I had no time between working commission and going into rental. I had no idea what I was doing and how I was going to do it. A friend suggested Square and told me it would pretty much take care of everything as soon as I set it up. So. Correct. Build your menu. Send you link to guests. Set up you BOOK button on Instagram and wait for the appointments to fill your calendar. God send.

I have lost clients due to missing appointment because I’m not getting alerts or double booking because two calendars can’t be synced.

I’m a massage therapist and I just started my own business. One the biggest challenges that I’ve run into is client booking and then not showing up and me losing out on sales. This app helps with that. It can be made so clients have to put a card on file in order to book and hold a session for a reserved day and time, keeping the not so serious clients from wasting your time and charging a free for no shows with a cancellation policy. But, clients also have the option to remove their cars right after they book making the process unhelpful. I manually cancel sessions when clients remove their card from a reservation. I wish the app did that automatically. Also, the app doesn’t allow you to effective space out time between each session. Instead he had to add additional time on the back end of each session to create a time buffer between each session. That then makes the last time slot for your day unbookable but open for booking on your day bc the once 60min session that was intended to fit into your 60min slot that the client seeing the match in time but not the hidden additional time you added to the back end. So now your 90min won’t fit in the 60min slot you created for it.

I love using the same software for appointments and accounting. I wish the “Register” app and “Appointments” app worked together better, but they work well individually. For some reason the “Appointments” app does not connect to a card reader, so you have to go through the “Register” app to charge a card, then go back to “Appointments” and manually update the appointment for checkout.

I mostly love this app. It seems glitchy at times and I’m not sure if there are constant updates, but it seems like one day it’ll be doing something and then it changes to not doing it anymore. Like when you would pre-book someone’s next appointment , it used to save all the services so you didn’t have to manually enter them again.. that was a lost time saver. Otherwise, it’s been reliable and great at keeping track of everything I need it to keep track of .. and more!

Very easy and user friendly! Only note: is I would love the ability to choose what times are viewed on the day and week screens. Example; 8am-8pm instead of 12am-11:59pm. And maybe what days like I work Tuesdays through Saturdays.

This app is MY LIFE and love how easy it is for me and my clients.
It keeps asking me to connect to Bluetooth and that gets annoying when I open it. But not a terrible issue.
I wish it had a “week” scheduling option. If my client needs to schedule 4 weeks out it would be nice to see 4 weeks, right now I have to open my personal calendar and count. Not a big deal, just an extra thing.
One more suggestion. I can’t always see the calendar view.

This app is so easy to navigate once it is all set up. I have been using vagaro for about 4 years and thought I would switch since I use square payments to make things easier. I really like this app but it is missing a few features. One being it doesn’t have to option to switch weeks, you have to actually go to the calendar to go to the week you want and the other being, you set a schedule and if you want to change the schedule, it is more difficult than vagaro. I love the online booking.... much easier to navigate for customers. I also love that you can set up email or text reminders for your clients... just like vagaro. I would give it 5 stars if it had those few extra features. I am happy with my switch! Makes checking out a breeze!

I just downloaded & set up the app. Haven’t used it yet, but it was an easy set up. The only problem is that I can’t get the little “tap and hold” message off my calendar screen. It has to be on the list setting for it to go away. I’d like to be able to view by day or week without having that little message in my way. Other than that, everything looks okay so far. Can’t wait to actually use it.

I have been using square since 2016. Its easy to understand and they are upfront about fees. When calling the help desk they are very professional and take the time to understand. I havnt had any issues with payment and my clients love the square stand and think it is pretty cool. So do I! I am a hairstylist so I see a lot of people and so far all of them understand how to use it too. Thanks square for an easy and good flow system. Live square capital too which is a great option to have if you need it! 😀

I’m a barber , and I use this app for my clients to be able to book online. I have never had any issues , I can accept card payments and easily communicate with clients. The app is free which is amazing since other barbers in my shop pay for half of what I get here. Recommend to anybody

I love Square but I wish they had a better rate for 2 member scheduling. $50 is too much to add a back up employee but other than that. I love it. It works best for my small business.
Square Company is not helpful and charged me without my authorization!!!!! 1/5
This square company took out money from my account instead of depositing money without any authorization just because it thought that my account was connected to a some other fraud account. Then they had the nerve to send me an email to advise why they had taken out this money from my account and then 2 seconds after they send this email they retracted it and erased the email. They are providing a terrible experience to a customer without any knowledgeable and helpful solutions. I will get to the bottom of this and get my money back from square as what they are doing is not correct for a business.

