No refund for Covid cancellations 1/5
We are done with Travelocity forever! They are still charging us for a Springbreak trip cancelled by Covid and US closing borders. I called them for two weeks straight and never got an answer. No way to cancel or contact them on trip documents online. American Airlines refunded all our airfare for trip, but Travelocity is greedy, sleezy and heartless. Beware of this company for any travel!

Our trip was cancelled due to covid 19 and our tour guide. We have travelled with tour many times but when we attempted to cancel flights Air France said we had to deal with travelocity because thats how we booked. Air France would have returned our money. Travelocity will only give us credits. We will never book again with travelocity.

No reason to use Travelocity. They don’t manage anything, when you have an issue they just direct you to the airline carrier to handle. They are purely a middleman and they don’t do anything for cost of flight. You can book direct through airline same flights. I would personally use only as research then book through the airline websites. Stupid service they provide.

This is the worst experience I’ve ever encountered! We had to cancel due to covid and you say we have a credit, but EVERY TIME I call I’m hung up on. Unable to use all the money you TOOK from us!!!! Shame on you!!! NEVER AGAIN!!! I’ll tell everyone to AVOID TRAVELOCITY!!!

Every single time I’ve used this app it has failed. Had 3 attempts the most recent time to check out fail. Charges make it to my credit card but “a problem occurred” and when that doesn’t happen I am notified after making my choice and being comfortable on the price that the price has changed in the last 1 minute to a higher price. Every. Single. Time. Really makes a person feel good a out a purchase.

App is very easy to use. I booked a package airfare, hotel and car. Without notice my hotel was canceled. Never received an update on it. If I don’t check it before travel I’d be screwed. Trying to get an agent in this app to help me why it was canceled is impossible. Was passed on by this guy to that guy. As I’m writing this I’m on my 7th “agent “. For the love of god!! I just want to know why my hotel was canceled!?!!

Travelocity is the worst. They sold me a vacation package paid for it and now they want more money
Very disappointed with using Travelocity to book a flight home for our exchange student. They never sent us a notification regarding the first leg of her trip home being cancelled. They just kept the 2nd leg of her trip(like she was going to magically beam herself to that location & catch the plane there). We found out when we went to add a bag. After calling the airline (Icelandic Air) they said they notify Travelocity & then they should notify us. Luckily the airline rebooked her on another flight. Very disappointed. They were however very good at continuing to send me notifications about things to do & weather at her end destination. 🤷🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️🤯

I’m a senior who cannot walk far and would need some assistance. There’s no provisions for filtering offers that support seniors with disabilities. There’s so many wonderful offers but most come with disclaimers. I really feel left out and excluded.
AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE 3/5
This is my first time ever traveling and I decided on booking through Travelocity. At first it was smooth sailing. Unfortunately with the covid 19 I had to cancel my original trip which was simple. I then had to wait on the phone for 2 HOURS to reschedule a flight and was almost charged $3,000. I literally was put on hold at least 7 times and during each time the agent picked up the phone there was a bunch of laughing and yelling in the background. Finally after 2 hours my flight was rebooked. I just got a notification my flights got changed so I contacted them through their virtual agent thinking it would be quicker. WRONG it took just as long and was nothing but a head ache to change my flight so I didn’t have a five hour lay over. First I was told it was $200 then was told there was no fee. Finally I was told there w re no flights with short lay overs. At this point I gave up. I ended up contacting my air line directly and thankfully my air line switch all of it over on the house without any fees because of how much of a hassle Travelocity has caused me. I will never book through Travelocity again.

Possibly the worst customer service I’ve ever encountered. I have been waiting sine January for refund on flights that the airline canceled the route (Iberia Air direct flight from Boston to Paris). Never notified of change to 13 hour layover in Lisbon. Friends traveling with were notified by the agency they used. Their on-line customer service is awful. Wait forever on phone only to be told have to deal with airline. Airline says gave to deal with Travelocity. I will never use Travelocity again and advising my friends not to. This all started well before COVID-19. Beyond frustrating. Beware.

I cancelled a Miami hotel reservation at the Coconut Grove Hotel a week before I was a scheduled to arrive on or about Mar 15 due to the pandemic. No refund on about $500. Not even a voucher for future use. Pretty ridiculous.

Worst customer service ever. Flights have been changed numerous times which would leave me stranded at my connection airport since connecting flight leaves before my first flight. The working from home agents are terrible. Canceled flights and supposed to receive an email confirmation of the cancellation and subsequent refund. Nothing. Crickets. Funny how if I want to book and pay for a new flight to the same destination on the same dates, it’s available. Lesson learned. Don’t ever use Travelocity again!

I’ve now been on 2 different trips booked through Travelocity where upon arrival I was notified by the hotel that Travelocity had cancelled my room reservation. Both times Travelocity blamed the hotel, the hotel blamed Travelocity and I was stuck in the middle on hold for hours and hours with Travelocity. I wouldn’t use them for anything other than seeing available properties in a potential destination and then booking directly with the hotel. Very poor company, zero stars should be an option.

