Great app 5/5
One of the most practical apps ever
Best Parking App 5/5
Recently moved to LA. This app is a life savor. No more reading confusing signs. Notifies you when you need to move your car. Totally worth it!
Finding free parking spot feature never works in Chicago 1/5
I tried to use this feature to find free parking in Chicago but the app directed me to places where I didn’t find any free parking spot (only street parking, which is not free)
This is life changing!!! 5/5
I feel SO much better having a car in the city. I can’t believe how much easier it is to find parking. I’m feel so much better just knowing how much I’ll have to spend on parking. Definitely makes it easier to decide if to take the car or not
Kills battery 2/5
I loved this app, very useful... until I realized why suddenly my phone wasn’t holding a charge for a full day anymore: this app kills the battery pretty fast because of its background activity. 27% battery usage this app alone in 6 hours...
Uninstalling until it gets better...
DESTROYS battery life! 1/5
I downloaded this app after seeing some good reviews about it. First impressions were pretty good and I really liked it saving my vehicles location, but really my phone already does. My city isn't supported (the list of supported cities is very small). My phone battery was dying really quickly over the past week so today I opened up my settings to try to figure out why. This app drained my battery by 43% in a single day and I never even opened it. That's absolutely ridiculous! Facebook and Snapchat (both of which are known for battery draining) only took up 8%! As soon as I saw that in my settings I deleted the app instantly. Only download this app if you HAVE to use it in a major city or if you plan to visit one (but be sure to delete it afterwards if you want to keep a healthy battery)!
Great app, some room for improvement 4/5
This app works well, but the only complaint I have is not being able to invite others to view your car location. For anyone that shares a car when commuting ( think significant other)it would've very helpful if they could look up the location where the car was last parked.
Requires email 1/5
No need to require an email to try this out. Invasive...
Looks Very Cool But... 2/5
The reason for my two star rating is that the app wants a lot of tracking privileges — this is ok with my as long as I’m getting a service in return — however, in two cities that I frequent (Austin and Houston) the area served by the app is a very very small slice of downtown. Not that useful with current offering of spaces. However, I can definitely see how this app could be great based on the areas that are available. I decided to delete the app because the area served in Houston, the largest city in Texas is very small, especially when considering “downtown is practically everywhere inside the 610 loop. I don’t want to give away my location and motion data continuously when I’ll rarely be in the specific area to use this app.
Great for NYC & Hoboken! 5/5
This app is a lifesaver and it works great in NYC and Hoboken, tried it with an iPhone X and then XS and both worked without a glitch.
Doesn't work on iphone 6 1/5
Can't compete setup wizard to grant permissions
Great app, responsive team 5/5
App does exactly what it says. Initially had an issue with sharing a car with my wife, but the dev team responded to my feedback quickly and offered support.
When I click google direction to guide me to the parking spot it takes me NO WHERE.
Doesn’t Work 1/5
Used this app in NYC and followed any viable signs on the street and the app said it was free parking and I had ticket protection turned on. Came back 3 hours later to a 115.00 ticket. Do not use this app for help. It will give u false information and doesn’t take any responsibility for it. Would never recommend
LIFE SAVER 5/5
I am so happy someone actually built this - and built it well! This has already saved me so much parking pain. Bravo, guys!
Thought it was perfect until.. 2/5
It notifies me every time I park my car shortly after I park (a minute or two). I was at home and had been home for about 3 hours when it notified me about my parking location. I thought it was weird because I had parked hours ago. I opened the app to where it said my car was parked and had a mini heart attack. It said my car was parked in some random spot miles away from me. I parked my car about half a block away around the corner so I ran to where my car was thinking someone had stolen it. My car was there. Right where I left it. Don’t know why it’s telling me it’s parked miles away from my home but that’s pretty annoying.
Useless if you need to park in the “future.” 2/5
Before posting this I tried to go to their app support page. It brings you to an ad for the SpotAngels app. Then offers to send you to the mobile site. The only page available is the web version of the app.
However it is a great concept.
Useless to me. I want to reserve parking in November 2018 for a week. Right now it is September 2018.
When you put in dates, it goes back to today’s date.
Am I using the app for a purpose it is not built for? If so why are there options to put in the dates you need?
4 stars for concept. 1 star for app usability.
