Used to be good, now not so much... 1/5
By Frustrated iPad user 199
Of all the pieces of information about a trip, the record locator is among the most important and TripCase’s email parser randomly fails to find it ... and too frequently. It also names my trips with intermediate layover city names. FRUSTRATING. If TripCase’s editor was even remotely intuitive, I wouldn’t mind fixing the missing or erroneous info. Finally, I don’t see why I have to be online to check my flight info. Sitting in my seat at 30,000 feet and unable to check my connecting flight number is unacceptable. I do like the near real time gate updates, though.
Valuable travel app 5/5
By Appp fan
Keeps even the most complicated itinerary organized and accessible. Easy to share itinerary with others-yes, they need to set up access to the TripCase app on their device but they will want to use the app for their travel itineraries as well. Recently had a problem accessing my account, emailed customer support and received assistance and resolution of the issue within 24 hours.
Not available without Data 2/5
By problems off line
I downloaded this app before a trip to Europe. It gave me updated information on my flight in the US that I appreciated. Once in Europe I could no longer access it off line. I was extremely disappointed as I had many confirmations downloaded to the app.
Fantastic travel app 4/5
This is an amazing app! I would’ve given it five stars if I could check in for my flight and store my mobile boarding passes as that is the only thing missing. Highly recommend!
Was the greatest app ever 1/5
This app used to be he greatest app ever - an indispensable tool to keep my trips at my fingertips and complicated details just a click away.
Then something changed. The key feature: “link a booking” simply stopped working. SATO PNRs (record locators) stopped working, and even adding flights and rental cars manually only worked about 20% of the time. Their help selection said that American Airlines wouldn’t give them access to their flight records, but no other airlines showed up, rental cars didn’t work, and entering (even *when* it worked) information manually is no time saver.
For anyone reading this review, people like me who travel 20 days a month on a myriad of airlines and rental car companies, hotels etc would not only pay for a premium app like this but would also pay a subscription fee. I recognize this must be a tough thing to do, but if you build it AND service it we will pay.
I needed this app and it’s failed me. Please either reconsider your business model and fix your app, charge us more, or sell your idea to someone who will. You’d make money and you’d save myself and my Aide a whole lot of pain and inconvenience.
Crashed on iphone X 3/5
By Cuong P Quach
Cannot open app. It crashed so many times.
By you're a fake review service
I have had good luck with TripCase until recently when all of a sudden all the data I had inputted for an upcoming trip disappeared! All the ways I tried to retrieve the data were unsuccessful. However the thing that was most disappointing was that getting a customer service representative to help was virtually impossible. They have a system that requires you to send an email describing the problem. I waited longer than 24 hours to receive a response. The response was no help at all. I found it impossible to actually interact with a human being.
Stopped working 1/5
Love the app, but now it will not load.. Please fix
Still not working, I have to use the website version.. so frustrating changed to 1 star
Current version of app doesn’t update gate or flight time changes 2/5
Current version of app doesn’t update gate or flight time changes. Only shows original departure and arrival times in the app, does not update if flight is delayed or lands early or late. Notifications still show delays but when I open app, no updated time is shown.
This app does not seem to work in South America 2/5
Have used this app a great deal. Use to love it.
Currently on trip in South America. Several problems encountered.
1. Was allowing new flight details to be added then all of a sudden it refuses to accept any new flights.
2. App seems to have forgotten who United Airlines is! Trying to enter new flight details it comes back with airline not found .
3. App refuses to enter any rail tickets. Says Peru Rail does not exist.
4. Apps say I finished my trip would not allow me to enter more travel detail to get back home to California. Had to create a second trip and now that trip leg refuses to accept new travel details.
5. Email notices had to delete all the people then re-enter them again so ppl would receive trip details. That has also stopped working.
Use to really enjoy this app. Today it’s going south of 1-Star rating.
Developer please fix your problems by listening to real travelers feedback and not just ppl hacking away in some safe comfy office with a super fast WiFi connection !!
Don’t rely on this as your primary itinerary planner 2/5
By Captain Pleasure
Just booked a flight that’s three months out. The problem is that my return leg from Detroit to Providence shows as being from Boston to JFK. I thought I had royally messed up my reservation, but it turned out that all is well. TripCase can’t seem to handle that the flight number isn’t in use right now. Not sure where BOS to JFK came from, but the other itinerary planners I use didn’t have this problem.
