App is hard to understand. No place to enter time of arrival. Need a text box to enter special requests such as seating. App developer needs to work with real customers.
The app says you can pay by entering the code on the bill. The bills don’t have a code. Good luck if you ever go to another location, it’s horrible to figure out how to change store. The menu is not in the app. I want to use the app but can’t find a reason to.

Installed this so I could join the wait list on line. When I picked my location the option went away. I picked some other locations at random and found it seems in to depends on the location. Get together Texas Roadhouse. Using an app to put your name in online is not a new concept and should work everywhere.

If you want to use this app to get you on the wait list it is useless. We arrived before the time they said to be there and had to wait an additional 20 minutes. Probably wouldn’t have had to wait a total of 50 minutes if we would have just came in instead of use this app.

Waste of time to download this app which is very poorly built. The message on their phone app says to use their app for call ahead seating, but that option does not appear on the app for my Roadhouse nor does the option to place a to-go option. Tried the scan to pay my bill but my cell provider gave a message not secure - worthless app desperately in need of an overhaul

I added myself to the waitlist and was quoted 10-20 minutes. I arrived 10 minutes later to be told it would be 10-20 minutes. Not sure the purpose of the waitlist.

We order take out all of the time and the app never works. You get all the way through everything and go to checkout and it tells you they’re having difficulties and to try back later. The last order I was able to successfully place with the app was in July and it sent it over to the restaurant twice. Still doesn’t work. I tried twice again tonight. Even deleted the app and then downloaded it again. Total waste of time. It would be nice if it worked because the restaurant gets so busy you wait on hold forever to order takeout.

I’m not really sure why this exists, considering they advertise it’s functions and talk it up like it’s the greatest thing, and none of them work at the three locations near us.

First review I have ever done for an app. First, despite me being able to enter the credit card info, it would not accepted the right type. Visa, MasterCard etc... Made sure I had the number correctly over and over, tried the different card types just to see if that window would go away. I ended up choosing to pay in store.
All appeared to have worked, was given a time my order would be ready to be picked up confirmed. I did not get an email, checked junk folder, didn't get a text. Decided just to go at the scheduled time as it is not far and I figured if I had to wait for the order to be made, it wouldn't be the end of the world.
It was not ready and they had not received the order. I certainly will not be using this app again, and frankly I don't think I would trust the website either. I suggested just calling to make your order.

I have attempted several times on different occasions to use this app to get on the waitlist, however every time I have tried I get an error to check my server connection. This happens on LTE as well as Wi-Fi... Bummer...

Developers need to play around with other restaurant apps and learn what ease of use is.... Makes ordering so complicated and not to mention pricing online is not correct... $2-$3 more for the same thing I order in house???

I had the worst experience using this app in my whole online ordering life. Briefly, I place a to go order and then I was charged 15% tip. They DO NOT tell you that you will be charged the 15%tip then when you go to the restaurant to pick up the order! Boom it’s already there on the recipe. This is a scam. The price that I agree to pay was different than what I was charged. I have nothing against the restaurant it self or the food. But this is not a table service. And I always tip in cash after I get my order correct. Avoid using this app!!!

This app is terrible. The field for a security question doesn’t work at all. The log in I just created on the old app is coming back as invalid password. We gave up.

So, I tried using Texas Roadhouse’s app to “call ahead.” It kinda acted squirrelly when I did it. I didn’t get a number and when I got to the restaurant they did said I had to have one. Waste of time. Another user deleting app.
Payment Feature - non-functional - Staff clueless 1/5
Hello and Good Afternoon,
Here are some issues that render this app useless ...
* ordering ... unable to order larger steaks on the app that are usually available, for instance, all of my local Texas Roadhouse’s have 12 ounce Dallas filets, however, the app caps at 8 ounces.
* ordering ... if you want to double a side instead of choosing two different sides, you are unable to.
* ordering ... unable to order additional dozens of rolls though they are on the menu at my local Roadhouses.
With that said, I had to call my order in anyway and fight over the background noise at the restaurant when trying to place it ...
Payment ... staff unaware of app or the barcode that needs to be scanned ...
Payment ... when attempting to pay, it failed three times, thus prompting me to pay with my card anyway ... just a waste of time.
Overall, this was a complete hassle and added needless extra steps ... far from convenient ... and obviously, whatever rewards that should have been earned were never captured as the app has zero record of the sale.

