Uber Eats does not care about customer retention. I’ve had several delivery issues but have continued to spend a lot through the app because more orders came right than wrong. They never compensated me for the inconvenience or time wasted. But the final straw was when a driver claimed to deliver my meal, but hadn’t. Uber Eats blamed me and charged me despite my frequent use. They lost a customer that has spent thousands over a $13 order.

If you place an order and canceled it real quick they will charge even though you order again the same thing and doesn’t notify you / that you will get charge even though you cancel the order

For the first day or so after I started using UberEats, everything was fine. However, one day when I tried to order food, it told me that there was an error and that my order couldn’t be completed. I tried closing the app to see if that would fix it, but then when I went back on, it said my account had been disabled. It said for more information visit t.uber/disabled. I did, but the website doesn’t load when I go to it. I can’t fix it so I deleted the app and won’t be using it again.

I cancel my orders after one second I click deliver, I still was charged more than 13 dollars, I called the support and they refused to refund to me because they said the restaurant has already accepted the order, but I contacted the restaurant, they said that they didn’t even start prepared my order, I am a two years Uber eats user and you guys should not do this to me, my heart was ice-cold and the customer service is being rude to me, I never able to get my food and just want my refund, i swear that I will never used this app anymore, so bad

My order basically never came as I ordered subway and the delivery driver tells me that they messed up my order so I ordered a steak and cheese and they give me a tuna sub(which I’m allergic too) and when I explain my situation and ask for a refund they tell me they can’t make a price adjustment and i spent $19(because of all the fees) on food that I couldn’t even touch. Will never order on this app again.

I ordered food at 7:45 from McDonalds and it stated that it would be delivered by 8:05. I wait, 8:05 gets here. I check the app now it says 8:15, that time reaches, then it said it’ll be here at 8:30. I called customer service the lady says the driver is there waiting for my food. She asked me if I wanted to wait or get a refund. So I decided to wait. I received a message from the driver stating he’s at McDonald’s and he’s waiting for my food. Get another one at 8:45 saying he’s on his way. The driver gets here and what does he have? Not my order. The order I received was something totally different from what I ordered. Called customer service, and was issued a refund that will take 3-5 business days. Glad I’ll get my money back. But, won’t use this service ever again.

So I have used it 3/25/19 for the last time yuri was the carrier and she took off with my food she first tried to cancel the order then some how she magically ends up in my alley way gps doesn’t bring u to the alley still tried to get it she took off down the street I told her I could see her she needed to turn around she sure did n sped right off with my food no support hasn’t contacted me so I had to dispute the charges with my bank

The problem with Uber Eats is there is no accountability. If something is wrong with the order, the restaurant refuses to fix the order or reimburse and Uber Eats also claims to not be at fault. Most of the time it is actually a malfunction with the App. Uber is making enough money right now, they should make sure to improve the customer service.

I ordered sushi around like 8 pm and they said they’ll come in an hour. It didn’t come so I called and the sushi place said that the driver took it already. The driver never came and I’m starving. Those people steal my food and this isn’t even the first time this happened to me. Every time I ordered a burger, they steal it. They shouldn’t let people who steal food on this app. I lost $100 dollars because of that driver.
Most expensive food delivery app on the market 2/5
Aside from having great customer service, there’s nothing really left for this app. They used to have affordable delivery options, now they charge a whopping 15% delivery service charge on top of whatever you want to tip them. Most restaurants even upcharge their price per entree by like 10% already. So imagine something at a Chinese restaurant that costs 8 dollars in house is now listed on the menu for 10 dollars, then services charge of another 1.50, and then I should tip the driver, oh and don’t forget the other delivery charge of like 4 bucks. One item on the menu costs 20 dollars now. No thanks, rather use Grubhub or DoorDash now.

UBER OVER CHARGES!!! On top of a delivery fee there is now a forced service fee on top of the taxes you have to pay. You’re better off ordering from other food delivery apps like Postmates,grubhub, DoorDash or just going and getting ur food yourself. There’s too many other services available like Uber eats for them to be charging a service fee.

