DO NOT GET THIS APP WASTE OF MONEY AND OVERPRICED 1/5
I got this app and the delivery man went to the wrong address, apparently my real address was out of the delivery region and uber eats cancelled my order but gave me no refund for the drinks, fees, or tip. So I wasted $20 on an order I didn’t even receive. Did not get credit or anything. Would be zero stars if I could do that.

I swear a year ago I used to order a meal for $7 and a delivery fee of $1-$3 not bad, now I order the same thing and it comes out to a ridiculous $18 for a meal for one person why is there so many “fees” now it’s ridiculous. You use a “promo code” and all it does is take about a third of the fees away so your not really get any discount on your food at all. I used to love Uber eats but now it’s just a pile of trash that steals your money through “taxes” and “fees” nobody and I mean NOBODY, wants to spend $12 and then with all the fees added pay $20 it’s like wow okay I’d rather just get in my car and drive a mile or two to get the food for a reasonable and worthy price. Fix your fees Uber it’s ridiculous it’s so disgusting and unappealing to new people who wanna order food

I had a few problems on my end that were fixed right away. I accidentally ordered when I thought i was just looking at “my cart” and I asked for a refund and they were super quick and nice about it. I also accidentally ordered to two addresses RIGHT AFTER THE OTHER (my total was 18.88) so i was charged in total 48-50 dollars for an 18 dollar meal. I contacted them and the next day I didn’t even realize the refund went through but they were super quick about it. Another scenario, I had an order that was taking longer than expected and it passed the “latest time” mark, so I contacted them because I had a class to get to, and someone chatted with me right away. I don’t have problems with timing unless it’s at school because I have a limited lunch time. I love uber eats and it’s such an amazing app. I honestly don’t know how many times i’ve ordered from them from the three months i’ve been using it. They can’t keep refunding you for everything, so don’t be clumsy and pay attention to what you’re doing, and you’ll have an amazing experience. Absolutely amazing company. Wonderful people.

3rd time using them ,and honestly haven’t had any real good experience now just questioning why I even have the app. Tonight I ordered food they had to drive like 30 mins away to bring it to me. I’m outside smoking a cigarette and I see the car turn down my street and stop and I message the woman on the app asking if she is finding the place okay. She reads and doesn’t respond. Passes me and my house (in a cove) and cancelled the order. Restaurant was then close and contact number disappeared had no way to reach her or the place ,but customer service. Still no food. Back to DoorDash it is.

My driver was a walker and it took my food twice as long to get there. My food was cold since it was freezing outside. This is ridiculous.
Uber Eats is pure trash. Just had a order that was sent in at 7:55pm and at 9:10pm I still didn’t have my food. They have this trash app set up to where you can’t contact the person getting your food until they pick it up, what’s the point then idiot? They also have they “support” set up to where it’s a pre typed generic answer to your problem. They then have the nerve to ask “was this helpful”? Heck no, not in the least bit. I had a guy at the restaurant then 40 min in he just disappears and a random new person pops up claiming they are now picking up my food. This person claims they are on they way then LITERALLY 5-10 seconds later completely cancels my order because he “couldn’t find my house” that boy stole my food. If you in Htown beware of Adizan or something like that, he’s a THEIF, and so is this app. Oh and how do I know he was lying? Maybe because I tracked him only going two min from the restaurant up the street, parking at a gas station and randomly canceling the order....we live four min away. Again pure TRASH. If I could give 0 I would.

Don’t even bother buying from these fake people. Food was picked up by the driver, was on my way , all of a sudden the hungry driver decided to cancel and take the food !!!! Had a flight to catch , had to travel 14 hours hungry !!! Do you think they provide a phone number to talk to ? .... No freaking way !!! You paid for that p** of s*** driver’s dinner and you can’t even take your money back !!!! Nobody is gonna call you, app has nowhere you can complain or whatsoever !!!!

So I used the app multiple times but on upon one order I received an error message saying my order didn’t go through. So I sent another one....long story short I paid twice but received only one order and everything due to the glitch.
When I reached out to customer service they only answer with one message saying that it will be on my account and that I should’ve better pay attention. And after a lot of forth and forth (since no one cared to messages) thought this would be a more sufficient way to get some attention.

Honestly don’t know what to say this app does not let me use my own phone number because it’s on somebody else’s dead account and I don’t think it’s fair that I can’t transfer that dead accounts phone number all I wanted to do was eat not complicate things
Erasing the app 1/5
I placed an order and within seconds my money was gone and the order was cancelled. They say I have to wait 5 business days when it took less than 1 second for them to take it. Ubereats does not have good customer service because I asked for at least a coupon for the issue and they refused. Don’t use this service!!!
Don’t use this app. My delivery partner scammed me out of my order twice by pretending that he didn’t find the location. The tech support just reads scripts and doesn’t actually compensate you for the time and energy wasted.

