Bad engine search for Soundcloud 3/5

Bad engine search for SoundCloud, nothing related appears
A pedestrian, buggy mess 1/5
This app could be so much more than it is.
Instead of focusing on improving their software, they’re wasting resources on… wait for it…
Because there aren’t enough streaming services out there already?
Sonos: FOCUS ON YOUR SOFTWARE! FIX YOUR SOFTWARE! MAKE IT BETTER!
Such a shame and a waste.
Could be better 3/5
I love SONOS and keep building my system but the new app could be better. It keeps blanking out which is really annoying. Old app worked better. I’m sure they will get it together eventually.
New app super glitchy 2/5
I’ve had multiple Sonos speakers connected in my home for years. They e always worked consistently. Since downloading this new app, speakers connect and disconnect randomly and the volume controls are very unreliable. Not pleased with this new release.
Love the new app! 5/5
This is the easiest and best system I have owned. Really enjoy it in the evening when relaxing.
Dumb move by Sonos’ leaders 2/5
The first app worked fine. Why would they issue a new app?
The second app is a bust. Does not recognize my equipment half the time.
Completely terrible 1/5
I upgraded and now none of my 11 speakers will connect. Even if wired. What a bad move from Sonos. I’ve loved the products but now i’m unable use them and I can’t roll back to the old app. DO NOT DOWNLOAD!!! I have 20 years of sys admin network experience and this is just the worst move i’ve ever seen from a popular brand. Since nothing is working i have no other choice than to sell all my 11 speakers; beam, playbase, sub, play:3 x 2, 4x ones, 2x symfonisk.
Coin toss on working 2/5
By coale J
Ever since I downloaded this app it’s a coin toss on whether or not it will work. Constant disturbances in the play. Hope it’s an easy fix for Sonos.
By Rob Gozo
New S2 doesn’t work as well. Connections are slower, loading is slower and several times it can’t connect to my music service (right after playing a song from the same album of course). I hope for improvement cause I’ve gone all in on Sonos in my home.
Pleasantly surprised 5/5
I’m very happy now! I recommend you install S2 now.
I saw the initial install reviews for S2 and they weren’t good. I like Sonos, but I have such a large and complicated setup that every upgrade I’ve had in the past 5 years is ALWAYS trouble. Put my experience and the reviews...... I was not looking forward to S2.
Finally took plunge and started with updating my Windows laptop and my system. Guess what? It worked! I had one glitch that I caused on my Windows 10 system and had to restart, but it was my fault. S2 was great. I then (had to) upgrade my iPhone/iPad/Apple laptop and not only did it work great it fixed a problem I’ve had with the original Sonos app and S1 App! I’m very happy again.
Add that to improvements in S2 for my paid YouTube Music subscription and awesome!
S2 brings back why I originally purchased Sonos, for music, not to be an IT problem diag jockey (which, BTW I am for my job).
Thanks Sonos team for bringing back the ease of upgrade. You are music to my ears again.
New app has destroyed Sonos System 1/5
Completely unreliable! Sometimes it works sometimes not. Sound drops from some speakers randomly. Went for there days not being able to choose music so the system simply could not be used. If you don't choose music it won’t work. My wife and I could control the old system flawlessly from either of our phones. Now, the phones conflict. If one is using the other can’t make any changes. The thousands of dollars invested in this system is essentially lost on a totally unreliable sound system. My frustration is quickly becoming anger. Soon I’ll be demanding my money back for all ten of my speakers! The problems started a few months before the new release. I suspect that they were affecting the old app while working on the new one. This is a serious problem. Would rate it less than one atar if I could.
Thanks one of the best things to have happened in the industry in a long time! Keep it up 👍
Pro and con of Sonos 3/5
Pro good sound
Con Can’t retrieve my Spotify Playlist
Wacky performance 3/5
The new upgrade has performance issues. And I never thought I’d say that about Sonos.its always been the most seamless app ever, perfect record.
