Poor back up for problems 1/5

Made and then canceled hotel reservation over a month in advance. Received confirmation email of cancelation. I still have both those emails with Travelocity. Then on original reservation date was charged by hotel. The second day a second charge was placed on my credit card. I Called hotel-that said the reservation was never canceled. Called Travelocity. Spent almost two hours on the phone. No satisfaction. They told me they would be back to me in 24 hours. 12 days later I received an email from Travelocity that informed me the hotel would not reimburse me. Travelocity wanted me to send them proof of the charges so it could be dealt with further. They never once offered reimbursement from them as a possibility.
To date I’m bank stopped the pending 2nd charge from clearing and reimbursed me for the first charge while they investigate. The results my bank gave me took 5 minutes to get those results. I will never use Travelocity again. Once I get the final clearance letter from my bank I will delete the Travelocity app. My suggestion is be very careful using this organization. I will maintain those emails.

I have a hard time comparing class of travel( coach, economy, premium Economy, plus, business, ect)
I can only get coach or Economy as I usually fly premium Economy or Business. It would simplify my booking if this issue was addressed. It is to difficult and two man steps. Is there a simple way for me to cut out all the junk?

They have started this thing where they show you a price and then when you select the flights you want all of a sudden the price jumps like $300. Same with Expedia as they are the same company. Won’t be using either app any more.

I love Travelocity! Whenever I book through them I never have to worry about traveling. If there’s any mix up or confusion they handle it. You can also chat with them via Facebook messenger and that makes things a lot quicker when you can screenshot things and get in touch quicker! Love this app!

Do not use, I tried app and called online and none of there techs seem to know what’s going on! They charged my card 4 times and I’m still waiting for a $2700 refund!!! This was a waste of time and I will not use again!

I still can’t find where you leave ratings for a motel, but Travelocity led me to believe the Days Inn in New Market, VA would be half decent, with 3 star reviews. It was the nastiest dump I’ve been to, and I’m a trucker who stays in cheap dives a lot. Never using Travelocity again.
Las Vegas Trip for the first time 2/5

First I’d like to start with the positive. Our room was very clean. It had a little mini fridge, an iron and ironing board. We arrive to the hotel at 8:30am, but check in wasn’t until 3pm. One thing that was really appreciated by us, was the hotel allowed us to drop off our bags until check in time. I like that I was able to bundle my flight, hotel, transportation to hotel and back to airport, also some activities on one app. That made planning a little easier. However here are my negatives. I would have appreciated any forthcoming, updated information pertaining to the stay at the SLS hotel. For example-All the construction that was going on inside, outside, and around the the SLS hotel. The elevator not working effectively. I booked our 4 night stay 2 months in advance hoping this would give me enough opportunity to make any changes if needed. I booked this hotel based on Travelocity’s star rating and listed amenities. I have never been to Las Vegas nor stayed at the SLS prior, so I’m trusting and depending that the information on your website is accurate and helpful for my choosing. This hotel was listed at the time of my booking as above a 4 star Luxury hotel, so I admit I was expecting the luxury hotel experience. I was extremely disappointed there were no shops close by or inside the hotel, but one small boutique. If shopping is on the agenda you will have to walk a couple of miles to the strip or take the monorail because there are none in this hotel like all the other luxury hotels. There aren’t many restaurant choices just the few in the SLS hotel. I now know why my family and friends never heard of the SLS hotel. I am assuming because of the construction in the hotel may be the reason for the elevators being a hit or miss. Our room was on the 15th floor so waiting for the elevators many times was quite an inconvenience to us and many other guests. I LOVED LAS VEGAS!!! I can’t wait to do it again. I will definitely book a different hotel and not through Travelocity. I encourage everyone visiting for the first time to ask for a map of the Las Vegas strip. Know where your hotel is and know your transportation option before hand.
Poor sync between devices 3/5
It really frustrating to see that the app cannot sync between the iPad and the iPhone devices even though i sign n to my account.

