Apple Watch app 4/5
Love it, got me back into fitness and has made me a genuinely happy person. Just one thing, wish it worked better on the Apple Watch. Every time I do it on the Apple Watch it always crashes or won’t let me switch workouts for a while etc. but other than that love the app
Awesome App 5/5
This app is easy to use, well designed and definitively motivates you to work out. Could not recommend it more!
This app auto charges me $20 ! 1/5
I’m on the 7th day of the free week but I signed up at 8 pm last week and not even close to the time it auto charged $20 ! What a ripoff
Impossible to do Yoga W/o Sound 1/5
By A. Arroyo
I was excited to try this app for the yoga as I’m pregnant. I follow Kayla on insta. However you need to look at your phone every 20 seconds to SEE what the next pose is. It does not dictate it through the phone. So you do child pose hold for 20 seconds, look at phone, vinyasa flow, look at flow, sun salutation, look at phone, etc etc. How did their app designer and Kayla think this was a good experience?!
Great app 4/5
I love this app! My only suggestion would be an option for meal plans with 3 meals per day to make it easier to follow. 6 meals is a lot to keep up with!
I love this app 5/5
I recommend this to everyone I know. The app is amazing. One thing I would love to see adjusted is the food portion of the app. I really try and use it but it’s hard. I would like to be able to adjust the servings and see a few more substitutes for things that may be out of season where I am. :) thank you!!

This is my second month that they are still charging me for a subscription that I cancelled
It’s good but needs improvement 2/5
By Reader rasa
I got this app bc of all the buzz and great reviews! This app is very confusing, I’m very tech savvy I used to work with computers and cell phones so I’d say I know more about technology than the average person. When you first open the app it has all these sections ( post baby, flow resistance, power, etc....) I thought I had to do all of those as part of the program. When I first signed up I chose the BBG so I was so confused as to why all these other workouts were coming up! So I figured that out and then the workout program I chose is specifically for at home where you don’t need equipment . So when it’s telling me to jump rope I don’t have that and I’m in my house, and telling me I need a bench I can’t do those workouts either. And then I press for alternatives and all of those include the equipment I don’t have too. This is very frustrating so I have to do complete alternatives. Lastly, some of these workout don’t have easier options. I hurt my back recently and some of these exercises I can’t do yet and it gives no easier or back friendly alternatives. And sometimes this is the entire workout so it’s really a bummer. I mean even if you guys included a Pilates based program that would be great for the back. So on those days I go on the Fit Radio app which is an amazing alternative and have multiple different options so even if your hurt they still have a workout for you.
Great program 5/5
BBG is a great program, especially the 30 minute work outs. If you’re looking to kick your metabolism into gear, this will do it.
Deceptive Billing 1/5
Overpriced and deceptive billing practices.
Fraudulent customer service 1/5
Terrible customer service. If you forget your login information and request them to cancel your membership because you can’t figure out how to cancel your membership they will still charge you money anyways. And then tell you it’s your fault that you didn’t cancel the membership. How the hell am I supposed to cancel it when I don’t even know my log in information and don’t even remember signing up for this said membership. Fraudulent!!!!!!
I love the program 3/5
I love the program, i love the work outs, the meals, i love the variety.. i just wish the app was a little different, i have to record my weight somewhere else other than this app and i use to be able to use it with my apple watch, but now i cannot get it to work with my watch, everything else works on my watch. The biggest thing is not being able to use it with my watch. I loved that feature when i could get it to work.
This app is fabulous! Fat melter for sure! 5/5
Would recommend! If your looking to tone and feel great, this is for you.
Please fix the bugs! 2/5
The workouts are convenient and challenging; however, for $20/month I would expect the app to be a little less clunky and free of bugs. It’s frustrating when you’re mid-workout and a timer won’t start or you’re not able to mark an exercise complete and move on to the next series.
Glitches and Freezes 1/5
I can’t even get past the 2nd week of the Legs and Abs day on the power workout because it freezes. I’ve restarted the app multiple times and it won’t resolve it.
I am sore again 5/5
I have been doing intense workouts for the past 10 years, however after my surgery, I cancelled my regular gym membership and started doing workouts on my own. I still do intense workouts, but something was missing. I am week one and I am sore everywhere. Ever with personal trainers, I’ve been missing the pain and it’s back! Thank you Kayla! I wish it was a better pricing option, but it’s worth it, at least for now.
Do NOT, I repeat DO NOT waste your money on this subscription. Faulty and terribly built app... Customer service representatives are not helpful at all. VERY disappointed.
No offline mode 2/5
Exercises might be good, but the app needs work.
Doesn’t work offline, nor in landscape mode.
Diet plan is very soy heavy.
Love this! 5/5
Best workout ever - immediate results and great tracking of progress. I'm completely obsessed!!!!
WARNING - CHARGED AFTER CANCELLED ACCOUNT 1/5
warning to all users - cancelling subscription in app DOES NOT WORK. Was fraudulently charged for several months after I cancelled.
