About 1/4 of the time something goes wrong with orders. Often missing items or an issue where the driver will confirm the order, but they never come. And then you have to call customer service (which is a difficult number to find) and get them to switch drivers. Anther annoying problem is that the wrong vehicle will be listed, so when I am looking for the vehicle to find the driver out front (many cars at my building) I have to call the driver.

I CALL TO CANCEL AN ORDER A FEW SECONDS THE ORDER WAS PLACED. THE APP PUT ANOTHER ADRESS AND THEY TOLD ME THAT THEY CANT CANCEL MY ORDER THAT TO CANCEL I HAVE TO PAY THE FULL ORDER BUT WHEN THEY CANCEL THEY DONT GIVE YOU ANYTHING THEY ONLY GIVE YOUR MONEY BACK THEY DONT GET A PUNISH LIKE THE COSTUMER.

I bought my food and gave the max tip because I wanted to support the driver and maybe it would incentivize them to deliver faster. I didn’t get my food until a full hour later. Based on reviews, i shouldn’t even contact customer support because even though the app displayed 45 minutes as a max delivery time, my food was postponed twice and still arrived late. So if you want your food now, use a different app or get it yourself. Uber eats will take AT LEAST an hour

So I ordered burger king and they delivered to the wrong house and said they couldn’t take it to my house because they went to the wrong location then said they will keep the money and the driver will keep the food as i was speaking to the guy i asked for a supervisor and he said no and hung up I literally can not believe this on too of that if i was at the location they went to it was still 20 min late!!!

I’ve ordered from Uber eats by myself multiple times and it’s been fine. I’ve ordered twice while other people with me have used other ordering services and Uber has consistently been 45 to an hour and a half slower. I don’t get it. How can it be so much slower? It’s just drivers picking things up and dropping them off, but for some reason Uber eats has been terrible.

I switch between this one and DoorDash because they don’t offer the same restaurants.. well I placed my order not realizing that the delivery address hadn’t went back to my home address (I had a delivery made to work a couple weeks prior). So as soon as it processed my payment it popped up and showed where the food was being sent (my work) so I sat there trying to find out how to change the delivery address as fast as possible. I clicked on the help link, clicked on change my address and it pulls up a list of things to do... go to your page, change the address, click the magnify glass to search for the restaurant to see if it still pops up. If it does they say they will still deliver. Then it says call customer support ( with NO PHONE number listed)... So, I go to google and search the phone number, it gives me one but when you call it says that it’s no longer monitored and then goes through an entire automated system... “if you’re a restaurant call this number.., if you’re a driver call this number.., if you’re an eater call this number.... By the time I get through ALL of that, I call the new number only to have the rep tell me that it’s been 4-5 minutes and it’s too late. He tells me I can cancel the order and still be charged the full amount or I can let the order be delivered to the wrong address and still be charged. I even asked the rep if they could not just pass off the order to a different delivery driver and he said no. Cool, so you just keep my money for a service I never received! 👌🏻👌🏻
Drivers steal food regularly 1/5
Twice now drivers have stolen food out of my order. Not to mention the times when my food hasn’t shown up at all. When I request a refund, uber offers to refund what’s missing but now I’m freaked out at the fact that someone’s hands have been in my food. Uber doesn’t require restaurants to use any tamper proof methods. So far I’ve only seen McDonald’s use any tamper proof sticker on the bag. Orders can be completely stolen and never show up, cancelled at the last second. Imagine someone’s been eating your food while on delivery. Do yourself a favor and stay away. It’s not worth it.
Update: months after posting this review I gave UE another shot, and found that since complaining about my stolen food I’m also no longer eligible for any promotions.

Want your food delivered later than expected? With missing items? Oh and someone else’s hair in it? Then Uber Eats is for you, order away! Don’t bother reaching out to customer service either, they won’t do what is right for the customer, and give you your money back when mistakes are made. Just avoid this app altogether!

Great concept but NEEDS LOTS OF HELP 1/5
First order- 2 mins before it was supposed to be delivered it suddenly got cancelled. Everything was set up and done and I can literally watch the driver head to my place yet food never came and I received a notification saying it’s just been canceled... no explanation, no heads up... I definitely have had better luck with DoorDash and do NOT recommend Uber for food delivery...

This app is absolutely terrible and unreliable. Ordered at 7:40 and it said expected delivery was 8:05 and the latest was 8:30. It now says 8:55 and is continuing to go up. Awful app.
Delivery Service Going Down Hill 1/5
I use to love this service. I don’t know what changed but seems like drivers are picking up more deliveries is every which direction. It use to be deliveries actually along the way but now they can be 15 mins in the opposite direction and you end up waiting 30-40 minutes for a delivery that’s 5 mins away.

It shows available restaurants and you go through all the trouble of putting all your items in the cart only for it to say it can’t be delivered? What the?! I’ve never seen that before and forget about trying to get customer service to help you. They are impossible to even send a message to!