Annoying timeline issue 2/5
I really like this app. Email feature alone is amazing.
It seems like items are sorted by day then order of entry. I would love to able to drag items in the order I want within a day.
Used to be better 3/5
By Cesar Tijero
Used to be very stable and easy to use. Now it keeps deleting trips and is more difficult to create trips (difficulty linking, does not work well with Expedia). Also takes ages to open and display trips.
Doesn’t work offline 3/5
This app seems useful but it will not show data when offline, such as when on an airplane and you want to remind yourself of the next connection. This is a large deficiency IMO and unnecessary since the amount of data is small and relatively stable most of the time. One other small bug: it got the timeline wrong on one trip and showed a connecting flight before the originating flight.
Can get it dangerously wrong 2/5
By not another form
As many others I have tried several trip apps. I used a recent complex trip to compare TripCase, TripIt and Kayak. The trip had 6 flights, 4 accommodations, a car hire and airport parking. Importing the emails was least effective with TripCase. It failed to import any of the accommodation and also failed to import the airport parking (Kayak imported them all). More critically I found TripCase does not sanity check the data so when American shuffled flight numbers, TripCase had me flying LA to San Jose at the same time as I was on a flight from Helsinki to San Francisco. This fixed itself once the update email arrived from American. Then TripCase had the terminal info wrong but correct gate number ( note the gate number does not exist at that the terminal it listed). On the few positives TripCase was generally better than the others at flight delays (though none got them all). Overall unimpressed as I had to manually enter much of the itinerary and not sanity checking flight data could have easily had me miss a flight
Solid, though not as good as it used to be 3/5
Not as stable as it used to be - performance issues have crept in like freezes; crashes and slowness. (I’m on an iPhone X now) Also has more trouble reading itineraries than it used to - for instance it never adds flight confirmation numbers anymore. Also travel apps from the major airlines, hotels and car rental folks have improved dramatically over the years and are easier to use now than TripCase. None of these are show stoppers but it’s not the slick, cutting edge app it was initially.
Fabulous App 5/5
GREAT GREAT GREAT GREAT GREAT. A travel must.
Not the old trip case. My flight was delayed almost one hour my notice said on time. Hardly any notices like older versions
Great app but wish it would print. 4/5
I’ve been using this app for several years and enjoyed the ease with which you can import reservations. Usually just forward the email you received for confirmation and it will add it to TripCase.
It is very easy to keep all of your bookings for a trip in one simple place. My wife likes to keep a hard copy of reservations and that is something that I cannot figure out how to print from the TripCase app.
Won’t load 1/5
Thanks for the update won’t load on either iPad or iPhone. My trip starts tomorrow. Nice job
Problem with adding flight info 1/5
After the latest updates I am unable to add flight information as no airlines are found neither by name nor code :(
Solid app 5/5
I’ve used it for years. It’s simple to use and good at importing data from email. Load time is a little slow, but other than that i have no complaints.
Great App 3/5
I loved this app when I first got it. It had the weather at each location and a way to explore nearby restaurants and sights. They have now removed all that and there is nothing that makes this app stand out. I rated this a three because I still like the app just disappointed that they have removed some of the features.
It really helps a lot but... 3/5
It isn’t easy to include cruise details, even for cities and time of arrivals and departures. I would also like to choose photos for the cities that will be visited (like the old version) or the ship cruise.
Latest update made things worse 2/5
The latest update made the app no longer usable on my iPhone 7 running iOS 11.3. It’s a shame b/c I loved the app before that.
Add time zone of person reading itinerary 5/5
I would like to suggest you add the local time of the person reading the itinerary. I always share my travel plan with my family and office and it would make it easier for them to know what time it is for me relative to them. This is very useful for far away trips.
Terrible App 1/5
My travel agent loaded my trip into this horrible app. 20 minutes signing up. I have 6 verification emails in my inbox yet no matter how many times I click “verify” it just doesn’t seem to take. This app was thrust on me by my travel agent and I will make sure she never uses this garbage again because it has not made my trip easier, it just literally wasted 20 minutes of my life for absolutely nothing 🙄😒
Major crash 1/5
By Matt in DC
The receipt function simply does not work. I downloaded the app in May 2018 with the latest iPhone update. Where I try to take a photo the app simply closes. I restarted the iPhone and deleted and reinstalled the app.
