Staying at Sheraton. I can connect no problem, but there is no way to stream to the tv. There is no channel in the guide, nor is there any other visible way to stream. I’m tech savvy and this is trash.

But then I read someone else’s review that explained how to make it work! I will say that the instructions were lacking in my hotel (Hyatt) and without coming to read reviews I would have literally never known how to do this.
1. Download the app
2. Connect to hotel wifi
3. Connect the app to the Google chromecast option on your tv
4. Once the app is connected and is functioning as a remote, leave the app and open your preferred streaming service app
5. Find what you want to watch and select the Cast icon and your TV will appear!!
I had to disconnect and reconnect once, but after that it worked great all week. Hope this helps someone else.

This app lets you change the channel, change the volume, and power off the TV. Something the TV remote also does. This app is entirely redundant and useless.

Worthless. It’s just a remote with no casting. You needed a remote to get the tv to hook up the app. You already had a remote.

This app functions as a remote for the most part. However, the Chromecast functionality is non-existent. It did not work on either of our TVs at the Fairmont. At $2K a night (twice as much as the Hyatt), they can’t even get Chromecast to work in this janky app.

I feel like people who can’t connect are inept at following directions. Click “google chromecast” on your hotel tv guide and follow the directions closely. (They will ask you to join a specific WiFi). Then All you need to do is open a streaming app on your phone, and click the streamcast button. It really is that simple.

No casting abilities. Worthless use of an app, because the room remote is enough. If you’re going to make a remote app, make it so that you can cast to the TV. Whoever said it does cast, that’s not the case for everyone else. This was for Hilton hotel. Would not recommend at all.

Who wants to watch the boring channels on hotel TV? We all want to stream from our own devices and watch what WE want…so I travel with a Chromecast. This app won’t do it…

I am in disbelief that a software developer actually went through the motions of creating this App. You download it to your phone, only to use your phone exactly like the TV remote that you already had in your hand… You can’t cast your phone to your TV, can’t watch YouTube, can’t play movies, nothing from your phone. You download their trashy app to use your phone as a remote control to watch Cable TV (with the actual remote that you NEEDED to connect your phone, uselessly sitting by you). Major fail, 0/10 rating. Are they brain dead???

After trying for over 30 mins, the only thing the app could do was change the volume on the hotel tv and even that was accomplished after a long delay. Total waste of time.

Works as advertised. Let me change channels and volume in my hotel room. Still have to touch the remote to do the pairing thing otherwise good.
