Anyone have any tips to get it registered? I keep getting system error with passwords and now with the verification code? The support page is in a language I can’t read so any help would be appreciated 🤗

Worst smart app ever. I can’t connect anything or create an account because it constantly says “remote api server failed unknown error” or “failed error” so do yourself a favor and stick to brand name, not this cheap junk!!!!!! -10000

Just as the title states, the hardware is just as useless as the sad developed app , which doesnt even connect to alexxa and is always having issues pairing and showing devices online. 90% of the time the smart life app shows all devices offline. Hey China, word of advice... lay off the cheapass electronics and stick to the food. Let the other nations take care of that please.

I love this app. I can’t wait for other “smart devices to adopt it. I can turn on and off devices remotely. It allows me to setup multiple schedules. If I want a countdown for a particular device, yep it’ll do it too. It’s a centralized location for many of my smart plugs and light switches. You want to see stats on power usage for your particular devices, that’s in there too. I’ve not played around with sharing of the devices with other family members as I’m the only one at the moment using the smart devices, but it’s there too. I’ve only mentioned a few of the features I personally use , but there are many more and more I’ve not discovered.
To the developers: Please keep innovating and adding more devices. One of the best apps I’ve seen. Thank you!
Frequently loses connection and becomes inactive. I upgraded my wireless network and everything else works great, but this “smart” outlet continues to lose connectivity.
Horrible instructions to connect Alexa 1/5
It tells you after you enable the skill in Alexa app to login to this app again to “link now” — but there’s no way to actually log out of the app and there is no place to find the “link now” button as is pictured in the directions.
It’s such a simple thing, if the app developer can’t handle the setup instructions the. You just won’t get more than one star. You shouldn’t have to be an engineer to use the app guys. Get with it.
Ok finally figured out how to log out. But I log back in and the screen is not as pictured in the setup instructions.
Still one star. To your credit, I have set up smart switches from 6 or 8 different brands and none of them are great. The switches that is. I at least got the others set up. Not this one so far.
Update: Finally figured it out by accident. Instructions tell you to go back to the app where you originally registered your account. I did that and was still logged in and so I logged out and back in just trying to get the screen that was shown in the instructions. Never showed that screen. So I went back to the App Store and acted like I was adding the app again from the start, and it finally let me login again to a screen that would actually link to Alexa.
Perhaps an Alexa issue and not this app? But still not a good experience.

I don’t like using multiple WiFi device apps so when I purchase a new device, my first priority is that It be compatible with the one app I prefer. SmartLife is the first app to actually perform most of the functions I expect from a device app (fairly easily, at least). The integration with Amazon Echo has been pretty seamless and the app is fairly intuitive when it comes to setting up scenes and automations as well. Also, tho it wasn’t actually necessary, customer service replied pronto when I submitted a fairly minor functionality suggestion. So many apps feel abandoned these days. SmartLife seems to be staying on top of their app so far. Hopefully they will keep improving and adding functions and features (such as allowing start and end times prior to or after sunset and sunrise. e.g., turn on lamp 15 minutes prior to sunset.)

Suggestion ... Please add two options, i.e. rules.
First rule: On / Off when the phone is disconnected from the home wifi network. (when I leave the house, the defined devices automatically shot down, for example ... lights in the house or when I am back, lights turn on automatically).
Second rule: Set timer for button on device (when I push blue button on device to switch off lights before go to sleep, I need delay...

DO NOT BUY the LinkStyle Smart WiFi plug outlets that use this app. You will get constant and intermittent cycling on/off. After 2 sets, I have the same issue many others have reported. Customer service for app and smart plugs is POOR.

