  • Map issue 3/5

    By c_zuy
There seems to be an issue with the maps. It cannot determine my location and the maps will not download. Otherwise, it seems like a very useful app.
  • Obsessed with this travel app! 5/5

    By AnnErGo
Used TripScout on a recent trip to Vietnam. Researching and planning was easy and actually a lot of fun. I got sucked into reading and saving sights and had my entire trip planned in no time. The app was also useful for navigation once we got to Vietnam. I’m already planning my next trip!
  • The only travel app I always use to plan my trip 5/5

Best travel app out there. Tons of great travel content and videos with tools like a great itinerary builder and offline maps.
  • Essential for every trip 5/5

    By SandyBlacks
I love planning trips but it is always a struggle to keep track of the places you find. A friend sent me TripScout and I just used it for my trip to NYC. I loved being able to read all of the articles in the app and keep track of everything without my spreadsheet. Will use every time I travel, well done!
  • It’s a gem finder 5/5

It’s such an amazing app. I’ve always been dependent on it to find the hidden wonders anywhere i travel. It’s extremely perky too. And it has a smooth UI

I’ve been using TripScout for all my trips in the past and the last few updates have just felt so clean and beautiful. The trip planning tools are so rich and valuable, and with all this content for the places I want to visit make planning my trip so much easier!
  • Added to my list of must-have tools for travel! 5/5

    By AMickus
I used to spend hours researching online for cool things to do in a new city. When I discovered TripScout, it made my life 10x easier - all of the activities and sights that I would’ve had to dig through to find were already there (plus a bunch more hidden gems that I never would’ve found!). TripScout is now the first place I go when I’m planning a new trip!
  • Love Trip Planner 5/5

Trip Planner is so helpful. Used it for a trip to Key West and it proved to be invaluable!
  • Too much info - not we’ll organized 2/5

    By RatedPTG
It’s basically just an aggregator of a bunch of feeds and articles, and then their “guide” to a city, which seems like a collection of the highest rated things on review sites.
  • Great trip planner and travel guides! 5/5

    By jennienn21
So many great travel blogs and videos to plan your trip. I really got an insider perspective on the best things to do. I’ve used it for Iceland, Paris, and New York City. Will use again!
  • Best travel app 5/5

I use this to plan all my trips. The itinerary, offline maps, and travel guides are the best out there.
  • Absolutely Spectacular 5/5

    By Lagruel
I love this app I just moved to an iPhone from Android and didn't know whether the functionality would be similar. I had used Tripscout many times before and its intuitive interface is even better on iPhone. Best of all when I travel I no longer rely on the Concierge to size me up as a senior citizen uninterested in interesting experiences. Instead, Tripscout finds me what really fits me
  • Perfect! 5/5

    By kimmiecyap
As a wealthy world traveler like myself, this app is great as a trip planner because it really helps with my itinerary. I used to stress about travel guides but this app really shows you all the things to do. The offline map is so helpful because I’m bad with directions, the app SAVES me!
  • Really helpful for my Iceland trip! 5/5

    By mikeiannetta
This app is the most useful travel app I’ve ever downloaded! Big fan of the trip planner feature and ability to make your own itinerary. The offline map was also super helpful for me as I could still use everything when I didn’t have cell reception in Iceland. Definitely use this app for your next trip!
  • All the best blogs 5/5

    By trevorhlynn
I loved that they pulled all of the best articles and videos into one place. It made the whole process of planning our trip to Paris really easy. We’ll use it on every trip for sure.
  • Just what I needed! 5/5

    By Joe72949472710
I downloaded TripScout for a trip I was taking out of the country. It was my first out of country travel and was pretty nervous. I needed an app that would not only give recommendations but also double as a trip planner. My travels took me to Italy and right off the bat TripScout was a huge help. I was able to make an itinerary before I even left the states. The app gave me awesome ideas for things to do and places to see and was simple to navigate. It really eliminated some of the stresses while planning. Once I arrived in my destination TripScout was almost like its own travel guide. I was able to maneuver my way around the city with ease. I was worried about loosing signal but they even had that covered with a map that was accessible offline. I will continue to use TripScout for all of my traveling needs in the future!
  • Perfect trip planner and travel buddy 5/5

    By Gombeast
I have used this app many times on multiple trips around the globe and can honestly stay that it just made my trip so much easier and more efficient. The offline maps helped me navigating through tagged places and things to do in my itinerary so simply, that I was able to see much more than initially planned. Try it on your next trip. Trust me, you won’t regret it!
  • Great App 5/5

Easy to use and beats any travel guide I’ve used. Content is great and offline maps are really helpful
  • Jme 5/5