Do NOT even get the “free” trial! 1/5
It is a total scam! I downloaded the app when they had a deal for the 3 month trial. I cancelled the trial because I wasn’t using the app. Yesterday I was charged 19.99 so I contacted their customer support and of course they are no help, nothing could be done to get a refund. How is it possible to not be able to get a refund!?? Horrible customer support, if you could even call it that!
DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THIS 1/5
This company charged me without my permission for $129 and they claim is non-refundable. It’s run unethically and should be shut down!
Great workouts! The app however, could use some fine tuning, it’s not user friendly. It also requires you to input your payment information prior to navigating through its application, which I think is unnecessary. Once woman see the different workouts, and do one or two of them, the decision will be clear. I unfortunately would not continue this program due to its high cost per month, but it’s definitely worth trying. Once you bypass the confusing aspect of the app, they do have some really good workouts. I haven’t been this sore in awhile, and they are definitely challenging with simple exercises anyone could do. Even better, all this can be done in the comfort of your own home.
Love it 5/5
Really easy to use, and love the workouts!
Good workouts but... 4/5
Completed workouts often do not sync in activity tab...annoying
Be careful when signing up 1/5
When signing up they will renew your subscription without any given notice, charge your credit card $20, and absolutely refuse any refunds. Customer support is absolutely useless and they do not care about being reputable. After dealing with 2 different “support staff” through various emails still no help. They don’t even offer a phone number and try to keep you from contacting them for any support.
Awesome Fitness App 5/5
I love this app!! I enjoy the different workouts, and the videos thats comes with each workout! The Daily food plans are great ! Overall great app especially for women!!
Really motivated 4/5
I really like this app and all the features. It makes me motivated and i want to keep doing it. I would really like if there was a feature for the food category. So say you didn’t eat the recommended meal one day but you still wanted to log what you ate that would be nice. If you could add a feature where you can log the food you ate. Also if there was a feature that all the favorited food items on the app would go. Just like a list of all the meals you have starred in case you wanted to go back and make that meal again which i assume is what the started feature is for.
LOVE THIS APP! And Kayla! 5/5
These workouts are fun, short and really get your heart rate up! I love that you can go back and forth with all the different programs and how easy the app is to use! Thank you Sweat! You’ve changed my life for the better. 💕✨💪🏼
Disappointed with canceling process 1/5
Didn’t actually use the app, just EXTREMELY disappointed that they make the cancellation process so tricky. I didn’t even have time to try it and couldn’t figure out how to cancel so I was charged $20. Finally found an article on how to cancel, could barely follow the instructions.
App works on watch 2/5
But requires WiFi/cellular service for iPhone? Why can’t the app be used offline on the iPhone or iPad? Please update the app so it can be used offline. Other workout apps with one time fee and optional subscription for upgraded services allow the app to be used offline.
Above review still stands. Disappointing that nothing has been updated to allow subscribers to access the workout on Apple Watch app without WiFi/cellular service.
Cool down on Apple Watch is stuck on showing Calves and Hamstring stretch - even if you move into quads or some other stretch, it only shows you the same Calves and Hamstring stretch.
I really want to be able to use this app on my Apple Watch without having to switch to my iPhone in the middle of the workout.
Fix the yoga component 3/5
Please fix the yoga component of this app. While it’s great to have a couple video examples of poses, the point of a vinyasa flow is to link movement to breath. It is impossible to do that when you have to look down at your phone screen to watch a “sequence” and click a next button every minute and a half. I imagine people who have never done yoga have an extremely difficult time following these workouts or getting the intended benefits of yoga out of them.
One suggestion would be to film Sjana doing guided classes with an option to hear the audio of her cuing poses - audio cues for poses would by itself be a massive improvement to the content you already have.
Not FREE 1/5
By elusive 1
Can’t rate this as I’m not using it. My only issue is that it appears to be free until you install the app and then go to sign up. That’s where you get your payment options. One can argue that well, the app is free, but the fitness program behind it isn’t. True, but a little deceiving.
Unethical and poor customer service 1/5
I did the $1 subscription for 3 months which I never used. When following cancellation procedure via app instructions, I did not show any information in my subscriptions in my IPhone settings. I reached out to Sweat regarding a unexpected charge on my account and I get the usual automatic response saying I'm basically SOL and there is “nothing that can be done”. The app glitched on me a few things thus creating frustration to why I never used it. It’s highly unethical to not understand my concern.
Great workouts!! App needs some work! 3/5
The workout portion of the app is great! But the activity tracker/ planner & calendar definitely has a lot of glitches that need to be fixed!
Good not great 4/5
App is good. I found it easy to use. You basically rely on yourself for motivation, so that can get hard. It’s basically the same moves over and over again, but it works.
How dumb 1/5
This app is poorly laid out, it doesn’t automatically update the actually day you’re on nor does it easily let you plan your days ahead. Word of warning if you do the 3 month for $1 promo when it comes around again, even if you do cancel it, it will still charge $20 at the end of those 3 months. I did it directly through the app instead of the App Store and you just have to turn your subscription off and cancel the account, which I did. But to my surprise it charged me $20 anyway. So unless you want to argue with the app support or cancel your card so it doesn’t go through, just save yourself some time and know that the app is not all that great. You can find most moves online for free anyway so save your time and money & get a fitness planner.
