Eats battery; no Watch app 2/5
Works ok. TONS OF LOCATION USE is obnoxious and seems easy to be abused. Eats 5-10% battery just running in background. NO APPLE WATCH APP IS DEFICIENCY.
Great app, but... 1/5
We shouldn’t have to contact customer support to remove tiles from our account.
What if we sell the item?
Or no longer want to track it?
Or lost it permanently?
Or we no longer own the item?
It’s just stuck there, until you ask the dev team to remove it.
Reassigning tiles is possible but I’d rather have the ability to just remove it all together if I wish.
Tile Mate 5/5
I’m just setting the tiles up and I already LOVE it!!!!
Tile found my keys! 5/5
I valet parked my car and lost the ticket stub, they couldn’t find my car without my keys .. I activated the tile on my keys .. 10 minutes later my car was there!
Used to be good, now ransomware for Premium! 1/5
By EV Joy
Lousy since they took away the radar to find your stuff and replaced it with an incessant Upgrade to Premium that can’t be dismissed. I used to recommend tile to everyone I could. Now I will look for another object finder that offers replaceable batteries and doesn’t require Premium to do what it should do. Avoid tile like the plague! I’d give this feedback to tile but they are too cowardly to have a phone number or chat button that 2542 S Bascom works in their app.
Not working 1/5
Lost my wallet yesterday but the location is not updated so still can’t find it.
Not dependable 1/5
By AZ Girl2000
I’ve been using Tiles since the first came out. I even bought them as gifts for others. They were always dependable in the past. I just bought more and upgraded to the more expensive tiles at the beginning of the year. However, in the last several months I have noticed that the tiles aren’t updating their location even when the tile app has been open. I can literally be right next to the tile and it does not seem to know it. In some cases it has been 20 days since (it last located a specific tile...in this case the one on my car key). I’m very disappointed and will stop using Tiles if this issue doesn’t get resolved.
I like it! 4/5
I really do like this app so far. Easy to use and it does what it says it will. My only wish is that it didn’t need to *always* use location services as it drains my battery like none other. I changed it to when I’m using the app but still. I’m also curious to see how long the actual hardware can last for and what the Bluetooth range is, but that’s not an app question.
Tile easily goes off accidentally 1/5
If my key chain is in my pocket or the side pocket of my purse, the button will be accidentally pressed and ring my phone, typically several times a day. Then I have to stop, fish my phone out of my purse, and unlock it to stop the ringing. The Tile would be vastly improved by a safety switch that prevents accidental activation. As it is now, the inconvenience outweighs the utility.
Not that great 2/5
I have been using Tile for the past six months in my wallet. Over that time I misplaced my wallet three times and Tile didn’t help at all! It was always the cleaning staff of a building or my friends that helped find it.
It only really helps if you lose something in the same room your phone is in and you ring it. (That is, if the tile stays connected.) The Tile has the tendency to disconnect from your phone, even though the app is always running, and when I bring them close together, it doesn’t instantly reconnect. Sometimes you must click the button on the Tile and reload the app.
It gives me know extra insurance that I’ll find my wallet if I lose it. Most of the time, the last known spot is from hours ago and the lost feature doesn’t really work.
The only reason I’m giving two stars is because, it’s a cool party trick to ring your wallet from your phone. My advice is, save your money and just do your best to keep track of your stuff!
Vital piece of equipment 5/5

Lost keys, didn’t work.
Found my keys after work 5/5
I dropped my keys at 7-11 on my way to work and after work at 12:00 am im trying to get in my apartment, checked this app, saw they were at 7-11 last and retrieved them. Had i not had my tile on id be screwed!
Too erratic. Nice when it works, but unreliable 2/5
I really like the idea of tile, but it’s been too often now that it’s let me down. Just doesn’t connect. Sometimes I hold both phone and tile in my hands, still won’t connect. Other days it works fine. It’s completely erratic, and at the price that’s completely unacceptable.
No Rename 2/5
Once you’ve set a tile as ‘wallet’ there is NO WAY to rename it for another purchase - this would be an easy thing for the developers to add. It can only be intended to encourage users to buy an extra tile
Works maybe 30% of the time 2/5
I guess that’s better than 0% but sure wish there was a more reliable option out there.
Invasion of privacy 1/5
This app requires that it have 24x7x365 access to your location. That’s completely unnecessary for its use case, they’re only doing that to sell personal details about you to third parties (hint: they aren’t profitable from selling little pieces of tech, they’re a consumer-data harvester).
Used to be good 1/5
By Murse Dad
These used to be awesome. Now, when exiting the app (leaving it running in the background) the tiles disconnect and my phone would have no idea where I lost one in the event I did. That makes them useless. Customer service was zero help and their only advice was “wait until the next update.” Well, this version is that update and it doesn’t work. These are a waste of money.
