This app is useless. I followed the directions to connect to the vac via WiFi. Phone says it was connected. Never asked me for my router info. I hit next on the app and it says I need to connect to the vac WiFi. Round in circles with no result. Not sure if it is supposed to work better with android. I have iPhone. $900 for a vacuum and can’t use the benefit. Gonna buy a different brand. Don’t waste your money.

First things first, your instructions to set up the washer with the WiFi is wrong. You should have a setup for each Samsung Model because the WiFi never showed up. I’m deleting this app and never using it again.

I downloaded this app to control my Samsung robot vacuum. Created a Samsung account with no problems. There is an obnoxious amount a captcha things you have to decipher during the process to prove your not a robot. When it comes time to connect your phone to the vacuum via WiFi, the app won’t recognize that my phone is connected to the vacuum and I can’t go any further. I usually don’t review apps, but this app is as bad as they say. Waste of time.

I’ve tried using this app many times over the years and it has always sucked - won’t connect, crashed, clunky. It didn’t exactly inspire confidence in Samsung products.
Today I decided to try it again. After launching it a message appeared stating the the app was no longer compatible with my fridge and that I needed to install SmartThings instead. I did, and the new app actually worked. Still has a few clunky things - but it worked.
So go ahead and uninstall this app. Never use it again.

Even one star is too much. Whom ever Samsung hired to write this app never tested it once.
Instructions say to push the SmartControl on the washer and then sign onto that WI-FI network. That part works, but then the app does not go next. In fact the app does not work once you change the network selection to Samsung. Instead it keeps asking you to login again but now you’re on the local Samsung network that’s not using the WiFi!! It’s completely idiotic. You can’t have two WiFi networks at the same time! The idiot that created the app must have known this, it’s 2019 folks, don’t sell products that highlight features created by morons.

This app is crappier than their bloated broken galaxy phones.
It crashed when doing something basic like creating an account.
You need to enter a captcha for everything. It does not detect you connected to the washer even though you absolutely are.
Just pure garbage. Stick to non smart things samsung. You’re horrible at end user software

The app CONSTANTLY asks you to sign. I registered in the app but then it crashed (like others have mentioned). Once I restarted to connect to my range, my iPhone can see and connect to the range’s “WiFi”, but doesn’t display the actual connection icon and thus the app cannot connect to the range. Each and every attempt prompts me to log in again. Ironic that Samsung is known for its high tech, but their app is really low tech.

App is terrible. Can never connect to the Samsung server, says can’t connect to my iPhone, can’t connect to my router, even when I had the extender right next to the washer. Tried re-installing the app. Nope, still bad. Waste of money to buy the adapters

Completely and utterly useless. Following the instructions on the app does. It result in a connection. Just purchased new Felxwash and Flexdry machines. Downloaded the Samsung app for the washer and dryer only to get, “The password is not correct”.
So then I saw this app. I though, “Ok, maybe I just need the updated app.”
Download, instructions say, “Press Smart Monitor button until AP appears”. AP never appears but there is a small WiFi symbol.
Ok, let’s try that.
I connect using the stated, “Five 1’s and five 2’s” password. It connected to the WiFi signal! Great!
Return to the app and press, “Next” and get, “Please connect to washer access point.”
Same thing with the dryer except the dryer access point does NOT say, “Samsung Dryer” but it also shows, “[washer] Samsung”
Fix the app or remove the advertising for connectivity. As far as I’m concerned, it’s false advertising to say the machine will connect to WiFi.
Of course, should I decide to switch to a Samsung mobile device, I’m sure it would be a snap to connect.

Follow the instructions in the app till it gets to the connecting to the washer. My phone says it’s connected, the app says it’s not, even after 4 minutes have gone by. I’ve tried more than once and got nowhere. Either the company doesn’t talk to the company that makes the app, or the app doesn’t talk to anybody..,now I can get my tv to connect, the washer/dryer, nope

Cuando funciona es bastante buena. En las últimas semanas no me dejo usarla y solo me daba un mensaje de q ahora mi producto es compatible con SmartThings. Pero al usar la app no dejaba instalarlo. Y al llamar al servicio técnico me dijeron primero que enviarían a alguien, más al luego yo llamar por q no venía nadie. Me dijeron q por software no enviaban personal. Finamente luego de desinstalar todo si funciona y no se hasta cuando. Samsung buen hardware, mal software.
This app hasn’t worked in months.
And on top of that, the black stainless finish on my year old range that this app is suppose to control, but doesn’t, is peeling off.
Can’t get Samsung to deal with the peeling finish OR this useless app. Won’t even consider purchasing Samsung again.

This worked for about six months, but ever since the last update a week ago I go through a sequence where the app says I need to sign in, I do, and then it says the connection between smart home and the server is down and I need to sign in. Before that it kept on saying that I needed to update my washer and dryer but would never do so.
I also had massive issues with a previous Samsung refrigerator, so I think this will be my last purchase of a Samsung device as it shouldn’t be this difficult to simply work.

