Such a fake app, never replies to your email, gives you all sort of coupons, and when you try to redeem it, they take away all your coupons back.Not even single time they have replied to my queries.

Don’t bother with this app. Used it this weekend and it was a nightmare. They over sold the garage and had to wait over 30 minutes to park. End up being late for our show.

Finding your parking garage is sometimes a challenge. I couldn’t find mine and had to pay in addition for another spot. Spothero refunded me the spothero fee afterwards fairly quickly.

My car was towed because directions for getting to my designated spot were faulty to say the least. Very stressful situation that ruined a day of my vacation in Chicago. I don’t think I’ll be using this app again. The customer service is great on the other hand. I just wish the app was better.
Failed when I needed it most 1/5
I reserved two spots ahead of time so I wouldn’t have the hassle of parking downtime. I paid ahead of time, but when I got to the lot they said it was full and turned me away. I found myself out $30 and with nowhere to park for myself and the other car. Needless to say I won’t be using spot hero again in the future.

I made a reservation with Spot Hero for a garage in Washington, DC that the app said was open on Saturday. However, when I arrived, the garage where I had the Spot Hero reservation was completely closed and shuttered. Needless to say, I don’t recommend the app or the company.

The description of hero for Spot hero, it is not adequate there needs to be a level above hero. I love this app! It’s fast, Easy, intuitive, and everything else you would ask for in a parking app. The one thing I am hoping for is a seamless integration between Waze and spot hero that would be incredible
Unable to update / change reservation 1/5
I was excited to use this app for the first time last night. However, when I arrived at the garage, there were two nearly identical garages across from one another and neither were marked with an address. I chose the one that had signage. I realized once I got my ticket that instead of parking in the “131 Dartmouth St Garage” I parked in the “Dartmouth St Garage.” I immediately reached out to update my reservation and did not hear back despite an automated email stating that I would hear soon. Instead of saving on parking, I paid double. I understand I’m at fault for part of this, however both garages had the same rate on the app, so switching the reservation should not have been an issue. Customer support would have been appreciated either way. Deleting app.
Always getting tickets 2/5
I always get tickets using this monthly parking pass is useless if I keep receiving tickets? One one day there wasn’t even enough spots in the parking lot so I had to park in a reg space for my 8 hour shift super inconvenient got I ticket for this too. The whole point is for me to park and not worry about being late to work.
I have used spot hero a lot and formally liked the app but because I parked 10 minutes early I was charged an extra $8. This ended up being a $23 charge for 8 hours of parking. If I had just skipped the app and paid at the parking lot it would have been much less. Spot hero was already over charging because it was updating my reservation for 12 hours even though I only needed 8 but I didn’t mind until I got charged even more for showing up 10 minutes early. In a city like Chicago it’s almost impossible to know exactly what time you will arrive based on traffic.

No issue reserving my parking spot through the app. I did have an issue when I reserved a parking spot. The private lot was closed. I contacted SpotHero about a refund. Their customer service took care of me. They promptly refunded my money and apologize for the convenience. I lost my receipt, but they accepted a snapshot of my mobile banking app showing proof that I had to pay another lot out of my own pocket. Thanks again guys!

I’ve used this app a few times and it works so well. Technically speaking, I haven’t seen any bugs. I love the convenience of making a reservation ahead of time and seeing the price first. Plus, there is so much more information about the parking you may not have seen otherwise. The two features that stood out is the maps integration. In addition, it gives you the option to choose Google or Apple maps. Some don’t care. Some do, but it’s a nice option. Also, the path to speak to a rep was really easy, including wait time. Plus, this app saves me money and walking on parking.

Parking is San Francisco is expensive and stressful. SpotHero gives me access to lots of garages downtown at substantial discounts. I can park downtown all day for under $20 at the same garages that regularly charge $70-80 a day or more. Thanks SpotHero!!

We used bar code but machine ate our Amex card(cuz there are sometimes problems with the metal cards) so we had to go to another machine and that one wouldn’t accept code because it appeared used. So we paid full parking rate PLUS the amount we paid spot hero.