Got a ticket. Don’t use 1/5

Yesterday, Wednesday, I walked outside to my car and to my surprise that was the ticket on the window. On Tuesday evening I park my car, and I forgot to check the alternate side, my mistake. When going back to double check I received a notification saying alternate side is Thursday. So I went back inside, my mistake again. The street I was on was not a small street where both sides are close together, it’s a wide street with 2 way traffic and much room to spare. This is the entire function of this feature on the app, the developer has told me this does not work in New York City or California, which is half or more it’s market. Basically app doesn’t work for what it was built to do. The app does ask for you to confirm your location, which I thought was just to confirm that you are at this area, not to confirm your exact coordinate location. If that’s the case, you don’t need this gps feature , as you have to check anyway.

This app seems like a great idea and I downloaded it because I thought it would be helpful. Perhaps it works better in other areas, but in my particular neighborhood (in NYC), this app has not been helpful at all and it is completely inaccurate and continues to send me false alerts about moving my car and making me feel nervous that I’m going to get a ticket! It’s not updated to the current parking signs. For example, it is telling me now that I have to move my car at 7am tomorrow for street cleaning. But I looked at the sign outside very attentively and many times to make sure the street cleaning said 8am. This app is giving me a headache
Great until it wasn’t. 2/5
Alternate Side Parking. If you're dealing with it you know. SpotAngel used to be a great way of figuring out where to look for a spot
Then it started needing Always for location access. (The app won’t even run until you grant it.)
I don’t grant Always access (that’s just that) so now I can’t use the app.
It’s really disappointing; the app was really useful.
The best parking app!! 5/5
If you’re thinking about it, get it! The map of parking rules alone is very useful, showing you which streets are permit zones, meter zones, free parking zones, etc. For SF drivers, this app works great!
Used app to find free street parking in NYC on Sunday. Very helpful and saved lots of money!
Oh yeah 5/5
I’m just happy I as able to find free parking I didn’t even use my car yet just had to make sure updates are legit and customer service is on point (Real life Time)
Bluetooth auto park unreliable, great data 4/5
Really good app with great data in NYC - is definitely a real help for ASP rules.
The Bluetooth detection is unbearably unreliable though. Even when my car is playing music automatically when I turn it on and it picks up my phone, when I turn the car off at least 70% of the time the app doesn’t register me as parked if it is running in the background on my phone. It’s got worse over time, which is frankly weird.
It probably the best thing about this app and it frequently doesn’t work.
Suggestions to a already great app 5/5
This is by far the most advanced and easy ui street parking app and works wonders here in nyc the street times and holidays opposite side parking reminders are helpful when heading out the house. One thing I’ve noticed since the big update is that my parking spot has not been able to pick up when i actually move my car to a different location and occasionally i forget what street i left my car on and look to the app to find out it’s still has the location for the last spot i was in. Furthermore the alert that a driver has moved from a location is a smart idea but honestly lacks because not a lot of people actually use it. Maybe if it was automatic and not something you had to manually alert more people would be finding it useful other then this it’s a great app keep up the work.
Excellent app!!! 5/5
Great customer service 5/5
I was having problems with the app and it turns out I didn’t have the cellular data turned on in my settings. Their customer service reached out to me and fixed the problem right away. I’ve never received better service from an app!
Headache free in SF 5/5
Being a hospital shift worker you can usually expect to have your car parked for 12-24 hours a day. This can rack up to $81 for one shift! But now, I can find easy parking close to the hospital and get alerts when my time is getting close to move or add more time. Love this app!!!
Deleted it in less than 5 minutes 1/5
Was given 3 options (Only While Using the App, Always Allow, Don’t Allow) for sharing my location but was unable to proceed setting up the app unless I marked “Always Allow”.
This will save your life (and money) 5/5

Traumatized by a nearly $300 hit to my wallet after being towed in NYC, I decided I needed to get serious. This app is amazing because it not only warns you of potential tickets, but maps all the free areas of parking so you don’t waste time trolling for parking in the wrong areas. I love you spot angel!
Incredibly Useful 5/5
This app is a charm. So useful!
Highly recommended 5/5
By Beto bruklincito
Great concept. I will use every time I use a car in NY. I will also recommend to all my friends
Waze for parking! Saved me time and money 5/5
I use this app regularly to find free or cheap parking near where I park. The new version is a huge enhancement. The street parking availability feature is off to a great start and will get better as more folks use the app. I love that the devs update the app regularly with new features and bug fixes. Keep them coming. Best of all, it’s free. Thank you Spot Angels!
