    I just bought a Tile. Get home, once this app was downloaded it turns out that you need a subscription to use the things it claims to do. First crowdfunding the actual Tile product, then try and sucker people into what most of us call a scam, a subscription. Or a continuous crowdfunding of sorts if you will. All while using crowdsourcing to make those parts of your Tile business/service better (the parts people need to subscribe to). It doesn’t get more shady then that. You have zero customer support. Taking the money is the easy part... Why isn’t any of this made clear on the box? The app itself is a mess. Even the single one basic function you can do without a subscription, making the tile beep if it’s close to you can be a mess. If you don’t let the app have constant access to your position, have it set to ON in app background activity and actually have the app open at all times as well, you’ll get bombarded with notifications, and popups inside the app are more or less covering the thing you’re trying to find. Irony? Don’t let anyone fool you into thinking that a subscription is necessary for a company (or any single devs) to thrive and be successful, what subscriptions does is that it suddenly increases the revenue way beyond the actual value of a product and/or service, compared to just flat out selling a product (like most companies outside the mobile world still does). It’s also unsustainable from a consumer perspective when the amount of bills to keep track of every month keeps rising. Tile, you really should let HomeKit take care of the “smart reminders” etc, eh? I really don’t wanna be tied to your app. There are plenty of (free) Bluetooth apps on the AppStore that will scan for all your Bluetooth devices, and show you the signal strength (which will increase or decrease depending on how close/far you are from the device). You’ll miss out on the ringing tone, but if you’re mostly using those green rings in this app to find your Tile, those other apps will do the same job..

    When it does it’s great! But often it just beeps indicating it isn’t connecting. Like right now, I wanted to find my phone but time couldn’t. When I did I trumped connecting and it won’t connect, despite both the app and the phone having the most recent updates. It is completely in consistent. 3.12- that email doesn’t work. Bounces back- maybe supposed to be .com? I reinstalled and it seems to be working now...

    I upgraded to the Tile Pro’s and they work fine to help find stuff. My compliant is that it’s too easy to trigger the ‘find my phone’ feature. When I have my keys in my pants pocket, it seems like one third if the time that I bend over or do something that causes my pocket to squeeze, sets off my phone. I’m constantly having to silence my phone. And they should setup the app so that I can silence the phone by just depressing the on-off button. Instead, I have to take it out of my holster to swipe the alert off the screen. They need to make it so that you have to press and hold the button down for several seconds, or even better require you to push the tile button 3 times in a row to trigger the phone. It needs to be a more deliberate event.

    I have two tiles and sometimes one of them works but mostly they don’t. Even when I have one in my pocket the app cannot locate it via Bluetooth (they are properly paired). Tile promises a peace of mind but doesn’t deliver.

    Left my phone somewhere at Disney. I must have dropped it during the excitement and chaos upon our arrival, I didn’t think about it. I was running solo (husband deployed) with our three young children. We grabbed something to eat and sat at different areas that I thought I put it down and someone picked it up, brought it to security, or who knows?? Tile Saved me from back tracking. I simply pressed the tile button, logged online and it located the phone in the parking lot of our hotel. I had left it in the car when we checked in and valet had swooped the car away before I could do my mommy check of ‘do I have everything?’. Rather than dragging my kids everywhere, I simply asked valet to have my car ready downstairs. I grabbed my phone and asked for him to re-park the car. I gave him a nice tip for saving me the hassle. We were able to enjoy Disney sooner than later. Thanks Tile!

    Went through the setup process and confirmed it worked. After that it was unreliable. The tile would be 2 feet from my iPad and would not signal. Even after the tile was “seen” because the “last seen” time stamp was modified, it still never beeped. Maybe it is defective? Will be returning.

    My tile is extremely helpful for when i leave my keys places and i can just easily track them. I do think that y’all should make a tile sticker for airpods? I always seem to lose my airpods so it would be amazing if there was something i could stick onto the case so i would easily be able to find them!

    Great app and product no issues buuuut TILE DEVELOPERS When you click on one of your tiles the first thing that should come up is a map with the last/current location of your tile, not your TIPS menu. Fix this! Also if I’m a tile premium and I share out one of mike tiles to someone, they should have access to the 30 day location history instead of just the current/last location. Also if I subscribe to premium, the free battery replacement is nice but give us an additional discount on new tiles or replacement tiles for the ones we can’t replace the batteries for. The features for premium are alright but this would seal the deal for continued membership. Tile should also have a community feature that could allow you to share a general location of users/apps or at-least share location with friends and family who also have the app. It would be kinda neat to use for lets say tracking friends at an amusement park or concert or on a trip. Finally, I’m into analytics and love data, allow us to keep the entire location history of our tiles, not just the last 30 days.

