  • App not working 1/5

    By Neptunekiller
This app quit working right after the newest ISO update not only on my iPhone but also 2 iPads
  • Inspiring 5/5

    By Vitalel
Inspiring in the sense that for some material you can focus on the piece rather than dialing in the sound. Presets for some pretty niche artists are solid.
  • NoOh no yeagh Hooahah ohh oh-yeah I-I’m coming 5/5

To tell everyone about how this is the most ingenious app and haahoahow how easeeeeiyye-ye-ye-ie it is to use in “concert” with GarageBand (pun intended) and it is the ideee-eeallll-alallll ideeeal way-way-yay-yay-ay-ay ahh ho god hoooo nononono pleztop! Plez! stop! pleztop!wait! I gotta finisishishishishsish shtop it aaPLEZ! ZTOPET! NUW! WAEYT! HOULDON. WAEYT. UNAMUNIT EK? NUWGOWAYE...K. anyway, Since the stock guitars can sound nice and flat it’s a nice way to enhance how the distortion is going to sound on guitars, giving it much a larger ballsy crunch explosion double humbucker tone you want to eat like carpet at the carpet store, I mean what is with that or is it just me? Everytime I’m around so much new and unvarnished carpet and upholstery I usually wish I could eat it for some reason it seems like it would taste good at the time when I’m actually there physically inside the store surrounded wby all of this Aaaaaaanyway, yes it is so rad to try out and compare the different pedals/songs/tones with one another I can easily obliterate 3 or 4 hours of my day going through them all. Better than I expected it to be by quite a bit. Only a couple minor bugs but it’s not a big deal I’m sure it will be refined over and over like most
  • Awesome app 5/5

    By Finn TDW
This app is so awesome I just wish you added more preseats
  • Love at first strum 5/5

    By bluemeanieface
100% free for use jamming and recording on your bass or guitar. Integrates fairly easily with GarageBand and most DAWs. Scroll through thousands of (successful and less successful) attempts at recreating tones by your favorite axe wielders. Users develop sounds you can play with simulated amps, cabs, microphone placement, stomp boxes, processing units, you name it. You are also able to experiment to your heart’s content and submit content for the rest of the world to enjoy. Try this before you buy expensive packages from other companies. I sound like a commercial but I really really love this product. Not often updated but who cares? This is more than enough for as long as it works on my iPhone. Thanks, devs. Rock on.

    Great for my son.....
  • Awesome app! 5/5

    By sarge626
AWESOME! So many effects! Fun to play with, and use when you find ones you like. Definitely cheaper than have so many pedals! Double thumbs up 👍🏻👍🏻. 🤘🏻😎🤘🏻
  • Everything's wonderful! Except... 3/5

    By Preston Hirsch
Everything about this app is great besides 2 problems I seem to have on iPad. 1: when I try to publish a sound, the app instantly crashes. 2: more of a suggestion than a problem, but I feel the workspace pedals should be able to be added to a pedalboard without them being published.
  • Amazing 5/5

  • #1 but please update Top of the Week list weekly. 4/5

    By Brucelk19
I don’t want this to be taken the wrong way, so let me start by stating, this is the best app in the entire AppStore and I don’t just mean the best guitar App. With that said please update the top of the week list it hasn’t been updated in like a year let alone a week. It is an awesome quick-find feature. The only other thing Which I’m not even sure you could do anything about is the all over the place volumes from different song choices. I mean I get that I high gain type song is louder than an acoustic song but if We have our phone’s volume set and we switch from a mellow song to EVH song without touching our ears will get blown out especially with headphones or wake the neighbors in apartment lol. Basically A steady volume across the board then adjust from pedal if they want to turn up not have to change phones volume for each song cuz it is drastically different from song to song. So there’s too many volume controls from guitar itself to the phone’s volume to the pedalboard itself to then each pedal/amp within each said pedalboard and then volume of the headphones/auxiliary in(Amp, iHome, Cab) speaker you chose to play through. If that makes any sense. That’s all. Otherwise be 5stars for me instead of 4. But no other guitar app even gets a 4 from me so you guys got it right and I appreciate this app very much and it has been so helpful and allowed me to experiment with thousands of dollars in sounds with my iPhone and a $13 Irig n some headphones which is all that is required. Thanks again
  • Latency on iPhone 7 with iRig HD2 3/5