First off whatever Sonos1 was, was garbage. Music would turn itself off for no reason. Frequently it would stop after 2-10 minutes of play. I finally just gave up.
As of yesterday I’m prompted to go get Sonos 2, the brown icon. It’s somewhat better but still enough glitches to prompt a review.
I’ve got 3 speakers, it always wants to play on Family Room even though that’s the speaker I use least. The other 2 regularly disappear from the app. And the music stops playing on its own. Not as much as last version, but still twice in the last 2 hrs.
I select a speaker from Rooms, select music, and it decides To play in Family Room instead of Kitchen. When I open the app to play something only 1 speaker shows up. It’s like the house is haunted.
It works if your a new customer 1/5
Old customers are screwed! Investment gone bad at 300 a speaker. Don’t worry sonos has a plan run two separate incompatible systems that can’t communicate with each other and also require two separate apps. Sounds like someone at Sonos got a promotion. Welcome to the “new normal” of America. Don’t support Sonos anymore spend your money on other speakers be warned.
Buggy AF 2/5
New app is buggy AF. Have 5 speakers and 2-3 are always missing. The time spent reconnecting them is insane. Have much older Bluetooth speakers from other manufacturers with better reliability.
New app terrible 1/5
Haven’t been able to use my Sonos system since the new app released. Followed all their instructions and plays intermittently throughout my house, apparently connecting and disconnecting. It’s a total disaster and unless they fix this quickly I would never recommend their products again!
Declining usability 3/5
I’ve been using the new interface for a couple of weeks and it’s so much clunkier than the old version. And, it’s much slower to load on all devices. Overall I’ve seen no improvements and a gradual decline in usability.
I loved Sonos... then S2 happened 2/5
Without exaggeration, every time I try to play music using Spotify and Sonos its a five minute process and usually results in having to play the music in the Spotify app then, when nothing plays, having to go back to the S2 app and pressing play a couple times and waiting for the whole system become un-confused. Weird symptom is the volume indicator shows changes in volume when I haven’t touched it. After being a HUGE fan of Sonos... this new system is giving me huge doubts about my loyalty to the system. I have 6 play:1s a play:3 and a Soundbar.
Thanks for nothing 1/5
By ibn fuzzayd
Thanks for locking me out of my old speakers even though they were compatible! Glad the new app gives you more access to my data or selling ads or planned obsolescence whatever it is that necessitated downloading a whole new app.
Won’t be buying new Sonos products again. Was on the fence after the repair fiasco, but certainly not now.
Loved it before but .... 2/5
Love my 1yr old sound system but it seems like recent updates have changed my listening experience.. the music gets disrupted randomly and player keeps pausing/going off!
By so Di J
Dont upgrade until they figure out the glitches. Doesn’t give you any more features and it fails to recognize devices all the time.
Not Happy 2/5
I have 3 homes and an office that is all set up on Sonos. 40 or more Sonos speakers, surround sound systems etc. and this latest update practically wrecked 1/2 of my systems. When you have loyal customers that spend money on your products (over $10,000) why would you create a system that makes them obsolete? Is Sonos owned by Apple?
Mostly great 4/5
Really love the speakers especially the portable move. They can be a little glitchy and connecting with Spotify is sometimes not seamless.
Bring back black background as an option for dark mode hate that gray look
Product is great, the app is horrible 1/5
The Sonos system itself is fantastic and I love showing it off to my friends. The app however is a fire dumpster
New App new problems 3/5
The updated app is difficult to use. There is no intuitive transition at all.
Why is Sonos telling it’s customers lies 1/5
Sonos is forcing me to update my app even if I don’t want the update. The message I receive on my Sonos S1 app is that the app is not compatible with my system. The only way that could be true is if Sonos altered my system without my approval. I have been using my Sonos system as is for many years and has worked just fine but now they say it’s not compatible! I see from the posts here that many long time customers / Users of Sonos are not able to get their system working again after the update. Why are we forced to take something we don’t want or need. Sounds to me like a class action lawsuit!
