IntelligentHome is Time Warner Cable’s home management system that provides next-generation home security, comfort, control, automation and energy management. With the IntelligentHome iPhone/iPad app, you can remotely access and control your system from anywhere.     The alarm part works fairly well, however it is nearly impossible to control the thermostats. Spectrum has tried repeatedly to get the thermostat to respond but admits the system is flawed. Terrible company to work with. Get a Nest or any other product. Also, the IntelligentHome thermostats are not programmable. Ie, you cannot have them come on at 7:00 each morning and go off two hours later. It must be done manually at the thermostat.

    Base gets stuck when disarming, causing alarm to come on! Have to use my phone to disarm it! I think it’s time to try something different 🙃😞🙃

    I understand spectrum does want to carry home security options but, this app has not been updated in over a year and there are still plenty of us who continue to pay for and use the service. Get it together or don’t offer home security at all!

    Had system for short period of time and found it to be very reliable and service techs were outstanding if needed when first installation was started. I'm pleased with mobile app also. Thermostat still has glitches occasionally. When setting alarm from app it doesn’t always respond and generally has to be rebooted.Apparently more work has to be done to bring app up to better standards.

    The camera lags. It’s slow. When I try to access the camera through my mobile, it takes forever to pop up. I have to exit out and click on it again so it can pop up. Takes forever to log on and arm and disarm the alarm. I hate it. Plus the WiFi is so slow for as much they charge. WiFi pop in and out.

    I doubt this will be read, but after a total service outage recently, my TWC IntelligentHome app no longer connects. There is little to no support offered.

    The app is ok but could be better. The response time is slow, there’s often a lag in true camera views and it times out too soon if trying to view for a long period. Oh, why not record 24/7?

    I can’t believe they haven’t updated this in a YEAR! Sometimes the login takes forever. Then you have to close the app and retry. Also- the thermostats have a real issue with the commands. Needs an update, BADLY.

    It’s as if Time Warner has decided to let the legions of other security providers win. Why? You have great equipment and people who help. The app is never updated, slow and the cameras showing at all is hit and miss. Just imagine that you own the pipe to the home, the data inside and have better equipment - yet ring and other off brands build market share. Cmon Time Warner - lose the arrogance and commit to offering the best security platform.

    App works great. Does everything I need. For those with complaints on cameras or speeds keep in mind if you are on WiFi with your phone it could be a bad WiFi connection and if you are on your cell it’s going to use your phone so if you have junk reception it’s your phone. I noticed a few comments on cameras loading slow also- once again if your WiFi has been reception or your cell it’s obv not going to load fast.

    I have reported multiple bugs with the app not reflecting status shown on the system touchscreen. After receiving no feedback or resolution, I call back every month and promised an escalation or actual resolution, and a call back within a week or so. IF the call back happens, the agent calling has no notes or memos as to why they are calling me, and the issue is reported all over again. Has been continuing for over a year now.

    The system is always buffering sometimes when I come home the system freezes up and I can’t cut the alarm of in time before it goes off. The camera moves slow when someone is in its view. All in all I would not recommend anyone to get this service it is horrible and a waste of money. Look for services somewhere else

    Easy to use. No problem ever! Only thing that happens is the batteries in the thermostat need to be replaced about every 4 months. Otherwise its great!

    Burglar(s) are able to somehow, or another, burglaries the apartment without any images captured. The alarm doesn’t go off despite-the fact the alarm was turned on!

    I love this app! When we go on vacation I was so busy with getting everything that I would forget to turn on the away feature. That never happens now! When things settle down, I can just open my phone and turn on the security! When we are a few miles from home, I just turn it off so my husband isn’t blasted with sirens anymore, yes I forgot to tell him the code one time and the police came! Never happens with the home intelligence app!

    Overall, the app is provides a sense of security. However, from time to time, one of the outdoor cameras takes forever to "calculate the route". It often times out before I can view what I want to see. When everything works, it's a very handy app.

    The biggest issue I have is that every time I select to arm the system away, it arms it stay, so I have to disarm and then re-arm again. Every time! Other than that super annoying issue, it’s a basic app that works as needed.

    Always problems with it. It is so slow that I rather run into the house to turn the alarm off. Is easy for anyone to brake into the apartment as YouTube teaches how to control the TW system from outside. They totally paralyzed the system, a waste of money and not security.

    I use this app several times a day to watch my dog when she goes outside. It takes forever for the cameras to connect. Once connected if I click on a camera and make it full screen, the system boots me out. This happens 3-5 times before it will remain connected to the camera. Also sometimes the camera doesn’t connect at all; it just circles around. At those times I have to log out then log back in. Frustrating.
