:-( to the plus sizes 1/5
There is nothing cute in the plus sizes. They should be giving that stuff away.
So addictive 5/5
By Happy on Kauai
This is my favorite place to shop now. The thrill of the hunt is so addictive!
Great selection of items, poor shipping and customer service 4/5
I do love this site to buy nice things in excellent used condition at a fraction of their normal cost, and it helps so much that they put all the measurements for clothes. The app makes it all really easy to make a favorite list and checkout. It’s just that the shipping has a lot of complaints I’m seeing, and there is no one to get a hold of when you have an issue. My personal issue is that the app automatically “corrected” my address to the wrong address, and now who knows if I’ll ever get my packages since there is absolutely no one to get a hold of to talk to and it’s been 4 days so far with no email response. When I went to fedex and usps myself, they both directed to back to each other saying there’s nothing they can do about holding mail or anything... such a hassle because there is no customer service to speak to with this site/app.
Offensive payouts 2/5
Took a really long time to process the bag of clothes I sent to be sold. They are listing items for $20+ and offering to pay me less than $.50. Next time I will donate.
You seem to have given up showing the information on fabric content, your sizing was unreal, and just plain gone now. I don’t care about “Mechanicsberg”. Who displays clothes lick that. A steamer might help with the wrinkles. A mannequin with arms would help y’all as well. I have staged on flims & don’t get this way low level of display!
Just give it to charity 1/5
I love the idea of Thred up; I have been an avid thrift shopper for my entire adult life. I have sold to consignment stores, and shopped at goodwill for years. To improve expectations, perhaps Thread Up should state: “Our purpose is to help you rid of your best clothing, not for you to make money or earn Thred up credit. Thred up will give you up to 5% of the retail value of your item, and up to 15% of the Thread up sales price, if anything at all. For example, if you send us a dress with a $200 price tag, you might get $10, if it sells within 90 days. If it doesn’t have a tag, expect 1%. Even if you send us 20 fantastic items, DO NOT expect to make enough to even buy a Target brand pair of shoes from our site in exchange for your high end items. Please plan on waiting 3+ months for your merchandise credit. We do NOT value our suppliers (you), we value making a profit, so please send us your BEST stuff.”
Many idiots, like myself, will send their nice items for awhile, because we all think our items are better then average. But eventually, everyone will catch on and stop sending them their supplies. They should enjoy it while it lasts, and sell the company while it’s still worth a lot. With that said, I plan on buying something with the credit I have with Thred Up, then deleting the app and unsubscribing. I was so disappointed with the payout that I will not contribute any more money to this company; I would rather donate it to a non-profit or buy it at a retail store.
I sent this email to the company, with no response in a month.

I’ve used this app to buy and sell. Great for buying lots of nice choices. When trying to sell you get pennies for the items they keep as credit to your account, then sell those items for way more. I know that’s how they make there money and they even mention this as well. Your better of taking your clothing to a consignment store close to you if you want to get decent store credit.
I keep coming back 4/5
Love this website and what I’ve been able to score. If I need something specific, it’s bound to be on this site and way less expensive. I would give 5 stars but for the lack of photos (especially for shoes), but mostly the slow shipping.
Thrift love! 5/5
Great selection of True Religion jeans!!!
My new addiction 5/5
This shopping option is absolutely addictive! It has made me not want to shop anywhere else. Why spend more when you can get so many awesome things in perfect condition for so little!
Love it! 5/5
I needed to update my wardrobe and I love that the app keeps my sizes and my favorites! The polka dotted boxes and tissue paper make it an extra treat to receive. I haven’t returned anything yet but they provide a print out with instructions in each package. I also have dressier clothes than the local resale shops will take so this will hopefully be a great way to barter those for new clothes. Overall, I highly recommend them!
Purchases and shipping 5/5
This site is dangerously fun! Great merchandise well displayed and packaging looks great and is very timely:). Love this site
By Texas BFF
This website is so awesome. I have never come across such savings for items that I have priced in department stores. I love this website so much.