    By exit398
There is a significant delay between hitting a string and hearing a sound. So much so that I’ve given up on this app and only use AmpliTube now which performs much better. Shame because the patches are awesome. UI could be better also - kind of confusing.
  • WOW!! Wonderful app. 5/5

    By FinnCrimson
Tried a lot of these apps lately. This is by far the best one yet. The sounds are phenomenal as is, but the fact you can edit the sounds to your personal taste makes this great app even greater. Can’t believe this app is free as it sounds so much better than a lot of the paid ones. Again, wow!! Thanks to the developers for making this. You rock. And now, thanks to this app, so do I.
  • The app seems good but.. 5/5

    By 1MonkeyDFree
Ok so I don’t know if I’m missing something here but I just got the app. And I just can’t find a way to play on a acoustic guitar only? But I would definitely recommend this app.
  • Needs more artists and more songs 3/5

    By flashwc
Theres nothing wrong with this app it’s really amazing the only problem is that it doesn’t have a lot of newer artist or their song effects and every time I click on the preview sounds it say coming soon for almost everything please fix update this this is such a great app
  • So useful omg 5/5

    By A metal player
I use it with the Irig 2 and wow not only do I not disturb the neighbors because of the headphone jack but the effects can come from almost any song you want to cover (never write reviews but this is just really good so here I am)
  • Bottom line. 5/5

    By JAFO_1
    Love it.
  • Needs Fixing 1/5

    By Gomez_A
I'm trying to use this app on the 2019 iPad Pro but keeps making clicking sound when I use the USB C adapter to headphone jack. I used this app on my iPhones and worked great. Please, please, PLEASE update app to be compatible with the 2019 iPad pro. It's just disappointing.
  • Best app ever 5/5

    By ATFilmsofficial
Do I really need to go in depth about how awesome this app is. Download it! No in app purchase required. If your gonna use this app, get an Irig 2.
  • Good. It major flaw 2/5

    By All Time Almond
This is a pretty cool app would probably het higher rating, but you can’t output to an amp! Fail
  • Best app on this planet! 5/5

    By Bioartologist
The sounds you get from this app are so beautiful! No buzz on recordings and you can bring it Into Logic Pro through a Shure MVI and add more effects and master, I love this App!
  • Hear me out 5/5

    By james p ridden
For all you experienced guitar players seeing those ukulele people: It’s just an app. People are expressing themselves. Even if they aren’t great they at least are putting themselves out there. The tones are decent. There’s a smaller selection than I like but it’s understandable because perfect tones are hard to make. The app even sends you a reminder if you forget to play guitar for a couple days. 9.8/10
  • Needs support for Apogee one 3/5

    By Troy759
Very cool app just wish it worked with my apogee one device
  • One of the Best Sound Engines - AmpKit+ 4/5

    By Gern Blasnton
I own the original version of this by Agile Partners, AmpKit+. It was not cheap when purchased with all the add-ons. I still use it to this day but it has been abandoned by Agile for years. A version in AUv3 would be great and this is almost it except for the poor local saving and recalling of your own setups. Add local set up search and save please. I am just grateful someone is keeping this app alive, it really is among the absolute best. And seriously, at this price it’s a “steal.” PS I suppose adding local back up of your own presets would impinge upon your on-line interactivity. But it sure would be appreciated.
  • Cool app, garbage presets, bad purchase 2/5

