They charged ME $20 in fees for two invoices from customers totaling $675 in one week! No Thank you! You’re not making $80/month of my hard earned money so I can collect money I can otherwise get from my customers FOR FREE using cash app or Venmo, etc. Sure it may not look as nice, but I get to keep my $80! Shove this app where the sun don’t shine!!!

I’m not happy with the readers as they don’t work when I need them to and they don’t work after following the instructions and the prompts. I can use my own cards but not my customers. Ridiculous

I love square, they love their customers, you can tell because of how intuitive the app and flows are. Some things are clunky, but it’s perfect for me.

A “Customer” used multiple cards to fraud square invoices easily. There was a disclaimer in the body of the email of which I look for before I dispatch. The email subject stated “customer paid invoice!”
The only difference between that and a normal invoice is the exclamation point.
I look thru the emails after services were performed as the customer just feels “off” and in the body of the email it states that the customer used multiple cards and multiple zip codes. To pay the invoices. If square knows that information and that looks like fraud, can they not add a stop, pause, or hold to the transaction. Maybe even a warning and a button I could click to stop the transaction or throw all caution to the wind and go ahead any way. Either way a more efficient warning would goa long way, and more visibility on card information the customers put in the invoice so that I can make my own fraud assessment.
If square would make those changes or create those features I would change my rating to 5 as it was great to use until this happened.
Did square invoices stop the transactions (nope)
Did they call me or alert me (nope) ( kinda i guess an ! Means they did )
Did I lose out on my time and materials (yup)
Can I dispute the chargeback yes, will I win I doubt it unless it really wasn’t a fraud.

Square Invoices has been great for my business. It’s super easy to use. I almost gave it 4 stars due to some improvements that could be made but overall I am very pleased. It would be great if there was an easy way to select specific line items to invoice. And same on the invoice side if you could pick line items to convert to invoice.

Lack of customer service and a step by step set up to ensure the security of account. Will literally help you create a legitimate business and then shut it down for little to no reason and no valid evidence. DO NOT USE IF YOU ARE LOOKING TO START A SMALL BUSINESS. They will
shut you down and then block you out from getting customer service

need help on the sequence of entering a sale.Your instructions say one thing but can’t find it on the cellphone.Does estimate, invoice, or price go first.Also i can’t make a foxed percentage for sales tax which is no
problem due to parts only are taxed not charged labor.I will continue to attempt small charges to learn how without your foreign speaking support.After 3 more attempts to quickly make a customer charge I shall call support until I reach an English speaking agent

I’m a consultant and my clients wanted to pay by credit card. Square seemed easy enough. Created and account, sent the invoice, client paid, but then the money never came.
Square held my payment, saying I didn’t have account history—obviously I had just signed up with Square. Then they required deeply personal financial info (not business related). When I asked why, Square sent me a terse email, closed my account, and said the decision was final. They refused to talk with me on the phone or reply to email. Felt like a scam.
I wasted two weeks trying to get Square to process a simple CC transaction. I had to apologize to my client, refund their money, and start over with another payment processor. ... I signed up PayPal and everything went smoothly. Never doing business with Square again.

I like Square and I’ve been using it for a while so this was necessary. I think the only thing missing is a push notification when I receive a payment. To me that should be standard but apparently not.... I can’t keep checking the app and clicking “balance” when I want to see my sales.

It appears you can’t send contract templates for attaching contracts. Instead it only lets you attach a contract already filled out by customer - which needs to be created in dashboard. Why is this?
I’d like to be able to do all my work from the app and send a generic contract to a customer I want to send an estimate to.
I really need this feature to be available on the app to simplify my business and let me use the app from beginning to end of cycle on a project.
App looks great otherwise. Once this becomes available I will change my rating to 5 stars!

I really love the Square invoicing app. I would have rated at 5 stars but the only difficulty that arises, I cannot add pictures of the Equine that I transport after the payment is made. It will not allow me to add attachments and a lot of my customers pay in full before pickup. Otherwise, the Square app is easily filled out with plenty of different options.

I’m not a fan of their updates which has caused an inconvenience to say the least. I used to be able to do a date range in order to see my sales in real time, but now it’s been “updated” which took this option away. I called customer service and was told app access is limited and more options are available if I go online with a PC. Such as inconvenience!!!

Be aware that if you talk to clients with headphones on, open the Invoices app, and then complete the call, the app will send a piercing sound into your head that will f you up.
This is the loudest noise I’ve ever heard, made me feel nauseated and dizzy. This is lazy programming at its worst - damaging, and totally unnecessary.

This app held several payments causing my business to get bad reviews and can’t pay my employees
I set one star because have no way to select zero. We receive two payments yesterday. With a full amount of $3400, they lock our account and ask for documents, we sent these documents and now the said out account is deactivated and our money will be in hold by three months. Read it, do not use that junk app!
