Remote start not working 2/5
App worked great during free trial with my 2019 Camry XSE. I paid for a subscription after the trial ended about a month ago and now the remote start feature is constantly giving an error message and doesn’t work. Would be nice if it would work after paying for the service, especially since temps are falling. It was 24 degrees this morning and I tried multiple times to use remote start and it wouldn’t work. Walked outside to a completely frosted over car.

This app worked great when I first bought my 2019 Rav4. I paid to renew the remote connect service last month and for the past two weeks this app has not been working. This shouldn’t be a paid service if it doesn’t work. With temps dropping here on the Midwest, it sure would be nice to use the remote start that I paid for.

Every action I want to get done is very slow it takes to much time not very efficient. Once when I was starting my car via app I received an error message saying my vehicles batter was low so the remote would not work. I had an service appointment a few days later and they said it was fine but had no idea why I would receive a message mentioning that.

The app is convenient for the remote start. The process is a little to slow to connect at times, and I would like to be able to adjust the time my car is running before it turns off.

Not too happy that they don’t have it for all the 2020 models but select vehicles. I was looking forward to this feature and should have done a little more research before selecting my 2020 Tacoma

I tried to signup for an account . It emails me within 24 hours saying that my account was successfully created. But when I tried to login, it’s say the account is unavailable. Any suggestion ?

Every time when it’s cold, windows are frosted, or little overcast it won’t connect with the car. Maybe I’m bad luck idk. Considering this is one of the leading brands in automotive sales I assumed they had good technology. I look out side and see all my neighbors able to start there fords and Chevys every morning with no hassle with there phone. Then here is my Toyota not able to start cause it won’t read it half the time. Also when it does start it won’t allow me to restart it why, idk but half the times it does actually start the car is still frosted cause I only get one shot. Then when it’s running I open the door it shuts off. Why? Makes no sense. Definitely going aftermarket like my other buddy did that had the same issues. His works great by the way! All this also makes me consider a different brand next car buying time

Works about half the time.
When it’s super cold outside and I really need it to work, it does not work.
I spent close to half an hour on the phone this morning with Toyota and all they say is it knows it’s having trouble with Remote Connect.
After asking a ton of questions, Toyota offered no help whatsoever.
Very disappointed with the quality of this application and the lack of help at Toyota.

The app is not working. I get an error message when I try to start my car, lock and unlock doors and check the status. I am paying for this service and I’m unable to start my car remotely in a 19F weather

I wish I could get the app and actually try to use it. Still trying to get the darn email. Grrrrrrr
Can only start vehicle 10 mins at a time, opening your door shuts the car off. Mostly annoying, sometimes doesn’t work and feels like a constant updating going on where if you don’t update the app won’t work. I would do over and pay extra for a dedicated remote for my 2019 rav 4 to start it

App works, but is slow. I only use it for unlocking or locking my car. I love that it alerts me if I left my car unlocked or left my windows opened, but I wouldn’t pay $8/month just for this feature. They need to drop that to like maybe $1.99 just to lock and unlock. I hardly use any of the other stuff. I will not be renewing after my trial ends sadly.

I used it all the time it’s giving me an up to date location when I’m parked and give me updates on my car condition from how much before I’m empty and everything inside and outside if the car is locked and if I trying to lock when the smart keys is inside the car it’s telling me too I’m loving this app

50% of the time it works on the first try. The other 50% is does not. I get error messages, please try again, etc. I wish it was just a simple “push button”. Bottom line is - i just want to start my car before leaving for work. I don’t have time to wait around while it processes and then fails and then try again... I hate this remote start.

Bought a brand new 2020 Prius prime limited and the remote start isn’t compatible WHAT in the world so stupid Toyota your newest vehicle and you make sure you can’t use certain things WOW so disappointed
Sometimes it sends fake alarms about door left open or similar but it works good
I am constantly being kicked out of the app. There are three different was to log in. I don’t understand why my thumb print and code are not enough. It keeps asking for my email and password. Now it has forgotten my vehicle and I am unable to get it to recognize it again.

I don’t like the fact that I have to log in sometimes because it states “session expired”. The app should keep you logged in like other apps. Also it would be nice to control your temp in your car from the app.

When I entered my VIN during setup it informed me it isn’t compatible with my brand new 2019 Highlander SE AWD with push button start/stop! What a useless piece of junk!!!

I get notices about the car being unlocked, etc. often six to eight hours later. I am not sure I see the real value of it!!! Very poor response.

I never knew that there was such app that connected to the car to turn it on so it can freshen up the car and unlock and lock car from just about anywhere , it’s the best thing that could have happened to me I can cool the car before getting on it when I’m out and about with my family , ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT !

I was very upset when I downloaded this for my 2019 Toyota Camry SE just to be let down by the Remote App not being supported by my vehicle. I truly believe Toyota could have this very available for all their new vehicles and to be honest is just straight stingy of them to not have this technology available. Very disappointed with Toyota for this let down. Super lame.

Half the time the app doesn’t work. Only sometimes my requests go through to start my vehicle. Vehicle finder doesn’t work. After my free trial I am not keeping it.

The app is very slow. Give a lot of information about locked doors and could be simplified.
It is constantly looking for your passcode for every operation, even though it starts with you unlocking the app.
If it was improved it could be worth paying for every month.
A major step backwards 2/5
For six years I have driven a car that could be started by depressing a key fob button twice. A blast of cool air would hit me in the face and continue as I was fastening my seatbelt.
Now I need both hands, must enter a code number 3 times, and can walk 100 yards to my car LONG before it starts. On rare occasion it starts by the time I get within 10 yards, but shuts off immediately when I touch the door handle—making it an absolutely USELESS “feature”.
