The app seems to work as intended. It displays timecards in an easily readable fashion, accurately showing times clocked in and hours worked (regular, overtime, double time, and total). The timecards section also offers a feature to allow you to view your hours worked over a user-selected period of days. This helpful feature can also be found in the paystubs section. Here, paystubs are presented so that pertinent information is easily located with detailed breakdowns of pay and taxes found at the press of an arrow. The app also offers an option to download a PDF version of your paystubs. While these two sections seem to serve their purpose well, the scheduling part of the app leaves much to be desired. There are options to set your availability, but not by date, only day of the week. This leads to team members having to set availability week by week should they need to report availability accurately through the app. Additionally, there is no option to make yourself unavailable on a day or future date. That is to say, the scheduling aspect of the app could be improved by adding features to allow you to make yourself unavailable and to set your availability by date and not day of the week. I also think as a “team app”, the app should offer a messaging system for communicating with your team. There also seems to be no option to integrate your schedule with your Apple Calendar.
Needs many features to compete with others 2/5
For the most part it works okay for the employees. As a manager the app doesn’t show me who is clocked in or allow me to edit time cards. That’s info I need daily and I have to login to the web site to get it. You can’t request off, only availability. We have to use a spreadsheet...in 2021. Time tracking in general needs work. I can’t reorder list of workers to make visualizing the schedule easier. Homebase is pretty much the same cost with more features and I regret switching. I really hope Square is pouring resources into making this better.

My major issue with this is two fold for part time employees:
1. Availability shouldn’t be regular/recurring. It makes us still have to track days off manually. Part timers don’t have consistent availability
2. It would be more helpful if they could enter all the days they aren’t available on a calendar, date specific basis. I’d love if my employees could tell me all the dates they CANT work for the next month, not times they’d prefer to

I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled this app 5 times and I cannot see my timecard at all. Doesn’t even give an option to see timecard only paystubs. I have no idea how many hours I worked. I can’t get into contact with anyone from square. Very frustrating
No way to add bank Account 1/5
I have installed and reinstalled this app and still there is no way to add my bank information for my employer to pay me. It works fine for androids but not for iPhone. What am I missing? Please tell me how to enter my bank information!

Every time I open the app it says their working on things and that’s it. Can’t do anything, have to close the app. Please fix.
App used to work great. For weeks now it says “oops, we are experiencing a problem on our end”. I’ve deleted and reinstalled. Super frustrated
It would be great if team members could see the notes in their schedule since that’s how we assign areas in the restaurant and if owners could see everyone’s schedule.

Whenever I login to the app, an error appears saying that there is “an issue on our side” when I know that my coworkers, who work in the same area with the same service, are able to login fine with the ability to clock in.

Love app but need Touch ID 2/5
I loved this app, it helped me keep track of my hours and income. Today I saw that I no longer have the option to sign in with Touch ID which is a problem for me when I want to do a quick check or when I forget my password which happens a lot. If it weren’t for this, I would have given it 5 stars because I had no issues before this.

The app works great most times, it is clear on the paystubs and how much I’ve earned but every time I want to use it I get signed out. I have Face ID set up and the app used to use that to sign in but recently it’s been signing me out and forgetting Face ID so I need to type my email and password every time I use it. It isn’t a terrible issue just very annoying after the 29th time of doing so this week.

Great app helps me clock in and out no problems.
My only complaint is that I no longer get the option to use the Touch ID to sign in and I have to manually type my info every single time. It’s becoming rather frustrating! I’m keeping the 5 star review to be nice but another week of typing that info in 4 times a day and I’m going to delete the app
App is great keeps making me log in every time. Before the update I could just use face Recognition now there is no option. Please fix this ASAP.

I’m trying to look back at my time records and all I can find a pay stubs. The app doesn’t let me look up anything I really need other than weekly paystub
The app is good for clocking in and out, but none of the buttons on the bottom of the screen work (and haven’t for months). It makes it very difficult to move between pages within the app to see time cards, paystubs, your information... super annoying.

I have started using this app and there are glitches. I can’t press the home button or the other. I have uninstalled and reinstalled it to check. How am I supposed to clock in if the app doesn’t work.
Can’t log in if you’re a minor 2/5
So the app is great and seems to work pretty well other than the fact you have to be 18, being 16 and having a job where this is used is hard to get logged in and get your paycheck. To get logged in being a minor I had to have my employer enter all my banking information and basically create a whole new account it’s frustrating that I can’t create it myself and had to give someone else my bank account info. I would love the app if that changed bc so much if part time workers are 16-17 years old and having to go to your employer to get it set up is a pain.

Would be a great app without some basic interface problems. The bottom buttons (home, timecard, and paystub) don’t work, so I have to restart if I want to switch between tabs. It also won’t scroll past a certain point, as if only the top of the page is scroll sensitive. This is on iOS 12.4.5.
Signing in is annoying because it won’t remember your username and password, even with touch to sign in, and I find myself having to sign in at least once a day.
Love the convenience of being able to clock in at different locations, but I wish I could see my shift and timecard breakdown on the desktop version of Square, because the buggy interface makes these functions virtually unusable in this app.

I am a employee of someone who uses square team app and I use to like it then it changed on me and the other 3 employees. I can no longer track my hours or clock in or out on the app. I tried to find a contact support but there was none for just a employee. I hate how I have to have 2 different apps for keeping track of my hours, at this point I will just delete the team app and keep using HoursTracker because that never fails me.
The app is always crashing, constantly doesn’t read clocking in or out. Alway signing us out. It’s very frustrating.

Wonderful app, definitely does everything it was designed for smoothly with incredibly well laid out pages. HOWEVER I also have to use Square Appointments and I wish that I did not have to switch back and forth a dozen times just to have the calendar and its tools. However, I understand that’s not what this app was designed for and otherwise deserves 5 stars. I just wish there was a way to enable the tools from other apps so I can just use this one and not have to switch back and forth.
What is square doing with the money between the time that its posted and the time that it shows up in my account...days...many many days
