A good app, but it is hard to read fine print. All fonts need to double in size.
  • By far the most accurate translation 5/5

    By Xenajazz
I am impressed by that translator and his knowledge in ArabIc. I’d love to buy a hard copy as well. The app is great and I love the prayer times with Azam’s and the Qibla compass is so so useful. The developers went above and beyond to make this the best Quran app I have used. A must have for all Muslims!
  • Best translation 5/5

    By Dom74627
I love this translation and tafsir. Don’t listen to some of the Saudi/Wahabi-sponsored comments about the translation, no other translation gives me that feeling of closeness to Allah. Many comments are out of ignorance rather than knowledge. So my advice inform yourselves first and read the translation and use your common senselike Allah instructs us to. Jazakhallah khair for this app. Peace to everyone and I pray for guidance for everyone.

My dear brothers, I cannot locate the historical context feature in the rebranded app. Has it been removed?
  • The Translation is horrible | And the man’s voice 1/5

    By SincereAdvisor
This translation is horrible....I don’t know who translated it but they added some of their own beliefs into it or something considering the amount of parentheses that were in the translations. When it’s “Alif Lam Meem” It translates it to: “I am Allah, the most knowing” When it’s “Ya Sin” It translates it to: “O Perfect Man Muhammad!” When it’s “Taha” It translates to: “O Perfect Man! Be at rest!” When it’s “Nun” It translates to: “The Ink” When it’s “Kaf Ha Ya Ain Sad” It translates to: “Allah is true guide” I mean none of these are correct. The English man’s voice is ridiculous and dumb. He is only supposed to read it, and emphasize his voice when there is a question mark in a place where Allah asks a rhetorical question, but no, on some of the parts, he chuckles while he is reading it, and he shows emotions trying to portray the emotions of Allah. Just because Allah is angry, doesn’t mean you read the English in an angry tone or in a mocking tone if Allah is quoting a particular group of People Subhanallah!!

I would rate this 5 stars if the app would keep my place when I close it. It did that on my android and I would be thrilled if it would do that here on my iPhone. So please update the app so it will and I’ll come back and rate the app 5 stars.

  • Translation is very misleading 1/5

    By ShirazH
Whoever wrote this translation has done the following: 1. Outlandish translation not supported by any other respectable translation 2. Abundant use of parenthesis with own viewpoints 3. Even when the text is not in parenthesis, it will make the user think that the text of the Quran is saying this but in many instances of the translation does not match the Arabic text There is a section in the app where there is bunch of essays with no author names. Certain claims are made that haven’t been made in Classical Islamic scholarship irrespective of sects. For example, one of the essays implies that there was no literal Adam! Besides, the user does not even have the option to choose a different translation!!
  • Beautiful 5/5

    By NateHedgeman
Looks amazing and is very easy to read. I have no opinion on the translation.
  • Please fix 3/5

    By Kodak1990
This new update is wonderful and all but the Arabic letters are so smooshed to each other it’s giving me a hard time to make out to what they are because I am still learning to read it. Where as to before they were much spread apart and I was doing wonderful learning off of this app. I can no longer do that so am stuck trying to find another app that has wide Arabic letters. This is frustrating 😢

If there are options for Arabic recitation of Quran why is there only one English choice. He has no respect for the mental, emotional or spiritual value of what he is reading. It is very off putting and I now have to delete something I was very much looking forward to using during Ramadan and other times
  • Best Quran app! 5/5

    By Namemebeardza
Really helped me during Ramadan as I could read Quran anywhere and keep track of the total time I spent. Very clean interface, easy to use, and many great recitations to choose from.

