Expensive and demographically relevant 2/5
Over priced for what you get.
Diet plan is difficult and expensive to manage. Food ingredients are different for every meal as well as for every day. The app (at least mine) wouldn’t allow me look ahead for the next days recipes. It was nice that they give you a shopping list but the items are things that only people in LA might have easy access to.
Secondly, they don’t cater the diets to body size: aka the diet they provide is one size fits all.
The worksouts were ones they all already post on their instagrams.
Not worth 119 dollars. They also don’t give you the option to pay monthly despite a monthly payment of 19.99 a month being their main advertisement.
Pluses: they allow you to choose the body type you want and give you workouts based on that and give you a weekly goal of cardio and core workouts.
The apps has diets for pescatarians (the reason I wanted to try it) as well as other diet styles and the food recipes they provide are new and not played out.
NO EXCUSES if you have this app! 5/5

I love this app! Kelsey’s PWR program is the best program I’ve ever done. I love that it has videos of each exercise along with an explanation so I can have good form. However, I do wish it had a way to track the amount of weight I use in each exercise bc I forget week to week.
Love how easy it is to navigate through and keep track of my progress! All the additional features, such as the meal suggestions, are amazing!

This would be great to get playlists from amazon music too. And to not have to type in how much weight and such when doing challenges before going to the next workout. It’s a pain.

The app, while a great workout resource, offers no support. I wanted to do the 7 day free trial, but it was too expensive so I cancelled and deleted the app but it somehow still charged me the full subscription. They have no desire to refund me even though the app glitched. Only get this app if you want to purchase, otherwise you will be charged.

Great app!! Love it. Only wish sometimes it had more work outs without any equipment/weights to do on a week of vacation, etc! Or some modifications of jumping if you’re knees are bad, etc. really motivates me every week to keep going

I look forward to working out in this app. Not only are the moves effective, but they also help me in endurance in other areas, such as running and yoga. The short timing of the workouts are an added bonus (who isn't busy?). I also love how I'll be doing these moves on the app and have my own community that I know does it too!! This is such an awesome app! They’ve thought of every single thing down to the music. You’re given all the tools to lose weight or to tone up depending on what you want to do. Different programs available and a nutrition guide! Grocery lists, meal instructions, and different options daily and weekly.

I’ve used this app on and off for the past two years. When I first started using it I was going to the gym. I loved that I didn’t have to plan my workouts and I didn’t have to wonder around the gym trying to think of ideas. We recently moved to a more rural area without a gym. We purchased a home gym (squat rack, free weights and other random accessories), I’ve been able to use this app and get a workout that is equally as effective! I’ve tried other apps and programs but I always come back! I recommend it to everyone!!

Love love love this app. I only use the Kelsey Wells portion but I’m in love. No more planning for my gym time. Just show up, pull out my phone, and get to work!
***EDITED TO ADD: THIS WAS UPDATED AND YOU CAN NOW SKIP A SINGLE SET OF EXERCISES*** The one feature I REALLY wish this app had was the ability to skip a certain section of the workout. For instance...in a circuit section there will be 4 exercises and you do them in pairs. Every once in a while there’s an exercise where I don’t have the available equipment or I can’t do that specific exercise because of an injury. I usually throw in a modifier, but I WISH you could skip just that set and get to the next pair. You have to wait through the timer (sometimes around 6 minutes) before seeing the next exercises. OR skip the circuit completely. Anyway, a minor thing I wish the app had.
It would also be great if there were a section to keep stats. I have a hard time remembering where I was/am on each lift and I don’t want to toggle to a separate app to check it. A built in feature would be suuuuuper cool!

Many, many years ago, I downloaded this app in error. I immediately cancelled my subscription and unsubscribed from all email lists. Since then, every few months I get another round of emails. I follow the same routine of unsubscribing from ALL, but-the cycle continues. Please leave me alone. I don’t wont another email from you guys, ever. Please?

I wish they added a notes section to record weights each week. I have to keep track of it on my own. Also, the app hangs often and if you exit the app even for a second, you’ll need to start the whole workout again.

I started using Sweat App when I began my fitness journey. I didn’t like going to the gym and I was educated on equipment or particular exercises moves. With sweat app there are different programs that involve fitness equipment or just work outs at home. I absolutely love this app. I can plan an entire week that include cardio, full body work outs, recovery days. There’s also a nutrition guide which provide really great ideas for snacks and to help stay on track. Ive deleted this app a couple times while trying out other fitness programs. However, I always come back to this app because it provides everything for me! If you’re wanting to start out your journey, get this app. Then follow them on instagram! I stay inspired and motivated because I see what these woman do for this app and the people using them! It’s a great community to be a part of.

Favorite workout app for sure, I love the workouts - they’re relatively quick and intense and totally doable! There’s also a food plan for everyone and a handy planner that makes it easy to plan your week in workouts. Love it
Super repetitive workouts 3/5
I like the concept but the app has some flaws for me. First, the workouts are super repetitive. It’s like each trainer has a repertoire of only 4-5 exercises per body part. Second, it assumes you have a lot of time to spend at the gym. The workouts are not functional or efficient so rather than combining cardio with strength training, for example, you have to do them both separately, which doubles the time you spend at the gym. Lastly, I do not find aspects of the app design to be intuitive and there’s not a whole lot of room for customization.
Overall, I like it but would like it more if it offered more variety. After 8 weeks, I’m getting really bored. For the price, I would have expected more.
Actually motivated to follow these workouts because I can literally do them anywhere. Love the variety and feel stronger every day. First 40 days down, looking forward to getting stronger and healthier day by day!