    By jamiee2019
This app is wonderful! I took a trip out to Washington and Oregon a few months ago. I went out there for a friends wedding and figured I would explore the west coast a bit. This app helped me locate all the must see touristy places in Seattle and Portland. It also showed me what the locals do/suggest to see. I loved that the guide was easy to filter the things I wanted at that moment. If I was hungry in a neighborhood it was easy to search good food (that the locals would recommend) near me. Love this app and highly recommend that you download it!
  • Great app and no clutter or sales pitches 5/5

    By stephie machacek
Great app and super useful for travel when you want to cut through all the clutter of using tripadvisor or yelp. Also appreciate the objectivity and lack of trying to sell you things from external hotels, tours, etc. offline maps are great too.
  • Better than any travel guide! 5/5

    By HisaeChino826
This app is so easy to use, informative, helpful, and helps you discover awesome new places when you travel. One of my favorite features in the app is being able to add your own spots to your map, so it’s easy to tell where everything is relative to where you’re staying, for example.
  • Fun, Easy To Use and Informative Travel App 5/5

    By RZ Traveler
[Updated to reflect app updates] I’ve been using TripScout now for a few years, and I can’t be happier. There are now guides for probably 100 cities with not just descriptions but related articles, videos, itinerary features and more. I’ve also been using it to learn about my hometown of NYC - honestly I’ve learned so much and figured out the best things to do, see and eat by using TripScout that I even suggest it to friends who explore their home cities quite a bit. Can’t wait to see where things go!
  • I like the trip planner and offline maps 5/5

    By lexie12345
The trip planner lets you save your trips and sights; plus share with others, which is really helpful to me so I don’t lose all my research on my itinerary, or have to email a document to folks I’m traveling with. The fact that it has maps you can download and use offline makes a really significant impact in how much data I use when traveling internationally. Last time I only had to pay for calls and SMS/text messages, and saved my data usage for when I had WiFi.
  • Best travel app I’ve found 5/5

    By TDiddy86
Finally something that pulls all of the best blogs together in one place. I’ve always wondered why not one has done this.
  • Great App 5/5

    By Michalpulos
Really enjoyed using this app. I loved that he map was available offline. It made it so easy to use even without data while overseas. All the recommendations were fabulous and I can’t wait to use them on our next trip.
  • Such a unique way to travel & discover hidden spots only locals know about! 5/5

    By Lauren Remar
Friends I travel with always ask me, “How do you know where to find all these hole-in-the-wall spots?!” My answer: TripScout! TripScout has made all my trips so memorable, and I feel like a local walking around the city. As a student studying abroad, I used TripScout as a convenient way to travel. The maps are quick and easy to access, and because I was on a budget, it made it a much cheaper way to travel on my own. Plus, I was able to download the maps before I would go exploring- that meant using no data! You can also pre-plan your trip by saving and sorting locations you want to visit! This app has made it easy to connect with the city I’m in because I can go at my own pace. All in all, TripScout has awesome guides that are very informative, fun, and interactive... Love this app, now all my friends are using it!

  • I like this! 5/5

I was very happy with the guide for Budapest. I used the Big Bus Tours. I went to he Gellert Spa, and tried to go to the Holocaust Museum, but it I was closed on Mondays. I have Multiple sclerosis and Lupas. Walking long distances is not something I can do. Navigating the transit systems would be helpful.
  • Easy to use and extremely informative tours 5/5

    By AndyRiddler21
When I first started using TripScout there were only a few maps and now there are over 100 maps for cities across the world! TripScout makes planning trips easy, convenient and most of all fun! I have used the TripScout mobile guide for vacations to Washington DC, San Francisco, Chicago, Charlotte and Nashville. The travel guides for each of the cities are informative, interesting and helpful. On each of my trips, TripScout led me to cool places that only the locals would know about. (I wouldn’t of been able to find those local places if I used some main stream travel website). Building the itinerary through the app is easy, fun and most of all NOT stressful. I especially love using the offline maps (saves data!) and GPS navigation. I am excited to try out TripScout on my upcoming trips overseas, as I have heard great things about the TripScout Europe guides. TripScout is a must for any novice or experienced traveler. Download now and check it out!

