I rented online, and though I received a confirmation from U-Haul, I was unable to access the 24/7 pickup as the instructions advertised. I was on the phone for over an hour with a call representative outside of the location in the heat, and they were unable to resolve the situation. I also had hr movers I paid waiting for my arrival. The representative then transferred me to a local U-Haul location to attempt to help me. I then had to Uber to an additional location with leaving me without movers available and taking an additional day to move.

The service was amazing. Check in was easy and we were upgraded to a larger truck because we realized we needed a bigger one. The check in lady Crista in Fayetteville NC was happy to oblige. The truck ran smoothly and check out was smooth and fast since we could do it online. Thank you for this smooth process. We will absolutely use U-Haul again in the future.

Most terrible customer service I’ve EVER EXPERIENCED! 1/5
U-Haul had me pick up a truck 20 miles from my home, the sales rep had no clue about the U-Haul policies, told me I could change my drop off location at any time, even after I told him I needed to drop it off by 8 am,
Turns out most stores don’t open til 9am, customer service couldn’t even help me or override the drop off, then they send me to a foothill location, where they’re supposed to have room for the truck, they do NOT! Mind you at this point I’ve already put gas to fill it up to the correct amount, then I have to drive home and take it to a different location, had to miss my dr appointment because of this!
Then I get to the new drop off. Finishing dropping off the truck with the app and an employee comes out screaming st me that I need to wait for her workers to sign me out and I can’t use the app.. what a joke! Never again uhaul, terrible company

The app requires you to take pictures on so many screens when you go to pick up. This wouldn’t be an issue if the app would actually keep the photo and not crash. For every single picture I had to retake the photo dozens of times before it finally added it, and then sometimes the screen would just go white and have to restart. I haven’t used an app this unreliable in a long time and never will again. At least test your own app u-haul!

I’ve been to many UHaul locations and I can honestly say this is the best experience I’ve ever had! Ashley and the rest of the employees were so helpful and accommodating. In addition the trucks were spotless! I will definitely use this location again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it

Overall, the app worked great. Very logical and easy to use. No problems getting approved.
Since I am a repeat customer, using trucks in back to back weeks, it would be nice if the preapproval was streamlined such that when I’m renting my second truck in a couple days, I don’t have to repeat the entire process of re-entering my drivers license, my verification, etc. It would be nice if the app in the system remembered it for repeat customers.

How hard is it to put the utility dolly one adds and pays for in the U-Haul? This happens far too often and it has and will continue to cause injuries that moving people are trying to avoid hence adding the dolly.

I have used U-Haul more times than I can count throughout the years. I have rented enclosed trailers (multiple times), car haulers, and box vans and have never had a bad experience with any U-Haul location. Their app makes reserving and returning their property a breeze.

This is a convenient way to get the truck while not having to deal with incompetent or rude employees but it’s definitely not quicker. It requires you to take photos of your license, truck, and odometer. It requires you to input information you already included in your reservation. Then takes minutes while being reviewed and approved by what I assume is an online agent. When you return you are required to take photos all over again.

First off the Touch ID doesn’t even work. I don’t even know why it’s even on there. Second I don’t understand why you have to log in twice. I mean you HAVE TO log in once to even access the app. You can’t jus browse the app. You HAVE TO create an account. Ok no problem. Then you get in there and they ask you to verify all this stuff. So u add all the info. Car, Credit Card, DL etc. you get an 100%. Do you think your good. Nope. So now you want to reserve a trailer (Now keep in mind that you’ve NEVER logged out of the system) and they ask for the vehicle your gonna be using. Which you’ve already added. Do you think it would jus be there since you literally jus logged in NOPE. They want you to log in again in order to have you vehicle be on the drop down box. Which I personally think is crazy. I’ve already been logged in when I first opened the app. Why do I have to log in again 2 seconds later. That needs fixed ASAP. Until then my rating will stay at 1 star.

I also rented an appliance dolly and rolling cart. For after hours I don’t know what to do with them . There was nothing in the return app about it. I locked the cart in the drivers cab and am holding on to the dolly until business opening tomorrow because I don’t want to be liable if it’s stolen out of the back, which is unlocked.

To get the rental, you have to have a live chat with an agent. I waited and waited for a response from an agent in the chat room, no reply. Had to go into office to get reservation completed, something I was trying to avoid by using the app. App requires camera and location access, so if privacy is a priority, forget U-Haul.

The app constantly changes what i am renting. Trying to rent a covered trailer and it kept changing to a Utility trailer.
When i finally get what i want rented, i look in my reservations and its back to a Utility trailer again. It also kept denying me access to some trailers with my 1Ton 5.9l van, but then it would allow it.
When i called support, they confirmed it was a covered trailer as i wanted.
Just call the 800# and ditch this app. Its not done yet.

Great customer service at this location! By far the best in Pittsburgh. I have rented several trucks for various moves for myself and family and this location has had the friendliest staff and cleanest trucks. They even offered us some cold water on the because it was 90 degrees out. I will be using this location only from now on!

Your guy charged me for a dolly and didn’t load it into the truck. Got home and realized I didn’t have it, so I called and they said they would refund, but the charge was still on the bill you just gave me. Not a good experience. Theft

Rental went smoothly. Only negative is they have no key drop and won’t accept the key after 11:00 pm, even though the store is open 24 hours. I’ll have to return it in the morning. They need to change that rule. Every other U-Haul rental even excepts keys after closing through dropbox. This place is still open.