    Locating the tile with your phone works 90% of the time. The reverse, not so much. Locating your phone with the tile double-click works about 40% of the time. Even as I tested them 12 inches apart. And the “notify when found” does nothing. With some consistency, this app could be perfect.

    Even after downloading the latest version of the Tile app, I have tried repeatedly to activate a Tile, but to no avail. It even says “Need Help?” at the top, but there is absolutely no support for this app whatsoever! I bought the “Tile” at the Apple store and they will not support me either as this is a “third party” device(never mind that they are sold at the Apple store).

    I have tried 3 times to retile and was too busy to stop and type in my information. Could you guys please just get Apple Pay on the retile option so I don’t have to spend 10 minutes typing in my address or waiting on PayPal to respond?

    I have ten tiles in my house, half are the new and improved version and and other are old versions and I can say that the chances of tile doing its job are 60% (on a good day), they are so inconsistent that my wife refuses to use them due to the frustration of you counting on it working and nothing happening! Using the tile to find your phone is even worse and not to mention that the volume OF THE PHONE/APP when you’re trying to locate your phone is 2/10 and trying to get help how to make it louder results in customer service rep sending you a generic response on how to increase the volumeON THE TILE and closing the case afterwards (over the 4+ years I’ve been their customer I’ve tried getting an answer thrice). It’s a great idea but the execution is not so great!

    I’m not willing to share location and have chosen not to, but the app pushes notifications to me weekly+ telling me location services are off and please turn it on. I can’t disable notifications because then the core system fails (I.e. can’t ring phone when locked) so this combination is very annoying and spammy.

    I used to LOVE my tiles - have them on several items and used to tell everyone how helpful they are. Although they still work to find my tiled items, it NEVER works to find my phone by pressing the button on my tile. I don’t know if it’s the new versions of the app or the new tiles, but I never had a problem with my old tiles. App is up to date, open on my phone and keys are in sight and it still doesn’t work. Highly disappointed.

    I had a > year old Tile in the pocket of my beloved coat when I left it at a TSA checkpoint in JFK airport. Contacted TSA lost & found, but they said they didn’t have it. Fortunately, the Tile app picked up a hit at a building near the airport. I drove out there one morning - sure enough, there was a TSA office in the building. Eventually they took me to a room full of huge black bags full of clothes. No luck until I pushed the button to make a noise, and then we heard beeping from one of the bags!

    I have a tile for my wallet and keys. I had my wallet and keys in one hand and tried to get the app make then ring. It said they couldn’t be located or were out of range. What trash.

    Epic Fail. Stuck at home because this thing isn’t reporting location accurately. I actually upgraded to “premium” because there’s supposed to be 24 hour support via text/chat or at least a lot of the time. No one home. What a mess

    The latest releases of this app (2.44 and 2.44.1) increased battery usage from an average of 2-3% to 35-40% of total battery usage per day. The iOS Battery app was handy in showing this to be the case. I have to quit the Tile app just to get my iPhone 7 Plus to make it through the day. I hope the next release changes that back to the 2-3% range again.

    I don’t know where else to go because I get screen-read responses when I contact Tile directly. I have had nothing but problems connecting to my tiles lately...regardless of the tile (mate, Pro, etc) or which phone I have. I just upgraded from a 7 Plus to an XR and have not been able to connect to one of my Pro tiles with either phone. I’ve had previous issues with other tiles and I’m losing faith in this app and the great service it once provided to me.

    It is a great concept but have noticed lately that my iPhones battery has been draining much faster than normal. Checking the battery usage after the tile app was the highest listed app at 60%! Hopefully it just a bug in this current version but for now I have turned it off.