Prepaid for parking arrive to find attendant didn’t know anything about the app. I emailed that day and didn’t get a response for a couple of days. When I did get a response they wanted bank statements and other proof of payment for a refund. So I have to gather all the information ( to prove I paid them, something that I’m sure they have record of ) to get my 10 bucks back. It’s more trouble than its worth. I just won’t use this app again. They obviously don’t have your ground game covered when the attendant on site has no knowledge of their app and how to redeem parking from the app. Thanks for nothing

Easy and safe parking spots. I called spot hero with a question before leaving my car at one location and they promptly answered the phone and were kind and helpful. I can now afford to park near work on days I need my car afterwards and have enjoyed Boston more on occasions I can’t take the T.
I have been using Spot Hero for the past year. Quick and easy, and it makes getting out of the garage so much easier since I don’t have to stop and stand in a line to pay.
Last night I messed up my reservation and didn’t realize it until I was at the gate and the bar code didn’t work. I grabbed a ticket and entered as I couldn’t back up.
Called Spot Hero and they immediately issued me a refund. Friendly, helpful service.

I live, drive & PARK in New York City where parking is truly a Madhouse & prohibitively expensive. Spot Hero has given me a way to reserve parking at the last minute hassle free without printing out coupons or a reservation slip. There is always a garage within blocks of where I am going. In the event that I DO find on street parking, they have been so accommodating in giving me credit so I can use it for the future! Finally, when I call to ask for a credit, the app clearly states my waiting time to be on hold and offers me the option of receiving a callback. I highly recommend this app & company! : )

There’s no feature to pay the extra overcharge for driving an SUV or anything like that so I always have to go to an atm and withdraw extra cash to pay for the oversize every time I go to pick up my vehicle to exit

Parking is almost half the price when I use the app but every single time I try to scan the barcode to leave it fails to read the barcode. IPhone SE. Yes, I have the brightness all the way up. No, I don’t have a screen cover. I always have to call the attendant who has to enter the ticket manually. People waiting behind me hate me. I’m tempted to uninstall because it isn’t worth the hassle.

Their directions on the locations give two addresses sometimes and I parked at a garage thinking it was the right one (I even had a friend with me who thought it was the right one too) for $9. It ended up being the wrong garage so I paid for $25!!! Spot hero said they would reimburse me if I gave a receipt BUT they only refunded me the $9 for the spot in the other garage. Which took them OVER A MONTH to refund. RIDICULOUS. Ruined my night and I was super mad. Worst customer service ever. I’m STILL mad. I’ve deleted the app and I won’t be using this confusing app again.

So I used this app to reserve a spot in a parking lot in downtown Philadelphia Friday thru Sunday and when I showed up at the parking lot the attendant told me just because I use spot hero does not mean they will reserve me a spot nor will they refund me my money. And to add insult to injury I was to pay extra $15 because I drive a suburban. Called spot hero and they refused to refund me my money. Biggest piece of junk.

April 21 I had a spot hero spot reserved. once I got to the parking garage it was full and they were not taking anyone else so I have to drive around with a hour and a half before my flight took off to find another parking garage near by which they changed me 35.00 for a overnight parking . So when I got to the airport with almost 45 minutes to check in I called Spot hero to cancel the spot that I had for refund thank God My boarding pass had TSA.

I enjoyed using spot hero and the prices. One of their partner garages was giving out tickets that offered $15 off the next parking, but spot hero wouldn’t honor it saying “that promo is 3 years old.” No expiration date on the promo ticket. Another partner offered a spot that was a construction site with no where to actually park. Spot hero found me an alternative quickly. A solid 3/5 with good potential.

I’m sure the garage spots are fine but they should ensure that the private spaces are decently paved. If I didn’t have an SUV I would have bottomed out at least 6 times trying to get to the spot at the end of the alleyway. It did say it was an alleyway but it said nothing about how terrible the actual alleyway was..and most of the alleys I’ve seen in Boston are paved.
However I will say that they were quick to refund my money no questions asked when I called! Not sure if I’ll use it again..but they really should do a better job explaining the condition of the lots/parking spaces.

Collin, one of Spothero’s hero support representatives, guided me through my issue this morning so well that it seemed like something of a moral tale was occurring for stellar customer support, and overall general human communication, the entire time.
I had 2 reservations booked in Manhattan at separate locations. When something came up where couldn’t make it to the second location, which I already was supposed to have arrived to, I tried out Spothero support for the first time with grim expectations regarding any likelihood of a refund or credit exchange to my Spothero account (for some reason I was basing my pessimism on my past experiences of refund attempts at the physical parking garages).
Before mentioning that I’d already encroached into my second reserved time slot, blessedly, Collin mentioned how if the time of arrival hadn’t been met yet, I could cancel my reservation via the app, but if my expected time of arrival had already been crossed (today’s situation), we would then see our options for that scenario. After he brought this up, such peace of mind was had from his delivery that I noticed myself forgetting how to properly speak at sheer awe of the thought “now this is what I dreamed customer service should be.”
Finally, I was thoroughly satisfied with the 2 solutions he presented to me- that I could be refunded my order to my credit card on file or receive full credit for the total amount to my Spothero account for a future purchase. I went with the latter.
Who knew that memorable, above and beyond customer service could be had in a phone app?? Halelu-Yah!!!

