free pizza pie. False advertisement. I use slice because my favorite pizza place uses it! Scammers

The pickup vs delivery option is set before you choose a location, which is not very intuitive. I tried this app out to order from a pizza place near me and it took a solid 5 minutes of wondering why I couldn’t change from delivery to pickup. Finally had to back all the way out and find out it’s set before you choose a location/restaurant. Why?
Also without a promo code you’re getting charged extra fees just to use the app. Pointless, I’ll just call and save a dollar.

My pizza was dropped and completely inedible. And I was only going to get 25% back. Literally t all the toppings were on corner of the box. Absolutely ridiculous. Just so you know it doesn’t matter how incredibly messed up your order is you will not get more than 25% back. Just order directly from the local business.

I ordered from the app slice . I was inclined to order since they offered free delivery. I placed order at 8:40 , estimated delivery time was at 9:20 . Time passes and I reach out to slice … oh they just left the store it will be a few minutes. Went through that 3 times while also trying to cancel the order . Slice would not cancel without authorization from this establishment. They also supposedly close at 9 but at 10:45 we’re still trying to say they would be there soon . Finally slice “got in contact” and it was cancelled . I now await my refund . Bad business for this pizzeria and slice for allowing it .

Ordered a pizza through slice and it came an hour late. Called the restaurant and they said it had been waiting there for a driver to pick it up for an hour. Contacted Slice support and all they wanted to tell me that a driver was en route to the restaurant and was trying to rush me off the phone. Absolutely horrible experience. This was my first time trying to use the app and will probably be my last.

This is great when the stores know how to use it, but more often than not they leave the orders flashing on the table until you come to pick up, which is irritating especially when you’re not a food courier, just a working mom trying to get a Grimaldi’s pizza.

Absolute worst app on any app store, they do not whatsoever care about customer satisfaction, if you call to request a refund guarantee you won’t get it, they are thieves, absolute thieves. I ordered from a place 5 blocks away and tipped like 30%. Ask me why I’ve been waiting 2hrs for my pizza…I called the restaurant because I thought maybe they didn’t get the order and they told me it was picked up 15 minutes ago…I live 2 minutes away..I called customer service and they said Jennifer was 2 to 3 minutes away and that she probably had another delivery or pick up…I’ve been waiting for an additional 20 minutes since the customer service call..still no Jennifer. I ordered per the restaurant’s website and slice picks up the delivery BUT when I go into the app it doesn’t have any info on the order. Even the link sent to my phone doesn’t send me to the order for updates. Now I don’t know where Jennifer is with my 60 dollar order. I’m pretty sure my food is gone or cold or misdelivered or who knows what because these people are garbage at doing one job. Literally have to just drive pick up drive drop off. So dumb. Don’t order through this app it’s worse than grub hub.

I ordered a pizza for the first time in this app. It said it would take 50 minutes for delivery. After an hour I looked at the app and it cancelled the order!! I called the pizza place who said they Weren’t even open when the app took the order. So I have no pizza and a house of guests on a holiday. Thanks Slice. Oh and 1-2 days for refund. Worst. App. Ever.

Great Idea but Deals Don’t Work 1/5

Tried to order pizza from my local shop, Pizza Vienna, and the deals never worked. Id add them but they wouldn’t show up in my cart despite saying it was added. Regular non deals worked fine. This was so frustrating that it actually made me go to a big shop instead which is the opposite off what this app intends.

I ordered a few pizzas for a group of friends I had over last night and the expected arrival was 30-45 minutes. The pizza never showed up and after waiting over 2 hours, they just cancelled. Of course they gave me a refund but no credit or anything and the experience was brutal. I then went to Uber eats and got the same pizza in 30 minutes.
The app itself is easy to use and navigate so kudos to the developers, but not worth using if you want your food on time. Unfortunately would recommend the bigger players like Uber Eats or Grub Hub over this.

I only used this app one time. I placed my order and my money was instantly taken out and then they cancelled my order without a reason. I contacted customer service because the order was cancelled and my money was not refunded and they advised it takes 24-48 hours to refund the money. Customer service was not helpful and not very friendly and was no help. So now, for my daughters birthday I can’t get her the pizza she wanted because now my money is held up in this app for 24 to 48 hours. So I am out the $50 and no pizza for my daughter. They were quick to instantly take the e money but I have to wait to get it back.

Service is terrible. Used twice for delivery and the pizza was cold by the time it finally arrived. Both places are 15 min away and it took over an hour to arrive (exceeding the time communicates in the app). The drivers were not apologetic about being late despite receiving generous tips.

Local pizzeria processes slice app orders lowest priority. I placed a order at 5:24, the app states that the food arrived at 6:20. It is 7:10, and the pizza is nowhere to be found.

This app has the worst customer service I have ever received from a food app. My order was consistently late for the last four orders and they just told me to wait at the restaurant for my food. The restaurant themselves had the order updated to “ready for pickup” and would tell me to wait since they didn’t even start making the food. When I reached out to slice the agent told me there was nothing they could do and when I threatened to reverse the charges from my card they ended the chat. I’m going to stick to GrubHub and DoorDash from now on.

Unsure what the point of using this app is if the customer service won’t help you when your order is over an hour late. They blame the restaurant but Slice lies about delivery times and won’t help you get reimbursed when there’s a huge issue. Disappointing.

I ordered lunch for a bunch of co workers, collected payments, and did not get my food. Apparently I was refunded for those items but slice has incorrect information on pizza shops’ websites. The owner canceled my order saying I wasn’t paying enough. Will not be using this. It’s also cheaper to simply call your order in and not go through slice at all.

Every time I use the Slice app, fraudulent charges appear on my credit card. I wasn’t sure how my credit card number kept getting stolen, but I suspected it was whenever I made a purchase through the Slice app. So, I used a credit card that isn’t tied to anything else and had no other charges on it and bought food through this app. A couple of days later, the same type of fraudulent charge appeared on the card I used in the app, just like it had after all the other purchases I made through Slice.
I immediately deleted the app & called Slice customer service to tell them that my method of payment continually gets stolen when I use their app. Customer service was useless, so I filed a complaint through the BBB. I also posted warnings on every social media that I have. Please, please, please check your methods of payment on Slice for fraudulent charges. And please, please, please beware of Slice’s data breach.

The last two orders I submitted the app changed the order at the end. When I asked customer service to help. They refused. They said they do not give refunds and there was nothing they could do. It used to be a good app it no longer is. I wouldn’t go through this app because of their technical issues and lack of customer service.