Travelocity booked my 2 fights separately and now we have to wait in line even though we aren’t checking bags. When you book a round trip flight separately with Delta they won’t allow you to check in online. Travelocity should know this! Why use a middle man if they screw something like this up? BOOK DIRECT WITH THE AIRLINE!!

Paid a fee for upgrade and the app wouldn’t allow me to use a portion of the upgrade. Contacted support and they gave a blanket statement with zero help. Had to check back with them again and again like they were just waiting for me to forget about the issue. When you spend that kind of money on plane tickets, you’d expect better service.

I recently evacuated for Cyclone 2 Barry to the LaQuinta in Slidell LA. I made a reservation on Travelocity to check on Thursday 7/11 and check out Saturday 7/13. Upon checking in we learned the storm wasn’t hitting land fall until Saturday and asked to extend our stay one more night. The front desk at the La Quinta informed me they were booked up and have nothing available to check in on Saturday night 7/13 and check out on Sunday night 7/14. After getting settled into our room I got back on Travelocity and noticed they indeed have ONE room with double beds left that’s pet friendly and offers a dynamite breakfast at no other than the LaQuinta in Slidell LA. I went ahead and paid his the reservation through the Travelocity app then notified the front desk of the extension in our stay so we don’t have to change rooms. Our room is in the first floor since they don’t have elevators and we’re staying with our two dogs and my 81 year old mother. THANK YOU TRAVELOCITY!!! Now we don’t have sweat it and worry about finding a new hotel or rushing around in a hurricane to find a safe place with a retired K-9 German Shepard female Princess and my moms little Male dog Gobby. THANK YOU TRAVELOCITY!! We will use you again and again and again. We will continue to refer others to Travelocity.

This company will secretly charge your account without your knowledge or approval. When you receive your bank statement
you will notice a charge for booking fee through them but it will not tell you that. It will say HomeAway and their phone number. I called them on it and they don’t have a clue. Just said it was for a charge in Olson, TX which I have never been to.

Recently my boyfriend and I booked an all inclusive package to Montego Bay Jamaica. The booking was very easy! The person I spoke with informed me the airport was just a 5 min shuttle ride to our resort, and that our resort offered free transportation to and from the airport.
To our dismay, we landed in a country we had never been before expecting to find our scheduled driver from the resort. No cell service, a major language barrier, and in a new unfamiliar place... we find out we are A FOUR HOUR DRIVE from our resort. We had to fork out an unexpected $300++ to get to our destination. They flew us into the wrong end of the country!!!!! Kingston, instead of Montego Bay. The resort was great. We got over it, and enjoyed the vacation. But when we informed Travelocity of their error, and requested they change our flight home to fly out of the airport right next to our resort they said they could not do it.
Long story short, we purchased 2 plane tickets to fly us from Montego Bay back to Kingston in order to catch our flight home.
This entire error cost us an extra unexpected $600++ we could’ve spent on our vacation amenities.
If they would have switched the flights home to the correct airport, I would’ve accepted the mistake and went on my way.
I will no longer be trusting travelocity with any fo my travel needs.

Misleading prices 2/5
I received an email telling me they had found me flights on China Southern for $200. When you click on the email or go to the app, the flights are $1600 and nothing else, not even multiple options. Can only start over with new search. Website is easier but still prices are not any better than other sites and member discounts are worthless.

I had to take a flight to Puerto Rico for a family emergency, and i went to travelocity to see deals and honestly i was amazed. Everything went smoothly and i had a good experience over all. it was my first time going on a plane by myself..(well in a long time). Thank you for all your help!

When I select a room that has two beds, that’s what I want. However, your app pushed me to a one bed room because the two bed rooms were taken. Of course, I didn’t catch the change and booked it! Then I lost $150 canceling the room. I will not be using your app anymore!!!!!