The app selected an alternative address we’d used before but we could not change the address afterward when we called for help because it was being delivered by a “batch order” driver?? How is that a customer problem? Ended up wasting food and $50.

So I had the eats pass and was being the central person in the office constantly ordering up to several times a day depending on the team I am working with. Today I figured I’d order myself a quick snack before leaving work from Auntie Anns of all places. Nothing too committal, I never go under the small order threshold, and I always tip at least the 15% even when the orders are messed up or I watch the driver get lost on the map (both of which consistently happen)
Today I learned that no matter how long it takes to get an order vs the length of time it is actually going to take, once the order is placed, it’s only cancellable at Uber’s whim.
So when that 20 minutes is suddenly over 90 and the order has made no progress towards being delivered, and you say nevermind, it’s still yours. They actually have the gall to charge you for the food if you’re stupid enough to push cancel. Eventually they cancelled on their own, and all it did was a push on the app of “your order was undeliverable”
2 hours to not receive an order that was advertised as twenty minutes isn’t convenient delivery.
Not having a consumer based option to cancel an order that’s not coming without charging full price is thievery. And I don’t mean at 21 minutes if it’s not there in 20, but there should be a limit beyond the advertised window that Uber acknowledges their own shortcoming.
Gold Eats pass cancelled and after this month is up the app is coming off my phone. And if there’s any orders between now and then, next time an order is beyond the time window which it always is I’m not tipping so the drivers can be just as frustrated as the consumer and stop using it
The app and service is just horrible. And when you have problems with orders of which there are many, customer service is terribly hard to get in touch with. Terrible at understand complaints, and extremely slow to correct the issue. Which is particularly terrible when you’re trying to feed your family.

I wanted to order a meal but when I already put it for it, I saw it wasn’t going to arrive in time as I needed to be at class by 6 and it was estimated to be here by 6:30. I understand they have a cancellation fee but I canceled immediately after I put it in and they charged me more than the meal cost anyway. What was the point?

I use to love uber but now I really hate this service. From the rides to the food delivery it’s terrible I’ve been scammed out of my money several times. I’ve had drivers ride off simply because they weren’t were there were supposed to be and delivery that said my food was delivered but I never received it. At first I assumed it may have just be a one time or even a two time thing. COUNTLESS TIMES IVE LET THEM SCAM ME JUST FOR A BS $5 refund like I said use other apps this one is by far the most useless money hungry one I wasted my time on

Every time I get a text or email from Uber eats it’s in Brazilian português. I’m an American who speaks English. I travel to Brazil on occasion but why does it assume I’m Brazilian ? I have a US phone number. If I travel to a foreign country am I gonna get texts in that countries language ? This has been going on for years. You would think that Uber would be able to figure this out by now. Ridiculous.

Everything is fine until you need help with an order. Can’t get hold of support. Can’t cancel order or edit order delivery address once you hit submit by accident.

Terrible service when it comes to changing order from pick up to delivery, made me fill form out 5 times and never contacted me like they said they would. Had to walk and pick up my order when it should just be easier to switch order from pick up to delivery. Do better.

Order was cancelled without refund due to driver not “ able to reach me” after 8 min of waiting. There’s is only one door to our Surgery Center. It’s not difficult to figure out where the food items need to be delivered. I always tip the driver above and beyond . This particular individual obviously does not care. So, what happens to my food now? The driver gets to enjoy my paid for meal ? This is nonsense . I’ve ordered many times from Uber eats, this is the first time that the driver left. Previous drivers managed to find the office suite with no problem. This is ridiculous. The restaurants will not help you and refer you to UberEats. I will not use this service ever again. There are other apps one can use .