Get an order wrong with postmates? Or even, get overcharged and get the wrong item? After arguing, Postmates will give you 5 bucks, maybe 10.
Uber eats gave me a complete refund with no hassle. Great.
Edit: small order fees as they are currently implemented are evil. I order something for 9 bucks, now there’s a 2 dollar small order fee - pure profit for Uber. I could order some item for 3.50 that I don’t want, and Uber and the restaurant make a little bit more (but probably not 2 dollars after costs) or, Uber could charge me 50 cents or something. The latter would be fine.

My go-to restaurants are all up like $3-$4 from what my orders used to be..ever since you guys “lowered the delivery fee” and upped the service and small order fee -_- smh you really think people won’t notice? I’m moving to DoorDash or grubhub

Used to be my go to delivery app, but they just added new service fees with no explanation which are 15% of the subtotal, on top of a small order fee if your order is under $10, on top of a delivery fee, and a tip for the Courier. Not worth it anymore, you’ll get more bang for you buck with Postmates or Grubhub. Deleting right now

Uber Eats is 100x better than any other delivery app. Especially Postmates :)
Charging a 15% service fee is pretty hefty...and that’s just Uber’s part not a tip to the driver. Won’t be using this app again.
Doesn’t allow me to login after last update. Says “unauthorized.” Crashes repeatedly. Useless. Also, worst customer service on earth. CSRs are downright nasty. With all the food delivery competition out there, you’d think UberEats would attempt to set themselves above the rest. Not the case. Bad app. Horrible customer service. *update* After last update, it’s even worse. Crashes constantly. Tells you to join rewards program, but when you click on it, you get a message that says sorry, something went wrong. FRUSTRATING!

I used to work for a company like Uber eats (Instacart) and as soon as they introduced a service fee, employees stopped making money like they were. People no longer want to tip due to paying a higher price (delivery fee, food cost and service fee~who would want to pay 30$ for a 15$ plate at Panda Express???), so your workers are suffering. Without your delivery drivers, you wouldn’t have a business; they literally make your company possible because they use their own gas and wear and tear on their cars to deliver food. I’d rather my money go to my delivery driver than another fee that goes into Uber’s pocket! I will be uninstalling Uber Eats (and so are a bunch of other peeps here in Austin) until the service fee is gone. Cheaper delivery is nice, but not at the cost of underpaying your workers! I’ll just end up using door dash or favor from now on.

Be careful if you accidentally order from the wrong area, they will still charge you full price for the cancelled order. I like DoorDash a lot better. 😡

Uber eats charged my acct for an order they never picked up or even delivered. I called the restaurant that I chose to order from and they said Uber eats doesn’t service them anymore. Why is that restaurant still an option on the site. This made me look really bad to an account I’m servicing as a medical rep. I’ll NEVER use this app again .

I travel... a lot.... and accidentally had the address of a previous hotel still saved in the app. 10 seconds after pressing the order button I realized this and tried to cancel right away but the restaurant had already accepted. It must be an automated system, there is no way humanly possible that they can accept within 30 seconds. I tried to cancel several times accepting the $38 cancelation fee, it wouldn’t let me. I called Uber eats and instead of contacting the restaurant so they wouldn’t start cooking the meal, Uber eats talked to me for almost ten minutes trying to explain to me that they weren’t able to cancel and refund my $$$. By now the meal has most likely started to cook so I paid the $50, called the hotel front desk and told them to enjoy the meal on me!
It is my fault, but, Uber eats, this mess could have been avoided by making me put in the delivery address manually before ordering or sending me an alert when I’m not using restaurants in the area I’m in. Also, I confess this happened to me with Grubhub, they canceled the order at the restaurant right away for me and refunded me my $$$ so I could do it right this time. One star until app is fixed.
UPDATE: After posting this, Uber contacted me saying (again) that the order could have been canceled before the restaurant accepts it. And again,... I tried to cancel right after ordering. The restaurant accepted the order 5 seconds after it was placed. There was no room for human error.

Grubhub, Postmates, and others are much cheaper now with unlimited delivery free trials. Do not waste your money on service fees they try to hide and charge hoping you won’t notice.

Functionally this app is amazing. I love the selection of restaurants, the tracking, the UI. But fees and service charges bring the price of a delivery up too high. A recent $30 order cost $10 in delivery/service charges, which is a 30% markup, and that’s before tax and tip. I save this for when I REALLY want a particular restaurant that doesn’t deliver, and the rest of the time I choose a cheaper delivery app. If it weren’t so overpriced, I’d use it much more often.