Workout schedule shows completed when haven’t begun 3/5
I love this app but I am SO irritated because after paying $$$ for it I’ve just started BBG 1.0 and it’s workout schedule is incorrect! The schedule shows extra non related workouts that are also incorrectly marked as completed throughout the week 😡😡 and for those wondering no you cannot delete them off your schedule once they’re marked completed. It’s not only confusing when you’re trying to track your progress throughout the week but it’s irritating that the Sweat by Kayla team have apparently known about this problem for over a year and not done anything to fix it. I have spoken with many others who have stopped using the Sweat App workout schedule altogether because of this issue- why is the app so expensive when it has such a MAJOR flaw??!! I never write app reviews but I wanted to forewarn anyone else thinking of spending mega $$$ on this app that not only screws up the workout schedules but also unfortunately doesn’t sync to your Fitbit. Come on Sweat team I think it’s well past time you fix this major issue!!
NOT A FREE TRIAL! 1/5
By Keeks kk
If you sign up for the “free” trial, you’re really only signing up for a free week and a month that you have to pay for, even if you cancel before the trial is up. Didn’t like the app, very disappointed that I have to pay for a month that I didn’t want.
Love it, but tech issues with the app. 2/5
The app usually works well but I’ve found that my full body resistance work out continually stops working and knocks me out after the first circuit. I’ve attempted it multiple times only to get kicked out.
A Real Fitness App 5/5
This app is amazing because you can tell the developers care about what’s important to the user. From the diet suggestions, to the workouts that aren’t too advanced/not too easy you can tell the trainers really crafted good routines and the developers put it in a user friendly interface. I’m deleting all the other fitness apps because this one tops them all.
Love it 5/5
Love this app and love Kayla. Thank you for creating such a great product and community! 💜
This AppIs the All Time Worst 1/5
I cancelled this app a year ago, and by cancelled I do not mean deleted off my phone, I know better than that. I actually went into the app, clicked on my profile picture, scrolled to the bottom, clicked “cancel account”, then a screen popped up that said “we will miss you” and asked why I am leaving, I then clicked “too expensive” then a screen popped up with a huge check mark and huge writing that says in all caps ACCOUNT CANCELED ✅.
Kayla, for your information, when you have a screen that pops up and confirms the account has been canceled, that means it has been canceled.
So now I am review the process and see that in small writing below the confirmation message there is another message that completely contradicts the confirmation saying that although it says “account cancelled” it is not cancelled, actually nothing has changed, to actually cancel your account you need to do it in the “manage your subscription” area in setting. So basically this was just a decoy? To get people to think they canceled their accounts? They have charged me over $200 since my first time I canceled this app and received a confirmation message that the app was canceled. This is far from legal.
I wish the watch app wasn’t so buggy 2/5
I have used this Sweat app for a month. Although I love the workout sequences that keep me motivated, the app is filled with bugs that won’t sync with my Apple Watch properly and rarely ever seems to catch my workouts. If does work, it seems to take at least five minutes for it to work. You shouldn’t charge $20 with all the bugs this app has. please fix it!!!
The app function is terrible!!! 1/5
The app is so clunky, data appears and disappears. Horrible user interface!!
Love the workouts, app is buggy 3/5
The workout routines and gifs are AMAZING. The app itself is very buggy for the amt of $ you spend on it (I prepaid for a year). I don't use the recommended calendar because the Monday start doesn't fit into my schedule, preferring instead to set my own days to work out. It doesn't log workouts correctly (won't mark as completed, OR will mark random workouts as completed). So it's pretty useless as a progress tracker -- you'll have to keep track of them yourself. Support is slow, too.
Missing key features 2/5
This app is missing key features that would make the program worth the money. After trying to use it for a week, I lost interest and stuck with my own without regimen (and used Myfitnesspal App to plan out my own meals):
1. No nutritional/macros info available!! (But kudos on the recipe variety/appetizing suggestions).
2. No notification when to move into next set of reps- you have to be constantly staring at your phone.
3. Workout planner is not intuitive or very customizable.
Life saver! 5/5
I cannot find the time to commit to a trainer and this app saved my life!
False advertising 1/5
This app did not give a heads up about purchasing a days, months, or years worth of subscription. I am very thorough with in-app purchases and nowhere did this app nor did I want to purchase a years worth of subscription. I wasn’t even given an option! Don’t go bother looking into the refund policy. There isn’t one! It doesn’t surprise me - why would they want to give customers back their money?! Anyway, don’t use this app unless you want to be tricked into a years worth of subscription. 🤦🏽♀️
I love this app! 5/5
I really just enjoy this app, it makes me feel like working out is easy and fun. There are built in playlists of awesome music that help get me going on the cardio workouts, there is a step tracker and timer that helps you stay on top of your cardio, there are countless videos teaching you how to do the different matt workouts. And the positive notes and community make it so fun. I truly love this. Also it’s worth the money because there are no pop ups or ads, it’s good quality! I love Kayla, she’s a rockstar!
