Says free but not free 1/5
I don’t appreciate false advertising. The app claims to be free but after downloading and opening it wants you to choose a payment plan before allowing you to see any workouts
Saving custom workout is totally broken 1/5
App becomes unresponsive when trying to edit and add exercises, very frustrating.
Cool app but god forbid you want to cancel subscription! 1/5
Be sure to cancel app prior to subscription renewal period or you’re charged for 3 months subscription even if you signed up for a month trial! Once charged, SWORKIT will not help. You’ll need to contact Apple to resolve or PayPal to stop auto payment. I understand auto renewal payment but no where is it disclosed that you’ll be charged for 3 mos! Some auto subscriptions are annual! So you think you’re signing up for $9.99 subscription until you’re billed $29.99 without notice! Total scam.
I used to love this app, and I really supported the Ryan and got all my friends to purchase the app. Unfortunately now Sworkit has become another monthly subscription app that tries to milk you every month instead of letting you keep the app you purchased before. Shame.
What happened? 1/5
Had the app for quite some time, using the free options it came with. Switched phones, went to download the app only to find that it's now unusable unless you pay monthly? I referred this app to so many people. Guess I'll make it a point to tell them about any other workout app. So disappointed.
Great workouts! 5/5
I absolutely loooove this app! The workouts are really easy to follow and keep up with and you get little awards for working out. And you can listen to your own music in the background.Definitely worth the money for a subscription!
*** not endorsed; if the app was trash, I’d tell you it’s trash :p
Nothing like Nexercise! Totally like so many other apps out there. Nothing new or motivating! Still searching for something like Nexercise!!!
Nike trainer app is where it's at. It has videos and is totally free. Why would I pay $ for a workout?
Can’t save timing for workouts 3/5
I really like this app except for the fact that when I create a custom workout, it doesn’t save the interval timing with it. I find it very annoying that I have to set my interval timing each time I go into my workouts, as I often forget to change or add something specific to a workout and have to quit a few minutes into it in order to change it and start again.
Locked out again! 2/5
Frequently locks up and locks me out of premium. Paid for a year and constantly queries about upgrading to premium. Won’t work off line.
So, this app has been so helpful to me but the only drawback is that apple, has like a free section and when I put it on my Samsung, I wasn’t able to view everything that I could on my iPad but love the workouts, I am noticing the toning all over and I just love it.
Good App 4/5
By Margarita Espinosa
I’ve tried different workout apps and programs and this one is very good. I really like the fact that you can listen to music on deezer or spotify while you are using the app and the workout are actually as challenging as you want them to be. Also the fact that you can customize the duration of the workout is a plus. I do not like that they don’t have previews of the exercises you will perform before starting, that would be very useful. Sometimes I have to pause and go back to get a good idea of what is coming up. But overall it is been interesanting
How do you make something already good better? 5/5
I've used Nexercise for years and this is the perfect compliment to what was already a phenomenal app. This app is a perfect challenge for all fitness levels.
I use to have this app and loved the free workouts you could get. After getting a new phone I downloaded it back only to find out now you have to have a monthly subscription?? Seriously?? Why pay when you can pay to go to the gym?? This annoys me greatly.
Can’t share 3/5
By accountable account
My family is all using this app from my encouragement only to find out we can’t share our progress and hold each other accountable.
Not enough description on correctly performing individual exercises.
So far so bad... 2/5
Not syncing properly with Health app even though I have everything turned on to read/write to Health app. After workouts it is staying “greyed” out and not giving progression credit to green rings on Health app as if I didn’t do the exercise at all.
Also it has a very hard time recording heart rate from Apple Watch even though other health apps I have seem to have no problem.
This is very disappointing.
Still performing horribly. Never measures heart rate correctly if at all. Do a workout and it doesn’t even register on health app. So as far as a useable app to monitor your workout it is a failure.
Doing exercises and getting in your 15, 20 or 30 minutes with a “trainer” it’s fine.
Just downloaded and went to watch the preview video. The app froze and wouldn’t let me exit out of the video. Restarted the phone and app did the same thing. Deleted app.
Not free anymore. 3/5
By Popular 1 girl
App used to be free for certain workouts which I enjoyed, now nothing is free. I liked the app but overall I’m not paying $7-$10 a month.
By Madeleine Allen
I have the kids version and the abs and core one but in this one you have to sign up and pay money personally I think it should be free
Great improvement nicely done 4/5
I enjoy exercising every day, and I think you may have step up your app. It’s easy and quick or custom to me. I needed more Bosu exercise but I can improvise.