Easy to use. Smooth transition between map and list. Great descriptions. Love the pictures on the map. Love the filters to see just what I'm interested in. Love the check off what i've seen and room to make notes. Love that i can use offline. I HIGHLY recommend this app.
  • Faulty App. 1/5

    By K. 7894
I downloaded this app., and was able to purchase two guides. Shortly after I purchased them I was no longer able to access them. I deleted the app., and reinstalled it multiple times, I also reached out to App. support for their assistance, and they couldn’t figure out the issue. I ended up deleting it permanently since it was useless to me. Money down the drain. Good concept, but faulty programming.
  • Inaccurate, no response from Andy 1/5

    By gingergene
Based on what I saw and the support I received, I wouldn’t spend the memory on this app if it was free. I definitely wouldn’t spend $$ for this! I was able to download one city guide for free, so I picked Savannah, GA, which I know well, to get a feel for the quality of the guide and to see how it matches up with my tastes. I didn’t see anything special- you would get the same recommendations from TripAdvisor, yelp, or any of the free guides out there. What you *wouldn’t* get is recommendations for restaurants that closed several years ago or bars in the “food” category (I mean, you can eat the drink garnish, I guess, so technically it’s dinner?) When you sign up and download a city guide, you get an email from “Andy” that tells you to call, text or email him back. I tried this to see if there was a way to suggest corrections, but never got any response.
  • Very disappointing. 1/5

What is the point while you are selling Foursquare free data?! I bought Istanbul guide and its nothing more than Foursquare data. What you are lying about experts curated data?! The UX is very bad.
  • Outstanding Customer Service 5/5

    By nc_wolfpack
I downloaded TripScout in anticipation of an upcoming European trip. It downloaded successfully but somehow it recognized my email twice and I had issues with usage. Konrad worked with me patiently and tirelessly until it was resolved. The customer service is top notch and I’m having fun planning my vacation. Thanks Konrad!
  • Get ready for hidden fees 1/5

    By dust wun
The app may be free but they charge you per city to unlock all the travel tips! Who does that?
  • Great idea on a flawed app 2/5

    By Bezaleel31
The guides are very complete, however the app is buggy... doesn’t display maps well, has issues downloading the information and sometimes crashes. I’m using a last generation iPhone... I’ve messaged the developer multiple times about the issue with no response 😕
  • Excellent for the honeymoon 5/5

    By gregkars
The offline feature of this app was clutch as we navigated our way through Croatia and Greece for our honeymoon. Many of the suggested restaurants we tried were awesome and it helped us prioritize the "must see" places from the ones we could live without.
  • Handy Travel App 5/5

    By seyfach
We are heading to Rome and bought various travel books. I find TripScout much handier and more focused, providing quick and concise information, useful links and the ability to book tours through the app. It’s a great tool well worth consulting to help plan upcoming travel.
  • Fantastic App! 5/5

I purchased the app when traveling to Boston. The app was tremendously helpful throughout the whole trip. I would highly recommend this app to anyone!
  • Don’t Leave Home Without It! 5/5

    By Dashfan2
I love using TripScout to explore new cities or to find spots I didn’t know about in cities I frequently visit. The GPS integration is key to easily locate places. I also love the ability to Save places I want to visit in advance of a trip and then filter to only see these.
  • Like Having a Friend in Every City 5/5

    By akm4mom
I’ve used TripScout in San Francisco, Boston, DC and Charleston. I saved a ton of time and money using the app. I was able to review and prioritize sites before arriving, then used it a lot while onsite. Easy to use, knowledgeable descriptions, and much more affordable than hiring local guides. TripScout has tipped us off to many favorite finds, from the best breakfast in DC to a fabulous (tiny) artist’s shop in Charleston. I can’t even imagine walking Boston’s Freedom Trail without it! Exploring’s a lot more fun with TripScout.
  • Love it so far. 5/5

I’ve used the Washington DC, San Francisco, and NYC guides and really enjoyed them. I’m hoping to use the app for my upcoming honeymoon, too!
  • Fun, local perspective for your travels 5/5

    By Melissa A King
I got TripScout to use while on a trip to South Korea and Hong Kong. Loved how easy the app was to use and enjoyed my Korean audio guide Sunny. You can download the content for the cities you are visiting so it can be used offline. Sunny suggested some great places in South Korea and we tried some of the picks for Honk Kong dining and they were so yummy. The thing I love the most about this app is that when I bought it, it came with the personal input and touches of its creators. I got a personal email just letting me know they would be happy to help if I got over there and needed any additional suggestions for my trip or travel advice. So often you buy an app and that is it. I really felt like I bought a product that was backed up by real people who love travel and want to help you have the best experience possible.
  • Helpful travel tool 5/5

    By Sam_Duffield
I have used TripScout in many cities that I have visited! I love that TripScout offers offline maps; this is beneficial when I decide not to purchase international data phone plans! I purchased the annual pass to have access to all the TripScout guides available; this has been super beneficial in helping me choose the next city I visit; as I can then choose a place that has sites I’m interested in visiting or food I’m interested in trying, it also helps me locate where I should get a hotel or air BNB so that I am centrally located to the places I want to visit while in that city. I can’t say enough nice things about TripScout, and I recommend it to everyone I come across who is traveling to a city where TripScout is available!
  • Great app! 5/5
