This makes prioritizing easy 5/5
By One Tough Puppy
This helps me outsource my brain and it’s a big time saver
Paid reminders 1/5
Must pay $36 per year for reminder notification. No thank you, there are plenty of free and reasonably priced alternatives.
Love it! 5/5
It’s easy to use. Updated often. Works well with Apple Watch. I enjoy the karma function. I’m on the Grand Master level. Hopefully I will make Enlightened by the end of year.
Wonderlist is better 1/5
I find this list app not very intuitive or user friendly. The menu is busy and it’s hard to find what you’re looking for. Just not for me.
Why the Change? 2/5
I’ve been using this app for years. But I suddenly can’t drag a task from where I create it (bottom of my list) to the top of my list (where I want it). What’s up with that? It makes this app very difficult to use all of a sudden. Why make that change when it was very easy to use before?
Not very useful 2/5
I like to see what I’ve accomplished - not have completed tasks roll off into never-never-land, making it appear as if I’ve done nothing all day.
App is destined for the junk heap.
Best Yet 5/5
You know we are all subconsciously looking for the best task and project management that the common man can afford. I wasted my time bells and whistling Dixie for like 6 months of my life. I left Todoist as a last resort (rude). Isn’t that how life goes? Sounds like love. Thanks for reading my mind. I’m going to join John Pullein and make some YouTube videos about my unusual workflow.
Great App 5/5
This app is very helpful and pretty flexible to what you need it to do!
Ok - but wish the Microsoft integration was better. 4/5
After a week of using Todolist. I get the sense the product is happy living on the web browser and mobile devices, but not so much on Windows or Microsoft products.
Any integration with Microsoft applications (thick clients) or outlook is clunky at best. Any of the Thick client apps on windows seem to be back level (eg the “upcoming” feature is not implemented on the windows clients).
Better Microsoft integration would make this a much more cross platform product in my view.
I Am A Lot More Productive 5/5
The app is super helpful. I get way more done. I waste a lot less time trying to figure out what to do. And I never forget what I have to do. I can easily prioritize and know what is due when. I tried many other to do apps and this one was by far the best in terms of functionality and how it’s set up. Highly recommend.
Things have slipped 3/5
I have loved this app for at least 3 years, but lately projects have just disappeared, and I have not been able to retrieve them. In one week all my Work projects just vanished. And the sub-task option now I’d good but inconsistent. Sometimes I see them, sometimes I don’t. As a person with ADD, I have lost be the simple intuitive interface of this app, but am not happy with the recent changes. I don’t know what’s going on but where the app helped me stay on track before, now it is becoming an unreliable distraction.
Stop changing things!! 1/5
By Paid User 2
I’ve been a premium customer for years.
Don’t buy this app if you *currently* like it because they are constantly reworking the UI. For a task app that I use 50 times a day, quick launches, glances, and muscle memory for quick UI infractions are important.
This time they want way too far.
The removal of the super clean “next 7 day view” and replacement with a more cluttered and harder to read “upcoming tasks” view with an extra calendar at the top took the app from useable to 1-star.
Update: They have now taken away “drag and drop” to move tasks from one day to another and replaced it with a context menu popup. Moving and reordering tasks now takes several taps instead of a simple drag operation. Terrible move Todoist.
Very great app for time management 4/5
Todist is an app that allows you to create a to do list and prioritize each task from most important to least important. I would rate this app as a 4 because it is very helpful but I am a very visual person so the app design does not really appeal to me visually. I would definitely recommend this app to others but I do wish it had a feature (like a lot of the other time management apps) to lock or block other websites for a certain amount of time.
Helps me stay organized 5/5
I like this app a lot, although I liked the previous versions better. I feel like I have to click through several screens to change tasks from one project to another.
Deleted Key Feature 1/5
I loved this app. I’m a premium user, but I relied heavily on the smart schedule feature which they removed. I have ADHD. When I would get behind and overwhelmed, Todoist would just spread out my overdue tasks over the next week or two. Decision fatigue is a real thing, and getting to opt out of a dozen decision and just move on was life changing. I don’t know if there’s another app that has a similar feature, but if there is, I’m switching ASAP and cancelling my premium account.
Used to be great. Last update ruined the app 1/5
This was an outstanding task management package. Slight tweaks have been regularly provided, fine tuning the app. But the app has become over sharpened.