This app had been working fabulously for many months and then all at once it stopped working. Tells me order can’t be completed. Nothing has changed so I don’t understand the problem.

I like how easy it is to pay on the app but I have paid almost $200 worth of receipts on the app and still have received no more VIP offers except the two when I joined the app. I was wondering if I will receive anymore at a certain time?? Also, I did call ahead seating for my daughter’s birthday dinner an hour before and they said they couldn’t hold tables and we still had to wait an hour after we got there. What is the point of having call ahead seating if they can’t hold tables close to the time the party would be there? But Texas Roadhouse is my favorite place to eat still!!

I have placed 3 orders with this app. Each time it automatically tips the to go person. Normally I am a great tipper, but over 20% for a to go order? It should be my option, not mandatory!!

I downloaded the app for the waitlist feature and it worked perfectly. I also saw that I would be able to pay my bill with the app. However, that function is not available on my app. Maybe it has to do with my restaurant location? I talked to the manager and they weren’t familiar with the app at all. Disappointing.

I made a reservation for dinner and when we arrived they said they never received it. Of course we left bc we aren’t waiting an hour for food. Plus, the app isn’t very user friendly. There is no place to change the time if i wanted to make it for a few hours in advance. There was no confirmation(which should have been my clue it didn’t go thru). Not impressed. Needs to be fixed to make it more personal.

I tried paying with a gift card, didn’t work. I tried checking the balance of the gift card, said there was an error after I had to put a 20 digit number in. The app has the ability to scan a QR code but can’t scan the back of the gift card?!? Then I tried getting the discounts with the coupon for my first time using the app and they didn’t get applied. Also, if I wanted to pay with a credit card after my check was scanned it didn’t give me the ability to add a credit card. It wants me to add the credit card information to the account, which I do not want to do. I would rather be able to put the credit card in when I am using it, not saved to an account. For a company that is promoting the use of their app for free appetizer or $5 off, it’s terrible! Saving $5 is not worth the aggravation of this app (maybe that’s their plan all along, get you in with a free appetizer but then it doesn’t work 🤔)
I gave 2 stars only BC Texas Road House is my favorite restaurant ever.. this is handy to get on the waiting list if you decide you don’t want to call.. I’m disappointed BC they make you think you will keep receiving rewards.. you only get 4 total ever.One for creating a profile. One for paying with the app. One for reserving a seat on the app. One for ordering with the app.

Works well enough. For bill payment I would prefer that the app synced with Apple Pay and just got my card info from that as opposed to entering my card info to be stored in this app.

OK but has some obvious problems 3/5
I have used call ahead for years and know the it is not a reservation. When you call a restaurant they ask what time will you arrive. It can be an hour later and they put you on the wait list starting an hour later. The app does not give you that option, it showed a 0-10 minute wait at 1pm and asked if I wanted on the wait list. It the said I would be removed if late by 15 minutes. It takes me 45 minutes to drive there, it was impossible to select the time to arrive and get on the wait list starting at 2. The app is clearly different from the phone in call ahead and what the in house system allows. The customer experience with the app should be the same as a phone call. .

One day my password just stopped working and for months now I have been trying to reset my password and it won’t accept any of the reset codes they send me.
The waitlist function is useless 1/5
If you call to get on the waitlist, you can say when you’ll arrive, within an hour or so. The app gives you one option: 0-10 minutes. The confirmation email asks you to arrive at the very moment you asked to be waitlisted, and tells you they will hold your table for only 15 minutes. So, if you live 20 minutes away, forget it. This needs a fix.

This app is very TR friendly but NOT loyal customer friendly. There are several flaws that seem downright purposeful.
1. No text box for notes (I.e salmon - medium temp)
2. No way to deselect unwanted items (rolls)
3. Lastly and VERY importantly the 18% mandatory tip is fraudulent in the way it is never visible until your card is hit - reprehensible!

What’s the point of the waitlist if it doesn’t reserve you a spot? We arrived 10 minutes before the time that the app instructed us to get here and there is still a 25 minute wait! Ridiculous! Deleting this app!!!

Everything is great, wait list feature and rewards always work. But, paying is a major issue. The wait staff has no way of knowing you paid through the app. We were chased down by a waitress who thought we stepped out on the bill. Major downfall.
No way to accumulate rewards after the initial sign up, difficult navigation, poor user interface. They need to take guidance from the other chains.
