My membership was canceled due to a banking problem. While getting transferred to numerous of people to figure out the problem, I’ve waited two weeks for an email response stating that all memberships were final and that they can no longer help me. Customer service is terrible and slow with communication. I sure wish someone would make a better application

The fun of using TURO, is I get exactly the car and I want - exact model, make & color. It’s quite smooth - very easy to rent off my computer or phone. The TURO app is so easy to use. Started in 2015 renting cars, when it was initially Relay Rides. I always aim to receive excellent reviews - I take car of the cars I rent as if they are mine. Thanks for the fun & vsriety TURO.

I’ve been trying to find a car for my mini vaca in Cincinnati but it keeps coming up no cars are available. I’ve even tried different locations , different days , etc. But when I use safari it works. So just need to fix the app pls

Looked at this app for a month before I was in a situation to use it. I went threw the sign up process and had my money deducted and trip booked right. WRONG! I get a text message saying my trip was canceled yet there was no email in my inbox toward the fact. I called at 11pm the owner after verifying that the car was indeed intact from earlier. So in soeaking with the owner he too received a text so I finally locate a number to TURO. I begun speaking to someone at 11 and issued me the verification team will email me. No emails still I stayed up most of the night and have to work at 9am and needed a vehicle by 8am. Again no email to why my account was canceled and I haven’t received a re fund nor an email about this. Again I called was put on HoLD for 10 min to be disconnected after waiting. 4th call now to have no resolution or find out the cause of my Cancellation and still my money not returned so I can rent another vehicle!!!! Don’t use the service

Lot of choices and very nice vehicles.
One minor improvement is making easier to sign up on-line additional driver with a possibility of referral or option for becoming a member.

I am a first time user and I was pretty excited about this app. I booked a trip a week out and was speaking to the car owner. Everything seemed great. The day of my trip, they finally got around to looking at my driver's license which had an error. So, an hour before my flight they cancelled my trip with no opportunity to resolve. I get it, it's new and there are a lot of compliance issues. But the way they handled everything left much to be desired.

My last two rentals have been cancelled from the owners with less than 2 days is anticipation when I booked them with at least one week of distance. If you cancel your trip you have to pay a fee... Not sure what happens the other way. Just be careful and have an option just in case.
Only made a few trips and my car already got destroyed. Of course the insurance company doesn’t want to help because I made my claim 24 hours after it happened but I was extremely busy during that period. Delisting my car immediately.

I got charged $16 because I didn’t wash the car on the outside when I only rented the car for 2 days. The owner told me to take it and wash it myself or else he’d charge me on the app.
NOBODY informed me that I had to wash the car. I live in one of the most polluted cities in the US: Los Angeles. Cars exterior naturally get dirty due to this. A JOKE

Nas was wonderful to work with and made our trip to Nantucket with two kids a breeze! Met us at the ferry with the car and provided two car seats. Huge to not have to travel with our own. We highly recommend!
This app is so trash, horrible customer service and always on hold. Some of the people who put their cars on the app are rude as ever as well. And he was late to the drop off and the car wasn’t even registered in his name.

I have used Turo once, which is too many times. In fact once is enough to ruin your life.
My friend and I used it where the car owner Xavier verbally abused us and told us we were not educated for finding the keys in the crazy maze he put us in, in quest for finding the keys. Who hides them? What is this gladiator? No, I’m innocently renting a car which should be an easy task, I understand safety is vital but HOW IS IT SAFE TO HIDE KEYS AT AN UNKNOWN
ADDRESS? We managed to use the car after the owner still continue to verbally abuse us and write inappropriate messages to us throughout the day that had nothing to do with the car.Turo did nothing to help me in this position, they charged me, and GAVE ME zero compensation.
The second time my friend used Turo and the owner of the car told them there was a missing oil cap after they had the car and booked. WHY DO YOU HAVE A CAR ON THE APP WHEN IT’S UNEQUIPPED?
Should they not be monitoring this?