Set up was little challenging. Best way to install:
1. Plug in device
2. Hold button for 5 sec and wait for slow blinking pattern on device on off switch.
3. Turn on Bluetooth on iPhone
4. Turn on wifi
5. On app select add new device
6. On top right corner click AP mode
7. Find under iPhone wifi setting the smart Life 1234. Select it.
8. On the app continue, it will ask if this is your wifi, change to your wifi setting.
9. Go back to set up continue and it will search and load device. Takes about 3 min.
10. It should be connected and ready to use, you can unplug and relocate device to any room and settings are stored in wifi mode.
11. You can be out of town or different country to active a lamp at home. For security.
#8#9 is the tricky part to get

App no longer recognizes sockets I bought 4 1/2 months ago. Unable to reconnect them. Appears LightStory will just let their products fail. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEIR PRODUCTS OR SERVICES!!! If they fix this, then I will remove this rating.

Smart Life works well with several brands of connected smart devices. Setup is quite easy and smooth especially if you are technically oriented. Operation is easy as well and works reliably even with Alexa and Google Home.
I wish the interface is more flexible and customizable for my needs. Like making my own tile interface or change the shade color of the buttons to indicate ON or OFF. Make text more visible as they are really tiny or use obvious symbols for rooms and/or devices.

Siri Integration needs work 2/5
I use this app everyday and it is great but Siri integration needs work. Siri integration only allows for one command to be made per scene and if I were to add any more commands to the same scene through Siri with the settings app it would only partially work or not work at all. Any other app would easily support multiple commands for one action and they do. The fact that Siri’s throwing errors only when I try multiple commands with this app and not others shows how this is an issue that can (and should) be fixed.
Update caused more bugs 1/5
They claim this last update had “bug fixes” but it has sparked more bugs than before. Voice control no longer works through my google home and my devices are constantly going offline even though I have impeccable Wifi service. Smart life devices have now become more of a nuisance than a convenience. I didn’t have a problem with them before this last update. All my other smart devices that are not through the smart life app are working perfectly.
Pretty rad house controlling app 5/5
App is pretty rad and makes waking my wife in the morning excellent!! She will lying in pitch darkest about 530am and I can blast these lights on from practically in where in the world. Delightful. The only thing I miss is this app needs an Apple Watch app. This would allow to be wearing my watch only and still be able to blast the lights on for my sugar mommie😜!
Lost accessibility with VoiceOver 1/5
This app has never been the best to use but I could at least use it. Now I have a new router but can't link my devices because the app no longer works with VoiceOver. I am blind and need the app to work with VoiceOver to set up my devices.

This was a bit of a pain to set up first time setup, however, once I got it all set up, it worked well. It connects to Google home easily, however, Alexa wouldn’t connect. Now that I changed our wifi I have no idea how to update the devices and app. I’ve looked everywhere imaginable in the app. You’d think it would be in the device network or home settings... not super user friendly.

So the app seems cool and all but there’s a huge glaring problem. You cannot initialize a device unless your PHONE is on a WiFi network. Seeing as I use my phone as my WiFi network, I cannot set up any devices because I keep getting an error code telling me my phone is not on WiFi. So even though I can connect the device (heater in my case) to my phone’s hotspot and I can see the device in the app and I’m using the app (ergo online) on my phone I cannot actually initialize the device because my phone is not on a WiFi connection... absolutely worthless to me and rather stupid actually. Why it matters how my phone is online is beyond me and renders the entire system useless, if I’m in the car on the way home I can’t turn things on in advance because I’m not on WiFi? What’s the point?

This App and matching WiFi electrical outlets for lamps are simply awful...some stop working for no reason after 6 months of use and some refuse to join groups after 6 months of working fine...Help section is a complete joke and no Customer Service Number to call when you are at the end of your rope trying to fix them. Considering how expensive these WiFi electrical outlets are to purchase, you would think the developer/manufacturer would offer a warranty or at least a decent Help section. Don’t waste your money!
Neither “easy” or “AP” will initiate the first of 4 bulbs I received today. App was updated yesterday, so I made sure to upgrade first. I have 2 sockets and a bulb already, so I’m familiar with what should work.

The IFTTT integrations don’t work correctly for binary controls (i.e. switches) but there is a workaround that can be found on the IFTTT reddit. Also, there is no online control center or support knowledge base.