Many people probably don’t realize this is happening, but I’m prone to finding bugs in products and this happens in the background without you even knowing. Think twice about buying a tile.
Follow up: and to the customer service rep that responded to my review, you did the same thing as everyone else previously. The tiles still don’t work and you’re not doing anything about it. Think twice before purchasing.
Works... ? 3/5
But you have to constantly open the app in order for tiles to sync up. There’s no actual background refreshing going on. Even when you leave the app open in the background... you have to interact with the app in order to sync. You’d be screwed if you lost an item and the app hasn’t synced up from your last location. Almost happened with me.
Doesn’t work 1/5
This product doesn’t work at all, don’t waste your time or money, thankfully I got mine for free from Verizon.
Rarely works 2/5
The app is great only when it actually works! I have missed place my keys and have a tile on it and when I actually need to use it, it will not let my ring for my tile. Say they have been missing for 2 days now in a location I have even been to. (Had keys this morning) I wish the app and tile would actually work when needed and not just when I’m showing friends how cool it suppose to be when I already have both items in hand.
Keychain button makes phone go off at the worst times! 1/5
I called to learn how I could deactivate or change the button on the tile to require multiple presses but they said I just have to live with it. I took my tile out of my wallet and I’m strongly considering removing from my keys!
What’s happened! 4/5
By Not a fan
Have had Tile for several years and have reordered and ordered more. Now, it’s just agony to try to use. It tells both my phone and iPad Pro that Bluetooth is not enabled (when it is) and rather then locate my items that are within 10ft, it tells me that it will notify me when the item is found.
Doesn’t work 1/5
By crapputacular junk
I have my key connected to my iPhone. The app on the iPhone says it is found, I click on the find button. The tile doesn’t make a squeak until I had to find the keys by eye, and then finally after I held the keys in my hand, the very same hand I also held my iPhone with, the tile finally helpfully started ringing.
This is a piece of crap
Even worse than before. 1/5
By I like ducks.
For the latest update they should've just renamed the app from "Tile" to "Crash."
I lost my key with the tile about a year ago. I live in a large metro area and nothing has been able to track it as described. The map shows a circle of about a square mile in a large city and if I walk around inside the circle, nothing has ever pinged. It’s a completely worthless product to a truly lost item.
Still doesn’t handle multiple devices & Bluetooth well 2/5
I have both an iPhone and an iPad, and because the tile app doesn’t share status of Tile’s it’s connected to routinely half of my tiles on my possession are connected to the iPad and a half to the iPhone which means the display on either shows tiles which are not nearby (ie either not seen in many hours)
Obviously the application should routinely update either a central server and Schairer status and requests back-and-forth or should use Apple services available via iCloud to do same.
DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!! 1/5
By Zombie Goat Dude
I used to love tile, but after the new update, it randomly won’t connect. 90% of the time now it doesn’t work. I’ve lost my phone and keys countless times now and not once has tile worked. I wasted $25 on a piece of crap that I wish I still had the receipt for.
Stop wasting my battery! 3/5
I’m conflicted. Tile is cool and I really like the product. However, the background usage of the app is absurd. In a 24 hour period, it shows 7 hours of background usage. This is 5-10% of my daily battery. The next closest is Google Maps, with 10 minutes (0%). So I turned off background refresh, which fixed the battery problem, but now the app has a giant banner telling me to turn it back on. I can’t for the life of me figure out why I should. The product still works exactly the same as far as I can tell. So... what was it doing in the background? Mining bitcoin? Who knows.
Only makes a sound sometimes 2/5
I love my Tile, and know that I could never live without something like this in my life. However there’s nothing more frustrating than the times when the Tile doesn’t make a sound. I’m left to rely on the visual rings, thank goodness for them.
Searching for missing keys in a panic, Tile app asking me to log in. 1/5
So I've misplaced my keys. I reach for my iPhone and open then Tile app, only to be confronted by a login screen.
I don't recall if when I bought and enrolled my tiles an account was created, or what that account could be, but it's ridiculous for the app to do this without warning. Tile is meant to be about convenience and time saving, the idea that this is remotely possible renders Tile worthless.
Tile = Savior 5/5
This thing is a savior!!!! I always lose my keys and my phone and it drives me crazy. It’s been great in finding my phone. I lost my keys for the past day and didn’t even realize even though I’ve had it a month that my phone can also find my keys. So I go on the app to see if there’s at least a map that can show me where the tile is since it is connected to my keys. Lo and behold, I press “Find” and all the sudden I hear my keys ringing!!! I was so excited, now my phone can find my keys and my keys can find my phone. I feel like all my (small) problems in life are solved. Thank you tile!! If there isn’t a patent on this I hope there is at least one pending!
Poor App Interface 1/5
I don’t like the look of the new Tile App. I liked the previous view much better, like in version 1.13.0.
There used to be just a simple list of all your Tiles. Now the interface is very complex and hard to use. It used to be so easy.