I frequently move tasks. This used to be seamless. I. The last updated, moving a task now pops up a set of options that need to be navigated around before a task can be moved. This isn’t very annoying when moving a task from the top of a list to the bottom. However try moving a task from the bottom of the list to the top. It is completely unmanageable.
It is very easy to over think an application and make it difficult to use.
Crash issue on my iphone x 2/5
By Baba Tulpa
The time I started to use it daily after a month of customization, it started to freeze and then crashed. No one replies on customer support either!! Is everything ok???? Anybody out here?
Gotta have it 5/5
Todoist makes it easy to offload tasks you have running through your head onto “paper.” It is still up to you to do them, but you no longer have to keep reminding yourself.
Can’t use without login 1/5
Can’t use without login
Worst updates 1/5
Todoist has been my favorite app for years but they’ve made one too many changes and all for the worse. I’m out.
Great app, works smoothly and does most everything I hoped for. Tried several other to do list managers and this is much much better!
Really well done 5/5
I like this better than the former Wunderlist.
Very easy to use.
Excellent task manager 5/5
I have used all sorts of methods from paper and pencil to the last tool being wunderlist to manage my task lists. Todoist is by far the superior tool. I am very impressed by the functionality of sub tasks, sections of projects etc. Highly recommend to test drive it.
Poor replacement for Wunderlist 1/5
Poor functionality and ease of use
Hero to Zero 1/5
Was a good app until they took their most unique feature away. iReminder can do everything this app can, for free.
Legendary App 5/5
This is absolutely top-tier for productivity. You can get so much done even without premium and they offer a great discount for students. The design and interface is, in my opinion, unparalleled to the point where you use it so often you don’t even realize you’re doing something responsible. Amazing.
Best I’ve tried (and I’ve tried a lot) 5/5
Todoist is full featured and actively developed with many thoughtful surprises, large and small throughout. Over the last ten years I’ve tried many task management apps and methodologies. I most recently tried several of the major ones a few months ago. Todoist is the best I’ve tried. It’s elegant to use if you want to keep it simple and has the capabilities necessary to implement a more rigorous task management system like GTD. This ability to keep it simple and facilitate complexity is important, I think, as it takes a while and some experimentation for a person to settle on a task management methodology that works best for them, often drawing from several different methodologies. Other popular task management apps are more limited, and after using them simply for a while and realizing you want
more, the features that would allow you to do more aren’t present and you have to move to another app. This has happened to me a few times and was a waste of time. I wish I’d just gone with Todoist from the start.
Best Wunderlist Replacement! 5/5
I tried hard to like Microsoft To-Do and it just doesn’t hold up and lacks minor design elements that Todoist has. The UX is easy and scheduling items is a breeze. Pay for the premium - it’s worth it!
Finally, I’m staying on track! 5/5
Todoist has really become my go to place for all tasks I do for my business. If an email comes into my inbox, I create a task with a few clicks. If I want to work on something at a certain time tomorrow, the connection to Google calendar allows me schedule a task for an exact day, time and duration. If I need to move a task, there are many ways to do it, and they are all easy. I even have a connection set up with Trello to automatically add a task for any cards assigned to me. Love this tool!!!!
I get so much more done now.
Best app I have ever used for my to do list
Need auto resort 3/5
The biggest pain point and what keeps me from buying premium is the lack of auto resort. Especially by date for me. This would prevent accidental completions.
Really liking this app thus far 5/5
I was formerly using Google Keep which I still use but it’s no set up as a good planner/todo list, this app has been much more efficient and effective for me staying on top of my daily schedule.
By all time best qww
This app is really good, even though I don’t have all of the premium stuff it is still very good. I recommend this to anyone who has a lot of tasks to do and needs some where to keep them. It will remind you as long as you put a date for when you want to be reminded.
Removing features! Beware! 1/5
I bought a year subscription to this and then they removed the smart scheduling feature I relied on. Now have to move all my tasks to another platform and try to get a refund
This app is amazing and life changing 5/5
By hehe heidi
About a year ago i downloaded this app. life hasn’t been the same since. for the better. it helps me be more productive and helps remind me when i’m forgetful. over call 100/10
Completed items 3/5
By Harlan Wright
Wished I could see what I had “checked off” as complete and “uncheck”....
Can't afford it 5/5
This is the Best app I'm able to find, but can’t seem to afford the monthly or yearly subscription fee since I'm on total and permanent disability. I just wish I could find a similar app that's totally free and still compatible with Alexa.
Free version is useless. Just go with MS to do 1/5
These app creators can’t differentiate a task vs a project. You create too many projects. Time to pay. Too many tasks? Time to pay.
