Improved UI, but Apple Pay? 3/5
The app supposedly added Apple Pay support at Checkout, but Apple Pay did not trigger as a payment option on our order today (just add card or add gift card). Plus “Alcohol-To-Go” wasn’t an option on our end either. Otherwise, app has improved since the original buggy/poor UI/UX presented under version 1 (pre-pandemic). Devs did a good job on the interface updates - so kuddos there.

Ever since app redesign I can no longer save my payment method I have to enter card info every time.
Then in latest update it says Apple Pay is now accepted unfortunately that doesn’t work either. I hope these broken parts of the app get fixed soon since I use it so much.

Just know getting put on the waitlist on the app really isn’t getting put on the waitlist. Your time doesn’t start until you go into the restaurant and actually check in

I used to order the beef tips... AMAZING! But my husband turned me on to their pork chops! Better than steak... the pork chops are absolutely amazing!!! Melt in your mouth tender and juicy!!! Love everything about Texas Roadhouse in Joliet!!!!

I’ve called in many orders to your restaurant without problems.. since now we have to order online, I enter one side with a steak and then enter the second and by the time it takes to click on check out, one of the sides is gone. To get two sides, I end up paying for one of them. Staff doesn’t answer phone calls, so there’s nobody to question about this.. funny how every nickname is taken too so it’s hard to submit this

Wonderful way to give a birthday gift is to order and pay for it ahead of time and have your family member to pick up their special mad birthday dinner. I live in another state and with covid unable to spend with parents. Thanks so much to make it easy and special.

This gets stuck on pickup time and never lets an order be placed. After further review, I realized that the screen doesn’t scroll down to the button most likely because it has a fixed height and isn’t designed for iPhone 8 size.

What am I supposed to do when I get the error message "the sum of your selected payment tips must equal the order tip" or “too many sign up attempts please try again later”? Things were going great until checkout.

We love TRH! We have been going there for over 15 years for birthday meals and other special family celebrations. Our son is 16 today and as usual, he wants TRH! The food is consistently delicious and cooked just as we ordered! This was my first time using the mobile app and it was so straightforward and easy!

I rate this place two stars. Almost every time I go it is a good meal. But, I went two weeks ago and found a piece of GLASS in my mashed potatoes. It was not a very good experience and will encourage people to be cautious when they eat their food.
Downloaded the app to do be able to join the waitlist as I leave home as the closest Texas Roadhouse is 25 miles away. Put in all my information & and they gave me a wait time & asked if it was ok. Hit ok & when got to the restaurant we weren’t on. I made the comment that the app was crap & the person at the counter said “yeah lots of people have issues with it working”. So maybe you should look into getting all these issues resolved!

We’ve been ordering from Texas Roadhouse almost weekly since the pandemic forced us out of the restaurant and into our home. The to-go app works very well now. A few bugs at the beginning, but all takeout was an adventure until they figured it out. Our location in Hilliard has a separate portable structure next to the restaurant that customers can roll right up to and collect their order. It works great! Brilliant! Steaks cooked to order. You will not be disappointed.

I was honestly shocked to see such a high app rating, so I’m now questioning if it’s just my store experience. We visit the TXRoadhouse in McKinney TX often...like once a week usually, and sometimes more. What can I say...quarantine has really changed us.
We use the waitlist feature often. When you add yourself to the waitlist, it sends you a text. I wish everything was done through the app vs text. However, when we text the restaurant back to let them know we’ve arrived, they will often never respond. So after waiting 15 minutes, we will go in the restaurant, and they will seat us right away. I’ve asked the staff why this happens, and their response is “oh we had a shift change and didn’t see it”. Except, this happens to us at least 75% of the time. We either have really bad timing, or the system doesn’t work well.
Additionally, we’ve tried to place to-go orders. Every time we get to the end of our order amd ready to check out, we get an “error validating basket” notification. On top of the fact that it’s already not user friendly, I will probably never try to order pickup again. There is no place for notes within the item you are ordering - for example, asking for dressing on the side. I will often have to back out and try to add an item to my cart again due to an error. And then I get to the end, and have never been able to place an order successfully.
I think the app is a step in the right direction, but needs massive improvements. A rewards program would be a nice addition, but I’m mostly biased based on how often we visit.