So Bad 2/5
Speakers disappear. Very unreliable.
Great speaker shaky functions 4/5
Being able shuffle an artist still isnt a thing but i needed a new app to use my same speaker?
Incredibly buggy 1/5
Can’t get the apps or the speakers to work half of the time. The old app worked great, don’t see why they needed to replace it.
Really unstable 1/5
Not sure if it’s the new app, but I’ve had nothing but problems since downloading it. At first, it wouldn’t play any music sources at all. On hold for 45 minutes, troubleshooting for another half hour, finally got it working. Now, 3 days late, SiriusXM won’t play, other sources are ok. I can Airplay from the SiriusXM app. Very frustrating. At the price of these speakers, they should actually work.
Wish it all worked seamlessly 2/5
I’m constantly having to invent work arounds to find my speakers to play. The app is slow to open on my phone. The volume slider should be more responsive and less cumbersome. I don’t like restarting the speakers when I unplug them. I could go on.
Very unstable 1/5
The app is very unstable. When you try to group several speakers around the home the app takes a long time to group them and sometime it does not do it and misses some speakers and you then need to go back and add those speakers that have not been added. Furthermore when you play after you set up this speaker group and the music plays in some speakers and not in others but you need to wait for a long time and slowly the speakers finally play all the music across all rooms. Very unstable and there are some problems with the system in my opinion.
New but less ergonomic 2/5
Might be new but the old one was more ergonomic
Total garbage 1/5
App has been “updated” again, and still nothing works. I’m over this hunk of crap.
Terribly slow and faulty! 1/5
By Jake from Boise
The old app worked so much better.
Setup frustrations 2/5
I’ve been trying for about 2.5 hours to set this up. Very disappointing considering the cost of the products. Customer support is a 30 minute wait.
12.0.2 - Still not enough bug fixes 1/5
Finally decided to expand beyond my Beam and bought 2 One SLs last month. They were great until I moved to Sonos 2. Beautiful paper weights though. I was looking to expand further but will move on to something that works.
Your software engineers BLOW 1/5
What a garbage app seriously
Cannot add additional speakers. So many dead ends. Have had to restart my phone to get anywhere. No clue why it was put put with so many bugs.
Simply The Best 5/5
I own 9 Sonos speakers! Enough said!
No problems. 5/5
No problem here with the update. I just added two new sets of arc with subs and surrounds also without a glitch
Not working or working badly 1/5
We so much miss the previous app! Most of the time the new app does not detect all the rooms or simply says “unable to connect, try again “. This never happened before.
Trash times 3 1/5
Third update fixed a few issues. Please trust the negative review. Also do your homework on the products you have to make sure they are compatible. Sonos shame on you for causing so many people head aches.
Pocket Casts stopped working! 1/5
Latest update has screwed up the connection to Pocket Casts so I cannot listen to my Podcasts. Also very disappointed Sonos shut down the connection to my iTunes library...only thing that works is the radio function, I resent paying $500.00 for a fancy radio!
Works great looks better 5/5
I find this app better looking more stable than s1. Haven’t had any issues. Running on my iPhone XR
AMAZING !!!!! 5/5
By His Edness
After hearing a Sonos system in a friends house. I purchased one for myself. Consisting of Two Play 5’s, a Sub, amd a sound bar under my TV. Since then Ove added a system for each room. The sound is nothing short of stellar. The Sonos software makes controlling the entire or any room a snap. I LOVE the system. it’s not exactly cheap..... But so worth every penny. The latest software update.... FANTASTIC !!!!
Defective app 1/5
By Allegheny Pioneer
Before the "new"app my Sonos speakers worked perfectly. Great sound, etc. Now they won't connect in spite of the "solutions" offered by Sonos. Since the app can't find my speakers, I can't change the settings. The main solution was to connect the speaker to the router, which did not work. The new app does not work! My speakers are now basically expensive junk.
Do not buy Sonos products!!!
