  • Great app!!! 5/5

    By Aidan Siegfired
I love this app so much is it so useful for anyone and I recommend it to everyone and my friends.
  • Love This App 5/5

    By Jware1962
Love this app! I live in a mobile home so getting word of a tornado can literally save our lives. This app does that...it has never failed!
  • Touchy 3/5

    By Melaquejudy
It goes off every time there is rain here, for flooding. I wish I could figure out how to use it for tornados only. The sound is obnoxious and I do not live in a flood spot. Do not drive so do not need flood alerts at all.
  • Location 1/5

    By Kperkins0319
It was working fine on my IPhone 6plus bit ones I got the iPhone XS Max the current location isn’t right!
  • Crying wolf!!! 2/5

Although I have a 10 mile radius set for alerts, I get constant alerts for warnings 75 miles away. I probably got 10 warnings today. Closest true warning area was about 35 miles away. Yeah, that sounds close, but where I live, 99.999% of the time the storms head east or northeast, away from us. So, good app, but I wish it could be more selective.
  • Didn’t work when it should have. 1/5

    By Ehesslen
I tried to contact app developers before leaving a review, but the link is broken. We had a tornado warning at 2:30 am last night when my husband and I were both sleeping. I depend on the sound alert from this app to keep us safe overnight if needed. Thankfully we are safe, and no harm done. But I would very much appreciate if this app worked as intended when it counts.
  • Alert radius is useless 2/5

    By E-Baus
Pros about the Red Cross Tornado App - It alerts you to active severe weather and tornado warnings. It also provides helpful FAQ’s for alert comprehension and general guidance on storm preparation. Cons - The radius setting for the app is useless and dangerously inaccurate. I have active alerts configured to trigger within 5 miles of my home location. The app is currently alerting me to an active tornado warning within my specified location radius. Upon further (frantic) review under the Weather Channel App - there is absolutely no warning in my immediate area. The weather statement affects an area 45+ miles away from me. While I’m grateful this programming issue is in my favor this evening, what about those who rely on this platform for accurate life-saving alerts? I wouldn’t trust this app to properly alert me to an incoming tornado or weather event. Rather rely on the Weather.com app until this issue is attended to
  • App needs a lot of work! 1/5

    By KramNetsirk
I was so excited to see the AR has an app like this, so I downloaded it in severe weather we were having last night. It is extremely buggy! You can’t even figure out what you are doing because instead of displaying the labels of the buttons and fields in the app, it displays the database field names. If the AR has abandoned this app, they should remove it from the store. If you don’t care about the app, then my guess is that monitoring also has to be poor.
  • I had a tornado watch 5/5

    By iejfir
I had a tornado watch it said tornado warning in Dallas I had to tell my mom and dad
  • Great app 5/5

    By gshdjh
You made this app so easy to use and very useful I love asking my parents questions when I know all the answers and they said the EF scale rates tornadoes on a tree fort when it’s just wood can topple in seconds! Well great app!
  • One suggestion 4/5

    By Honeybee'sbuzz
I wish all apps had a suggestion button. I like this app but I’d don’t look at old alerts. When I looked I had alerts going back a couple of years! And you had to delete them one by one. I would like to at least have batch delete. I assume it’s taking up space on my phone. Or else they could self delete after a day.
  • Every alert says TORNADO 4/5

    By birdtonguster
I realize it’s the name of the app but it freaked me out the first time. It’s misleading because the heading of every alert is TORNADO. You should either change it to what the alert is or abbreviate the app name. Other than that it seems like a useful app.
  • Do not use this app. Your life depends on it. 1/5

    By Ptran13
We had tornado warnings today and confirmed touchdowns. The civil sirens were activated and this app never alerted my phone.
  • Alerts not working 2/5

    By Tsmvette
This app worked great until the last couple months. It no longer sends alerts on certain locations, even when I go into the app, refresh, delete and reinstate. Useless now.
  • I love it! 5/5

    By zoeman
Right on time, accurate. I count on it.
  • Don’t trust it 1/5

    By BD4278
Doesn’t work to report tornado warning. I’m sitting in the middle of a tornado Warning and the app doesn’t report anything. I pulled up the national weather report and local news. The app is worthless if your trusting it to save your life.
  • Very Useful App 5/5

    By A Happy Fellow
I don’t hear from this weather safety app very often, but when I do, I’m always grateful I have it. Living in North Central Texas is a favorite of storm systems that may spawn harsh hail and tornados. I want as much advance notice as possible to seek cover. Thanks for being there.
  • Alert radius 1/5

    By gtdubzzz
Why can’t I adjust my alert radius on “current location” anymore? I checked today and basically had a 10’ alert radius.. I had it once set at 100 miles. I can not adjust it now. It seems to change size very slightly; appears to be at a mile now, still of no comfort. I loved that I could set a 100 mile radius as it benefited my particular situation immensely. Fix this and give the radius adjustment back and I’ll change my rating to the 5 stars it would have gotten before.
  • Awesome 5/5

    By Bokehgirl52
I depend on this app for ALL my weather emergencies ! It also teaches you how to be prepared for emergencies!! Here are 5 reasons I LOVE THIS APP!! 1- IT IS FREE!! 2-The phone siren Wakes you up! 3- it alerts you even before your local alerts & local sirens! Remember Seconds save lives & this gives you many seconds!!! 4-it monitors your location so you are alerted of incoming weather even when traveling or visiting family! 5- you don't get bogus warnings like too hot outside or whatever. Red Cross offers specific apps that cover weather in your area. Hurricanes, tornados, earthquake, etc.
  • Not very good 2/5

    By AJ31415926565
Irrelevant notifications going off all night long. Map doesn’t work very well and show shelters in wrong states??? I just wanted something that would provide notifications of nearby tornados, but that’s not this app.
  • Waste of gigs 1/5