Doesn’t sync with FitBit 1/5
Generally speaking, it’s a good app EXCEPT, does not sync
Good workouts but need more variety 4/5
Good workouts but lately is glitchy with stop starts throughout. Please add some variety and challenge by adding some inexpensive home equipment like hand weights, medicine ball, bands etc.
Useless, nothing free 1/5
Sneaky. After installation application force you sign in and purchase subscription $7/10$ pe mo + one month free. Even you cannot use anything if you do not pay first. Rubbish. It’s non free app.
I used to have this app it worked perfectly then I deleted for storage one year later my brother got it on is IPad Air two all it said was “create account” and you would just create it and start working out I too have a IPad Air two and when I got it again it made me pay for something Why can’t I just create an account and go ahead and start too? It just doesn’t really make sense. Developers please tell me what is wrong. Thank you
First impression eh 3/5
Ok so just setting up and looking over the app, so I would like if asked more of the measurements besides just weight. And instead of daily exercise goals, do where you can select days you want to workout and days you want to rest.
So many cool workouts and nice programs
I love it 5/5
Great workouts and motivation. I love it!
So good 5/5
It help me lose wait😍
Great app user friendly 5/5
I have explored this app. I have been exercising since 1985. I researched a number of different apps. This seems to be a very streamlined and complete approach for people to begin, maintain, or increase their fitness regimen. Please keep revamping and updating this app.
To the developers: with the premium version, you should have options for kids too.
“Free” app not free 1/5
I downloaded the app and when it loaded it broke down the pricing plans. I immediately closed it and deleted without hitting that I wanted to subscribe. Apparently just downloading the app starts your subscription plan and today I was charged a fee of $29.99.
Thankfully Apple was great to work with and refunded my money, but I WOULD NOT recommend this app.
App freezes 3/5
App freezes when I’m in the middle of exercising, which is extremely frustrating because I have to close out of the app and restart.
Not free anymore 1/5
By Anon 200
I am not happy with the forced sign up for a free trial. Disappointed.
Great program, but glitchy 4/5
I really like the variety in SWORKIT, as well as the ease of tailoring exercises and the little helper videos.
My main issues are with the app itself. For example, if you try to minimize the app and use something else during a rest period, the timer goes off and occasionally freezes. Additionally, skipping a rest period doesn’t shorten the routine, just adds more exercise. I’ve similarly found that the app responds poorly to being paused, sometimes freezing as a result.
Fix these things! Then it’ll be a perfect app ✨
Best at home workout app EVER!!! 5/5
I have bought and used tons of workout videos, kits, systems and apps. Each has its pros and cons, but I have found the most effective need to have four qualities: They are (1)a variety of workouts to keep you from getting bored, (2) progress tracking features to motivate you (3) ability to adjust workout lengths to accommodate changes to your schedule (4) updates, improvements, and maintenance of the app by its creators. Sworkit is the only workout app I’ve found so far that has all four of these qualities. I used to go to the gym but due to my having to start traveling for work, that became unsustainable. With Sworkit you can do the workouts in a hotel room, living room, just about anywhere. And you don’t need ANY equipment( although I pack fitness cables just because they are a small and versatile way to add to my workout).
Until I hit the lottery and can hire my own personal trainer, Sworkit is, for me, a personal trainer in an app!
Ok but there's room for improvement 3/5
I worked up a sweat doing one of their lower body workouts, so that's a plus. I also like the ability to select the duration of the workout and the HIIT and Tabata options. However, it would be better if there were verbal cues or other guidance about proper form when doing the moves. As far as I'm aware, There are just videos of people doing the move and you're supposed to copy it. Other apps I've tried give pointers either verbally or in the video without sound.
Convenient and great 5/5
I use the free version and it’s just what I need in order to go through a diversified guided workout. I’m more likely to do my workouts now. I feel great after ten minutes of head to toe stretches and my flexibility has increased a lot.
