    The app works great independently but using with Airplay is an awful nightmare. Scroll controls ping pong between times and if airplay disconnects it starts the content from the beginning .

    This is the worst streaming app ever. You would have better luck getting a shady anime app from North Korea to work. All I want is to watch Harry Potter with about a billion interruptions from ads for Microsoft teams. This app should be renamed “Syfy app and the prisoners of mediocrity and shame” This app is only good for watching the first ad befire whatever you want watch crashes.

    My biggest problem with this app is the audio keeps cutting out throughout every show I watch. It’s hard to enjoys a show when you miss half the conversation because the sound keeps cutting out. This is the only app I have this particular problem with. Fix this and you’d have a pretty decent app.

    I like the shows but there is to many commercials if I have to sit through 1 more vivid-19 commercial I’ll kill myself at least then it would save the virus the trouble but when your casting to a tv if your phone goes to sleep and you need to pause it the show will start over and you can’t pause it if you want to keep viewers cut down on the commercials and fix any problems you may want to add more shows and movies too there’s not much to choose from

    The app is very easy to navigate and aside from a glitch now and then I can watch the entirety of any series for free and launch it to my smart tv through AirPlay. It’s amazing. I’m bingeing BSG during this safer at home measure and it’s really made life bearable. Thanks SYFY!

    The app looks okay, but the closed captioning doesn’t work. Specifically, it overlays English and Spanish subtitles on top of each other resulting in sentences that are half in English and half in Spanish. The support links just direct you to Facebook fan pages.

    In my experience, the app has worked smoothly and efficiently. I did not have any of the technical issues some others complain of. I wanted to watch Batttlestar Galatica (I figured with all the extra time we have on our hands at the moment, I could finally binge my way through). To my pleasant surprise, the entire series is free on the SYFY app. The “catch” is that you have to watch a few (it is not that many, folks) commercials. I’m not paying for the app, so I think this is a fair trade off. Some would say, well, you are paying for the app through your directv subscription. Yes, I can watch whatever show is being broadcast at the moment. I can even record a few shows, but am unlikely to capture the re BSG series unless I want to wait a very long time. But on the SYFY app, I get it all, whenever I want it. At no extra charge. And all I have to do is be willing to watch a few commercials. Fair deal by me.

    So I’m finally able to watch the shows I’ve wanted to for a while, but it’s just not working all that great. Shows stop randomly and won’t restart, when they do, they show as already watched and the app tries to skip to the next episode, but when I actually watch the show, I have to go and manually start the next episode. I assume most of the content here will be on peacock, just hope it works better.

    I say “tried” because it rarely worked. 70% of the time I would get a “video playback error” message. I contacted the app masters and they suggested I loaded the Cable provider information incorrectly. I followed the directions and still got the fail message repeatedly. I deleted and reloaded the app— no success. I even restored my iPad to factory settings and reloaded the app—no success. At this point I think it would be easier to find an actual vampire on the street than to watch Underworld on the SYFY app. If you have to have a degree from MIT to correctly use an app, it’s poorly designed.

    The shows play fine if you watch it on your phone or tablet but i primarily cast because I prefer to watch shows on my television. At the moment, it can’t seem to cast to the chromecast device. It sends sound but not the picture, it’s delayed when video finally shows. It’s completely unwatchable. Even when choosing to cast, there is no syfy logo to tell you it has connected. I was able to watch that I wanted through the NBC app because Battlestar Galactica is available there too, so I know the issue is specifically the app. Also, I am using the first generation chromecast if it helps to know. Thank you.

    I just downloaded it all I want to watch is Battlestar galactica. It wont cast to my tv most the time. It won’t fully load and I just get audio. Every time I leave the app it loses My place and disconnects my phone from casting it. I have to start from the beginning. I can’t fast forward or rewind. This is garbage. It’s 2020. I stream a lot of shows on different platforms and I never have these kinds of issues.

    Trying to binge watch Battlestar Galactica. Every episode. While either watching on phone via airplay or on smart Tv It will hang on the last commercial and just shut down for the day. Tried deleting app and reinstalling 7x. Nothing. Had taken me 2 hours to try to get through one episode. Gonna buck up and just buy the episodes on Amazon Prime.

    About 20% of the time, the show casts without the picture, just the sound. There’s no obvious fix for this other than trying again later. Restarting the app, my phone, and the TV never helps. When I’m actually able to cast, the volume control displays every 30 seconds, and readjusts to a totally random number. I have to adjust the volume then QUICKLY close the app to set the volume for that particular episode. I could go on, but the quirks of this app just aren’t worth it. I’m working with the latest iPhone and a relatively new smart TV, so I’m not exactly bashing rocks together and expecting miracles. If you have any other option, don’t use this app.