I’ve used SpotHero before without issue but last week used it to book a garage in NYC. Within 24 hours my credit card was being used fraudulently. Had not used this card at ALL in months so absolutely certain the security breach was with SpotHero. The garage did not see or touch my car. Called SpotHero twice and the first time spoke with a very sympathetic rep who promised I’d be contacted back via with an update. Was not, no email whatsoever. I called again today and the conversation was quite different. “We do not store credit card information. We use Stripe”. If this is true then the headlines that Stripe has halted 4B in fraud must not be true.
Do yourself a favor and don’t trust this app with your credit card. I was offered a $15 credit as an apology. Thanks, but I’d rather just use another service and know my credit card information is secure.
Parking pass didn’t work 1/5
I purchased a parking pass and at the end of the night it did not work, after numerous attempts to contact the seller by phone I had to run my credit card to get out of the lot which resulted in paying for very expensive parking twice totaling $60 for the evening. I have attempted to contact them twice by email and got no response. Very disappointed and would not recommend.

This app is a lifesaver especially in a city like LA where parking is hard to come by. I’d give this app five stars for functionality and customer service. Unfortunately, the experience is lackluster when actually trying to park so it loses a couple of stars since after all, that is the point of this app. Most attendants seem unfamiliar with this app or how to redeem passes. I’ve been yelled at and kicked out of parking spots due to poor parking attendant knowledge and awareness. Work with management to better train parking staff and I’d give this app five stars.

Why? Why fix something that was not broken! Can’t view properly, can’t PRINT pass; filter; omg this stinks! & I used to use this friendly app weekly, I just booked my regular Monday spot (like I’ve been doing for 2 years) & it was such a nuisance! C’mon spot hero, I used to love you!
Awful customer service 1/5
I used Spothero for a monthly parking service in Baltimore. I started parking from the 18th of January, and the monthly parking required time to pay in full for the month. So I called up the customer service, and was told that my payment would be prorated when I finish my parking arrangement. With that in mind I stared my account and parked there until 5 April, so that’s less than three months of parking, and because of the nature of payments, I had paid for full 4 months. With the expectation of prorated charges, I called up the customer service, and I was told by the representative that she would need to talk to her supervisor and get back to me within a day. Two days and no contact later, I call again, and get a different representative, who does the same thing again. I had called up four times to hear the same story, about talking to their supervisor and getting back to me. On my 5th call in 6 days, I apparently caught a supervisor after ~20 min wait, who said that she was made aware of my case only that morning. She did promptly process the refund, but only for the month of April. This was apparently because I was expected to call in January for the refund of my payment in January.
So in effect, I paid for 17 days of parking for no reason but that a Spothero customer representative did not know that monthly parking was not prorated. Beyond that, as a customer service representative, if you tell the customer that you’ll get back to him, please do. This was by far the most incompetent and unprofessional customer service I have come across so far in this country. I most definitely am not going to be using Spothero again, and I’ll ensure that my friends and acquaintances know about my experience.
Cherry blossom festival paid $10 more 1/5
The DC cherry blossom festival suggested spot hero to find parking. The advertising for spot hero says you can save money. I show up at the parking garage only to find out that the max daily rate is $20 and I had spent $30 on spot hero. I feel totally ripped off and would not use the app again.

Hangs up on non-event parking search 3/5
I love the app, but there is one clear issue that I faced - at some cases "Loading " message never goes off, even though it shows spots on the background. No possibility to go back. Only happens when I choose one of my recent searches (Merchandise Mart, Chicago) and then "non-event parking"

It’s All About Time & Convenience 5/5
The best part about the SpotHero app is that you can know where you are parking and how much you paying before ever leaving the house. Not to mention, you often pay less using the app than if you just drove up to the garage/Lot. I use it whenever I commute to work and go downtown to meet friends. 5 Star experience every time!