I would really like to have this application work well. I love the concept. Unfortunately I have been left hanging several times. I often order food while running my packaging line. I have three to five people on the clock so time is money.
We open the app pick a restaurant and order and item and pass to the next person, by the time we all get our meals selected Uber East’s often adds and extra &12 service fee and $2 delivery fee. My 5 burgers all of a sudden costs $110! Ok we are busy so I let it slide and dream of a nice juicy hamburger in my near future.
The order is delivered of one $110 Hamburger. Surely Uber eats or the restaurant will figure this out and it will get corrected .... nope
I go into my Uber eats app click issue with order and they walk you through selecting what was missing and tell you we will get back to you in 24 hours. But I am still hungry!
I call austin terroir. They say the driver left most of the order behind. I ask to talk to the manager. They guy on the phone first says he doesn’t get in until after 4. But then he finally talks with someone and they basically say it’s Ubers problem and they aren’t going to do anything about it! You think there would be some kind of notification to Uber on the restaurant end to say hey you didn’t take all the order. Come back and get it! Maybe there is and austin terroir just doesn’t care what customers think. But I was left hanging with no food.
It was obvious to me from added fees and total disregard for customer experience that restaurants really dislike working with Uber eats. I have had enough bad experiences that I think I will just skip Uber eats and start working directly with restaurant deliveries.

Everytime I use this app the same guy picks up my order and doesn’t move from his spot then I have to call Uber eats customer service to get them to get me a new ride for the next person do the same thing, not pick up my order. It’s annoying and this app just waste my time and money.
Keep cancelling orders after waiting 1/5
5 times in the last few months we have ordered and it says delivery picked up on the way and then all of a sudden goes to cancel status no reason given. When I call customer service I wait over 30 min on hold to be told they are sorry and to please rate the ap . You have to wait 3-10 days to get your money back when this happens and they don’t care. Service fee delivery fee and tip make it expensive to use it in the first place and. Is this!!?? Use one of the many other food aps not uber!

I ordered food through Uber Eats, and my salad came with no dressing. There is no way to fix such an issue! If you submit a complaint, they promise to respond within 24 hours. Really? For ordering a meal that you want to eat immediately? This is ridiculous and I will never order via Uber Eats again.

I only used this app once, but halfway through my order the status suddenly changed to “cancelled.” When I reached out to support, the driver falsely claimed I was unable to be reached - and support refused to offer a credit for the troubles. Caviar offers credit when they make a mistake. Seems like a sketchy service.

I have been using UberEats way too much for years. They have always been great when there was any issue with my order. My most recent order was terribly late, and missing over half of what I paid for. My driver was so sweet and apologetic. She said she had called Uber and they had her on hold and switched to someone else. Then the restaurant told her to just take me my food for free because they’re actually a good business. Then Uber charged me in full and hasn’t responded to a single message from me in 3 days I’ve been dealing with this. They have lost a customer. There are too many food delivery businesses out there for me to be loyal after something like this.

Had a terrible experience tonight. Restaurant called because they were out of what I ordered, and since it was the only vegetarian item I wanted my order cancelled. They said I had to do it from the app. There was no option to cancel on the app. I contacted the restaurant 2 more times and they informed me I had to do it. I called costumer support and was on hold for 15 min and it dropped the call. Then called again and was on hold for another 15 minutes before someone picked up. Took an hour to resolve and I was starving. This app does not make it easy for the restaurant or customer to deal with these issues, or to get quick response. Then I tried to rate how my support was on this issue, and the app glitched and wouldn’t load. So I was not even able to rate and bring this issue to uber eat’s attention. I won’t be using uber eats again.

Via the app I watched the driver pick up the food and stay in the same place with it for 40 minutes. No help from their call line. Unhappy and hungry without answers for the delay.
Incorrect and Cold 1/5
If you love incomplete orders and lukewarm food then this is the place for you. The drivers don’t check for accuracy, ignore instructions and the food is never warm. And for this, you get the extra privilege of paying elevated fees for your meal. Do yourself a favor and dine in or pick it up yourself because when they REALLY screw up, all you get is partial refund or partial credit. They will never make your order right!
Worst food delivery app I’ve used and I’ve used all of them. I’ve ordered several times thinking it was just bad luck but nope, this last time will make sure I don’t use them again. We ordered food from a restaurant 5 minutes north of our house. It went fine until our driver was “picking up our order”. It showed he was a good 10 miles south of the restaurant location and his car was just sitting there. There’s no way to contact the driver until your food has been picked up so we were stuck. I eventually tried calling support 3 different times. One time they answered then hung up the phone. The other 2 times I was on hold for over 10 minutes with no answer. As I’m writing this, he is still “picking up our food” and it’s been an hour and a half since we ordered with no way to contact him or support to find out what is going on or get our money back. Ridiculous.

Just ordered food and the restaurants stated time was 15-25 minutes, food is projected to arrive in, and hour after order placed. Uber said they would charge me the full price of food to cancel bc it was still in the projected delivery time. Which projected delivery time?! The original or the 5th time it was pushed back? I will be sticking with grubhub and doordash from now on.