Since booking my trip through Travelocity, I have been impressed and thankful for the ease of comparing options and then keeping the itinerary in one place. However, when an airline cancelled my flight a few hours before I was to be at the airport, I was thrown into a tailspin. I contacted customer support at Travelocity and I was astounded by the help I received from Miji (my apologies for probable misspelling). She worked tirelessly to explore various options with me, stayed an hour beyond the end of her shift, and ultimately got me and my daughter to the airport in the nick of time to catch two flights, flying standby, to the end result of being able to keep our college visit appointments. Thank you!

There was a cancellation on room 346 so I want it taken out of the 3 rooms at Country Inns in Hoffman Estates. Have someone send me a canceled report to my email and it removed from my account.
After entering card information, my card was charged 3 times and it showed a error. WORST APP EVER!!!! After calling had the worst customer service ever no help at all. Very disappointed.

Hotel booked was below par. There was paint smell in the room and window was broken. Big companies like this should check the hotel if it is good to accommodate people. They are just making making money and don’t care about customer experience.

My two adult children and I just returned from Golden Parnassus. It has been our third vacation there. The food is both good and plentiful, the drinks flow like a river and the staff is second to none. Their staff is always eager to accommodate your every need . Special shout out to Fonsi. Fonsi is the most amazing bartender I’ve ever seen. He is an absolute machine behind the bar. You never wait for a fresh drink! He is also extremely cordial. He is a big reason why we are return visitors. His intellect and humor are worth having a drink across the bar from him. It’s amazing how he switches from English to Spanish as needed. Bar body shots use to be fun but for what ever reason they were not allowed on our last trip, I’d like to see them return.

Problems abound, not real deals 1/5
This app is very useful and I love that it combines all of the flights and hotel brands. There are six things that just make the app terrible to use:
1. The prices change when you checkout. You might get a deal but when time to checkout you sometimes get a notification that says the price has gone up. Sometimes it’s just a few dollars but sometimes it’s hundreds. THIS IS NOT A DEAL!
2. I also wish that smaller airlines like southwest and allegiant would be shown because they actually have real deals.
3. EMAILS!!! I get stupid promotional emails every single day from this! Yes the deals are okay if you sign up but I have turned off every notification and even blocked the email but will you just shut up about deals, I’ll look on my own?! (“Deals”)
4. Absolutely awful customer service! We booked a trip to see my family in Houston, but when we arrived our hotel was almost fully booked, and our reservation was non existent. I was on the phone waiting for a couple hours and lots of waiting until I finally got a lady who could barely even speak English. I never got a refund but luckily the hotel gave us a discount.
5. Why do you jot show every offer? So many flights have 24 hour or more travel times with 8 or more hour lay overs, but when I checked the flight individually there were plenty of shorter connections. Who do you think is going to pay just a bit less to be stuck in the airport for up to 24 hours?? I wouldn’t!! Show all the options, because sometimes finding the best deal is not going to work for most people.
6. Finally, in the past week, when I try to search for a flight, I just get an error message. I even deleted the app and it didn’t work, so now I might just delete it all together.
Fix these things and the app could be perfect.

I have been looking for hotels for over a month and then I saw an add for this. I thought it would be to good to be true but I downloaded the app and I instantly found a hotel. It was much cheaper than the other sites and I was amazed. I definitely recommend this if you are looking for a hotel.
Don’t buy insurance 1/5
Don’t bother buying insurance. When u need to use it to change flights you will need to waste hours submitting forms to a website full of glitches and no success.
The rates on flights change with the amount of people traveling. It seems that they track ur searches and keep the airfare high the more u keep checking. I used to love Travelocity

“Upgrade” misleading- buyer beware 1/5
We chose to pay to “ upgrade.”We still had to pay for our bags and to choose a seat through the airline. The upgrade is a rip off. We could have gotten first class seats if we had dealt with the airline directly for the same money. We are extremely dissatisfied and spent hours on the phone with Travelocity. Nothing changed. We wasted our time and money. Buyer beware.