More designers to choose from 4/5
Love the company, but I dislike sifting through fast fashion brands to find ethically made and designer clothing that I like. Whenever I try and search for certain designers, most of them aren’t listed. Sometimes when searching for a brand I like the site adds fast fashion brands with similar names to the page. I wish there was more of a focus on sustainability instead of promoting the big fast fashion brands that are harming the planet just because they’re second hand.
Download review 4/5
Disappointed. It stated if you download app on your phone your S&H was free. This was the only reason I downloaded it and I was still charged.
First time user 5/5
The app is very user friendly. The prices are fabulous. I recently tried Stitch Fix. And am actually returning EVERYTHING they picked out for me by their “stylists” they sent except for 2 things I may have possibly worn. But I didn’t even try it on. I got the bill, and btw they don’t put prices on anything and charge a $20 stylist fee. Oh, and my “stylist” picked out things I would never wear. Aside from possibly those 2 items mentioned. And! You get 5 items. I’m stoked about this app! I’m a stay at home mom and I’m a thrift store junky- which I ho on sale days too! But I find amazing things for very inexpensive. My total from other said app was $117!!!!!!! I almost fell over! Thank you for offering amazing items for reasonable prices! I can’t wait to get my stuff in because I will prob be addicted! Do you offer meetings?? 😆 🙏🏻💕

I have been using thred up and liked it at first. However, I purchased a “designer” purse that said it was in excellent condition and got it only to find it is in TERRIBLE condition and missing its straps, I immediately tried to contact customer service, no response. There is no contact number or email that is made available on the app. If the situation isn’t rectified, I really would not be a returning customer nor would I recommend anyone to thredup.
Slow shipping 3/5
Shipping and processing of clean out bags takes too long.
Why thredUP makes me happy 4/5
I used to have money. Not the 1% kind, but enough to live comfortably and afford a few luxuries. My ex left me, taking our money. He didn’t forget to turn off the utilities and drain equity from our home. Huge bummer, until I realized that I felt 200 pounds lighter and no longer walked on egg shells.
But I’m living on a small fixed income. How to dress beautifully and comfortably?
ThredUP appeared when I searched online for silk trousers, and I have never looked back!
There is so much variety and even lovely designer clothing to choose from. I care a lot about the Climate Crisis, so it warms my heart that I can Bundle an order to be more green. Imagine treating myself and family to quality clothing and accessories while utilizing an environmentally sound fulfillment system! Heaven...
Waiting on a bag to send my clothes for over 3 weeks. Just placed an order- let’s see how quickly I receive this.
Don’t sell ....the end 1/5
Sold brand new tags attached boys clothes some tagless but new.Only a few were used.Bag barely closed it was so full.Carter shoes we never used etc.Got 5% for only 4 items out of a giant bag full.
They gave me .83c lol says if I transfer to bank account.50c. Tried to transfer claimed my debit cards weren’t valid. So okay entered bank account since but just spun wouldn’t stop spinning. So can’t transfer. Can’t cash out any other way since they didn’t give me a $1.00 at least for my troubles.Spent more in gas so they can Re-Box it all up sell it as a goody box.
If I buy something lol the shipping costs more than .83c! So yeah they robbed us in the end can’t cash out. They got free name brand kids clothes. They used to be good now their greedy.Sad because my family has multi family accounts been buying happily for years but only sold a few times before this...we will be deleting them all from mine to cousins.Sorry your no longer worth it.keep the 50c and clothes like you were anyways. Hope the person buying the box of kids clothes enjoys them.As for the company I will no longer recommend it using eBay now to offer-up. You made $40 off the 4 items plus Sure a couple $100 off the clothes you boxed up plus my commission. You need to re-evaluate your company’s values to customers.Sad to say originally sold hoping to just get enough to cover shipping then buy something to treat myself a rare mom treat. You would have made money still sure not as much as stealing but it at least would have been an honest transaction with a life long customer y family members too. I’m 40 yrs old new mom again later in life who has money to burn at this age point. Goodbye forever. Watch newer YouTube videos on selling to Threadup they agree with me.Will be donating my sons clothes to relatives and thriftcity in SanAntonio on Bandera road where they treat me right have an app that gives cash back for purchases. Same 5% back but at least they give me credit fair and square as a customer Thankyou.