Please add a battery level 5/5
I love having a tile in my wallet. I just wish there was a way to check the battery on the tile from the app. That would make things easier to know when you need to get another tile rather than buying one only to find out you have an extra few months or having it suddenly die out on you early
Great App 5/5
I love this App it works great. I only wish the sound my tiles make when an item is found would be louder.
Sometimes I have a hard time finding them because it is
not loud enough.
Hope the battery dies soon 1/5
Got a tile as a gift and looking forward to the battery dying so I can get rid of this parasite. I assume that even if you turn off Bluetooth and GPS on your phone any other device running the tile app will send your location to their severs. (George Orwell would be very proud)Agreeing to the terms of service is akin to selling your soul to the devil. Very intrusive, very invasive. With all of the recent data breeches lately you gotta ask yourself am I really willing to share this much of my personal information? Do I trust this company to keep it safe and secure? What will tile do for me if a breech of my info occurs? Will they even notify me? Will they just sweep it under the rug?
Tile no longer works. 1/5
Tile has helped me get out the door by grabbing my keys wallet or phone, until recently. Whenever I open the app, it says me tile is out of range and in 5 seconds it starts finding it. If I were to leave my wallet somewhere and try to find it, it wouldn’t be connected from the start so I wouldn’t be able to find it. Now I have to wait until the tile app finds my items to find it and its annoying. Please fix this.
Not Worth Your Money 1/5
I must have a defective device because mine only rings when I find it. Not worth your money
Warning- data hog 3/5
Just noticed in my cellular data settings, that this app has used 1.6 GIGABYTES of total data usage. I’ve only used the app a few times so I have no idea how it can use so much data.
Battery life too short 1/5
By Loren Rosalin
The device has about a 1 year life-the life of the non replaceable battery. Edit based in developer response. Your response that battery has a 1 year life after is activation was NOT my experience. My Tiles were not activated but simply sitting in box in shelf. And batteries were exhausted.
By Heather. L. H.
This is probably the worst product on the market for its intended use because if you lose your tile, you have to depend on other tile users’ Bluetooth rather than just tracking the tile itself directly from your own device. It makes no sense to me how this product is popular or has good reviews from others. Stay away.
I think the box should specify it only can locate as long as you are within 100 feet. This is completely useless to me and will be returning it ASAP
“Contact customer service for issues” 1/5
I have received this same response each time the latest version of the tile stopped working. After no resolutions it was futile. I was ran through the same steps every time I contacted them of troubleshooting which I told them I had tried. Purchased the regular and weather resistant type and both stopped working within 6 months. Either the sound, tracking on phone or wouldn’t ring phone of all 8 purchased. Previous version worked great-too bad tile you lost this customer. On to another company.
Tile has let me down! 1/5
The day I put it to use it proves to be useless. Looking for my car keys to go into work this morning, thought to myself, no worries I’ve got a Tile on them. Go to the app and according to that my keys are still at work from yesterday 🤔 Interesting, so how did I get home from work yesterday, Tile? So annoyed
I’ve used Tile for over 3 years now, and until today, it was a mere convenience to be able to find my things around to house and so on. Today while rounding up a bull on horseback in the middle of a 500 acre pasture, my wallet containing a “Slim Tile” fell out of my pocket. By the time I had realized my wallet was missing, it was well past nightfall. Since I was able to share the wallet tile with my wife, who was also on horseback, we were able to set the app to “Notify When Found” and ultimately locate my missing wallet. What an amazing tool to help keep up with all sorts of items. Thank you Tile!!!
HORRIBLE WASTE IF MONEY NOW 1/5
By Never downloading again
Horrible wth happen it doesn’t seem to discover any of my tiles anymore
Not working!!!! 1/5
Why is my tile not working - it is just stuck on a page that says tile and not doing nothing. Waiting for some sort of “easy app instructions”. ☹️
I had pretty good luck using 4 tiles in 2017 - they usually worked, and saved me valuable time looking for things. When the batteries in my original four tiles gave out in early 2018 I replaced the tiles out of a set of 8 I received as a Christmas gift. The newer tiles have performed inconsistently, often not able to communicate with my iPhone, either to find a tile with my phone app or to find my phone with a tile, even when they are within 10 feet of each other. I am not getting any low-battery messages so I don’t think that is the problem. After about 3 months I started replacing the new tiles with the extras in the set of eight - performance improved for a while but now becoming inconsistent again. I don’t know if the pack of eight is defective or what....
Don't waste your money 1/5
By That Hootersguy
Won't work on iOS 9. Won't work more than 100' away. Won't let me login any more. Won't buy again! Worthless....
Can't get a refund cause they've been used. Waste of $45.
Battery drain 2/5
This app consistently shows up as being one of the major battery drain apps on my phone. I’ve had to turn off background refresh. Even so, if I forget to force quit the app after using it, it will still drain it with background activity.