    By Musical Dinosaur
Unless you want to waste all your practice time mucking through song after song that has 2 chords and sounds nothing like what you want to play. Stay way away. Select a Neil Young Song, you get the Beatles. Select 10 other songs and they are the same 3 chords with the same setting. Yes, the top 20 guitar songs are fairly good, some great. But 90% of the sample amp patches are garbage chords with nothing even remotely close to original sound. Unless you just want to create your own, which it does well, or want a very limited number of accurate patches, pass this by. Developers- go through the stacks of uploaded garbage and delete the crap. Check an upload before posting, or add a report garbage option that is actually monitored, and I’ll gladly give this app the 5 stars it probably deserves. But right now it’s just a frustrating time drain. You can only play Smoke on the Water or Sweet Child of Mine so many times. Total crapshoot beyond that. Even trying to listen to the original song data base is messed up. Neil Young gave me CCR. Clapton gave me Metallica. Lot of holes to ‘patch’. You got my money on a promise that wasn’t real. I’ll reload it whenever I see an update, but as of now, I’ll make space for BiasFX for a test.
  • Excellent app 5/5

    By JB in Fla
I got an iRig HD and that is to tight integration with apple music can play along to all my favorite songs through the app. Also has links to open the tab. Anyhow good app not sure how it's free but thank you for making it!
  • Best guitar app! 5/5

    By ggbmo
This is by far the most useful, easy to use guitar app I’ve seen. It’s motivating to play songs you’re learning in their original tones. Thanks Ultimate Guitar for making such an awesome app and free of charge!
  • Great 5/5

    By aye_evi
I dont need to buy a new amp anymore 😂 this app IS GREAT🤘🏻
  • Ehh 2/5

    By Bdawg6000
I like the idea of the app a lot. I don’t know if it’s my irig or not but any distortion has this high pitch squeal as soon as I turn the pedal on. I turn to amp effect down a tad and it goes away until I mute again. I also only get close to the sound I like. I play a lot of ffdp and disturbed so I like to experiment with he app instead of buying a 400 dollar pre amp. Great idea but I just can’t get it to work properly.
  • Really, Outrageously Good! 5/5

    By Jomo53
I have several amp apps, I find myself using Tonebridge more than the others combined. I am particularly enamored with the “ Colonel Plexi 50 “ amp which is outstanding. The pedal selection, cabinet selections and mic selections are truly top notch. I would pay for add- ons, I would pay for Tonebridge.
  • good queen sound 5/5

    By voodou66
a good queen song with my squier working with t ampkit app well. I do have to say sometimes to much feedback but i like a raw sound.
  • Feedback 2/5

Literally every preset I get that has even a little bit of gain just feedbacks like crazy and I don’t know why I have multiple guitars and they all do the same thing
  • 🤟🏼 5/5

La mejor aplicación. A los desarrolladores; nunca la abandones por favor!!
  • Can almost replace AmpliTube. 4/5

    By VicWiley
I love the tones I get with this. Unfortunately, it isn’t functional with many midi controllers. Can only switch between pedals with one button. Also, isn’t compatible with a volume pedal. Would be 5 stars if I could assign more controls. Excellent app otherwise.
  • Please help me 1/5

    By Mpayne_989
It keeps telling me that it was unable to play the song and to try and turn on the explicit content in my phones restrictions settings. It also says to make sure that the region of my Apple ID matches the region of my phone. I turned on explicit content and it still doesn’t work. Please help.
  • Solid Presets 5/5

    By Dylon Fehrs
This app is awesome. It’s got almost every preset you could want or need and the quality is solid.
  • On the verge of greatness! 4/5

    By Writing comment
This is an awesome app but I find it silly you can’t use your own pedals in a pedal board without publishing them. Not only that but I want to be able to stack pedals so I can have a tone but then add reverb or distortion to the same tone without changing it. It seems like it should be possible. So to summarize I would give 5 stars if these were included. -Adding custom pedals to your pedal board -Stacking Pedals or being able to activate the base pedals also.
  • Odd misfires 3/5

    By Learnin'
I couldn’t find a way to ask a question of the developer, so it goes in my review. Generally, I’ve liked this app; getting at least a reasonable approximation of the tone for a song with a single selection saves lots of fiddling with pedal and amp settings for actual practice time. BUT, I’ve had a couple of instances where I want to play along with the song, which I have in my iTunes library, and the app says it’s not there. Also, lately the guitar sounds much sharper and harsher through the app than it used to; maybe my imagination, but thought I’d mention it. At the start, there were times where I might have considered using Tonebridge to play “for real”, but lately the output hasn’t sounded as full as it used to. At least, to me.