    By phatterry
Most of their features fail to work. They just want your address book. Just say no.
  • Use to work. 1/5

    By missing options
App use to work. Notifications are 30 minutes late. Fail. Hard to find reliable apps these days. iPhone xs.
  • Great app! 5/5

    By MrsW92013
It’s worth taking a few seconds of your time to download this app. It is life saving!
  • I thought you fixed old alerts 1/5

    By Worrywart108
It Looks like you can go ahead and delete them all and is soon as you close the app and reopen it they’re all back so keep trying just like email you want to delete so you delete it and it’s gone Not too difficult a task
  • Excellent App 5/5

    By Moonlight Dolphin
We have had a few tornadoes in our area lately & the Warning Notification always goes off & warns us. This App is exactly what we need during severe weather, even if you live in an area that usually doesn’t get a lot of tornadoes.
  • Dropped the ball last weekend 2/5

    By Momhighness
Last week with the series of storms rolling through my town even after refreshing multiple times, the storm was half way over before it changed from “All is Well” to showing that there was a Tornado warning in effect for us. Luckily I don’t rely solely on one app for alerts. My husbands watch woke me up with pings to alert us to take cover. (Apparently our sirens were going off, but we can’t hear them from where I am). I wouldn’t trust this app in the future and I deleted it.
  • Not very accurate! 2/5

    By risingstarmaker
Your app places our home many miles away from where we actually live, about 30 mins by car?
  • Awesome app!!!! 5/5

    By wolfpup790
I have had no technical difficulties with this app so far. It is really good and warns you immediately if there is a weather alert. Highly recommend!
  • Needs improvements 3/5

    By GeorgiaGuidestones
Issues reported last June 2018 haven’t been answered, addressed or fixed! Severe weather had cost lives in our area and across the US the past few days and the Red Cross app doesn’t answer respond or r ad it’s reviews for their severe tornado app or notifications problem . I’ve already deleted it once as it sent a warning Versus a watch notification, doesn’t for off as amber alerts to when phones on silent and doesn’t have special loud siren alert and only uses devices default tone. I do Disaster Recovery & Response and registered w/ VOID and a CERT team leader so this is not a consistently relatable app. Gave it another chance a year later but to no avail.
  • Notifications 2/5

    By Sammich____
I get constant random notifications but when theres a goddamn tornado in my town there was no notification
  • Great free app 4/5

    By pougles
Though I use another app for general weather forecasts and warnings, this one has a significant warning style.
  • Pretty decent 4/5

    By Rogersville, Mo
Like the app need to increase the volume on the siren, I can hear it but not sure I’d hear it in the middle of the night. I live where we can’t hear the tornado sirens
  • Flood warnings? 4/5

    By Bnarvaez
Maybe add flood and flash flood warnings. Other than that I love it!
  • Rarely correct 2/5

    By Chris776
I was very excited about this app and follow my family members but it is often not correct.
  • It’s Mediocre 3/5

    By sml1991
It’s a good app and tells you about storms but when it sends you alerts, you can only read part of them. If you’re going to send people alerts at least let them read the entire alert
  • Clarence L 5/5

    By Clarence A L
    Works great Clarence A L
  • Best app 5/5

    By Momrulz723
This is very accurate and on time. Easy to use for the non technical person.
  • No Blood 1/5

    By The 77th Doctor
My only complaint is that I’m getting notifications advertising statistics and asking for blood. Don’t ask me for blood.
  • Cannot clear alert list 3/5

    By mkt1999
Gets up to date alerts. You cannot clear the alerts list. It lists ALL PAST alerts given. I have had this app for a month and the list of alerts saved in alert list goes back over a year.
  • NO ALERTS! 1/5

    By 2cowboy1
We’re right in the middle of a severe thunderstorm with high winds, large hail and reported tornadoes in eastern Nebraska and not a single alert from this app. All of my settings are correct!
  • Amazing application! 5/5

    By SlimJon38
    Thanks
  • Worthless 1/5

    By Sawbone66
Alert banners every time it rains, but when I go to the app it says “No alerts in your area.” What good is that?
  • Great app 5/5

    By Drink7
    Love this app
  • Doesn’t give meaningful alerts. 1/5

    By Angry Me 2
This app consistently gives alerts that don’t apply to my county much less my city which is in the middle of my county. I often see alert banners on my iPhone that give a fragment of a sentence but there is no such alert showing in the app. I am going to shop for a more reliable emergency notification app.
  • Get it NOW!!! 5/5

    By Mustang_1009
Tornado today destroyed a house a couple of miles from our house. I got the tornado warning from this app before our town tornado alarms went off. We were able to quickly take shelter. Thank you.
  • Liking the app so far but.... 4/5

    By Searra011596
I recently moved to West Texas and my county doesn’t have tornado sirens and so I wanted something that will let me know what’s happening. It’s really great at notifying me when there’s a severe thunderstorm or a tornado watch ect. I would like to see an update with the option to have the alarms/sirens override your phone sound. I almost never have my sound turned on, on my iPhone so I wouldn’t be able to hear the warning. It would be nice to have the alarm still go off when your phone is on vibrate.
  • Great app, 1 drawback 4/5

    By Aren Spiritus
This is a fantastic app. Very useful and a great way to keep up with severe weather near a loved one. There is one drawback, however. When a Tornado Warning has been cancelled, I receive the exact same notification sound as a newly activated Tornado Warning. It says “Tornado Warning” and plays a recording of a tornado siren. Even though th warning was cancelled. I suggest this warning cancellation notification not say “Tornado Warning”? It would be better if the audible notification just say “Tornado Warning Cancelled” instead.
  • In Iowa it thinks I am in Virginia... 1/5

    I hate the app