I absolutely love this app. I’ve subscribed on and off for years but this year the changes they made to the programs/functionality changed the game for me and eliminated any past frustration I had with it. I LOVE Kelsey Wells PWR program but I also love how easy it is to mix it up with a workout from another program, complete a challenge, or get in a quick but complete workout.

I really just enjoy this app, it makes me feel like working out is easy and fun. There are built in playlists of awesome music that help get me going on the cardio workouts, there is a step tracker and timer that helps you stay on top of your cardio, there are countless videos teaching you how to do the different matt workouts. And the positive notes and community make it so fun. I truly love this. Also it’s worth the money because there are no pop ups or ads, it’s good quality! I love Kayla, she’s a rockstar!
One of my favorite apps. Very easy to follow! Sometimes the volume permanently lowers between exercises, but that’s my only gripe.

I am currently entering my third week of BBG. So early on this is more about the interface than my results.
Pros: I like the week planning and the work outs. It’s a circuit but you can go as fast as you need to go. This is my second week and so far I can complete two laps per circuit. I expect to be able to do the rounds much faster as I lose weight. If you’ll use it the food part looks ok, I can’t comment on it bc I count calories / track macros with MyFitnessPal...if I could do that on this app maybe I would use it
Cons: I wish the app kept actual metrics over time. I can’t see how many laps I did, what does that equal in squats etc. I’ve started my own excel sheet to track and see how many reps I can actually complete from now and a year from now. If I was able to tap on a work out from the past and see what I did that would be very helpful.
Secondly, if sweat and Fitbit could sync I would be so happy. While I like that the app doesn’t rush you, it’s also a pain to have my phone and tap between exercises when I wish I could just do it on my wrist.

As somebody who has been using the app on and off depending on my schedule since the guides— these programs are effective and work.
What I think could benefit the app below may just take the app to the next level 👌🏻:
-incorporating two new instructors— one for Pilates( love Sjana’s yoga, but sometimes wish there was a bit more than just yoga, pilates could majorly help!) and another for RUNNING! 😵 omg. I’d kill for that in the app. To be able to have a trainer that incorporates drills similar to the other trainers but for 5ks, 10ks, and beyond? It’d be sick!
-speaking of Sjana’s program from earlier— I wish that she’d expand! I like incorporating her yoga routines for days that I’m just too sore for anything else. If anything, just having her have a challenge for different poses like headstands, crow poses, and more (especially since she showcases these on her incredible instagram).
-for all of the gym-rat babies using Stronger, PWR, Fierce, or Build— it would be amazing if we could cater to what machines we have in our home gyms— no resistance machine? No problem— want to switch out for the Smith Machine and you have a Chest Press Machin in front of you? Go for it! This also could help with waiting around for machines that aren’t available when you just need to get out of the gym!
- for the nutrition components— the recipes repeat a lot and most of the time are so all over the place with ingredients that my bank account could break getting everything 😬 I think having a developer and nutritionist who could build SOLID meal plans for the week that even include meal-prep guides using similar ingredients throughout the week and incorporate leftovers?! 🙀 I’d use it all the time. Like every day.
-I think sweat has seen me already post about standing around at the gym waiting for something, but just to repeat, a lot of the time I can’t do the circuits they need me to simply because I’d be hogging the equipment from other people who need to use it 😬 a standby option would be super helpful here
-the warm-ups and cool-downs REALLY have to have a timer alarm option the way they do in the app. I get distracted while stretching and sometimes need somebody to tell me to move on.
-something to track previous weights to show improvements and something to help gauge what weight we could/should be using based on our starting point, and maybe an option to turn it off if somebody wants to go at their own pace
-challenge skills! Like pull-ups or jump boxes! 😍 and the ability to start at lower levels and build up from there!
Guys, I love Sweat and all the people that encompass it— these are just suggestions that I think could REALLY improve it. I wish I could give 4.5 stars, but for right now? This should suffice.

I love this app, takes the guesswork out of working out - just watch the videos and follow the plan! I like that there are different options too so you don’t need access to a gym all the time but it can also guide you when you do have equipment available. Basically a personal trainer in your pocket!
This app is extremely frustrating and not worth the money when you can easily go to Instagram and find a workout routine. I love that I can see the demonstration of the workout. However, it jumps immediately to the next workout with the clock still ticking meaning I’m wasting time watching what I need to do and trying to grab equipment suddenly. You can pause it, but how is that helpful to cover up the workout I’m trying to watch before completing it myself? I’m sure it’s great when you’ve been doing the program for awhile and know the routine. Also, I’d assume that while it has a trainer talking and a timer going it would notify me when 30 seconds is up on a certain workout like a plank? When I look to start the cool down routine, it just starts the workout over! The workouts are hard for beginners even though it’s ‘beginner’. I have terrible knees and I look for alternatives when it comes to knee ups, so I waste more time on the clock trying to find something else to do. “Alternative” just suggests something more challenging. You definitely have to figure out on your own how to guide yourself through the app as well as the workouts. The community board is useless trying to search for specific questions. As for the ‘progress’ not everyone cares to take pictures, it’d be great to track weight progress and measurements w/o requiring a photo.

This app has allowed me to be consistent in my program. I had followed others, however never saw the results. Have been using for about 3 months and have lost 15lbs and am getting so much stronger. Highly recommend!