Life changing 5/5
By Christian Bongiorno
This app is absurdly simple but has been profoundly powerful for me. I honestly don’t know if I could do without it at this point. No matter how hard I tried I just couldn’t get into using a calendar or other timekeeping tool but with this all I have to do is type an event day and time and it shows up on my list. Then on the day of the to do there it is. On top of that seeing my task goal for the week or day show up when I hit the number is an added bonus. Couldn’t recommend more
Missing Calendar İntegrations 3/5
By Reader Tr
Todoist is not bad but many simple things are missing. E.g.; it can communicate with a google calendar but cannot do it with others. Even for google calendars it is limited.
For a project, I’ve tried to use a different google calendar but it did not synchronize with the calendar I’ve entered. It still continued to send to my other google account.
Anyone might have tasks related to work, still work related bu another project, home (sharing with family), and other personal.
I need to be able to integrate more than one calendar easily and be able to select one or more calendars for each task.
In todoist you can also not add a task on a project which occurred in the past. If you have accomplished a task yesterday and want to see it under the project you’ve created with the exact date so that you can follow what happened precisely on each day in that project, you cannot do it in todoist. To do this, you need to use a separate agenda app and enter the same tasks with notes (log) there.
There is an option to show completed task but it does not remember your selection. Some do not want to see the completed tasks at all, and for some, it is motivating, and many times it is a necessity to see the past tasks..
If you select ”Show Completed Tasks” on a Project level it does not work. Each time you have to open a Sub-project and go to the 3 dots and select from there ”Show Completed Tasks”.
It is so terrible! If you jump to another project for a moment and then return after 20 seconds, it is gone.. Again, you have to make the selection from the beginning to see your completed tasks..
I have given 3 stars but it is rounded up from 2.5.
Keeps my life an projects in order an it has email reminders!
Seamless & life changing 5/5
I had to write a review. This app is so wonderful! I am already a very organized person, but between my ever expanding multiple email inboxes, my Google Calendar, my written calendar, and post-its on my PC monitor, I have become overwhelmed by way too many tasks and too much information. I am almost done getting all of my hundreds of things transferred into ToDoist. It syncs between my iPad, iPhone, and PC in seconds. The whole program feels intuitive and after a week, I am already feeling the ease of using the app on auto pilot. It is not necessary to begin using the program, but I did read a lot of the tutorial articles and spent a few hours in the help center learning all the lovely features, quick tips, and best use of items as the more I learned the more I realized this would truly be part of a new and simplified lifestyle. This initial effort is saving me hours every week in calendar adjustments and figuring out what next. It is all right at my fingertips now and any task easily found. I feel so much lighter and more energy to do the actual tasks. Off my mind (and my desk) and into the cloud. Thank you so much!! I am telling everyone about this. Oh, and such an added bonus in a long work day to be able to use emojis to have it feel a bit fun and easily recognize projects and labels. Feels good!
Saved me from the hassles of ADHD 5/5
I’m a lot less distracted since installing this app. It keeps me focused because I can just look at it whenever I want. It’s compatible with my laptop, which is a huge plus since I sometimes am studying on my computer and I sometimes remember random tasks on the go.
It has a few things here and there that it could add, such as being able to alphabetize/sort your projects, leave comments on separate sections, or sort by color, but those are secondary to its most helpful features, which is the ability to sort tasks and not so much projects. Still might be nice to consider.
All in all, an excellent app to have if you frequently write lists and forget about them or lose them.
Love It! 5/5
Todoist is excellent for keeping you organized and alleviating the stress of thinking about all the things you have to do; you can list, label, date and time stamp, etc. in Todoist and prepare yourself!
I have tried several task/project organizing methods - this is the first that feels organic, lets me synch across platforms, and keep my many different projects at work and at home organized at my fingertips.
Awesome app 5/5
This app has helped me to stay motivated for a while now and I absolutely love it! Keep those updates coming!
I’m not a fan of this app at the moment 2/5
I don’t get any reminders. No ding, no sound nothing. I have to come into the app myself to see what I set up
Great GTD app 5/5
I just started using this app and so far it has been great. I like how a task can be broken down to Project, Labels, and Priority.
My one suggestion would be to incorporate a calendar on the app. This way I won’t have to open a different app to see my calendar. Otherwise, my favorite app.
Best ever 5/5
I use this on my windows 10 app thingy and on my phone. I’m on call 24/7 I would never get any sleep without this