  • User friendly & contemporary English 5/5

    By Asqwerdftyghuijnbvcxozlpzxc
Finally I found what I was looking for to celebrate my time with Quran while commuting and waiting to fall asleep at bedtime. An effort worth appreciating. I see some comments show dislike for certain interpretations that are based on rationalist exegesis by analyzing the word construction / terminologies of Quran, rather then just memorized commentaries people are so accustomed to. Well such folkloric interpretations are not being followed as they used to be. Sorry for rude awakening my friends. Now more and more translations of Quran consider interpretation of Term Jinn as something obscure ( Like Allama (Dr) Mohammad Asad did )
  • Translation is inaccurate 1/5

    By A. Tohamy
Either this person does not know English very well, or their grasp of Arabic is poor. Either way, the translation is God-awful (no pun intended)

  • Lies 1/5

    By Bunnymundsfan
It says a lot of lies in it. For example it claims jinn are a human Jewish tribe. But this belief has never existed in any form or time of Islam. Jinn are famously supernatural beings. I tried searching what they said to find zero website or sources that agreed with it. Jinn are supernatural beings this is common sense to both Muslims and non Muslims.
  • Missing Ayah 1/5

    By All praise to Him
I have tried to find out the contact information of the developers. It couldn't get it. Thus writing here. Ayah No.48 of Surah Room is missing . Have not read the whole Quran from here, so not sure if any other Ayahs missing. By reading other reviews , it seems there are some other deliberate or non deliberate mistakes here, so better be cautious. For good Tafseer, can see TafheemUlQuran English version .
  • The App is very good-- but can't find Allah in search! 5/5

    By Sis. Naeemah
As-Salaamu a'laikum. Al-Hamdulillah for your the app and your work and maintenance of the app. I usually use it daily. I like the way I can scroll down the side to find the ayah within the Sura and I Like that I can touch on the side of the Sura to find a specific surah and a little window comes up and says "Jump to Chapter...., and within the window I can move faster to the specific Surah that I want without scrolling down all 114 if I know exactly what surah I'm looking for. Very nice. Al-aHamdulillah for that, and for just having a Qur'an to carry around and read at anytime, and that is easy to read. I'm used to reading the Yusef Ali Translation. The words in this translation is different from Yusef Ali. Although, I know from the Arabic different words can be used to basically say the same as the Arabic. I also have the Yusef Ali Version. I'm basically used to your version, but I use both. I usually go to Google Search to search for a specific ayat that I only have part of the words of the ayah. So I said by Allah's guidance let me see if I can find it in the app. I don't just want to search for a Surah or ayah, I wanted to search under the word "Allah" or words that I know are in the ayah, but I don't know the surah or ayah . No "Allah". I look under God I see Allah it says "see Allah". It should be under "A"---I did not see Allah under the letter "A". Please help. Thank you and may Allah continue to bless you your families and your work.

  • The Worst English translation EveR!!! 1/5

    By Guy92840
I would like to start by saying the narrator is very good, unfortunately the translation is horrible! I have read many different translations of the Quran into English over the years and I'm shocked they they have been able to get away with such a horrible English translation!!! It's very misleading and in lots of places just totally the wrong words!!! Words that and Arabic speaker would tell you are not present in any form or fashion!!! I've read some pretty bad translation over the years but this is by far the worst of the worst!

  • Translation is misleading 1/5

By Muslim in the USA 123454321
This translation of Quran is misleading, words are added that are not authentic. Furthermore, this translation has corrupted, by changing the meaning of the words. For instance Chapter 2, Al Baqra (The cow), begins with "Alif Laam Meem" no one except Allah knows it's meaning. However, this App's audio falsely translates to "I am Allah". This is evident from it's text version of translation, that doesn't agree with it's own audio translation. Please download authentic translation of Quran, such as Muhammad Marmaduke Pickthall, Abdullah Yusuf Ali.

  • CAREFUL! Who are the translators?! 1/5

    By Hohohoh 1
It's weird that they didn't put the author on this translation! This makes me doubt the authenticity of the interpretation! BE CAREFUL! In the introduction, they talked about the schools of thoughts, and they defined the Shi'at as the family of the Prophet. This tells me that it is shi'i translation! WHY DON'T THEY WANNA SAY THAT THEY ARE SHI'i?!

  • Amazingly detailed translation 5/5

    By Belma Belma
I am reading Qur'an in different languages, and it is really useful to have a completely different translation for comparison. Also, this app's tafseer (who is the author?? Why not signed??) has very interesting analysis, much closer to my understanding of Islam, but in comparison to some previous explanations, fierce and brave, quite revolutionary. I recommend reading this Qur'an translation with whole tafseer, but I also ask developers to please sign author/s, as well as make this book accessible via different media. Thank you and I hope you will continue with issuing apps, you had a great start.
