Issue seeing local devices 3/5

I have been using this app for awhile.. for the most part it glitches from time to time.. unresponsiveness or connection issue.. but all of a sudden I’m unable to connect to any device.. I’ve removed the devices to try to reactivate them.. nothing.. don’t see anything.. deleted the app and signed back in… still unable to see anything.. all tvs under same network it’s always been.

If I could give it none I would I’ve had nothing but problems with it not connecting to my tv it doesn’t even try to find it either and when I do all the troubleshooting steps,,bam still messing up app is garbage

It’s a good app but you can’t even watch the free movies, they make you buy a Roku device for your tv to be able to watch the “free movies”.
The Roku app is not available for the google play store on my Sony Bravia tv and most don’t come with Roku app already installed, so it’s impossible to get it on your Bravia.
I really wish that Sony would make the Roku app free and available for the PlayStation consoles and also Sony Bravia tv.

You have to constantly "check connection" on Roku TV in order to keep the app connected. The answer to this issue when researched is, "Roku is known and documented trash, sorry." I try to use the app for headphone listening, but it randomly disconnects to an extent that I'd have to recommend literally any other streaming device if you don't want to reconnect your devices every 10 min just to finish a YouTube video. I assume Roku is popular because it was early to the game, but quickly fell behind.

Overall the app is good except when I can’t use it because it will not connect. Both my phone and tv are connected to the wifi but I can’t seem to get the app to connect to my tv. I like the app but please fix this.

It’s not working not keeps asking me to turn on my tv when it’s all ready on and then it’s says it has not connected even though the Wi-Fi and the tv is in and fine this app is garbage don’t by this app.

Stopping working. Says it can’t connect. then when I forget device I try to find it again it tells me there’s no devices on my network. I check to make sure everything is connected as it should l. Find it is and still won’t work.

Several months ago the app no longer would show my devices that had been connected to the app. The app will not find any of my devices won’t work for my TVs upstairs. manually put in my device IDs app still will not find my device.

I bought this app for my Roku tv after I broke my remote(dropped it in water) and it’s worked great except for this one thing we’re my tv will power on but my remote on the app won’t work😅 BUT GREAT APP

About the only reason I use a Roku stick is so I can use my headphones via the private listening feature. Recently stopped working after an app update and I’ve tried everything to resolve the issue including reaching out to Roku support multiple times. Well, my patience has run out. Use google chrome cast. Trust me, it’s not worth the frustration to use Roku.

It was working fine and now no matter what I do I can’t get the app to recognize my roku stick. When it works it’s great. I don’t understand why it won’t stay connected.

it’s so useless, it never connects. It only worked good for like 1 week.
Yes I’m connected to the same WiFi, I turned off my phone, restarted the tv, etc COUNTLESS times and it still never works. Idk why I even have the app still, deleting it after I’m doing with this review.

I love this App. I always know where the remote is because I know where my phone is. However the issue I am having is when left open, the app heats my phone up. I had a IPhone 10 and now I have the 13. Both phone over heated a bit where I have to close the app and restart the phone. I just deleted the app and reinstalled. I am hoping it fixes the issue.
But other then that, I love this app and appreciate it greatly! Thank you.

Give us a way to know if the TV is on or off. It’s inconvenient that I don’t know if the TV was powered on or not. When you open the app, or change TVs, sometimes the TV turns on sometimes it doesn’t. Give us a status of the power on or off on the app please. Make it clear and visible.

Crashes every time you try to use private listening. I uninstalled and reinstalled, and now it can’t find any of my Roku devices. Got a response from developer asking me to update and try again. Same issues. I’m able to control my devices by manually entering IP addresses (a pain), but private listening still bugged.

Removed one star because while the remote app works very well most of the time, when using it as a remote it is occasionally frustrating because it will disconnect from the device even when my Wi-Fi connection is not interrupted. It does this more on my Roku ultra than the Roku tv.

The app was good until I got a new phone. I used it for when my kids were asleep so I could listen to my tv through headphones. Now the app just crashes and it was a pain just to get it to connect to the tv.

We have children that are toddler age to 10 years old we need you to have an app called YouTube kids so they can watch things that are not suitable for younger children it needs to be educated no retards nation on it and so on so forth because today these kids are watching things that are making them not learning things so Please keep in mind to have a YouTube kids app on our TVs thank you we will be very proud parents if you did this for us as a favor