Very upset!!! 2/5
I used this app on my last phone. I don’t remember the information for it. So I went to make a new account and to my surprise you have to pay money to even start?! It wasn’t like that before. There was plenty of workouts that where free. I love this app but I don’t want to pay for it to even start up a new account. It used to be that yes some workouts you had to upgrade to access and pay for. I don’t do online purchases so now I can’t even use this app. That’s a very big disappointment. 🙁
Pretty good 4/5
It’s a great app but the demo for sit ups shows the guy with his hands behind his head you can really hurt your self that way, you should only keep your arms in front of you , cross your arms on your chest or keep your hands behind your ears so that your not pulling on your neck causing back problems other than that pretty good
Not free 1/5
Doesn’t mention that it cost money whenever you download it but then you tried to start a workout and then it will say you have to join and pay some money. My wife downloaded the app a few years ago and she still doesn’t have to pay but I have to pay?
Sworkit theft 1/5
I had to dump my apps in resetting my iPhone. I mistakenly thought I'd had a Sworkit account, realized the error after signing up for a trial program, emailed them the same day that I'd had it wrong, requested that they delete my account, was emailed that they had done so but weeks later they stilled charged my apple account. Don't trust this company.
Enjoying the app 5/5
Thanks for this nice app, hopefully it will continue to grow and develop. I used the free version for about half a year, but recently upgraded to the premium - one plus that attracted me to the app is the minimal talking between exercises, and the fact that there is no need to press buttons on the phone during the training session- just press start and follow the voice prompts to the end - this keeps the rhythm of the session high and without unnecessary distractions. With the premium I enjoy the option to follow "my plan" at the bottom of the app - a personalized set of about 18 workouts in each category of fitness interests; one can follow the plan without wasting time in choosing the exercises every session.
You MUST pay!! 1/5
This app says free but the first time I opened it, it pulled up a screen that made me pay. I could not do anything in the app unless I paid first. This is absolutely ridiculous
What haooened to sworkitpro 1/5
I paid for the upgraded app and just got on after being off awhile and I have to pay a monthly fee???
Why are we now being charged? 1/5
I used to love this app and I am absolutely outraged that now when I got a new phone and downloaded the app it makes me pay right away! I’m very disappointed
Why force a subscription sign up? 1/5
No one wants to have to sign up then cancel a subscription for a “free” app. This is a business tactic because you know a percentage of people won’t remember to tie it off and you collect on that. I deleted this app as soon as I saw the force subscription and I encourage others to not even bother downloading this app.
Stay away! 1/5
It's a scam. I think they're from Nigeria! A lot of bait and switching going on here! It's people like those selling this that cause regulators to start regulating. And then the regulations become bothersome to us all. If only people would be honest, we wouldn't have all these problems. Go back to Nigeria!!!
By Amber 345
Sworkit is a awesome app. It is a place where kids and adults can have fun and exercise. It's amazing
What a crock: looped gifs 2/5
All this app provides is looped gifs of boring people doing a few exercises. Why pay for that?! I’d rather watch someone actually work out with me and give
Good but... 4/5
I wish it wasn’t so pricy. What I have found with this app that is the most useful so far is that I can customize my workouts on my own. I can choose from about 300 exercises to make workouts designed to target certain areas (legs, arms, upper body, abs, butt, etc.) or, what I like to do, actually design circuit training workouts alternating cardio moves and strength moves so by the end I have 45-50 min. of warm-up using easier cardio and dynamic stretching, leading to intense cardio/strength combos, and then followed with 5-10 min of some of the yoga moves offered to do static stretches at the end. This is SO much more efficient than the pages of exercise lists with rep counts I used to write out and then have to go check during the workouts, slowing me down. With this, it is timed for me and shows me (as well as tells me) what’s coming up—VERY convenient. It is also more motivating, which is KEY to any fitness routine—I have to WANT to do it. For those not as familiar with exercising or who just want to mix it up, there are also workouts to choose from made for you, based on target area, workout type (HIIT, strength, etc), or goal (flexibility, get lean, etc).
I, having knee issues, find it is more convenient to make my own workouts, leaving out exercises hard on my knees (i.e. lunges). If you have an injury, you may find customizing your own workouts is convenient, too. I only docked 1 star because this is pretty pricy compared to other apps out there that offer similar features. (Note: I’ve yet to find one that lets me make my own workouts.) I am in my trial period now, and I guess I will purchase monthly if at the end of this month I see results. We all know results and good health are priceless.
One more thing—it syncs with other exercise/health apps! My calories burned updates in MyFitnessPal app! Very convenient!
Using for 1+ Years 5/5
Love the variety of exercises, plans, adaptability and customization options. Only problems have been with some of timing, counting and interface with iPhone, but customer service with these issues were prompt with frank and truthful answers.