Almost missed my flight because of this. I had to pay $210 at the airport because Travelocity had imposed a fine on my ticket for no reason at all. I had called them the day before making sure everything about my flight was in order and they didn’t mention anything about the $210 fine. Tried calling them to find out why this was, and what do I get? Put on hold for over and hour and a half all because I wanted to know what the fine was about ? It doesn’t take over an hour to check on my account and tell me what it was for. This is crazy.

Booked a trip. Received notice that the airline changed a flight that would have resulted in a missed connection. Tried to change via travelocity. Nope. Airline. Nope. Tried chatting and calling travelocity. After talking to 3 different people over the course of 3 hours, I was told the problem was fixed and that we would be booked on a flight we could actually take. Supposedly it would take 72 hours for email confirmation. 72 hours have passed. Nada. Travelocity blows. We will use a REAL travel agent in the future. Guarantee we won’t wait 3 hours before talking with someone who actually has a clue.
DON’T TRUST THEIR INSURANCE 1/5
Bought plane tickets prior to Covid-19, purchased their insurance through AIG just in case, when the closures and shelter orders started happening we cancelled our tickets, this was a vacation, no reason to sit in a hotel room only to be quarantined on our return, when I filed the claim I was informed their policy had conveniently changed, I’ve spent the last 3 months going back and fourth trying to get this claim approved, no luck, they ask the same questions over and over, request the same documents over and over, almost as if they are stalling.
Bottom line Travelocity and AIG enjoy the money - because I will NEVER use your services EVER again. You should be ashamed of yourselves for the way you’ve conducted business during this time. I put one star, but you deserve zero stars.

The application worked well in coordinating the trip and payment process but seems to have difficulty with cancellations by hotel. I wasn’t able to review the refund process through the app. I don’t want to make any assumptions about the circumstances causing this poor performance. It happened to me.

I loved this app until I tried to use a flight credit. The only option to use it is to call. I thought I had successfully booked my flight until I got an email from Delta saying my flights were cancelled because Travelocity didn’t issue ticket numbers. A very long story short, I’ve spent over 8 hours on hold between Travelocity and Delta, each saying the problem is on the other persons end. 4 days and still no tickets for the flight I had supposedly booked. It would also help if customer service was in a US-based facility where supervisors are on hand to help resolve issues, not residences in the Philippines where you can hear dogs barking and roosters crowing.

Response to the covid 19 was horrible. I purchased travel insurance and our cruise was set for May. Obviously, I wanted to keep my family safe to include 2 small children from being stranded on the ship and risk the spread of covid 19. Called Travelocity in the beginning of April to cancel our cruise and was told that the travelers insurance I purchased ($196 per person) did the cover the coronavirus and could not cancel our trip. I was told by Travelocity that if they cancel our trip I will be out $1000 or more. Our total for the trip was $2800. They lack common sense and appeared to be more worried about money then customer service. We will no longer use Travelocity.

Coronavirus canceled work travel. Somehow I was refunded for the first half of my trip but only offered a coupon for the second half at the same exact hotel for a hotel that I will never stay at ever again. Try to explain that in an expense report. THIS MAKES IT EASY FOR ME TO NEVER USE TRAVELOCITY EVER AGAIN. They STEAL from you in times of crisis.

Thanks to the COVID-19 Travelocity has found ways to rip me off for thousands of dollars. They caused a cancellation of my flight, which would have been cancelled anyway because international travel had been stopped, the problem is that I can’t get a refund from the airline because of Travelocity’s actions.

Completely discussed with travelocity. Our trip for may was cancelled due to the travel ban during the corona virus. I was informed that my vacation protection waiver I purchased will not be refunded. It was not my choice to cancel our vacation and during this epidemic all
Money should be returned to the customers. The vacation waiver did nothing to help me cancel my hotel or flight because it was more that 72 hrs before our scheduled trip. I had to contact spirit airlines and fight with them to get my funds returned. It is sad that this company is taking advantage of its customers during this situation at hand.

Worst owner ever. This lady pretended to be so many people it wasn’t even funny. She refused to issue me a refund even though it is literally on her await message if you call them that they honor all of their vendors cancellations. At first she tried to trick he into saying I canceled first, even though President Trump cancelled the airline for March 26th. Lufthansa Airlines told me she was flat out lying and told me to tell her that she should call Travel Control, Travelocity’s Boss, because Lufthansa issued the go ahead for the refund . She called and said I was correct, was going to issue me a refund and hung up on me. This happened twice before I called my credit card company to dispute it or take them to court. Either or I am fine with. I have everything on recording and she willingly knew she was being recorded and lied right to my face. Unfortunately I have to give this heap of junk 1 star or it would get 0. I’m sure the rest of the ratings are all her personalities too.

I’m one of those people that when looking for hotels I go on the multiple platforms to find the best deal. I will say this platform I’ve found the most deals. I do also like the fact they have a rewards program. My husband and I go out of town often and we have stayed at different hotels. Building up rewards points is a way of life now and helps out in the long run!