Now I have to login to make sure the developer does not charge me $5.99/yr for a useless service. I would like them to pay me for my wasted time.
Doesn’t sync with Apple Watch 3 1/5
I forwarded 2 flights to the app. They show up correctly on the iphone. However, the watch app showing “ No travel plans”
App doesn’t work 1/5
By Sheldon dude
I’ve been trying to access the app on my phone for a few weeks now with no luck. It just spins & spins. I have to go to the web version. It’s a shame —it worked well when I could get it open.
iPhone X support - finally 5/5
this was the only thing missing in the App for a long time.
I'm glad you finally added to it.
Updating my review
Great app! 5/5
Updated to support the iPhone X!
New updates are not loading 1/5
By Carlos Frutos-Garmendia
New last two updates are not working or loading in iPhone X with iOS 11.3.1. Please do a full review of the updates.
Can no longer sign in with Facebook 2/5
Since the latest update I can no longer sign in with Facebook
Nice Update! 4/5
This is the second update in as many days. I do use this app on occasion. Bit to be quite honest, was about to delete it because there was no iPhone X compatibility until today. Thank goodness, it’s finally here. Thank you TripCase!
Good but 4/5
By joey di
Please update the app for iPhone X resolution!
What’s taking SOOOOOOO long?! 1/5
STILL no iPhone X support?! Give me a break.
Easy to use and well equipped 5/5
I love this app! It’s easy to use as I just need to input the flight numbers and it’ll automatically generate an itinerary with airport and weather information etc. It also notifies me on the gate change or delays of the flight. Been using it for two years.
Used to love it. 1/5
I used to love it. Used it all the time to track my clients. Now it takes FOREVER to open on phone and continually crashes. So frustrating.
Struggling iPhone app 2/5
I love TripCase and we as a family have relied on it for many years. Not sure what happened recently, the app works just fine on our iPads and on the website, but the iPhone app has given us nothing but trouble. The main trips page never loads. The app will load a frame, but not the content.
I’d be more than happy to give this app ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ if these issues get resolved.
This app is consistently unreliable. It crashes often and makes it difficult to add new events!
If the developer spent the proper time, it could really be an excellent app.
Impossible to add a trip 1/5
I tried all options offered by the app to add my trips but none of them worked. A waste of time
Not usable any longer 1/5
Was great, until it stopped working. Won’t load.
Not working the way it should 1/5
I have tons of flights I am trying to manually enter as I do not have an email confirmation to forward but it won’t let me.
Not sure what is happening now 2/5
By An iPad novice
I’ve been using Tripcase for years now for 5 years and have been very happy. But now I’m having problems. Today I tried to check in for a flight but it turns out that TripCase recorded the wrong locator #, so it took me 40 minutes to sort that out so I could check in (late, now). But then no matter how I tried, I was unable to correct the locator # so that I can check in on my return flight. I don’t know why the editing function is suddenly off for this trip but with bugs like this I’ll definitely be looking for another app, since I do travel regularly and this problem caused me to wonder if I had forgotten to book the flight after all.
Add campgrounds! 3/5
Please add campgrounds to your lodging options. I love having everything in 1 place but 75% of our travel is campground and TripCase doesn’t know what to do.
My trip was erased, can’t edit trips either 1/5
I’ve used TC for years and been very happy, until now. I had a trip to Madagascar/S. Africa entered and needed to add some lodging, a task that I’ve done in the past. Not only would TC not allow edits to the trip, when I emailed them to ask why, my trip suddenly disappeared from my TC app. Seems I’ll need to rebuild it and/or go to another app unless TC can fix this quickly.
Rarely opens 1/5
Seriously, why does these app NOT open?
Just not good enough...
Very good app but receipts feature isn't good 4/5
The app does many things well except the receipt function. The quality is very poor when zooming to get the details. If that was better it would be 5 stars
Good app 4/5
By Hadley Stern
Works well but please update for iPhone X, it’s been out a while.