Ruined by car owners who scam you by listing false cars 1/5
I have used turo twice. Both times I had a miserable experience with the car owner. The first time Xavier harassed me and wouldn’t stop texting me the whole day about personal things nothing to do with the car, after he had insulted me and asked me if I was ‘educated’ or not because I couldn’t find where he had hidden the car key in his water heater. Second time I rented a car, the guy Hector didn’t even have the advertised car when I showed up and after much pain with Turo days later they refunded the correct pricing of the car. For my trouble the con artist agreed not to charge for extra mileage and since I trusted him I didn’t ask for this to be written. That was my mistake since of course he charged me for extra mileage and even after turo saw all his unprofessional behavior they supported him and charged me because once again they only care about making money.
It’s a great idea but too bad scamming con artists are the ones renting out their cars and not normal civilians. And too bad turo doesn’t comprehend the importance of protecting their customer.
Gladly deleting this. I would rather take the subway next time and save the trouble.

Worst experience I could have ever had. On my very first rental the guest did not return the vehicle on time. Was able to re-book for additional time without any fines or penalties. And then proceeded to not be on time for the return for which they had extended.

This works well for us because we have two cars and it’s not a big deal if one is rented out. So far so good... we’ve had 3 different customers already this month and all have been a good experience for us and them. The app is straight forward and works well. Recommend!
Turo removes owners cancellations from car owners accounts 1/5
I tried to rent a Jeep in Tierra Verde Florida by Patrick and saw a few cancellations and did not think anything of it until the owner cancelled the last minute on me. I went back and left a message with Turo and it seems they removed all the cancellations by the owner. I know for a fact he had three cancellations including mine. Turo does not keep an honest log or Information available to renters. I will not rent from them and have told quite a few potential renters to go elsewhere. Renters beware...you have been warned.
Don’t waste your time and money renting out your vehicle with Turo. The customer crashed my car and Turo didn’t cover the damage even with pictures to prove the damage. They will apologize and hang up on you but your problem won’t get resolved. Stay away from being a part of Turo. I put so much miles on the car for little money and when it comes to damage they won’t even reach out to the customer to ask about the incident.

I have used Turo for over a year and a half and have found their service to be a big risk.
First, you have to give individual car owners or private rental companies pictures of your driver’s license (some of these people have sounded really sketchy on the phone and their only qualification for having my personal birthdate, address, etc is owning a car). I assumed Turo would hold this information and release it only if necessary for insurance claims, etc. But they assured me in their customer service emails that individual car owners were also intended to have it directly and I had no option but to give that info to them.
Then, if your renter cancels a trip within hours of your departure, Turo does not help you get a replacement, so you can be left in a lurch or delayed by many hours before you can find a replacement rental start time (start times are always future-offset from the current hour).
Finally, my latest rental charged me double the cost in “damages”. However, it is clear from “before” pictures saved in the app that at least one of the issues the owner seeks compensation for was already in existence when I rented the car. Turo completely ignored my claim (I pointed them to specific pictures in the app) without addressing what I’d sent at all. They simply sent a tone-deaf email back saying they planned to charge me for all damages and offering no recourse.
My experience in speaking with their customer service over the past year and half has consistently been like talking to a brick wall. It feels pretty clear that they focus on and side with their suppliers - i.e. car owners, which I understand from a business point of view. However, as a driver, it’s too much of a personal risk for me to participate in anymore.
Turo looked reasonable and I support sharing-economy companies, in general. But be very cautious in the case of Turo. Be sure to research alternatives.

Used Turo for the first time last week and had an excellent experience! One tiny quirk I noticed with the app is messaging can be slow. While messaging with the owner of the car I was receiving email notifications before the message was displayed in the app. Should work to get more real-time messaging. Otherwise, great app!
Most Host try to do insurance claims on damages you didn’t even do and Turo doesn’t try to fight for you they simply hand over the bill and you’re left with it to pay. I will not use this app ever again. It was all good until I got a bad host trying to do some insurance job to get money.

Tried to rent two different cars that were listed as “instant bookings.” The first person cancelled on me same day, and the second one never got back to me. He never answered his phone or emails when I went to the location to pick up the car. Very disappointed. I suggest if you need reliable service, stick to legitimate car rental companies.