    The basic premise of the actual tiles and the tile app is sound and frankly, quite useful. This one star review is because of a feature that they refuse to implement. The original tiles had a very small corner that you could press to activate an alarm on your phone in case you lost your phone. This was very handy. The most recent tiles have instead, A BIG button in the middle of each tile that is used to sound a jingle on your phone if you need to find it. The problem with this, is that at least 4 to 5 times a day I accidentally ring my phone. Simply climbing into my car can push the button on one of my car keys. Or sitting at my desk, or leaning against the kitchen counter… EVERY SINGLE DAY I’m having to scramble to my phone to unlock it so that the jingling stops. Also, I work in film and stage production and I’m often on a soundstage where silence is important. It hasn’t happened yet… But it’s just a matter of time until I bump into something or lean on something or move wrong and set off the jingle on my phone. Now, this applies to the software… Because… The simple fix would be to include a setting that gives options for how and when to set off the jingle on the phone. More specifically, a setting that would say “activate phone after holding button for twenty seconds” Would probably do the trick. As it is, it only takes a slight pause on each button, like leaning against the counter, to set it off. If there was a time delay where you had to hold the button longer, then it would probably not be going off five times a day.

    Having the sound available for tracking lost keys is beneficial, but I tried the tile premium thinking it would be even better! The location history map is SO confusing to read. It’s not laid out in a user friendly way to show users the history of their tile locations. It’s jumbled, unorganized and logs random locations (like a stop light) while you’re driving. How is this helpful? I don’t need to see places I’ve driven by, so why add it to the tile location history just making everything confusing in the long run? Not to mention, I experimented with the location tracking and noticed it doesn’t pick up on some of the last known locations (where it’s been for 8 hours). It’s not all that accurate.. The idea is there, but I don’t think they’ve quite got a handle on it yet.

    If you share your iTunes account with other members of your household you can’t get tile premium for more than one tile account. I’ve been sharing the iTunes account for more than 15 years and Tile thinks it is reasonable to change my whole workflow because they don’t like it.

    No! I keep bluetooth turned off for power-saving reasons. Apple doesn't seem to get the idea either. When I tap off, I mean "off". Apple thinks it means "less", and Tile seems to think it means "not right now". No. I never leave unnecessary radio functions on. Nobody should; It's a bad habit to leave them on all the time if they're not needed. Tile needs to understand that there are some of us who think this way, and that we won't be swayed by the 6th, 7th, or umpteenth time you ask, "please turn on your bluetooth" I get that that's your schtick. But no. I am not using it right now; It stays off. Quit pestering me about it.

    Barely useful. The sound from the fob is very slight and the find phone function is poor. Can’t always tell when it works - you have to press the button twice but too fast ng and too slow ng. Plus it doesn’t make the phone volume go up as does the Apple find a fone app so if ur phone in on low good luck hearing the chime. Waste of money

    When I lost my wallet, the tile tracker didn’t work. It is supposed to connect to my phone via Bluetooth, but the tile app said gave me a location from two weeks prior to the loss. That means that it didn’t connect to my phone at all during that time period, even though I carry my phone and wallet in the same pocket! Not useful. They were next to each other for the whole two weeks and the tile didn’t collect any new data at all. Stupid.

    I was given a single tile by my girlfriend as I would regularly lose any of my personal items. Never would have I expected the tile proved to be beneficial in less than a week. I lost my backpack containing my laptop and Lost and found in that airport was of no help. Thanks to the tile and the “community tracking feature within it, I was able to track down my search scope and to ultimately recuperate my laptop. Will definitely be purchasing more tiles. App and device are awesome!!!

    The last set I bought were not all that. Out of three only one worked all the time. One constantly disconnected and the phone can’t find it, yet when I find them on my own and press its button my phone chimes. Another just stopped showing up on my phone altogether. The ability to track your keys if lost outside the home relies heavily on other users who have to be running the app near your keys. I haven’t lost them away from home so uncertain how efficient they are. Now they want to charge you $30 a year for an utterly useless feature: telling you you left without your keys. Well I usually realize that when I get to the car, I don’t need to pay for this feature, I get this information from my wife for free. Still as I said marginally better than nothing, so I order more.

    I placed a ReTile order about a month ago and the order was duplicated due to an error with Tiles shipping cart. I contacted them immediately to ask them to cancel but they second-guessed my direct request and shipped both packages. I marked one package as “Return to sender” and they got it back, but they are only refunding me $6.80. Chat support won’t help, so I’m issuing a chargeback. Avoid!

    Apparently my wallet fell out of my pocket and I walked away from a guy in the car and drove away with $350 cash in it. Realize when I got to my Destiination that my wallet was gone and all the while I never got a notification from Tile letting me know that my phone and my wallet separated or that I left my wallet behind it was simply no help at all. Except when someone did find my wallet they must’ve pressed the button to notify me that it was found however it was never returned and I had no way of reaching the person who notified me they found my tile. ITS A TOTAL NOVELTY TOY. Not a real tracking device like you might think. Not worth the $50.