Love it-one small complaint! 4/5
I had some trouble on the app when placing an order for my goody box! Typing in any personal information about my age/style wouldn’t allow me to continue with my purchase on my iphone past the screen I was on! Love the idea of this app though!
Happy shopper 🤗 5/5
I absolutely LOVE Thread Up!!! It is my new go to place to buy all the latest styles. Always arrives in a timely manner. And the fabulous polka dot tissue paper everything comes wrapped in is just the cherry on top!!!

Found some excellent deals on great quality clothes
Great site 5/5
I just received my first four items and I am extremely happy with them. They all look brand new I have just placed my second order
Horrible place to sell!! 1/5
By JJ 826
Horrible place to sell your items, I sent 2 boxes of things mostly brand new items, 2 pair of juicy contour pants new with tags $108 each, I believe I got $3.25 for each pair. If you’re buying it maybe a great place but I definitely after this 1st experience will never sell through them again. The total I made out of everything I sent both boxes was about $32. That’s very sad considering the high end items I sent in. And I paid return insurance, what they don’t tell you is that the items they send back they pull off any tags that are on them and if you want your items back at the end of the sale time then you either have to give them to them to resell in their goodie boxes (that says really that they donate them or are supposed to) then you have to also pay a whole other shipping fee to get them returned it’s not the same as the return insurance you paid already. No way will I ever have another thing to do with this app, if you say you are donating something that’s left over then you really should not be reselling it in an inconspicuous way with goodie boxes, and you really need to let people know they really have to pay 2 return fees not just 1. I’m completely done with them. Good luck if you’re trying to make a little extra money this surely isn’t the way to do it!! Why would I reach out to your customer support AGAIN? I’ve already done that requesting information on what you do and what charities you are supposedly donating to so I could research it because the left over clothes are supposed to be donated and are being sold. WITHOUT ANY RESPONSE!!
Nothing but positive 5/5
By anne own
I have nothing but positive things to say about ThreadUp and their app. I have purchased and sold on this app and each time it has been a positive experience. ThreadUp has a very conscientious business model and is committed to helping reduce the massive amounts of clothing from ending up in our landfills. If you think you are going to make a ton of money selling your clothing here think again. Go somewhere else if you are looking to profit big. You need to remember that ThreadUp is doing almost all of he work to sell your clothing including taking photos, listing your items and paying for shipping for you to send your items in. All of this takes a substantial amount of time and resources. Shopping on ThreadUp is super fun and their packages will make you feel special. I encourage anyone purchasing ThreadUp to double check the photos and the sizes. If it looks really small but the size is listed as a lot larger then chances are the size was listed incorrectly. Use common sense. And lastly, their Goody Boxes are a great way to shop. Chances are you will keep something from your goody box which will offset the cost of the goody box. Thank you ThreadUp for making the world and our closets a more beautiful place. xoxo
Don’t bother 1/5
I tried doing a clean out bag. They literally give you about a dollar for something they will sell for 20. Won’t make this mistake again!
What a rip off 1/5
By Megan from MN
I sent a “clean out kit” with 28 items to ThredUP. They claimed that 12 of these items (a number of which still had tags on them) were rejected for resale. As a result I did not receive any payment for these items. I believe it was some of the best items I sent to them that they elected not to accept for sale and I received a very unhelpful response. Don’t send them your items, it’s not worth your time or energy. I’ll be deleting this app and will never again buy or sell items with ThredUp again.
Why I couldn’t add promo code 2/5
I couldn’t add promo code to get 15% off. Why? So frustrating because I can’t call anyone to fix it!!!
Lacks descriptions 3/5
My order came in a prompt fashion but I would have loved to have known more about the piece of clothing I ordered. Just the standard “excellent condition” in every. Single. Listing. Like seriously y’all can add a bit more info about the item especially since I can’t ask any questions about it. Poshmark is so much better. Sadly disappointed in the lack of descriptions.