I recently switched my entire company’s processing over to square. The appointments app specifically has made log so much easier. It’s very user friendly. I learned how to maintain it quickly. The only issue I have is, you’re not yet allowed to book multiple quantities of the same service yet. But other than that, i HIGHLY recommend it for any growing small businesses.

I love that Square offers a free appointment scheduling app, but I wish there were some options that would make it better.
~ My number one wish would be for the app to keep track of tipping on all forms of payment, not just credit cards.
~ It would also be nice if you could drag and drop to reschedule appointments.
~ A button for moving ahead/back one (or more) week(s) at a time would help with rebooking future appointments.
~ When editing the price of a service (or any field of info) on the main list of services it should update the price on any already booked future appointments. As it is now, if I change the price then I have to delete and rebook any future appointments.
Please consider making these changes, especially the tip tracking. This will make bookkeeping so much easier!

Clients not receiving appt reminders 4/5
Is anyone having issues with clients not receiving the confirmed appt when you schedule the appt or the reminder appt notices. I have had several clients not receive either but was receiving them before. I have contacted Sauare and they told me to update the app but the app is updated. Does anyone know if it is a carrier issue. I’m with Verizon and some of my clients who aren’t receiving any notices are with ATT. Any helpful information would be appreciated

I am a business owner of 9 years and Square by far has been one of the best investments on the front end of things. Fees are up front and taken out immediately instead of a large charge at the beginning of the month. They are cheeper then the large systems, don’t let the big companies sales pitch you on something else with lower service fees (they are full of ... well you get the point) You will like the easy to use set up and enough how to videos that even my kid can use it.

The Best Salon Scheduling Software 5/5
Wow!! I never new it could all be so simple. Instead of tryin to be my own secretary, or virtual assistant - this app has made my job as a Barber so much easier! I never double book anymore. I don’t have to stop what I’m doing to answer a call or text about making an appointment.
At first I was reluctant to use it. But the reaction from my customers was great!!! Everyone preferred being able to make their own appointment instead of having to wait for me to get back to them!!! I’ve gain more clients!!!! Give it a try and see for yourself!!!
As for me I’m booked for the next two weeks !!! Lol
So uttefly thankful for this appirdresser and this app is good so far but would be even better if it allowed you to create appointments with gaps of time between services for clients but still able to check out multiple services at once. Overall happy. for instance (15min appointment to apply color) (45 min open time for processing) (45min appointment for haircut blow
If it allowed this then it where that processing time is it would make it easy to book another service during that down time.

You cannot check out multiple service providers on one ticket!!! This app is in need of a serious upgrade!!! I was using it as an individual stylist and it’s great for that, but if you have more than 1 employee, be prepared to ring up your customers ALOT! So ridiculous.
I now have an apprentice who works with me. I was looking forward to a smooth transition by bringing her along but I literally had no choice but to change my entire booking system because square is incapable of having 2 stylist tickets at once! You see, if she helps me with a client, I have to ring up my client twice because there is no option to check out both services or add 2 tips under one transaction! Very very annoying. I really hope they correct this! I’ve read so many forums and salon owners have no choice but to go to other programs! Cmon square!

Love the app. However, everything doesn’t sync with the partnering apps (Invoices). Clients address was saved in the invoice, but there was no where to see it in the actual appointment that was made. I’m a traveling skin therapist, so this is a major issue for me & my business.

Clients are constantly asking if there’s an app they can download to use this. The link gets so annoying to copy and paste it to a text because they keep forgetting , also square is touchy with its reminder text , some clients receive, some don’t. Frustrating