I’ve been using UberEats every day twice a day for more than a year now. Works great, could use with some fixes- Once I subscribed to the Uber Eats Pass I no longer get the 5min countdown shared free delivery options, sometimes I don’t want to spend 15$ for the free delivery so please fix that. Also it would be good if could have my own notes for specific dishes I tried at different restaurants that I can see if I try to order again later from that restaurant (right now I can only see if I liked a dish, I would also like to add my own comments on portion size, value, spiciness etc). I order from so many dishes from so many different restaurants that I can’t remember all of them. Also, in the Orders list, in the receipt I’d like to see what payment mode was used.
Últimamente o recibo la orden de otra persona o después que hago mi orden no hay lo que pedí. Adicional Uber no me hace reembolso total sólo el delivery. Es una falta de respeto no tener la orden y pagar por algo que no recibí. Han cambiado demasiado. A veces hasta me salen pedidos que no e realizado y me los cobran a mi tarjeta. Would definitely recommend if you're wanting to waste time!! Waited almost an hour for a delivery only to find out it was cancelled by the driver several minutes past his ETA. Didnt receive any form of communication from the driver and customer support just gave scripted answers and suggested I re-order my food. No thanks. Such a horrible, frustrating experience.
Grubhub is a thousand times better this app was designed by monkeys after accidentally ordering food seconds later it said there was a refund fee of 25 dollars for a 30 dollar order then I attempted to at least charge the address of course I couldn’t through the app, called support the support line for Uber Eats was no longer available eventually I reached out to the restaurant and got them to waste their time delivering the food I didn’t want to the right address. Worst app ever

Please make it possible to leave instructions for the driver while picking up the food. There’s no reason why I shouldn’t be able to ask for sauce, ketchup, etc. I have this issue no matter what restaurant I order from on this app. It would be perfect if this were fixed!!
No refund 1/5
I placed an order and cancelled it in less than 5 seconds. The app said that the restaurant already began food preparation and so the order was cancelled and no refund could be processed and no food would be delivered. Terrible customer service and everything is overpriced. I was also supposed to have the 15 dollar credit from the Platinum Card applied and it was not.

I like Uber Eats but some of the fees are ridiculous, taxing on a delivery fee that’s equivalent to taxing a tip and that small order fee is nothing more than pure robbery.

There is no way this app legitimately has 5 stars. Uber provides 1/2 star customer support. Stop responding to people with “tell us more about your concerns...” and fix the problem of how your customers CAN’T CONTACT Uber Support! Hundreds of reviews here say the same thing. Your customer service is so horrible because IT DOESN'T exist.
Use Postmates, GrubHub, DoorDash...ANYTHING but Uber Eats. There is absolutely no way to contact Uber Eats when you have an issue! And believe me...you WILL have an issue. The “in app support” takes you to a pre-filled set of “problems” you may have and lets you read one of their suggested help responses. You don’t speak to an actual human. There’s no chat feature. There isn’t an email option and the “leave us a note” gets you this response: “Thanks for the feedback!” If my order is wrong I’m not looking to give you feedback; I’m looking for you to fix my problem; and immediately. DoorDash, Postmates and GrubHub all have the feature where you can speak to someone. Uber Eats...should you be lucky enough to even find a number to call....has a voicemail that asks you to use their in-app support and “drop them a line” (aka feedback) and the calls hangs up.

Food took more than an hour and fries were cold, not satisfied with the amount I paid for. Also they charge me an extra 2 dollars fee for “small order” but before enrolling this app that fee did not show up in the summary, that’s dishonest. I am never using this app any more and I do not recommend.

Your home may not be the current delivery area. Here’s a tip, have a search option which uses your address to verify you’re in the delivery area before going through the process of signing up. It’s great to be put on a mailing list for when my area will be added but it’s better to know up front the delivery area. After reading all of the negative reviews, kinda hard to believe that the app has a rating of 4.8? Fake reviews? J/S since all the responses I’ve seen are one star reviews. Why post reviews that are over a year old, there has to be more current responses? Something isn’t right with this. I’m gonna pass when and if this delivery option is available in my area since it would appear the delivery person will spit on, eat a portion of your food, or just throw it on your porch. What kind of service is that? Thanks McDs. Guess this won’t be posted again. Deleted this WORTHLESS app.

Some of the ordering systems (like McDonalds) do not have options for special notes.
Very disappointed with Uber Eats, was able to order from them once and have had problems since, I receive an error code every time I try to make an order, have been given numerous things to do they support to try to fix this and still no resolution. I have UBER CREDITS that i could be using for RECOMMENDING this app to someone else only to not be able to use the app myself.
My driver cancel my order because my app had me at the wrong address and they will not give me my money back even though I contacted my driver and tried to change the address

DO NOT DO IT. They eat your food before delivering it . They some of my stuff 3 orders in a row I tried to let it go the first time but after that I was mad . And the app did not let me report them

After using UberEats many times I finally deleted the app because of the poor support. Other apps give you the ability to contact the delivery partner and/or make changes- this does not until they actually pick up an order. Impossible to find support number and message options through app.

Terrible customer service despite the hike in fees and addition of new fees.
This app is a ripoff. They get your credit card number. Then if the driver can’t find your front door it’s your fault and you pay for food you never get. The surcharges, fees and tips make this very expensive. Bad service. Bad app.

Got orders wrong, times wrong constantly. I have a dairy allergy and they began refusing to refund me or credit my account because there were “too many errors” which were due to the dairy allergy. Even with pictures included.
Update: uber has asked for more information. My friend has severe gluten and dairy allergies. When we informed restaurants of her allergies; our orders were incorrect over and over. This most recent time I ordered with just “No dairy” and yet again the order was wrong, everything was contaminated with cheese. It was an expensive order and entirely inedible. Uber eats has refused to refund me even though pictures were included because I have too many refunds on my account. If you have dietary restrictions: this is not the app for you. Recommend Postmates.

The only thing for my recent order is they forgot to put coffee stirrers. These are given to my office mates. Please make sure to check your delivery before heading out.