If I could give this zero stars, I would. One of the big reasons I bought the Flex washer/dryer was for the app control and notifications. But it only worked for about a week. I have had the units about a month and the app just decided to stop working. It hangs and tells me "connecting to server". I finally got it to tell me my login had expired. But it doesn't let me login again. Just continues hanging at "connecting to server". I know the washer and dryer are connected. Because the wifi button is lit up. Really horrible product from a company that should be on the cutting edge of tech. I'm an Apple die-hard. And this app proves why. I will never buy Samsung phones etc. My other washer/dryer is an LG and the app works perfectly.
If you’re looking for a smart home, it’s not Samsung 1/5
Bought a washer, which as smart care. It says download the Samsung laundry app. This doesn’t exist. I’m forced to use this, which is apparently not comparable with my brand new Samsung washer. What a terrible experience. Will never buy another Samsung product, there are plenty of brands that will work just as well that will actually provide a smart home.

Each event is time tagged to when you read it instead of when it happened. I’ve have the Helpdesk online to resolve by no help. Even the screen shot posted in the App Store showed this bug and that’s a few years old!
If you have Samsung appliances, delete this app and install SmartThings app and you’re better off. At least the notifications worked.

I don’t know what’s going on with this app and this refrigerator but if I paid this amount of money for this frig it supposed to do what I want it to do. It won’t connect together.
iPhone X running IOS12.3. App keeps closing at creation of account. Beyond that, app closes when trying to login. Absolute joke. This is why I have an iPhone and not a galaxy. Good thing, the washer, dryer, and fridge works great. But all the extras with the app are worthless. Don’t buy these appliances based on their WiFi capabilities because you’ll be very upset after spending thousands.
Whom ever made this app should get another hobby. If the true test is “can I make a app more accessible than setting a timer or reminder in my phone” you failed. If your goal was to make you repeatedly log in over and over and over again only to show the devices disconnected and ask you login over and over again with that crappy captcha YOU SUCCEEDED. Pure freaking torture! Get out of software engineering!!!

I’d love to give a review on this app but I can’t even get my account set up. It’s downloaded, I went through all the steps to set up the account and it keeps telling me I haven’t confirmed my account yet. I’ve looked in my inbox and spam folder for an email. I’ve clicked the link to resend the email. I’ve double checked that I don’t have a typo in my email address/login. There is nowhere to click for help. For such a large company they don’t seem to have their act together with this app stuff. Didn’t even know our oven had this capability when we bought it. Just thought I’d download the app and try it. Oh well.

Very poorly designed, looks and feels like it was made for the 3rd gen of iphone. Crashed on my first time opening it, and I can’t even activate my account because the email won’t come through. It’s less of a hassle to just get up and turn your appliance on. This app was made for “convenience” which is a joke because the app is everything but.
All I wanted to do was turn moisture sensor off on my dryer. 🤦🏻♀️

The app is cumbersome, and a pain to get into, create an account, log in using password and Case-Senative 8 digit verification Code EVERYTIME you use the app. Is someone gonna hack my washing machine and run up my utility bills ?? lol
seriously though, after spending an hour on this, i cannot get it to work because i have the newest version of the flex machines. The app ( in poor grammar ) instructs me to download the ‘Samsung smart connect app’ for my newer model machine... go on and search the apple store; IT DOESNT EXIST! wifi alerts is not the end all be all, but its a nifty feature to have, i assume, since ive never been able to use it. Samsung why you teasing us apple users?? make an APP that is backwards compatible that controls your smart home devices, don’t leave a trail of discarded forgotten apps... the point is INTEGRATION, and we need to play well with others. i am hesitant to buy any future sammy “ smart products “ if they aren’t streamlined and compatible with my existing set up; that being said FIVE STARS on the flex wash machines, they are AMAZING!!! best machines ive ever owned, worth every penny i PROMISE!

I thought it would be fun to have my brand new wall oven attached to this application, but after multiple attempts, it always says “disconnected”.
I know that the oven is connected to my access point. And my phone is connected to the same AP. It showed up one time only.
Not useful at all.
This app is pure crap. If you bought the flex machine for it’s “smart” capabilities, send it back.

Last summer I replaced my ancient central heat and air with two Samsung mini splits. I like being able to operate the units remotely, but that seems more fantasy than reality. Whether I’m in my home or at work, this app hardly ever connects to the server. Several times I’ve had to log in everything again, only to still not connect. And when it does connect to the server, it then shows my units themselves are disconnected from the network.
I really hoped for a better interface and overall app experience from the great Samsung. But this app is truly garbage.
Samsung, are you even aware of this trove of negative reviews?