Would never sell here again. 2/5
They gave me a total of $.15 for a bag of clothes including a wool Patagonia and 2 new suits. I have bought a few things with decent results but if I can’t sell here I’ll try somewhere else.
Great idea 3/5
Has anyone noticed clothes aren’t much cheaper than in stores. I just saw a dress I actually own and it’s more expensive here than when originally purchased. It’s such a great concept, if only they were more reasonable. It’s a thrift store after all.
Used to be Awesome 3/5
Still OK but this site used to be awesome! They were never super fair if you tried to sell but I get they need to make a profit.
Prices for buying used to make up for it but prices seem a bit higher lately and the restocking fee of $1.99 is absurd given the point of this site. Especially, if you return for store credit. Also the app can be super glitchy!!
So Nice to Use! 5/5
Secondhand shopping or even discount shopping can be a bit daunting. One can find themselves looking through so much inventory to find the magic item, that it hardly seems worth the trouble. But, with Thred Up, one forgets they are shopping second hand. The clothes are presented so well, and it’s so easy to find what works for you. I like the idea of cleaning out my closet with this app too, because I can get more of what I love to replace. I can wait fir my next shipment.
Crap app 1/5
I used to love this app, but recently my cart doesn’t load and now I can’t even add anything to my now empty cart. You’ve lost a good customer.
Thank you threadup!! 4/5
I love this site! You get amazing deals on like-new clothing. My biggest complaint so far is the 1.99 restocking fee on return but I get why they do it, so it’s really not a big deal.
SO MUCH LOVE FOR THIS APP 5/5
Honestly, have never sold to ThredUP, so I can’t say anything about that, but I ALWAYS buy from them. I refer EVERYONE to ThredUP! Anything I have ordered has come just like I expected! I only had one confusion with a pair of pumps a while back, but I was refunded my money and bought a different pair of shoes. With any online sales sight, you just have to keep in mind that, you’re not going to get the money you paid for it back... if you wanted to sell your things to make money back, sell them yourself? I will ALWAYS buy from ThredUP, and I will ALWAYS refer people to ThredUP!
Love it! 5/5
By ....... :(
I recently tried ThredUP for the first time and I definitely recommend it! Everything I ordered came exactly as it was pictured, and the prices are amazing for name brand clothing that is new or gently worn. I also ordered clean out bags and it was super convenient because they mail you the bag, you fill it up, and then you can leave it at your front door for USPS to pick it up! I will definitely be ordering from them in the future!
Terrible Clothes 1/5
I recently ordered my first Goody-box. I was very disappointed in what I received. None of the clothes fit and were very outdated. I will not be buying from this App ever again!
Love it 4/5
I love Thred Up! I buy a ton of clothing on the site and the app is easy to use and save searches. They are super responsive to issues and even gave me a promo code to use when I had an issue. I recommend Thred Up all the time!
App ok But Not Everything is over priced 3/5
They take a lot of liberties with their “retail” estimates. It often takes just a couple seconds to go online and find the actual retail price for many of these items. And more often than not, it’s lower than Thred Up. Additionally, you can find a lot of these items on sale brand new for less than you can buy it used on Thred Up. Also... if you decide to sell something using Thred Up, be prepared to wait 3 months before they list your items and receive like .50 for an item they list for sale at $25. Definitely not worth your time.
Always a great deal! 5/5
I always find great deal and great quality with preowned items
Love it! 5/5
What an awesome idea this app is. Good brands at decent prices!!!!
Love it 5/5
There's no men's department? How do I unsubscribe?
They don’t have clothes for men
Clean out 3/5
I think this website is great to buy things from but I will not sell them my things again. They do not pay you near the amount they end up selling your clothing for. However if you just want to get rid of clothes with the possibility to make a little money this may be what you are looking for. Ending thought: if you want to make any money on your clothes I would not send them to threadup.
love it....but... 4/5
