I like this app a lot . I can check all the wait times on all the rides ahead of time . I don’t have ve at the ride to see the wait time any more. Now you can look at any ride and wait time in any Universal Park. The wait times are mostly accurate but sometimes they aren’t .
Food Ordering Needs Work 3/5
Overall the app is great and I have used it for years without issue. I was excited to see signs about mobile ordering at the Krusty Burger location of restaurants and I went ahead and tried it.
The ordering process was easy and quick. I already had a card in my digital wallet so I was able to compete the order quickly. My friends all went ahead and ordered on their phones and we got an email confirming the order. We found tables and sat and waited. And waited. And waited. It was very busy so we figured they were behind but after 20 minutes we walked up and the staff member (Po I think his name was) let us know the food has been ready for 15 minutes. He said we had to keep the open to be notified. He was super nice and remade the whole order before I even asked which was great customer service. I let him know we all never received a notification on all of our phones and he said this is an everyday occurrence and we have to leave the app open. Uh, what? Is this 2011 where apps can’t notify?
At the end of the day the whole point to the app was saving time, but we still ended up waiting about the same amount of time. So what’s the point then?
Turns out we were not the only ones and lots of people had the same issue and were now all waiting around staring at the app like watching water boil in a pot. I can only imagine how much food is wasted daily because of this.
Devs, this is a simple problem to solve. If I was able to receive an email that the order was placed, then at the very least send an email when the order is ready. On top of that, send a push notification when the order is ready. This is the #1 most important feature of a food ordering app, letting the customer know the food is ready! I am not sure how this got through your product managers, but this is basic stuff.
3 stars for design and ease of use, minus 2 stars for not understanding how consumers use the product.

If you know the name of the attraction, it would be nice to search for it by typing it in. That way it can show you on the map instead of having to search for it on a general list.

I linked both myself and my wife’s tickets to my app. We are preferred annual pass holders and Florida residents.
I am trying to verify my payment history as I received an email about card failure. I have tried calling but office is closed and I have gone online and looked at app. I am unable to see what I need to do to reprocess the payment.

Worst experience ever at a theme park. Nothing but confusion. Can't ride rides because of complicated rules and policies. Can't ride here: closed, only virtual riders, computer not working, on and on. Can't get free soda refill here go there, don't have ice here or here try over there. Never again.

Why No Apple Wallet Love? 4/5
I have been using the app over the past few days and am very impressed with it. My only suggestion is to allow both my park ticket and express pass to work with the Apple Wallet app. The park ticket already has a QR code so just needs to be formatted to Apple Wallet pass. Anyway with that I am impressed with app and look forward to changing it to 5 stars when the feature is turned on.

Sleek look but not easy to use 2/5
The app looks great at first glance but lacks navigational features that would be most useful. For instance, there isn’t a back button after clicking on menu features, forcing users to start over. Ride wait times should be displayed on the maps instead of having to tap on the ride. Directions to rides, which I thought was a feature, is buried somewhere that I can’t find. There are several other things that just aren’t intuitive. It’s a good start, but needs some pretty major updates in order for it to be truly useful.

confusing how to store your bag in a dark room without assistance . very crowded and chaotic process . Leave your bags at home on this ride and stay to the left. Prepare for a dimly lit area with universal staff while yelling in your ear telling people what to do with their bags.

App won’t allow me to sign in and it’s really difficult to see the resort hotels vs park amenities on the map

This after uninstalling and reinstalling iOS 12.1.2 (or whatever the newest one was as of 12/23/2018).
Was able to navigate the login screen by guessing where the inputs went, and the “back” button is invisible but where you’d expect to find it.

Diss appointed and not scared stole our flashlight 2/5

We were very excited to go to Halloween Horror Nights fue the first time. Our expectations where high and we very disappointed. To begin with they confiscated my husbands brand new tact flashlight. No remorse and would not work on returning it to us after the evening was over. The wait to get in was horrible. We had the fast passes and still had to wait minimum of 40 minutes to get in. We were not scared at all. The haunted houses had so many things hanging and touching us and again we were never scared. The money we paid between entry tickets and fast passes where definitely not worth the experience. Very dissatisfied and would not go it again. Oh abc the prices for the beverages and food was ridiculously over priced.
They owe us a flashlight we paid $20 for. Won’t do it again.
Halloween Horror Nights 3/5
Went to HHN on Oct 28 2018. The app was good for line times and map. However I mostly got it for the trivia and background info on the house’s. That part of the app never worked. It was always locked. I also never got a notification that the line had dropped in time, which it did according to the signs around the park.

We went to Disney for the first part of the week and got comfortable with the app and magic band. Following that up with the contrast of the Universal app makes it clear Disney is a few years ahead.
The Universal app is buggy, with passes sometimes showing and sometimes appearing for a few seconds and disappearing. Linking Express Passes is useless as it was an issue every time we tried to scan.
Wait times are off, the interface isn’t intuitive, integration is limited and all in all its a waste of battery.

Disappointed that we had to spend the morning in line at guest relations because our pre-purchased express passes did not populate on the app the day we needed them. They were there the weeks leading up to our trip. 👎

Latest Update - Crashes and Wallet Issues 1/5
The latest updates have seriously hindered the app. Now when attempting to view my mobile pass on the wallet it quickly kicks me back out of my QR code and after a few attempts the app then crashes. Second I have one of my friends passings for next week still showing as processing after almost a week. Universal, you really need to have some better QAs testing this app for bug issues. I’ve called and been told nothing can be done at this time and to use the pdf provided. Please have some look into this and the random crashes occurring now after this latest update. I had zero issues with this prior to last weeks update.