    Got the app to watch episodes of Face Off. Got all logged in, navigated to full episodes, beginning of season 1, tap to start watching and I got an error message that my subscription doesn’t allow me to watch, and instructions on upgrading my programming. I know I have SyFy network! I logged in on the website using my desktop computer instead and am watching with no issues. Will remove the app tonight.

    You win, I give up. I have been trying to watch Battlstar Galactica and it’s so frustrating I give up. The volume fades in an out, chapters are inaccessible, closed captioning is half Spanish and half English and there is no way to access it to fix it. If SYFY is so intent on not being watched so be it.

    If you have any type of anxiety issues, do not try to watch shows on this app. Every episode stops playing for anywhere from 1 to 30 seconds many times through the episode and sometimes completely jumps forward so some important chunks of shows are missed. It’s frayed my nerves too many times. Had to stop watching. Sad because amazon stopped carrying BSG in December suddenly so there’s nowhere else to watch it.

    I’m not sure what’s going on with this app but it’s horrible. It’s telling me that I’ve used up my available credits and is asking me to link my cable provider. My cable provider is already linked through Apple. So, I signed out and linked it again and I still can’t watch any videos. What’s the deal?

    Content is good. The app is not. Especially on Apple TV; I don’t think I’ve never seen an app crash completely every 30 Minutes. That of course invokes the commercials others comment on. If we have to watch them, perhaps some variety? Reliably, pausing with Bluetooth headphones results in no audio, and having to restart the app. Linking to TV provider may or may not work ( multiple attempts on TVos, currently link on ipad just is non functional).

    I would have no problems with this app. Overall it’s pretty okay. But the fact we can’t buy more credits to watch some of our favorite shows (maybe we can but i’ve looked around the app, website and even looked up where i could buy more and nothing popped up). It seems like the only way to get more is to just make a new account all together. Fix this!

    Downloaded the app so I could cast a couple shows to my TV. Cast does not work. Constantly getting a playback error. Followed the instructions and reached out to customer service. Explained the issue via email. Got an email back stating that I had to call my cable provider (which if you don’t know they have no control over casting from your phone or tablet to you tv). I tried responding and explaining that is not the issue. Never got another response.

    I legit got the app to watch 2 shows: Krypton and Wynonna Earp. For Krypton season 1 theres only a premiere and then for Wynonna Earp, I looked it up in the search bar and only 1 thing popped up and it wasn't even what I was looking for! Don't advertise things that you don't have.

    This is hands down one of the worst apps for watching shows. Ads over and over again frequently every couple of minutes and the same annoy ads and it never picks up where you left off exactly..: HORRIBLE. You used to at least also be able to watch shows with this annoying Ad behavior.. but now on top of that they implemented a credit system that EVEN WITH using credits its ad after ad and the same behavior. I used to Love SyFy and their shows but theyve ruined the experience so horribly bad I can no longer stand sitting through any of their Programming. So digusted.

    The playback hesitates about every 30 seconds, as though there is a slow internet connection. My internet connection is high speed and nothing I do improves the issue. It makes it impossible to become immersed in the show and completely ruins the experience.

    I love the app. It’s just that the video lags and skips forward after lagging.If you you try to rewind 10 seconds back,the video will not allow you to,but you will see what you already viewed seconds before then.Sometimes the video will skip 13 to 23 minutes on a new episode that you are trying to watch from the beginning as well.Also,there are too many commercials between the break ...or even if the amount of time that the commercials are showing could be shortened...that would be fantastic.Please fix this.

    So I was watching a show, during the time period where it was airing, through the app. I got through five episodes, no problem except having to log into my provider account to access more than 3 episodes.then at episode 6 it just has either an error message or says that my provider subscription doesn't allow me to watch it which makes no sense. Same happens on NBC app since NBC owns it. Ridiculously annoying!

    Great app. Love all the shows but is there anyone in development working on this audio issue EVERYONE IS COMPLAINING ABOUT. No. Didn’t think so. How bout y’all let me know when this is fixed. Maybe I’ll come back. This is horrible.

    Before the recent update the app would play for roughly 10 to 15 minutes and suddenly crash. After the update, the same issue still has not been resolved.

    When I watch on my iPad and pause the app, two things happen: (a) the paused app counts as running from a ScreenTime perspective, (b) my iPad will often stay awake (screen on) when receiving a notification. That chews through battery life