This old idea that you have launched will never work in a city like Hoboken. When a parking spot opens on a street it is filled within seconds. If you did your homework you would know this. So the thought that you can create a community based app that lets you know where open spots are is ridiculous, its fake news. Not to mention you would have to get 100% of all the residents who park and 100% of all the visitors using the app to make it accurate at all times. The moment a non app user unparks, the app users will never know. Complete waste of time and resources.
AMAZING APP! 5/5
Love this app! The most useful I’ve tried to find parking both on street and in garages.
Reminders help you from getting parking tickets and you can also find open parking spots when driving near your destination 😇🙏
First time using app, success! 5/5
By Sylmar CA
I just downloaded the app today, needed to find free parking around AT&T Park. The app showed me just where to go. If I parked one block closer it would have cost me $27 to use the meter. Thanks!
Great App - super useful! 5/5
So far I’m loving this app. Helps me find free parking all the time and helps me manage when I need to move my vehicle for street cleaning.
Pleasantly surprised!!! Absolutely Reliable 4/5
Perfect app 5/5
By Gffjj hdmi
This app is awesome
Doesn’t solve my problem 3/5
I’m looking for an app that can actually use the power of the community like advertised on the App Store. I should be able to post and look at parking available from people that are leaving in real time or future time. I don’t need to know where a garage is, every app on the App Store does this. I just want to know where I can park my car closest to my building for free without having to circle around my neighborhood. Looking forward to an update that shakes up the market like I know it has the potential to do.
Useful when traveling and great support team 5/5
If you wanna spare some money and time, you have to give it a try.
Clean UI & The Data I Need 5/5
I used to use Best Parking religiously when traveling to any major city. It was OK - clunky, but effective. Recently, ParkWhiz bought them, and they pushed garages over street parking at all opportunities. I can parallel park, and street parking is cheap, so this bothered me a bit. Best Parking’a latest update removed metered parking data outright, and that was it for me.
Enter Spot Angels: It replaces Best Parking 100%, and even captures alternate-side parking rules. The UI is clean - colors are used well and the app functions as you’d assume.
Great work, and I’m so excited to finally use a well-designed app showing me the data I need. 👍🏻
When you can find right name for yourself Angels 😇 5/5
Thank you a lot for all your effort you put to make our life easier and less stressful!
Love it!!! 5/5
This app is 👌🏾K with me! Great for finding free parking! And also the reminder feature is a plus!
Money Saving App! 5/5
For cities, parking tickets have become just another form of reliable revenue, a form of hidden taxation. Unable to budget themselves, they are constantly finding new ways to take your hard earned $$$ - state taxes, sales taxes, registration fees, you name it. I am glad that this application is around to at least alleviate some pain from that greed. This is a great app, and it can really save you from parking tickets. If you live or frequently park on a street that hasn't been mapped in the app, take a snapshot of the sign, and the turnaround speed for this to be added to the app is really impressive.
DOWNLOAD THIS 5/5
This is the BEST parking management app out there, not only because it’s the only one but because it has everything you need.
- easy to mark your parking spot
- they respond to app suggestions and feedback pretty immediately
- you can add your parking permit information
- it’s quick and has no bugs that I’ve found
- app is polished and map information is accurate (only issue I’ve found is that the 1 block area where certain permits overlap doesn’t list the information for both permits, only one, but you can submit map feedback if you see that)
- you can scope out parking costs (even compare different nearby garages) before going somewhere, and even set the time frame when you’re going to be there
- I love that the map displays general parking info when you move over it (i.e., free parking, hour limits, parking costs, etc), which makes it easy to plan ahead (or determine whether or not it’s cheaper to just Lyft) when I’m going to an unfamiliar area.
This has literally everything anyone needs to own a car and avoid tickets while living in a city. My only suggestions would be to streamline the settings/menu portion of the UI a little more and that sometimes the push notifications don’t work (though it’s so easy to just open the app and see when I need to leave, it’s not a huge deal). I also think it’d be cool if they added an iOS widget.
This now looks more confusing. I get what the end goal was. But it’s just not an intuitive interface anymore. It was much more simple and straight forward before. I literally had to figure out how to add a new sign with the updated interface.
Brilliant App! 5/5
This is easily the most-used app on my phone. Constantly updated.
It works 4/5
Its a growing app with a few bugs but they seem responsive and eager to improve. 4 solid stars i say.
